HagbardCeline's new wallet working fine here.

Xpool is still mining Uno. You can get payouts in Btc, Ltc or other coins, or include your Uno address and receive Uno payouts.

Due to their requirement to sign a message with the bitcoin address to change account settings, I have not been able to get my Uno address to stick there.  Xpool doesnt like the wayElectrum signs my message.

Anyway, check out xpool.ca for merge mining with Uno.  https://www.xpool.ca/blocks/UNO

Added Altquick.co to the OP!

Nice work, Blueman!

What is the reason we still cannot bring uno on other exchanges? for example poloniex
I think we could get on Polo if we really wanted it.
A Chinese exchange would be my first choice, since it would bring something really new to the Unoverse.

But I'd rather have a couple of good markets than too many small lightly traded markets.

I'm having a lot of trouble trying to find a block source for UNO to synchronize my wallet (Wallets v0.10.bluechist complied by Blazr2) since the last update.  I've successfully updated & synced other coins without issue and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this as well?

Hi Digicoinuser,
Welcome!

Here is a post that shows how to create an Unobtanium.conf file in Windows. I hope it helps.

Mmpool and apparently give-me-coins pools have been under ddos to extort bitcoin. I'm now convinced this has resulted in Un's hashrate drop off.

The drama is playing out right now for mmpool. You can watch it here.  I suggest keeping out of the thread, just watch.

"But after 25 years if we are still alive . . . "

What a nice thought! Let's set a goal of First International Meetup within . . . 3 years? Singapore? the garden here at the Unobtaniuim Club? Europe? the U.S.?

And what's the bet that some of our children will be Uno community members?

And yesterday I learned a trading thing: on the cryptrader charts I began to understand the red-green buy-sell depth chart. (Don't laugh. We all gotta learn!) Wow! Support is so strong!

M

Make it west-coast of the US; I'll be there.

Las Vegas. Blazr  that is the perfect location on West-coast! But no problem for Singapore or Europe to!

Vegas works! Cheesy Cheesy Love your graphics!

I'm in for Vegas!

July, 2014, you could have picked up Uno for .00125.

Where will it be next July?

Poor mmpool is still being ddos'ed.  Their contribution to Uno's network has dropped off the table for now.  Contact mmpool thru private message to get on the pool.

Hey guys and gals,

It was bound to happen sooner or later. Following a huge brute force attack on the admin account,  Unobtanium.uno is being ddos'ed in a major way.

I have implemented Cloudflare ddos protection. Please give a day for the new DNS settings to propagate.  Until then the site will appear offline, but expect to see it again within 24 hours.

Consider it a complement. Only important altcoins that have an amazing long term future should anticipate being ddos'ed.

i actually havent taken the time to look into it but from what ive seen on cryptopia, 'every' UNO pair is extortionately high and the volume is almost non-existent.

no surprise here...

so thanks but no thanks.

maybe AFTER the recent pump has subsided will i take another look.

Some of them are fairly priced, like CHAO.
But yeah, there's not a ton of trading there today. That's why I'm suggesting... if there's a pair there that someone is interested in, or buys anyway, come in and help make a market for it.   If someone is a fan of Uno and Dmd, combine your interests and make a market for the pair.

Since we're bantering about Uno markets and rare coins, there is also SquallCoin which has 500k, and is deved by a Legendary BCT member.  And MileyCyrusCoin... Only 1.1 million! Smiley    Of course Blazr's 23skidoo is super rare at only 23 coins ever.

Rarity alone doesn't make a coin successful, of course. Uno has the right spec blend, came along at just the right time, and has just the right community and devs to make it a long term player for whatever awaits it. I don't think we need another Bitcoin, but neither can Bitcoin ever be Unobtanium, not with Bitcoin's rapid velocity and inflation.

I saw that Genesis Mining still offers a Uno option.  I had switched away after merged mining, but now that the hash is under 1phs this week, I switched my 250 ghs over there back to mining Uno directly. I really shouldn't be earning much on 250 ghs with the network hash rate still in the 850 ths range, but the past 3 days in a row I've earned payouts of .1 Uno, which would seem to represent a really good run of luck. That's a great return on my hash for my contribution of about .025% of the entire network.

