1441  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: May 06, 2023, 04:07:45 PM
I once discussed with my partner about moving abroad, but he disagreed with that and said he didn't want to be away from his parents, especially now that my mother-in-law only lives alone.
based on the conclusions of my post, actually, I really wanted to move to other countries and change the fate of my family, but after being tied to marriage, it was impossible.
1442  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: New Scam Alert With the Use of ChatGPT on: May 05, 2023, 10:54:50 PM
...
Additional Tips:

There's no app or websites for ChatGPT yet where you can download or get the verified app through an official website, some may demand money from you to make payment before they can offer you such, recommend you a link or require you to provide some information about yourself, know this that ChatGPT is meant to be freely provided from a genuine source, anyone claiming they already have this are likely to be scam because it has not been fully operational yet. read more here:
https://www.makeuseof.com/how-to-spot-fake-chatgpt-app-on-apple-app-store/

thanks, OP for the information, I'm still confused why people are trying so hard to find the perfect AI over chatGPT when there is no perfect AI including chatGPT, are they too lazy to think LOL?

I don't forbid the use of AI because it really helps work easier so far but downloading or clicking randomly on AI programs really doesn't make sense, why not play it safe?

enough with the hype on AI tokens, we all have to learn from the hype experience on DEFI - NFT/METAVERSE - MEME projects which are mostly only used to deceive potential investors. for those who have already bought AI tokens because of FOMO, then all you have to do is sell it all (if you have made a profit) but if you are still losing, all decisions are in your hands (whether you will hold or sell).

even those who are FOMO on the $PEPE token will only suffer losses soon. stop fomo on tokens or coins that have no real use case, focus on Bitcoin because no one will be the next Bitcoin.

Hey to all, so I'm in Thailand and I have used someone service to convert crypto to cash, and it was so amazing and fast!
I want to recommend it for everyone who need cash in Thailand for crypto 100% safe!

sorry friend, we don't understand what your goal is to make this topic I didn't click on the link you provided but I opened it via scam advisor, there are only 2 of them who review it so I can't believe 100% with the claims you make. and it would be better if there were members from Thailand who verified your claim.
1446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: May 05, 2023, 08:03:14 PM
I can never give such a person credit. Someone that gambling matters to than the happiness of his family. I hope other addicted people can learn from this, that gambling can not give them anything but than to be losing more and more if addicted. Our elders should be good examples and role models.
You are right gambling can not give anything good. Once person become addicted in gambling they are not easy to go away. They always want to win and they become greedy. Because the one cause of gambling is greedy for money. They want to gamble because they want big win until they realize that they are becoming addicted.
I think gambling is better to quit if you can't control it by gambling he lost hundreds of times more money than he won. Gambling is an addiction in which you will always be in a daze, you will feel like playing this one more time, taking the profit, and not playing again. Then when you win you will say let's play for the last time when you lose everything while playing for the last time you will say, I will take the original and resign from gambling. Then that last time will leave you destitute.

actually, it is not appropriate to say stop gambling in this thread, gambling will not destroy your life if you do it responsibly [Gamble Responsibly], image destroyers about gambling are people like the case in the OP, gambling has changed a lot of a person's life in just 1 night (although some have changed for the better or for the worse). I myself will continue to gamble, I'm not addicted to it, self-control is the main key.
1447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does the world still see Bitcoin as a scam, or is it just a lack of interest? on: May 05, 2023, 07:45:33 PM
...
So it would be hard for them to consider holding Bitcoin to use it daily.
Nevertheless, the community is still growing bigger 💗, and people's interest in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency keeps growing.

as long as people are still living under the control of the government, then as long as they will continue to believe what the government says and think that bitcoin is a scam.
if ask to average person, do they know Bitcoin and if are they going to invest in bitcoin, surely the majority will say they don't know and don't want to buy bitcoin, it's all because their brains have been washed in by harsh warnings from the government and the lack of education they receive about bitcoin.
I really believe that the growth of people who accept Bitcoin will continue to be positive and the use of btc in everyday life will also increase, but we don't know for sure when will get there.

4. If you need a motivation for saving, attach a goal to it. This explains itself. Save with a goal or purpose in mind.

What money lessons have you learned so far?

