1561  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: April 23, 2023, 11:21:43 AM
Never heard it or the site.

My question is can it still be called gambling if it is not played with money?
Yes, remember you can bet things and win things, or anything that has value based on your point of view or current demand of the things you think has value. Sure it's not money but that could be converted to money once sold, or whatever you do to that.
1562  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buying anything from Japan with Bitcoin? on: April 22, 2023, 11:58:11 PM
It looks like a Japanese Aliexpress clone, that is not saying just the website design, but also the kind of products being offered for sale.
In fact they are accepting alipay payments as well.

I checked some action figures there since its one of my hobbies and known as japan is the main manufacturer of it and looks like they are more expensive than what is selling in my place, maybe of demand in their area vs here. But more cheaper shipping fee than what is sold in amiami website, where i purchase more often.

1563  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ok247trade.com scammers on: April 22, 2023, 11:22:01 PM
Where did you find this. What a good catch. Looks like another shitty people trying to make their luck scamming innocent newbies.

Another giveaway. Under "about Us"  they claim they are located in Germany.

but on the footer of the website, the information indicates that their address is in the UK
Yeah, whata shitty heads, rushed and grammatically wrong phrase is written all over the site.
1564  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Tornado cash still up and usable? on: April 22, 2023, 10:55:43 PM
There are news as well that only that american citizens cannot use the mixer but their site is not up.

That site posted was on their official twitter, but i cannot see any tweet related from them to that new site.

While on the other hand, one of the co-dev who create tornado cash is making a new one[1].

1565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you agree with ChatGPT on the club that might win the premier League? on: April 22, 2023, 03:49:13 PM
Asking an AI for future outcome of a sports not to mention a league with different teams is something like you should not trust. It sounds like bias to me while in the or i say, stupid idea, and should not be relied. While the AI gave information about teams and their achievements yet it doesnt help. So better to being updated on the league an come up a analytical decision for future bet.
1566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Geeky crypto thief, 32, jailed for hiding $3billion in Bitcoin in popcorn tin on: April 22, 2023, 03:13:33 PM
He does have an account here:

Loaded

What's funny is he used to pretend that he made all his Bitcoin from trading and running a trading fund for wealthy investors... Of course that was all a lie. Not that there wasn't some level of ingenuity involved in how he actually achieved his BTC wealth.

This thread is what made him famous, at least on the forum anyway. It wasn't too long after he posted this that people started figuring out where his BTC really came from.
Wow! So he really did. Btw how did you get his info, or knew that he own that account. Although it looks like it really is based on the thread linked but i'm not so sure.

Mixing alone wouldn't help him much if he was splashing money on expensive speedboats etc. Assuming he wasn't a high-earner himself, it was just a matter of time for him to get red-flagged..
It could but yeah, mixing alone wont help, besides that he is mentally ill and no family background of having rich family,so having such luxury life is really suspicious.
1567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Geeky crypto thief, 32, jailed for hiding $3billion in Bitcoin in popcorn tin on: April 21, 2023, 11:27:27 PM
Sending Bitcoin to Coinbase (a centralized exchange) from a wallet that holds about 50,000 bitcoins was so unwise of him, and there was not even a reasonable thing he was using the money for. Well, this should serve as a lesson for people who solely depend on trading their bitcoin on centralized exchanges.
More like for privacy—private way. The guy is not knowledgeable enough how bitcoin transaction works. Mixers do exists now and lots of them yet we see another guy caught because of sending tainted coins directly on CEX. Well, as he is mentally-illed so i understand.

Also, the guy got collectible coins, shout out for our physical bitcoin collectibles out there, i wonder if anyone made a transaction between him or he has an account here.
1568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will never own a whole Bitcoin and that's okay on: April 21, 2023, 11:02:34 PM
That's okay, everyone of us have each goal, sure money or getting rich is not the greatest goal of everyone. But you cannot get that greatest goal without spending a dime or being unfortunately poor, unless its not a money related goals which are rare nowadays.

