1581  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Keep your money off exchange, in this crisis moments hold Bitcoin for safety on: December 17, 2022, 10:47:23 PM
Well it’s surprising to me that some people still actually leave their Crypto-coin on exchanges regardless of the exchange being decentralized or centralized.

There is nothing surprising about that. If people didn't really have their crypto coins on exchanges, there would be no order books, and there would be no market for them. Exchanges will never be completely safe, and there will never be a solution which is 100% guaranteed. But for the exchanges to work, and for people to be able to trade their coins, you need to have people who are willing to leave their coins on exchanges.

Probably, the best solution here is not to put all your coins in an exchange. Those coins who are intended to trade only might be place in a reputable exchange, but those who are good for long term hodling, they should stay in our own hardware wallet. That way, we are lessening the risk having to put our coins in an exchange, as we can’t also avoid them completely unless we don’t have plans to trade them.
1582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first attempt to play gambling on: December 17, 2022, 09:58:24 PM
I think we always bet, and it's not always money, but that's the way it starts, in my case Casino bets came with the Poker Casinos, there I discovered that the poker-bet relationship made sense for me.

I did not bet on anything else, only poker, with the arrival of crypto casinos I got involved with other types of bets, mainly PF.

OP:... I think the important thing is not how you started betting, it's how you end up.

True. Because I guess everyone here started gambling with common dilemma, that is finding difficulty in choosing from two or more alternatives which made us literally confused. Well, everyone’s been there, but what is more important is today, how we survived from that and made us good and effective gamblers. I can say that I have been losing from gambling when I was starting, but now I know where to mostly bet that will suit me and which will give possible high returns.
1583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your mood cant chage a game results on: December 17, 2022, 09:29:51 PM
I see ital the time around me.  Repsonses like judt be positive and barcelona will win
Dont be negative so canelo win

Think about it if your thought has some  ability to change external things then peope will crash in a plane every day due to many people  with panic attacks who are 100% sure that the plane is going to crash.

People think they have power over the world with their thoughts changw things
If there are chances that every bet result can be controlled by your own mood, then I guess there will be no single result as each bettor has different moods when gambling. But that is not the way in gambling, every bet result has its good and reliable basis. And not just because someone’s mood has predicted it. However, maybe this has been the belief way back with our ancestors days, but now it’s very much different. Every result comes from a valid basis, and that should never change.
1584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which has better odds, lottery, online gambling, or sports betting? on: December 17, 2022, 08:58:52 PM
When you have a interest and knowledge in the sports like football, volleyball, cricket. It’s enough to participate in all the sports bet involved in the gambling sites. Many gambling sites provides you more and more based on football, volleyball and cricket. So it’s essential to know more about the sports to get into the sports bet and rest doesn’t depend on such condition.
Yes, it’s like it’s an edge for a gambler to go on sportsbetting when he has high interest on it and he has already good background on different games that are played in sportsbetting. Otherwise, if he bet on sportsbetting randomly, he will gain more possible losses than profits. But with lottery and online gambling, as long as you got the chance and luck, then you’ll be fine at it, even with no skills involved.
1585  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: December 16, 2022, 10:51:19 PM
Is this possible based on where you live ?
Yes, very possible.

High salary also costs you high expenses because of the cost of living in the place where you're designated. But if you're disciplined enough and you've got goals, you can do this.

With breaking down of your expenses and savings, you'll be able to track the most important expenditures and you'll be able to unwanted expenses.
Saving a portion out of your monthly income is always possible, but if you live in luxury and spends more than your monthly income, then its clear enough that you won't have any budget left for savings. Although the term SAVE sounds easy to do, but its actually hard for most of us considering we are living in this current high inflation. But if you instill discipline in yourself and yes, set a target goal, you will always find ways to save.
1586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Go-to casino on: December 16, 2022, 10:24:09 PM
Basically I don't have any casino held at heart, once you're good and fair with your services, then we're good to go.
There are qualities I look at for in a casino before trying to make a deposit on them and those qualities include
• minimum deposit and withdrawal
• users reviews on the site
• years of service
• licensing etc.
Though I love to try new casinos regularly maybe because I want some nice Bonuses but I'm always conscious of myself when trying out this new casinos.
I just love dog race for virtuals and soccer bettings .
I think as gamblers, we all have certain casinos that we usually see as good to go since we have already proven their reputation and worth throughout the years. Although there's still an urge to visit and play with newly-opened casinos but thinking that our deposits might not get its worth, then its best to just keep coming back and play with our trusted casinos.
1587  Economy / Economics / Re: Forget a return to office: We’re living in the age of side hustles on: December 16, 2022, 09:55:36 PM
Definitely we are living in the era of side hustles. With all the reasons plotted above there are also valid reasons like need of “multiple income” sources considering increased cost of living while less salary hikes for the fixed salary jobs.

