1421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 24, 2023, 10:08:17 AM
There were rumors that Ryan Garcia just quit on this fight, specially after that 2nd round knockout of his. But I'm looking at the replay of the body shot he got from Tank, and it seems legit, it has power behind that punch and his body was exposed, very vulnerable for a body shot.

And with that win, I shoot up Tank to be my #1 p4p list, followed by Naoya Inoue.

How about everyone? What do you think of Tank's performance here, are you with me ranking him the top p4p boxer right now?
1422  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going down. on: April 23, 2023, 05:00:09 PM
Not by much though. I mean I understand it was over 30k and that made everyone happy and I understand it is under 28k which makes people upset, but that is just a drawback. Remember, the market "could" become a like a bow sometimes, and it ends up thinking that you could draw the bow back a bit, and then you let it go and the arrow goes, so if you draw it a lot further back, as back as it gets then the arrow goes further, if you draw it just a little then it goes just a little away, as far as your own foot.

So, this could be a drawback and I believe it is, this means that we are just testing back the 28k levels to see if it's strong enough and then when we see it is, we will feel more comfortable about buying a lot more bitcoins.

Let's see first $27,500, I think that is now the support level since $28k has been breached. It actually went as low as $27,200 and everyone thought that we are heading to $25k again. But the market is strong or at least the bulls is reclaiming back the position and pushes the price to the support line.

So yeah, this is just a little drawback and let's hope if will hold and then we can go back to $28,000 because that's where we are trading sideways for more than a week before the sudden push to $30,000-$31,000. So going to be interesting last week of this month again.
1423  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 23, 2023, 04:45:57 PM
Did anyone see a confirmation on Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence to fight on June 17 or is this confirmed to be really an April Fools joke? I am waiting more than 1 hour for the announcement.

[..snip..]
I don't know if I missed the announcement or I was just busy on my day because right after the Tank vs Davis fight ended, I directly tuned up for the NBA games because in that same hour, it's still the LAL vs MEM (Game 3). But since you mentioned this now, I directly rushed to search it on google if there was indeed any announcement made regarding about the Terence vs Crawford fight but no, there wasn't any. Another disappointment, IBF should now make their move to give the mandatory fight.

I already said in the other thread that there's none, no announcement that is going to be made about the supposedly fight of Spence and Crawford. Most likely it's just a promotional trick for this fight.

As for the fight, I was rooting for Garcia, but he looks very amateurish against this version of Tank Davis.

In the post fight interview, Garcia said that he can't breath from that body punch and said that he can't stand.
1424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: April 23, 2023, 04:26:41 PM
This is indeed a walk in the park for Casimero. Nghitumbwa is nothing at Casimero's level. He will just be sent in Casimero's home country to be fed to the lion. But Casimero should first make sure that he is in perfect condition so that this fight will not be compromised as well just like his previous fights. And even if Nghitumbwa is just really somebody to defeat, as always in boxing, he could still upset the favorite. Casimero should cleanly knockout Nghitumbwa early in the fight to again gain attention and get better opponents.

I am looking at the fight as an easy win for Casimero but there is always a chance of an upset to happen.  So let us hope and pray that there will be no lucky punch for Nghtumbwa and got an upset win.

I don't mean to underestimate this unknown boxer but I believe Nghitumbwa's sole and only chance to win this fight or at least have an advantage is if Casimero's problems in the past will chase him again in this weight class or if he will get injured while he's preparing for this fight. But since Casimero's weight is not an issue anymore in this division, then there will be no reasons that will hold back Casimero to defeat Nghitumbwa.

Or just one lucky punch, that hail mary that when Casimero is hit, it's goodnight for him. Just like when Marquez caught Pacquiao. Nevertheless, we can't compare those fights though. I think Casimero will still be cautious in the beginning of the round, just like against Akaho. And when he feels the power of his opponent, then that's where he is going to be aggressive. So yes, no reasons for him to lost in this fight and he needs to win this very bad so that he can still chase for the belt in this new division that he is campaigning.
1425  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: April 22, 2023, 12:06:56 PM
I cannot blame people to have full confidence in Inoue because he earned it. He has too many achievements and he is a guaranteed first ballot in the Hall of Fame even at this current stage of his career. P4p #1, undisputed champion, 3 division champion and he became a champion in only his 6th pro fight.

True, he has beaten the best of the bantamweight division and unified all the belts. So he deserved all the accolades and probably this is one reason why he got a first shot moving up in super bantamweight against the champion.

Fulton on the other hand is very brave by traveling to Japan to defend his belts. Fulton has the size and skills. Fulton has a proven solid chin too after what we saw during the Figuroa fight. So I won't be surprised if Fulton will try to establish himself early as the aggressor to gain respect and not allow Inoue to just hunt him like prey.