I like all the lists that you provide. but there is one thing that you are missing, namely buying things as needed and that is one of the money lessons that I learn.

many people unknowingly run out of money because they buy unnecessary things, even though the money should be used for other purposes. nowadays having the ability to manage finances is very important especially since inflation continues to make the money we have less and less valuable.

1451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had a time traveling machine, then? on: May 04, 2023, 01:49:40 PM
Bitcoin is such an uncertain future currency that no one can say for sure what will happen in the future. Hundreds of predictions are constantly being made around Bitcoin. Predictions were made about this valuable currency in the past as well but some have gone down in history by selling this precious currency at a low price.

Martti Malmi sold 5050 bitcoins for $5 at a rate of just $0.00099 in 2009, setting the record for the lowest bitcoin sale in history.

Laszlo Hanycez made history by being the first person to buy a product at the lowest price in exchange for Bitcoin. He made history on May 22, 2010 by selling 10,000 Bitcoins for just $40-$45.

Our forum admin sir has sold his 160 bitcoins at a rate of only $0.003 on exchange for $0.48.

Pic collected: Source

Not only here but also in the past hundreds of Bitcoins have been traded which is amazing to see today. Those who traded Bitcoin at that time are now only regretting it and those who bought and held Bitcoin at that time, it is amazing to think how much their fortunes have changed today.

If you could travel back in time today, what would you do?

even though malmi and laszlo look very stupid for selling the thousands of bitcoins they have at very cheap prices but look at the bright side, their names are recorded in history and we will always celebrate bitcoin pizza day because it was inspired by laszlo.

I also have a little regret, back when the bounty was still paying huge amounts, I didn't convert it all to bitcoin, I even splurged and spent it to buy a car, that was really a big mistake for me. even though I want to go back to that time but I think letting go of that moment is much better than regretting it, it's all a valuable lesson.
1452  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] - CoinJoin Crypto Mixer | Your Anonymity Is Our Priority! on: May 04, 2023, 10:43:10 AM
Hi Renampun, we are really happy about the fact, that our blogs give you a good insight on how to further increase your privacy and on the Internet. We are constantly publishing new blog. If you have any questions, that you would like to have it answered in one of our blogs, feel free to tell us!

thank you for the positive response you gave, I will definitely do that btw, but I see there are no new posts from the unijoin Twitter account, I think updating it will be great Wink

I agree with you completely. Currently the competition is tight between mixers but I know for a fact that users are jumping from a mixer to another as some of them really have extra features that some don't and it's okay and normal for this to happen.

I also found UniJoin way more friendly towards an user or even someone who has low knowledge about Bitcoin or Mixing in general , UniJoin will simplify this in just 5 simple steps so everyone will be able to adapt to it super easily. Just wait until bear market is completely gone and we will see mixers rising even further.

competition from mixers is fierce because based on data (moreover, Mixer is a platform that protects user privacy transactions), the share of the global privacy market continues to increase over time, and a little snippet is below;

Quote
Data Privacy Software Market To Garner US$ 35,088 Million Revenue By 2030 Growing at CAGR 40.2% - Exclusive Report by Acumen Research and Consulting
SOURCE--

although in some countries the rules regarding mixers are very strict, their market share is very promising and I'm sure unijoin will be one of the market leaders in this mixer competition, they have good traction.
1453  Local / Marketplace (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Strategy Marketing Ditengah Invasi Online Shop on: May 04, 2023, 10:20:42 AM

1454  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I won £50 - should I use it to buy Bitcoin? on: May 04, 2023, 08:06:08 AM
Although I am a Bitcoin maximalist, I believe that you should diversify your savings as an additional security measure. It is also important to keep some savings in easily realised assets. Bitcoin is great as a long term hedge against inflation, but I don't cosider it to be an easily realised asset. Of course it is a simple matter to sell coins for cash, but its volatility means that it is important to time the sale. The law of maximum perversity states that when you need to sell Bitcoin, its price will be at its lowest ebb. Bank savings accounts can enable you to withdraw funds almost immediately, but the interest rates are low. In view of these facts I decided to purchase some UK National Savings premium bonds last December. These are government bonds that don't pay any interest, but the interest from all of the savers' bonds are placed in a prize pool, and prizes are awarded each month. The prizes range from £25 to £1,000,000. I won £50 in this month's draw, and the money will be paid into my bank account, and it is tax free. Now what should I do with the money? I could use it to buy more bonds, as the minimum purchase amount is only £25. Alternatively I could buy a few Satoshi, as I believe that we will see a sharp rise in the price of Bitcoin later this year, or perhaps early next year. The million pound prize is tempting, but so is the doubling or tripling of the Bitcoin price.