There is even craze of doing “moonlight works” everywhere. By definition it means one person joining 2 or more than 2 companies at the same time to earn more money. This tells us the story that living has become very hard. If you don’t have bank accounts full of cash then you have to keep struggling with side hustles and moon Light work.
I would say that having a huge bankroll in your savings account really matters these days as we are battling with the consistent price increase with our basic goods and services. And by sticking to your own job might not be the smartest thing to do but to explore outside and go out from your comfort zone. And with generations Z that are following high technology trend, the demands right now are clearly seen high in online jobs or online investments.
1588  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My concern of security when using casino houses. on: December 16, 2022, 09:34:09 PM
Anywhere people see you handling money there is a certain risk, although I have never heard stories of robberies where I live. The normal thing is to take certain precautions if you earn a good amount of money, such as taking a cab home.

Sometimes it's in the person on why they are targeted by people with bad intentions. Keeping a low profile really helps, especially if you are a gambler that rolls a huge sum every now and then.

And not only in casinos, acting on a day to day basis showing that you have a lot of money can be dangerous because it puts you in the spot of many criminals.
The moment you show them bad intentions, everything will turn out bad as long as money is involved. Especially for known gamblers, they will always be the target of criminals since they always bring along money to gamble. That is why security should always be tight, not only inside casinos but also even outside casinos because its where most of the criminals are waiting for some victims.
1589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 99% of People Will Lose Crypto in Self Custody on: December 16, 2022, 08:18:43 PM
I won't say I disagree with his point because he makes an important point in this case. What is the point of storing your funds in a self-custody wallet when the coin is vulnerable to attack and lost by the owner? People have lost their savings in their personal wallet due to illiteracy and lack of sufficient knowledge about self-custodian wallets. A campaign for it is necessary which in my opinion will reduce the effect of it happening. Also, me seeing this as a favorable speech for people to save their money in his Binance exchange wallet.
There’s no use actually having a self-custody wallet when the owner itself is illiterate and still has no knowledge how to safeguard his own coins. And if he’s not ready to entrust his coins to a centralized exchange, it’s better to keep him gain knowledge and develop learnings  so he can be aware on how to make his coins not accessible for hackers. Although for some reasons like senior citizens hodlers, better to adopt a custodial wallet and entrust them with his hodlings.
1590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is There Any Crypto Casino With An In-built Mini Crypto Exchange? on: December 15, 2022, 10:59:22 PM
But this could make their platform complicate things if they include this one? I think it's not worth for them if they are going to include as it might add another overhead cost for them.

Majority of them have like the features wherein you can "exchange" it to dollar value when you play like slot so you can see how much money you still have when playing and then immediately convert it back when the value loses. So when at the start you have x amount of BTC, then obviously if you losses some on the dollar value then the value of BTC also goes down for you.
I believe everything that is new in our eyes create a sense of confusion, and might complicate things around as you’ve said. Yes, it will increase their expenses but if that will make the players stay on them, I guess it deserves to be tried. However, if the casino has other plans other than that, then it’s best for the casino to stay in focus on improving its casino’s services than to venture into something new that might be not of their willingness or availability of funds.
1591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What New And Other Casinos Should Do To Get To The Top And Edge Top Casinos on: December 15, 2022, 09:54:44 PM
actually they need to recruit marketing experts to make their casino known to many people and catch some new gamblers every day, sometimes it takes big money to be famous but it can't be done for new casinos because of course they may not have a lot of money in promotions as well as carry out their marketing

to be honest it all comes down to big capital that can make a casino big, because if there is big money casino owners can recruit famous people to promote their casino to get new gamblers from their followers and also the importance of making a signature campaign on this forum if the casino supports crypto payments
This marketing strategy is good but I don’t see it will be working for long. The casino itself should also do their own part like giving excellent services to their players, providing their players with various games that are in technology trend, and of course providing full security assurance to their players, as well as helping them resolving their problems encountered when it comes to gambling.
1592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tipping during live slot, or casino games. on: December 14, 2022, 09:59:00 PM

How much do you tip a slot machine attendant?
For those who visit and still enjoy the services of these live casino operators, am curious as to know how you tip the attenders. Do you tip only when you are winning and how much is too much tip to give? Also, I do not think online casinos even have this option, but if there is, can you share?