Fulton says it doesn't matter as he believed in his talents and tools that he can beat Inoue whether in Japan or in the US. Yes, the fight with Figueroa was a back and forth fight and Brandon almost knock him down. But Fulton shows that he has a tougher chin that we have tought and it might be enough against the power of Inoue who is not yet tested on this division.

Problem:
Quote
What if BTC won't see ATH again?

Solution:

Seems like way too many are concerned more about the price and the gain in $ than realizing Bitcoin will work as intended by Satoshi even at $100 or $100k.
I remember Bitcoin being called "A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System" not a quadruple your money every cycle earning scheme.

I agree but it seems that Bitcoin becomes one of the best assets that we have today, even surpassing Gold in my opinion. So it's really hard to see people not concern about the price. Although most of us can still used it P2P even with a 3rd party involved.

As to the narrative of the OP, I don't think that we won't see any ATH again. When we see that there is a demand, then obviously the price go South. That's the basic of all assets, scarcity is one of the most contributing factor just like Gold or it's digital counterpart, which is Bitcoin.
1427  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: April 22, 2023, 10:18:10 AM
I still wonder though why there is no update in this fight?

The weird thing is that when I check Donaire's boxrec, there's no future fight, usually when fighters have potential fight is will be shown in his record. But not in this case. So personally, I don't think that this fight is going to be made though. We don't know if Santiago and Donaire are even doing some negotiations right now. The point that Donaire is in the Philippines and then us talking about how business savvy Rachel Donaire is  Smiley makes me think that it might take some time or even the fight could not be done for this year.
Without a doubt this is odd, but I suspect that with 4 titles on dispute Donaire is not going to sit out and let someone else take the title shot instead of him, for Donaire is not important at all who he is fighting for the title, what matters is that he gets a shot at it, and it simply does not seem realistic for Donaire to wait until the next year to make this fight when the opportunity is right in front of him and his age is slowly becoming a factor which will hinder him.

And that is the point, why need for this fight to happen next year? WBC is the number 1 rank governing bodies amongst the current 4 organization. And if others could mandate their rank fighters to schedule a fight, so does WBC.

But the same question, doesn't make sense if Nonito will sit out the rest of the year, he is 40 years old and time is not on his side this one. I don't know if this is deliberate on the part of Santiago or anyone else in WBC, but something is not right here.
1428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs John Ryder - May 6th in Mexico on: April 22, 2023, 09:38:48 AM
John Ryder should able to utilize the advantage he got because he have the height and reach advantage which should be enough to outbox Canelo if he can't knock him out. Apart from that, withstanding and weathering those punches from the champion would be a big help for Ryder to maintain his scores. To think, John Ryder is somehow lucky because he got a good 4K clip from the Canelo vs Bivol fight which should give him some points to consider on how to outsmart Canelo and second, Canelo came from a surgery which is possibly a good thing on his side.
Canelo's height is 5 ft 8+1⁄2 in while Ryder's height is 5 ft 9 in, Canelo reach is 70+1⁄2 in while Ryder's height is 72 in, that's not a big difference. It's really depends on Ryder's strategy in the ring, he need to able to receive all damage using his shoulder and being aggressive. That's what most boxers can't do it because Canelo's punch is strong and hurt too, but Bivol physical appearance and body are more stronger.

Ryder were struggling when he fought a boxer which previously has been defeated by Canelo, so that's not make me convinced to see Ryder pull an upset.

Not that much difference are far as their physical comparison is, on the other hand we might see the Canelo might still be the stronger puncher between the two despite his hand injuries, I think Canelo still possesses those dangerous body punch that bring his opponent down.

Although triangle theory doesn't work on boxing, but we can see the Ryder's previous opponents wherein he had a hard time, Canelo just bust them up easily. That is a strong indication that Canelo and Ryder are not on the same level, IMHO. And it's hard to see what tools Ryder has to upset Canelo in this fight at his own home soil.
1429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: April 21, 2023, 09:48:47 PM
so This fight between Spence and Thurman will only be an appetizer for what is to come, whoever wins, I think that the fight will be heard.

Is there assurance that this fight will happen?

According to this article below, it says that the deal is being finalized. However, it's not enough information. We need confirmation that the deal has already been finalized, so we can expect that the fight will really happen.

https://www.boxing247.com/boxing-news/errol-spence-keith-thurman-finalizing-a-deal-for-april-in-154-lb-fight/256670

Same as you mate, I honestly don't know as well whether that deal is real or not because we already had the same information few months back but look what happened, the deal suddenly went off out of nowhere when we are already expecting a positive news. No one knows what happened, some says that both camps had some misunderstanding and some even believe that Spence is not ready for that fight yet.