And yea, you dont need to have a whole bitcoin since its value is increasing and increasing, well unless it drop to again to 2-3k but it means that most are in us loss too.
1569  Economy / Exchanges / Re: SEC wants to regulate DEXs on: April 21, 2023, 10:43:08 PM
They can only enforce it to the so called dex with CEO or with known team where they can send notice and regulatory requirements or sue them, then shut the site they are managing etc.
Unlike on those defi apps, dex as swaps that uses smart contracts, or unknown "DEX" team  since they dont know they are talking too, SEC only way is to shut the site or its message its server hosting site for termination, but that wont just like that since making websites up is just easy.
1570  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Lazerpay, a crypto and web3 payment gateway closing down on: April 21, 2023, 10:01:15 PM
I also think so, their concern may be related to the incident of several reputable p2p exchangers in years that were recently shut down.
I don't think so, their very reason is not about having regulatory problems since they are just payment gateways unlike the other p2p exchanges that shut recently. This is a common problem of startups not getting enough investors to continue their business
1571  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Possible kaya ang UITF investmet style sa Bitcoin at Altcoins on: April 20, 2023, 11:08:28 PM
You can do this on your own, DCA is the key.
Sobrang hirap magtiwala sa crypto world even if its from a good developer possible pa ren na malugi or mawala ang pinaghirapan mo dito. If you have the knowledge already in crypto, the. Why depend on someone diba? I mean just Buy Bitcoin and you can be good. Well, if mga fund managers ang bubuo ng company locally to handle crypto products, why not pero if not safe and secured, pass ako sa ganito.
Iba naman kase ang institutional or company based, at banks regarding sa kind of na mag iinvest for you like na described ng OP.
1572  Local / Pilipinas / Re: For how many years ngayon lang ulit nag balik sa bitcoin world on: April 20, 2023, 10:59:52 PM
Welcome back! Dami talaga opportunities way back 2017 not only dito sa forum sa ibang ways din (bounties and giveaways) since fist time ng ATH at napaka hype. Di tulad ngayon, di ko alam pero yan yung na fe-feel ko. Pero anyways, dami pa naman kaseng ways to earn so keep grinding lang Smiley
1573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: Is android laptop device good for installations? on: April 19, 2023, 11:29:52 PM
I cant understand the android laptop. But for installing core, nah, that 380GB space is not enough since blockchain size is already +400GB in size.

EDIT: Ah, so there is an Android OS for pc, i just heard that lol. Then for the other software you want to install i guess its fine as long there the minimum requirement of the app is good for your specs
1574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do women engage in crypto trading on: April 18, 2023, 11:51:12 PM
Lol there are many of them already, trading doesn't have gender classifications. There are many women in here too, but of course most are men.
But i still would be glad to see a statistics of genders participating in trading, either a day trading, market timer, technical trader etc. in any exchange if there is.
1575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do bitcoins on exchanges come from ? on: April 18, 2023, 11:28:47 PM
Just out of curiosity I know there are a lot of bitcoins on exchanges (Binance, Coinbase, Bitfinex and so on).
Where do they come from ?
Buying OTC from huge existing exchange and institutional investors, this is included the miners. No need to included criminals, they only have a mere of them.

How can I know if the bitcoin I buy on the exchange is "legit" or "dirty" ? Is it important ?
By the exchange definition, dirty bitcoins are only considered if it has from hacked funds especially from hacked exchange, or simply if the bitcoin coin from mixing, and in other case from gambling platforms.
1576  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Participating in Mixer Signature Campaign on: April 18, 2023, 11:20:07 PM
The mixing business is here to stay the authorities cannot make it disappear, there is a dark web where they can freely promote and on advertising here on Bitcointalk so much depends on when authorities start looking on platforms where they are being advertised, and how the forum admin accept these platforms to have a space here in Bitcointalk.
Chipmixer started it all and all the other mixing platforms existing now are just following the thread Chipmixer laid out.
Authorities only get interested to find out and targeting a mixer when there's an incident of hackers sending hacked funds to mix on any mixer platform to avoid getting detected. Say a hack happen on an exchange and the hacker reported to used that specific mixer. This happen to all those mixers who got shutdown. As long there's no analysis of mixirs getting used by hackers then i'd say they are say.
1577  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Lazerpay, a crypto and web3 payment gateway closing down on: April 18, 2023, 09:44:38 AM
So investors related problem again, looks like institutional investors are more wary investing their capitals to crypto-related companies, but it was last year though. Finding investors this date while crypto is in bullish form may sounds like assuring, but talking to terms-related issue is the most problematic one.

I checked their site, looks like they are just offering payment gateway. For a payment gateway only service offering is not new to investors, having more service/features is the one they are looking for (i guess), i'm comparing it to the crypto payment-gateway here in my country where they offer, paying bills (internet, electric, water),  as exchange too, sms prepaid loads, game credits, loans, tv vouchers, cards, so many more that's why they can get more investors when they are offering seed funding, sounds like everything lol.
1578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting vs fantasy sports on: April 17, 2023, 11:55:08 PM
Both are gambling, as long there is betting and some platform make it possible to bet. Yet, they are different. Although i dont have experience in fantasy one, but sports betting are more popular and looks like its are more accepted in most countries than the other traditional form of gambling either in physical or online casinos.
1579  Other / Meta / Re: Can a permanently banned account recieve a PM? on: April 17, 2023, 02:34:49 AM
What i know is, permanently banned and temporary ban accounts have the same restrictions, the difference is only the time. So yes, permanently/temp. banned account can still receive PM just like what i saw on some users. Like some campaign managers before who were temp. banned, receiving PM on forum then reply on telegram for some instructions passed to responsible users s/he wants to post in behalf of him/er
1580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take Part in Gambling Lotteries ? on: April 16, 2023, 10:55:39 PM
What if, I get a chance to participate in a lottery without any investment?
If any gambling site offers, free of cost entry in the lottery, i would definitely not miss that one. Smiley
For a giveaway, yes, but don't expect its common coz its not. Check games and rounds boards for that. About free lottery in gambling casino? It's not common that you can entry without betting money, maybe a they give you a bonus but you need to deposit first so its not free.