In most parts of US, any payout of more than $1,200 is paid in person by the slot floor person. The tipping here starts with a minimum amount of $20 and can be up between 3-10 percent of the jackpot reward. It however, depends on the discretion of the customer.

Do you think it is necessary to give tips or it is just a tradition that is required?

It’s more likely our choice to give some tips, and not the other way around. But for those who are not able to give some tips, I guess it’s not an issue as giving tips is not required anyway even if we see it as an old tradition. But for most of the gamblers I know, they all give any amount of tips. And for me that’s a great feeling as the one who gives compared to the one who always asks lol.
1593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gambling today and lesson i learnt (lost 2000 usd today) on: December 12, 2022, 08:38:12 PM
I had some major losses months ago and decided to quit gambling. I could continue betting, coming back with a larger bankroll to recover losses with fast and few bets like OP is doing and displaying with his currently statistics, but I prefered to not risk anymore. Good for him that he is making awesome progress so far, however, we know it's not possible to maintain results sustainable on long run. Inevitably it becomes a snowball of unrecoverable losses after a while.
It’s not just losses but even if you are making significant profits in gambling, it’s still best to not see it as a sustainable source of profits or income. Learn to quit from it eventually. And just like OP, after you make money, then leave. While others bet more to win more, but that’s become unrealistic when it comes to gambling. Because I believe to gamble is to lose, and the more you bet, the more chances of losing your money at the end of the day.
Yes. We will see ourselves losing in the end if we always gamble for profits. As gambling is made to entertain us, but we don’t see it that way. Instead, we gamble for more money and hoping it could make us consistently profitable and end up with a bigger bankroll. But we all know that the house keep us watching, and they make sure that house will always win. So let’s just be realistic, if you are not a productive gambler anymore, then quit. That’s the best way to get rid of your future losses.
1594  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My thoughts and now my experience. on: December 12, 2022, 07:45:25 PM
Quote
Diversity without research behind it is silly. I thought that when you diversify you can make a mistake, how wrong I was. You should always diversify using research and don't rush to buy.

I think that until now there are still many people who do not apply it to be honest. This often happens to newbies entering this industry. Because the only thing on their mind is to make money, although I don't include all newbies in the crypto space.

But if research is done first before investing in something with the right method, surely no one will go home a loser in whatever cryptocurrency they buy, this is just my opinion. Which I think is correct.
That is why DYOR is very much important not only in cryptocurrency investment but certainly in all aspects of our lives. Learning to diversify is a smart way, but I don’t think we should jump to that when in the first place we are not profiting yet. So the first focus is still to gain knowledge and invest in a prominent coin like bitcoin. When we are making profits already, that’s the perfect time to diversify. And when we say diversify, we should not limit only to crypto, but we should take considerations too investing in stocks, real estate, or even in gold. That way, we will gain additional profits from different type of investments.
1595  Economy / Gambling / Re: A way to attract new users or a misunderstanding? on: December 12, 2022, 07:24:46 PM
Some casinos will do everything just to attract players despite their deceiving advertisements. I've come across a casino claiming to be web 3.0 but to my surprise after wagering and upon withdrawal, they asked me to submit the KYC requirements which made me lose interest in that casino. I guess that's just their marketing strategy since they all know that most players prefer casinos that won't ask for KYC.

First of all, if a casino is web 3, does it means that it will not ask for KYC  Huh
Anyways i do agree that some casino just uses the hype of the latest technologies and try to gain customers which is very wrong in my opinion. Advertising is the right of casinos but false advertising is something that should be avoided. If any casino is found doing false advertisements, they may gain some gamblers for the time being but later the truth will be revealed, and gamblers will never trust that site.

A casino should focus on the true facts and not make false ads only to gain new users. If gambling sites do like that, people will talk bad about those sites and soon no one will play there.
Most likely when we hear web3 casinos, for me it sounds like a new era of gambling, until we start to experience that certain casinos and end up being disappointed. It’s still the same with the usuals casinos asking for KYC, nothing is really new. I guess the term web3 is just put and being associated in the names of the casinos just to attract new users and become tempted to play. Yes, this is more of a false advertisement which I think any casino that is doing that should be given a red flag and negative feedback so they can also learn their lesson.
1596  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was Bitcoin project a failure after all ? on: December 12, 2022, 06:59:23 PM
It has been 12 years since Satoshi disappeared on December 12, 2010.
Now, it seems to have become something quite different from what he originally set out to do, doesn't it ?
I want to hear "How did you see the development of Bitcoin at that time ?
And how do you all feel about the current situation, which is far from the "pure" world that he aimed for ?"