Yes, everyone here is already tired of this going back and forth of Spence fighting Crawford and also Spence vs Thurman. It's already April and no fight is going to be made between anyone of them.

Just said that the governing body is not doing anything to force Spence to fight for his mandatory.

If he doesn't want to they should stripped him of his belt. That's how they've done before, perhaps the corruption is rampant that they are afraid to impose it because he is being handled by one of the most influential person in boxing right now, Al Haymon.

1431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 21, 2023, 08:23:39 AM
I'm pretty sure people won't be bored and they will be glued to their seats for the entire fight as every round could be explosive.
However, they might be disappointed as this fight could end very quickly, possibly within the first three rounds if both fighters start aggressively, since we know they are both capable of knocking each other out. This is a championship fight between two undefeated boxers, so it's unlikely to be a one-sided beatdown, even though Tank Davis is heavily favored.

It might end that way if both will show their aggressiveness and will try to box one another, it can end up in the early rounds.

But for me, I like it that way if both will start strong and aggressive, meaning to say that they both take one another as serious as it should be.

A good respect and a good way of showing one another that they are not afraid and they want to bring them down.

I believe Ryan Garcia won't settle for a toe-to-toe fight because he will be in the disadvantage side as we already know that his chin is not that sturdy enough to to receive powerful blows especially from Tank Davis who is also a KO artisan. It will be wise enough for both camps mainly Ryan Garcia to wait for an error before he gives a counter as he will likely make some mistakes if he will be the aggressor.

In the press conference, Goosen says that they have a strategy A and strategy B, so we don't know what it is until the fight itself. It could be Ryan going toe to toe and be the aggressor because of his height, or laid back and try to wait for Davis to make that one mistake that will give him the opportunity to counter with his left hook.

So really hard to see, a lot of scenario's can play into this fight and it's like going to be a chess match between this two young fighters. Both are very confident that this fight is not going to distance though, meaning someone is going to sleep.
1432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as indestructible asset on: April 21, 2023, 08:09:27 AM
No one is willing to attack Bitcoin's blockchain because it will cause too much money. And even if the hacker was successful, sooner or later the chain will have to revert back to the original, so it's not easy as it sounds.

As for the term "indestructible", not sure if this is application to Bitcoin or crypto in general it's digital money so obviously, it's not like fiat that you can hold and destroy it physically.
1433  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: April 20, 2023, 11:00:50 AM

I am also curious if the light-handed Fulton will try to become the aggressor against the heavy-handed speedster just like what he did against Brandon Figueroa.

That would not happen as he understands how powerful Inoue's punches are. If he makes a mistake, he might get knocked out, and that would be embarrassing. No fighter in this division can go toe to toe against Inoue. They should use a strategy where they have an advantage, and it's certainly not becoming the aggressor of the fight.

It's much better for Fulton to observe Inoue first and try his chance to once he feels that he can take Monster's solid combinations.
but being aggressor I think that's not a good idea.

Knowing how solid those punches and how strong Inoue it will be, a fight with good strategy and not just to engage with a toe-to-toe confrontations.

Fulton's camp might study Inoue already and they are preparing for a good plan to execute.

Sometimes though a boxer will have to take a big risk specially facing a big puncher like Inoue, Fulton will have to think that he is the bigger guy as Naoya is the one who is going up in weight and maybe can't take his power. Mentally he has to play this in his mind and who knows, it might be really a good strategy in the beginning for Fulton.

But this fight is 12 rounds, I mean there could be moments that Fulton will have the better of the exchanges and then there will rounds wherein we thought that Inoue will end the fight. But in any case it goes to distance, I think Fulton will have a better chance so score a upset in judges scorecard.
1434  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: The war is on on: April 20, 2023, 10:12:28 AM
^^ Well it's good if Coinbase will have to look for other country that they can go and continue being one of the best exchanges without the government always on their tale and being threaten with a lawsuit.

And that is the advantage that countries like Bermuda had, they will attract more and more crypto related project to set their headquarters in this tiny island because of the relax crypto regulations. So for me this is good news, and this could be just one of those big exchanges to move to other countries too.

1436  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take Part in Gambling Lotteries ? on: April 20, 2023, 12:58:41 AM
Local lottery? of course, we have one near my place so if there are no people in line then I will obviously try my luck and see how it goes. The thing is that most of the times the line are too heavy because every one is trying to get their hands on it specially if the lotto pay is on the millions. But we all know that odds for to win is astronomical, so take our chances.