if I was in your position, of course, the choice is very difficult but anyway (tell a little; I have been faced with a case that is almost similar to yours when I win a gamble, will I use the winning money to buy bitcoins or make it capital in multiples, in the end, I make it in 50:50 portions), all your choices are in your control, btw do you not have the plan to share it in 50:50 portions, I think it could be your option if you don't want to feel bad (like my case).
1455  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: May 03, 2023, 06:55:34 PM
So to reach everyone (beginner gamblers or people who have the potential to become gamblers) needs a warning and also education from the government (especially in countries that legalize gambling) but I see that currently the government's role in educating their citizens is very minimal, they only busy with taxes from gambling but not focused on their citizens who are harmed by gambling addiction (as people who are responsible for citizens, they have no responsibility for gamblers).
Usually there are a seminar or event discuss about gambling addict problem by non profit organizations, usually it will launched in school because it's targeted for young kids. But this make the young kids who not school due to lack of financial will not learn about gambling addict, I think most of gambling addicts are come from uneducated people which lack of financial. So yeah, in order to safe it, all of young kids need to be facilitated by the government to make them school for free.

Back when I was still in college (I spoke for the area of my country), I also joined a non-profit organization for counseling on the negative effects of drug abuse and gambling, but now it seems that the organization has disbanded because it is no longer receiving funding from the authorities. So it's no wonder how many young gambling addicts appear here, it's all because they are not equipped with knowledge about gambling, so they do it without being fully responsible for themselves. In this case, of course, what should be blamed is the lack of attention from the government, but what can be done because the government nowadays is more concerned with their own stomachs and pockets than the younger generation.

1457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is important? Knowledge or Experience? Or both in Bitcoin Learning! on: May 03, 2023, 04:00:23 PM
So in conclusion, if you are new and want to learn something about Bitcoin, ask the guy who has a lot of experience. Then it becomes knowledge to yourself. Then applying that knowledge and going through some trials and errors, you can gain the same experience. It is important to learn them both in my opinion. But you need to follow the path of what to do when. That way, I am sure success is guaranteed.

Let me know your thoughts. Or share some of your own experience.

_tjtonmoy

I still remember very well, the person who first introduced me to Bitcoin was my friend, he had known and had experience in Bitcoin for several years at that time (before me), I asked him a lot and fortunately, he always gave me information good and proper and proven that his experience has taught him a lot, then slowly I started to find out about the knowledge (ins and outs) of bitcoin - blockchain technology - cryptocurrency. learning from experienced people is luck imo it's like a new player using an elevator that goes straight to the top, not climbing the stairs slowly.
1458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mainstream crypto adoption on: May 03, 2023, 03:31:26 PM
I think it's important for cryptocurrencies to use energy wisely to become popular. XGo helps with that by offering features like trading and swapping that don't require energy-heavy mining. It's a good move towards a more sustainable future for crypto.

In my opinion, eco-friendly cryptocurrency is just a marketing word (trick). based on a study, currently, bitcoin mining (the majority) has used sources that are more environmentally friendly,

so if the government claims that the cryptocurrency they create is more environmentally friendly, isn't that just a trick of diversion? other than that people who use cryptocurrency are those who want to be free from government restraint, so using cryptocurrency that the government issues is like "coming out of the lion's cave but entering the crocodile cave"

1460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop comparing BTC to FIAT. FIAT is dying every single day. on: May 03, 2023, 01:38:35 PM
it will be difficult to escape from price comparisons, especially since this has been embedded in our minds for a long time, for the needs of exchange or trade between countries, comparisons between local currencies between countries are used, for example, rupiah to USD or rupiah to Poundsterling.

Currently, many people compare the price of Bitcoin to the dollar, so the DCA method was created. However, the thing that needs to change is the mindset of people buying Bitcoins. I have started to change my perspective on the BTC exchange rate to my local currency.

I use the method (currently) the price of 1 bitcoin is equivalent to Rp. 415 million, so when the bitcoin price touches 450 million rupiahs, the bitcoin value strengthens, whereas if the bitcoin price touches 400 million rupiahs, the bitcoin value weakens (essentially I prefer the bitcoin price in front of the fiat price).