I don’t see it as a failure project. In fact, the government is triggered by its own existence so it only means that bitcoin is now close to its goal as being legally accepted nationwide. Seeing bitcoin as an investment, it’s starting to be a trend these days since people find more profits in bitcoin compared to fiat. And as a mode of payment, I know bigger countries are now eyeing at it to be accepted as a legal currency, although I still don’t see it becoming a legal tender these days except for El Salvador.
1597  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How bitcoin has improved my life on: December 11, 2022, 10:27:28 PM
In the middle of 2015, I first learned about bitcoin. My first thought was basically, "It's a fraud!" and I ignores it. I clearly recall thinking that cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) was a Ponzi scheme in 2015 when a buddy first introduced it to me. So, one day when I was browsing YouTube, I came across a video that was clearly explaining the idea of Bitcoin and the Blockchain network. Wow, this is wonderful, I thought. I went online to obtain more resources to help me since I was intrigued and found the use of Bitcoin to be increasingly fascinating. Now that I know more about how it operates, I'm thinking about investing in it. I ponder getting a loan from the bank even though I don't have enough cash on hand, but I later decide that's not the wisest course of action, due to the danger involved in an uncertain situation. I went and told my uncle about Bitcoin. I informed him that this was a new method of generating income. He was first reluctant to invest in it, but I persisted and even made a pledge to accept responsibility for whatever transpired. Life is all about taking risks, he added, so I wasn't worried about losing it all. I simply wanted to give it a shot. He offered me a sizable sum of money to put in Bitcoin while the price was low, but when it skyrocketed, I thought about selling it out so we could profit greatly from it. I've been a millionaire since 2015, and my uncle is too.
Wow! You both have been very lucky with bitcoin. I just thought that i could have been in the same foot if I never doubted bitcoin way back then. But I was too skeptical that time that I put my money in other business but it turned out not good. So now, I don’t want to waste my money anymore on other businesses and just focus on bitcoin by accumulating more. I know I could still make it but definitely, this might be a long way to go, lot of losses first before I will step in the same foot with you.
1598  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and investing, and still very broke.why? Is it spiritual? on: December 11, 2022, 09:59:27 PM
I sit-down to wonder why traders who are consistent in trading and also investing still remain very broke despite the effort they put to erradicating poverty, but it still seems like there is some sort of unforseen and spiritual forces controlling the physical.Or should it be foundational curse from the forefathers affecting the present circumstances?or is it that the poverty is inherited? Or is it a gene or chromosome?.These are questions that that I tend to ask.
Not certainly on spiritual aspects but more on physical, mental and emotional state of the investor or trader. If he starts investing without getting ready these physical, mental and emotional aspects, he will still be unsuccessful in all his attempts. He should invest or trade not because of his greed on money, but he should invest because that’s what his passion is telling him so. He should trade because he knows he is already prepared in combatting the risks that trading has.
1599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I became Independent Because of Cryptocurrency on: December 11, 2022, 09:41:25 PM
I know this is just silly story but I want to tell you that my bitcoin journey is not fascinating but here I want to tell.
In 2017 I started Bitcoin trading and also got skeptical in crypto. I lost too much much money but I got resilient. Cause I know that their is a future for me in this.
After late 2019 beacsue I took admission in university and now I am  independent and I do not need Money from my parents and that's good for me. I started making Money from crypto. I am And that was joy for me. Now I am making 100 dollars plus form crypto. That is enough for me.

Congratulations. That is something that you deserved because you didn’t care of quitting when crypto was very rude to you, something that you should be compensated because of your patience and resilience. However, I do believe that there is more ahead of you if you keep your faith in bitcoin and continue to focus on your crypto journey. Although you have to study first because that should be your top priority, but never let go of your crypto journey too because you are in the verge of profiting.
1600  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter Crypto head and staff resigns on: December 11, 2022, 09:20:24 PM
not sure how this news going to affect crypto. even the doge fans are not even aware there is a Twitter crypto team.

elon will not care either if they all resign, he may be happy for what is going to happen. once BTC and whichever coins he'd fused to twitter, there will be lesser people to pay. he wants to automate things and will just run a program to operate.
Probably, these people resigned because of Elon, his new set of rules might be against the will of these people that’s why everyone had no choice but to leave the company. But we also know that Elon won’t be triggered by this, he could even bring his own people to work for the company and let those old staffs disappear. And of course, having few staffs to pay will give advantage to Elon and that will make him dominates in his new owned company.
