They will change their mind once crypto becomes more mainstream. They will lose out on a lot of customers if they don't accept crypto. It's most likely due to the large swings in price. It can be annoying to get paid in btc and then one week later your money is only worth half the amount. Prices will become more stable though once btc is accepted everywhere.

why they dont put bitcoin owners in jail and all crypto exchanges owners....all goverments know already they scamming people for their usd ,,,bitcoin goes down alts going in down not because people selling because exchanges selling alts for bitcoin and when bitcoin go up alts not even hardly recovering ..... when it should actually be opposite and alts should go up because bitcoin falling why we allowing those exchanges making millions a day lets face it they know when and where to buy alts and bitcoin and alts they control prices ....
Many governments have already started to go after fraudulent ICOs. Bitconnect promoters were being investigated last time I checked. It's difficult to go after exchanges because they operate in foreign countries with different laws. For every shady exchange you shut down, another one pops up. I think that a lot of government officials own some type of cryptocurrency now so it is in their self interest not to destroy the ecosystem.

Just wanted to create a thread on this and if anyone has heard from reliable sources of well known people recently expressing interest in cryptocurrency.
The only celebrities I've seen talking about crypto are guys in the tech or finance industry. Warren Buffet is heavily against bitcoin which should be expected as he stands to lose a lot of money from its' success. I did see some celebrities promoting ICO scams though. They weren't interested in crypto, they just promoted it for the money. I remember Floyd Mayweather, T.I, Paris Hilton , and Dj Khaled all promoting an ICO this past year.

I've heard a lot of negative reviews regarding yobit and hitbtc. Just take a look through the scam accusations board. Scroll through the past pages and you will see many accusations against Yobit. They constantly have problems with holding funds and not letting you withdraw. Hitbtc is known to have the same problem with the added bonus of having ridiculous withdraw fees.

I expected Lebron to leave Cleveland again after watching him this past season. You could tell he was fed up with this team and city. James got tired of dragging a team of scrubs to the finals every year only to be destroyed by the warriors. Yes they got lucky one year with the 3-1 comeback but that was a fluke.

Right now we are at about a 3 percent inflation rate, which is still pretty low for a new type of currency. Most fiat currency is usually around 2 percent. The reward gets halved in a couple of years so our inflation rate will be much lower and a large price rise will soon follow. It's going to take about 100 years for all the bitcoin's to be mined and by that point the price will be very high so miners will still have a big incentive to support the network.

Everything follows bitcoin's movement and this probably won't change until more fiat trading pairs rae introduced. You need btc to buy most alts.
I've been looking at many low cap coins for fun and many of them are down over 90%. Alts get hit the hardest in a bear market but they are also susceptible to massive pumps during a bullrun.

You can start invest in bitcoin now. I think if market will grow up to end of the year, you can invest 1000$ and get good profit, but more profitable invest in ICO and if project develop your income will be much more
I would be very hesitant if you are thinking of investing in ICOs. Most tokens are selling below ICO price right now. Most projects fail miserably and never get listed on any exchange or they were scams from the start. Of course you can get the biggest gains from ICOs but it involves a heavy risk. You can take the safe route and go with btc or play the dangerous ICO game.

I like to think of generating bitcoins as problem solving because you are basically just solving complicated math problems. The term mining still sounds very odd to me since its a digital item and not physical.

Hah! Loving this betting pool. As soon as we send our BTC to hilarious I think the price will be at 5k USD or something. Then as the 2018/19 season ends it could trend up to 30k USD or so (maybe more?). This is why I have a love/hate relationship with bitcoin. I will always support bitcoin obviously but it can be quite annoying when you get paid in bitcoin and the price plummets %50. Of course the opposite can happen as well and it can rise %50. The price we pay for being early adopters I guess

I'm sure Satoshi expected bitcoin to reach a very high price. There's a reason we have so many decimal points. Who knows, in the future we could be talking in satoshis instead of dollars. Imagine one satoshi being one dollar We are still in the early stages in regards to mainstream adoption. there is still a ton of room for growth. Right now we are at a 250 billion marketcap which is very small compared to global currency supply

I'm fairly confident we will see a new all time high by the time Christmas comes. I know a lot of people are upset about current prices but we should be happy bitcoin has made it this far. When bitcoin was $1, I doubt anyone thought it would ever reach $1000.
Also if you look at the volume when the price was around the 20k range there wasn't many buyers and sellers at the peak.

Trying to time the bottom is foolish. Now all these people that were taking his advice of a $5,000 bitcoin will be waiting forever...
Never go all in, keep some of your funds in cash so you can buy any big dips. You really shouldn't worry about where you enter if you have the ability to cost average down if the price dips.

The amount of scam ICO's is staggering. At this point I've pretty much given up on new ICOs. I'm sure there will be a few good ones out there but having to deal with fake teams, unrealistic ideas, shady devs, it's too much stress at this point.
OP: A common complaint I've seen from bounty participants is that they never get paid or they receive an amount much smaller to the promised amount. This is quite commonplace at this point and I would be very selective when choosing a bounty to participate in.

These "analysts" are usually wrong. The crypto market is very unpredictable but my own personal opinion is that the bear trend is over and the bulls are about to come out in full force. If you hold long enough you will make a profit- This has always been true in the case of bitcoin and I don't see any reason to think otherwise.

I agree with your sentiment about this being the start of a new bull run. I've heard the mega fuders say that we will be in a bear market for 1-2 years similar to what happened after the Mt. Gox crash. This time is different. Crypto is much more established and widespread so that's why I believe this bear market is over. I feel sorry for the panic sellers who bought at the top and ended up selling. All they had to do was hld for the long term and bitcoin will eventually reach a new all time high.

does this have a risk level? if yes how many % risk we may face? you can give me pm related twitter account that I should follow. because I am interested in this
There is always a risk. I've seen so many "sure thing" bets end up losing. The truth is you never really know even if you have the inside track on some great information. Just use your knowledge the best you can and hopefully you will end with more wins than losses. I know its cliche but the bigger the risk the bigger the reward.

I find all these forked coins to be extremely annoying. There is only one bitcoin. All these forked coins do is take away from the original bitcoin. I'm sure people are loving the free money airdrops though.
Next on the list, bitcoin sapphire, bitcoin ruby, bitcoin emerald, and bitcoin granite!

Crypto can't replace fiat because it is leaps and bounds above fiat money. Fiat money has a centralized authority that can print more money digitally with a click of a button or physically. With true cryptocurrency like bitcoin everything is guided by math. We know the exact inflation rates, total supply, etc. I wouldn't take advice from the government as they stand to lose a lot from fiat money being overtake.

Hello, admins! Due to the reason that I haven't got an answer via e-mail, I have decided to write here. Please, explain why you have banned my account. I don't violate rules, don't abuse anyone. I express my opinion based on the news about the cryptomarket today. You have banned me immediately without warning first. Please, explain what I did wrong and how I can unban my account. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=226102 Most likely you will not receive a response from an admin regarding your ban. It's most likely due to spamming the boards. Be optimistic though, a Full Member account shouldn't be that difficult to achieve again.