For crypto based lotteries, I have never tried it to, because in the beginning, it's really hard to show proved that the game is provably fair and that the one who started the game won't rigged the results.
1437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we should play on minor gambling platform? on: April 20, 2023, 12:39:53 AM
Hi there guys,

Since I've seen what happened to Coinplay, my question was: Why we should play with minor gambling platform, and not use only gambling platform like Stake, CloudBet, fortunejack ecc. which ensure us good games, 100%

of safety in terms of withdrawal and provably fair (about games)? This question is also for the owners of gambling platform, maybe they can help to reply it.

Well if someone is willing to take the risk then play on second tier gambling platform. The problem is that those second tier might look legit and not scammy, but we still don't know if they are going to scam us or not.

Perhaps they will lay a trap on us, at the beginning with no KYC and you can withdraw instantly, but when you are winning big, then maybe they will change their tactics along the way. So it's really hard to trust them as compare to those top casino's that we have right now and that's where we play mostly because you know that you can withdraw fast without any questions and issues.
1438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: April 20, 2023, 12:23:51 AM
because the gambler sometimes still believes what he sees. like for example my friend when playing slots always looks at the RTP before making a bet and he chooses a type of game that has an RTP of 98% but the result is still a loss.
whereas I play Slots very rarely and have never even seen the RTP on the type of Slot I want to play but as a result I have been luckier.
so this RTP in my opinion does not guarantee someone's luck or victory but it would be better if we bet on slot games that we think can bring us luck. no matter how good the RTP is if you are not lucky in the end you will lose.
Nothing beats the gambler getting his luck, regardless of the slot game's RTP. I've never checked the RTP but I'm not feeling lucky as I'm rarely able to win a lot of money. Most are only close to the BEP or can reach the BEP of the amount of money I use.

And it's better to play slot games for fun so we won't think about winning by getting a lot of money. And we can also enjoy the slot game casually.

Yeah, for fun it will be slot games for me, now it's very accessible, you don't have to go to land base casinos to enjoy. There are alot of options now, whether fiat or crypto based platform, you can bet and enjoy with your family.

I know about the RTP but I also not looking at it, I mean not checking as long as the slot machine is my favorite then I will have to play that game, win or lose. Just take note though, that it's about luck so just play what we can afford to lose. Don't be that gambler who goes on and be addicted and wasted all his money on slots.
1439  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 19, 2023, 09:41:20 AM
It's been consolidating in this price range, around $28,000 and there are no major movement. I think the resistance is $28,500, if we can break that and then price remain steady, then we could move upward to $30,000. But so far none this month, it's very slow, but maybe in the latter part of the month, we might see a good news that will boost the price. So we will see, yeah, I know that there is no guarantee, and so we might have to take it day by day.

Or if no $30,000 in the horizon, might be some pull back, but we shouldn't be discourage, it could be a good and healthy one, even in bull run, we will see some pullback as the market needed this short period so that we can go back and refresh the market when the price goes down and everyone can buy again.
April seems to be a unique month and different from the past three months that we have were we witness an increase in the price in the beginning of each month. I'm still fine with the current month as long as the price won't drop heavily because it might delay us again on reaching the higher levels and it wasn't easy to get this far. A pullback isn't discouraging though as you said but it was only a part on how this market works. It happens so that those who are late in crypto can be given a chance to buy at a lower price even if not the same low as the pioneers' experience.

Yes and we have a pullback at $29,300, however, we are still in the middle of this month, and as far as sentiments, investors are still bullish I reckon. And if we have this kind of healthy pullback, it's not discouraging but we have to look at it as opportunities.

As I have said, we should take this golden opportunities in front of us, we may never see the price below $30k in the next couple of months or at least when we approach the halving next year. And this reset it good for us as we can buy and continue to accumulate.
1440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 19, 2023, 07:53:36 AM
What can say about this potential staging of fight in Saudi Arabia involving the top heavyweights?

https://twitter.com/MichaelBensonn/status/1648011840050307075

Do you think that Eddie Hearn can make this happen?

Who's going to be the main card? the undercard card?

Who's going to win between Fury and Usyk? Wilder vs Joshua?

Gonna be interesting if this can really happen in the future, and if that money is on the table, then I don't think that anyone can refuse it unless their ego flare up and wanted more slice on the pie.

That is one hell of a card and probably the biggest in heavyweight if Hearns can do that. And most likely everyone can be on-board if the money is really that big, it's almost half a billion on the line.

But the A-side is still Fury, so might be very difficult to negotiate that one against Usyk as we all know that the supposedly fight of this two has broken down. He might have a chance on the Joshua and Wilder though. This two hasn't face in the year and fans are waiting that this fight is going to be made although the two has losses already.
