1541  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyone is hyping about bitcoin price in 2016 on: April 14, 2016, 11:18:31 AM
hype is what drives the price
get on board before hand and profit

It already might be too late. When all the hype turns to nothing, prepare for a lot of disappointed bagholders.
Nothing can kill a product like great expectations.
1542  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think is killing Bitcoin, if anything is? on: April 14, 2016, 11:16:41 AM
i don't think anything is killing bitcoin, because it looks strong to me and growing each day.

but i think there are a lot of things that are keeping bitcoin back from its real potential and becomming huge. things like the FUD that is being spread by the media, and a lot of stupid traders who are looking for a temporary dip or the altcoin pumpers like the ethereum supporters.

Traders are like that - looking to make money of temporary movements. It is good if they can profit while bitcoin's price is moving up as well as down. You need different kinds of people to make up the bitcoin ecosystem.
1543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: April 14, 2016, 11:09:01 AM
seems a lot of aggression between ETH speculators and bitcoiners on this forum

This is to be expected. Bitcoin is the reigning champion. Ethereum is the heavyweight challenger.
There can be only one title holder.
1544  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back to the 300s we go. on: April 14, 2016, 10:25:34 AM
LOL what I think is that we haven't and aren't going to say goodbye to the 400s.  We're totally stuck in a small trading range, and I'm very curious as to whether we're going to break out of it.

We seem to be trying hard to break out of it. The price is trading in a small range, but the range itself seems to be shifting upwards.
Till a few days back, $420 seemed to be a short-term upper bound. Now it has shifted to $425.
1545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: April 14, 2016, 10:03:22 AM
I personally have sold all holdings of ETH and continue to mine it. We saw so much action in a short amount of time with ETH and it is IMHO bound for a major correction down to a range that is still profitable for mining. I think it will drop to .009 to .016 in the midterm and stabilize somewhere in that range for a while. Long term I am bullish on ETH but don't share the sentiment that it is going to kill bitcoin. I simply believe that the growth potential in this sector has yet to be realized fully.

If in doubt, my advice (to be taken with a grain of salt) is to hold bitcoin and use bitcoin.

bitcoin is much less safer than other altcoins such as Etheruem or Monero. But the latter has more potential.

Potential for upside or downside? The volatility of some of these alts is scary.
Monero has taken a sharp dip lately (although it is up today) and there is no telling where it may go.
1546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 14, 2016, 09:59:53 AM
West Ham United  VS  Manchester United The second leg of the two teams in the first match the score 1-1 I can not predict who the winner of this match but to bet seems both teams to score is the right choice because both teams are equally strong EPL standings.
Crystal Palace  VS  Everton
For this match under 2.5 goals is my bet I'm not sure a lot of goals for both teams pretty strong defense

Crystal Palace and Everton are both similarly placed too, at 14th and 16th spot.
Two equally matched teams with good defence - I think your bet is on.

Yes it's one of the reasons I chose under 2.5 goals Everton especially with a strong defense some big teams in the EPL was not able to score many goals against Everton, last match Manchester United only scored 1 goal

Looks like you got your bet spot on, with a fair degree of safety.
A goalless draw is what it finally turned out to be.

1549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Pump & Dump Scam on: April 13, 2016, 03:33:03 PM
People will get burned so fucking hard from this. Now would be a good time to take profits from this altcoin pump! The chart is screaming for you to take profits guys!

I wrote this close to ATH. I hope people listened!  Undecided  Cry

Depends on when you got in.
If you got in when the price was $0.75, you really won't feel bad about not selling.  Smiley

The cost of my mining was about $0.5. I still think I should have sold when the price was $15. So it depends on individual.

That mining cost was 3 month ago's cost. Today's mining is much higher, probably it is $4 for most people.

Even so, it represents 50% profit for the miners at a selling price of $8.
These two have to converge quickly before people start buying. Right now, they can easily mine if they want to, instead of buying paying such a huge premium.
1550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts dropping is not the beginning of BTC bull market on: April 13, 2016, 03:28:58 PM
i don't know why people always try to attach every movement in the altcoin market to bitcoin's price. it is rarely relevant.

when the altcoin's price is going higher and higher we cans see countless topics saying bitcoin is dying so people are selling bitcoin to buy altcoin.

and now that those investors are dumping altcoin you say they are selling to sit on sidelines!!!

Most altcoins are traded on exchanges using bitcoins.
So a sell out of alts automatically means that at least some of those investors are holding bitcoins.
1551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ALL IN!!?? on: April 13, 2016, 03:26:32 PM
Ever go all in  Shocked  and have a positive result?
Yes i have tried to put all my money in one bet but NO that i haven't get positive result on it. After than i learn a very good lesson to never put bet which you can't afford to loss. This also should be applied in trading, always distribute your money in different assets or coins.

I agree - even in equity investing, the practice is to spread out investments to take the benefit of diversification.
You may not hit the jackpot with a large bet, but at least you wont get bankrupt.

1553  Economy / Speculation / Re: 10 BTC. Will I be a millionaire by 2030? on: April 13, 2016, 03:19:46 PM
That means that each bitcoin is worth $100,000. It can happen but I think that it would not happen. The chance is small that it would be that high. Let see and wait will will happen with in 5 years before we go to 2030.
But I think it will happen, yes , it will definitely happen, if not for a long time but it will happen at least for a spike or for some more time. 2030 is still more farther than us and I think that time is enough for it to reach that much amount.

By 2030, a few of us might be in our rocking chairs.
We would definitely want Bitcoin to skyrocket before that.
1554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: April 12, 2016, 01:39:56 AM
do you think eth is worth investing in now? There are just so many alt coins its confusing to see which one is one top.

ETH probably died when Poloniex lost monopoly so have fun with the Walking Dead

How can you call something with a $600+ Mn market cap dead?
Something which has 10% of Bitcoin's market cap is worth reckoning with.

1556  Economy / Speculation / Re: End of the 2016 - BTC Price Prediction on: April 11, 2016, 03:51:36 PM
You should probably add a poll on this question.
My pick would be $800. Yes, that is ~2x of today's price.
1557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ALL IN!!?? on: April 11, 2016, 03:49:41 PM
If you keep going all-in, one loss is enough to make you stop gambling.
All the victories achieved previously will come to naught.
1558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be considered as a Sickness!! on: April 11, 2016, 03:46:48 PM
Gambling is not that bad, we all must know that gambling is made for fun and that the most people like it to do we all see gambling as a game and that is quite logic.
The extra of gambling is that you can earn some money with it.

You can earn some money. You can also lose a lot of money.
The term "Gamble Responsibly" has come out because people tend to go all-in and lose it all.
1559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best funding model? on: April 11, 2016, 03:45:06 PM
ICO would be my choice.
Convincing people to invest money in a new coin is not easy, though. You will be successful if you have a really good idea.
