1421  Other / Meta / Re: Why my threads been moved from Services to Gambling? on: December 16, 2015, 08:55:30 PM
What kind of gambling is involved in signing up on a site which is not related to gambling at all?
The only explanation I can really think of is that it's mostly Gambling sites which offer these giveaways, and the section may have been created to house giveaways by these Gambling sites. Since the section was mostly for giveaways, other non-gambling sites were then moved there as it was the most appropriate section.

I've never really questioned why giveaways and such go there, they just always have.
1422  Other / Meta / Re: Why my threads been moved from Services to Gambling? on: December 16, 2015, 08:29:38 PM
Things such as paid signups or free promotions belong in Games and Rounds (where it has been moved to), not the Services section.
1423  Other / Meta / Re: Just remove signatures already. As in delete, disable, gone. on: December 16, 2015, 02:45:08 PM
Nope. Can't find it Huh
You don't have this selection box?
1424  Other / Meta / Re: Just remove signatures already. As in delete, disable, gone. on: December 16, 2015, 01:33:26 PM
The issue is not the ads....the issue has always been the useless posts. Ignoring the ads does not help with the spam has always been the issue. Look at any thread here and you will see 10 people all post the same answers just worded slightly different.
He asked for a way to 'ignore' the ads here, so I told him. I know what the problem is, and that it isn't the ads.
1425  Other / Meta / Re: Just remove signatures already. As in delete, disable, gone. on: December 16, 2015, 11:47:06 AM
The ads are shit, too. There should be a function to ignore them. This forum just finished blowing buckets of coin on from-scratch software design; it doesn't need our monies.
There's a place in your settings that you can choose to ignore ads if you so desire.
Profile->Forum Profile Information->Disable Ads.
1426  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The user "thatstinks" is a scammer! on: December 16, 2015, 12:01:10 AM
bullshit
Login times prove nothing. If you feel that strongly about EcuaMobi being an alt of Thatstinks (which he isn't), have another trusted member access your account, or is everyone else here an alt of thatstinks too?
1427  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary one day? on: December 15, 2015, 11:40:22 PM
Is it possible for the randomness to be more heavily weighted towards the larger activity requirement?   (Then it wouldn't really be "random" though...)
Eh what?
I believe he's asking if the site is more likely to wait for a higher activity number before rewarding Legendary. The answer is no; it's 100% random between the two set points. Due to people's luck and the nature of the activity system it can look like it does lean more heavily to the higher side, though it doesn't.
1428  Other / Meta / Re: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? on: December 15, 2015, 08:47:17 AM
And if you come back at a mule you will be found and banned for ban evasion, same as your camwhore girl. People here are very good at finding people's alts here.
1429  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: which script is here? on: December 14, 2015, 07:38:32 PM
To me the script looks like a modified version of Elbandi's Minifaucet, and I know that similar faucets used this script as the base. Don't quote me on it, though they do look extremely similar imo.
1430  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Overview] The one thread to link them all on: December 14, 2015, 07:28:35 PM
It seems that 'Beyond Internet' in the Technical section isn't available to users such as me. Which sub-forum is it in?
1431  Other / Meta / Re: Hilarious bots posting nonsense: what's the point? on: December 14, 2015, 02:28:55 PM
Not sure if I understand you correctly but if it was hidden from humans how would anyone post or get around it themselves?
I think he means similar to a honeypot. For example, create two 'Subject' bars when making a post, have one with the original name value ("subject") which is hidden to the user using CSS, then have another with a random string as it's name (Just a random SHA256 hash would do; the name doesn't need to have any significance) which is the one visible to the user and sends the actual subject value to the server to post. Any bots which have not been adjusted would submit to the original bar named "subject" and would be unable to make a post, but any user would be able to use the new, random bar fine and it would make no difference to their normal posting experience.

It would, at best, be a day or two before the bots could re-adjust to this, as more computational power would likely have to be involved to find the correct one (especially if there are several of the random value bars, only one being visible to the user), though it could buy some time for a more in-depth solution to be implemented.
1432  Other / Meta / Re: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE? on: December 14, 2015, 02:20:22 PM
If I were you, I would just turn around and continue making my alleged 1400 dollars instead of wasting so much time on things that do not pay your rent or turn your lights on.
Yeah, no. I'm going to ignore the rest of the post because it's the same shit you always spout, but this bit is significantly more retarded.
I find it funny that you cry about people giving you criticism here, but you then continue to be judgmental of what hilariousandco (someone who actually means something here) does in his free time. I'm sure that there are better things that you can do in your spare time than chatting up your cyber-girl and whining about her being banned here. Shut the fuck up.

Also, why are you still wearing your YoBit signature? You have been removed from the campaign; you're not getting paid anymore from it. Do you understand that?
1433  Other / Meta / Re: fetch bitcointalk data on: December 14, 2015, 01:59:05 PM
thanks for the link i saw the codey they haveused html, css, php, xml and java too and honestly it has confused me even more i have read about scraping on google but never saw anything about it . hope i fan figure this this out and more hope is welcome
If you want to scrape a webpage, I suggest using PHP or another server side language. If you want to use PHP, I suggest that you use this framework; I have used it in the past and as long as you have a basic idea of PHP data types it's very useful and easy to use.

Also, it should be mentioned that if you want to scrape the forum you should only do it once per second or your server/bot will be IP banned.
1434  Other / Meta / Re: Hilarious bots posting nonsense: what's the point? on: December 14, 2015, 10:17:15 AM
how would the bots react to an extra input field on the posting page, one hidden from humans? I expect renaming or rearranging the fields is out of the question since that would probably break all the "good" bots here as well.
This would probably stop them for a short time, though I expect that the bots would be quick to adapt and find a way around. It could be good as a temporary solution while the staff find a more permanent one.
1435  Other / Meta / Re: Searching My Posts on Google (Is there a partner site)? on: December 12, 2015, 07:51:08 PM
bitcointa.lk is basically a mirror of this forum on a newer forum software in order to improve the viewing experience. It's run by a pretty trusted member and you can read more about it here. You can link your forum account here to that site in order to have your posts transfer over automatically, though I wouldn't suggest using the same password just in case.

1437  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: need help with api on: December 11, 2015, 08:53:06 PM
What error do you get while fetching the API? Have you made sure that your GUID is in the correct format, and that your password is url encoded (if it contains any special characters in the URL)?
1438  Economy / Auctions / Re: bitads.co - 0.003BTC start on: December 11, 2015, 10:43:22 AM
Auction ends tomorrow at 6:26AM GMT. Last chance to get any bids in.

1439  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Vanity Addresses! on: December 11, 2015, 10:37:13 AM
While generating address for 1King won't you get more address starting with 1King? Or only one address? I asked if you could give me all the addresses generated at certain time. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
It depends on the config settings that he uses. If he was searching explicitly for 1King the program will stop once he finds that address, though he can set it to continue searching until he stops it manually. However, this would likely cost a decent amount more, as he will be using a lot more computational power.
1440  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary one day? on: December 10, 2015, 10:17:21 PM
I think
it would be great to create separate threat with 2 weekly time frame update.
If people want this I can make and maintain it.