Here's the block where I received my payment moments ago from Genesis.
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/uno/block.dws?630769.htm

From the number of payments made to Uno wallets in this block/transaction, there seems to be a lot of people mining Uno.

It seems they paid out about 5 uno, which means they solved about 320 blocks per day out of about 480 blocks predicted each day, which would give them about 67% of the network. Now this could be very inaccurate. Just because I'm earning .1 Uno per day, others might be seeing their payout for several days of mining. We don't know.  I'm not alleging anything, and I respect Genesis Mining. I just think the math is sort of interesting.

If were to speculate, based on the math I'd assume that Genesis switched all of the Uno hash over to mining bitcoin, and that it has instead implemented Uno payouts. That would get me closer to .1 uno/day. That would actually be a smart move.

I just thought this was interesting and I didn't really have anything else to talk about today. I'm not complaining about earning .1 Uno each day for only 250 ghs of hash. That's very cool. I hope it continues.

Cryptopia has a DMD/UNO market.   We need some DMD over there.

Tag, you're it!

Congrats to Diamond on it's run up.

We had a good long discussion about merge mining here, and there were good reasons both pro and con.   It was a challenge for us. But since we committed to it, merge mining took us from about 15 ths to 2 phs.  It fluctuates, currently about 900 ths. Some of this recnet hash loss is due to Mmpool being under ddos, and also ispace had taken Uno down for maintenance until just recently.

It was important to start building pool relationships early, and then keep doing outreach. Uno has not been picked up by the ghash's and slushes yet, but I remain optimistic.  Some of the pools are run by die-hard bitcoin operators who swear they will never add an altcoin; their loss, imo.

I think strengthening the security of the blockchain was a very good move for Uno, and a vote for the future. Uno will not be mined out for 300 years.

@BN, I'm out of the loop. Is there news on LTC, or just a big pump?

Not specifically about Uno, but I'm a Seth Godin disciple.  He has an interesting piece about debt today, mentions Bitcoin at the end. Thought it may be interesting to this group.

I have no doubt this has been covered before somewhere in the previous 400+ pages, but as search is disabled, it's not going to be easy to find.

I was recently sent an amount of of UNO, the first transaction to my wallet since 30-3-2015 ... The wallet would not synch (v0.9.5.0) ... I went in search of a solution and from the coin's website found the wallet had been updated to v0.10b together with a new config file.

I downloaded the windows version ... I run 32bit Win 7 ... Extracted the .zip and tried to run it ... This is what I received ... Don't understand what version of Win is the .exe designed for ?

Any help or advice would be appreciated

Next part ... using v0.9.5.0 with the latest config file I was able to get the wallet to mostly synch, however the amount of UNO I was sent has not appeared in my wallet as yet, even though the console is as shown

The current number of blocks never matches the estimated to fully synch ... I have deleted previous block info and re-synched still nothing.
The transaction is shown in block explorer ...http://explorer.coinpayments.net/address.php?chain=19&addr=uKFdGADVd6B8K7roUAQPu1kkFoF8PX5HEK

Anyone know what I should do ?

There is an update on Unobtanium.uno.  Download the 0.10 wallet from Blazr2 (aka HagbardCeline). It's 32bit, should run on virtualy any Windows.

Is there really a benefit to having a separate 64bit wallet? I don't think so, really. Nobody will notice a difference. I think I'll stick to Blazr2's new 32bit wallet for now to try and avoid these kinds of issues going forward, or until the last 32-bit machine bites the dust.

Passed out mid fix.

backup laptop is now synched and wallet.dat restored.

main laptop still not synching/0 active connections after multiple attempts & complete wipe/fresh installs

Can you rule out that a firewall might be blocking it?
You may have a firewall in your router, and another one on your computer.

You shouldn't need a Unobtanium.conf file, but do you have one with addnodes?

mmpool is reporting a ddos attack. If you merge mine Unobtanium/Bitcoin there, check your hardware. They have backup pool at backup1. mmpool .org.
