Don't encourage them  Grin. If there's one thing we don't need it's more coins.

Edward Snowden nominated for Nobel peace prize

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jan/29/edward-snowden-nominated-nobel-peace-prize

<< Two Norwegian politicians say NSA whistleblower's actions have led to a 'more stable and peaceful world order'. >>

How, by leaking information that can get overseas spies arrested and possibly executed? What a joke...

Isn't spying against the laws of the country they're spying on? And did he actually leak info on spies? Pretty sure he didn't.
15803  Other / Meta / Re: big problem posting on: January 30, 2014, 10:44:12 AM
i haven't posted or try to post since 10 day, every time i try to post i have the message
The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago. Please try again later.
or it say
You already submitted this post! You might have accidently double clicked, or tried to refresh.
then i go in my profile to check if the number of post have moved but nope
I have to retry like 4-5 times (at 360+second)to be able to get my post to work
im 100% sure no one is using my ip
i also have the same problem when trying to search for the first time, it say
You are searching too quickly. Wait 90 seconds.
but its my first search of the day, even of the month maybe
These restrictions get lifted once you graduate from newbie, IIRC.

Nah, but the time limit goes down the more activity you get. Mine is about 28 seconds now I think.

CryptoSiD, just make sure you wait the full six minutes after logging in before you try post. Attempted posts will reset the time.
15804  Economy / Services / Re: Make Easy Btc By Selling Me Member Activity OR Junior Member (32+) Accounts on: January 30, 2014, 10:38:28 AM

At least he can use his spare accounts now.
15805  Other / Meta / Re: Questions on Bans on: January 30, 2014, 10:34:44 AM
The username is 'mondy' and the ban message is as follows:

I've sent an email yet there has been no response.

Regards

At least you can now put one of those accounts you bought to good use.

Hey would you be interested?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=433869.0

Thanks

You were sending unsolicited pms, advertising your buying accounts. Won't be unbanned.
Zing!

15806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][MAX] MaxCoin on: January 30, 2014, 12:15:52 AM

He's going to become a cryptotoll.

Wtf is a cryptotoll, when it's at home?  Huh Huh

a cryptotroll* haha. I'm tired.
15807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could Dogecoin Hit $2 ? on: January 30, 2014, 12:02:45 AM
what's the problem of any other currency having a market cap bigger than bitcoin? I know that bitcoin is the main currency NOW, but we can have others becoming more popular and taking the lead and I think doge could be one candidate.

It matters when there's billions of coins. Doge is not going to take any lead.
15808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][MAX] MaxCoin on: January 30, 2014, 12:00:06 AM
As much BTC as Max has, why would he give a fuck to spend all this time just to get some meager pump and dump returns?  There are plenty of other chances to just fuel a coin of his choosing, meow, without wasting his own VC and time.  Max is a little more intelligent than Fontas, If he's going to fuck us over its going to be something more clever than another moon coin.  Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater yet.

What time does he have to spend? All he has to do is mention in in his vids or make a few tweets. He's just enjoying the attention. He's going to become a cryptotroll.
15809  Economy / Goods / Re: PLAYSTATION 4 PS4 CONSOLE ONLY 0.33 BTC - ESCROW ACCEPTED !!! on: January 29, 2014, 11:58:38 PM
Only problem is I don't have ICQ.... people still use that?

Scammers do by the looks of things  Grin.
15810  Economy / Goods / Re: PLAYSTATION 4 PS4 CONSOLE ONLY 0.33 BTC - ESCROW ACCEPTED !!! on: January 29, 2014, 11:47:42 PM
Can someone in the know tell me if this is too good to be true? I'm kinda interested as it costs almost $700 where I'm from but this sounds a bit too cheap.. Also how would escrow work? BTC released once I get the unit?

I'd say by looking at all the evidence or lack thereof, yes, it's too good to be true. The seller is probably hoping people wont use an escrow or may suggest using a non-trusted one.

More Major Retailers Are Getting Ready to Accept Bitcoin

http://mobile.reuters.com/article/idUS48480526120140129?irpc=932

"Only the beginning"?  I would have loved to have some names dropped.  Wink  I guess we will have to be patient and see what major retailers are on the brink.

This is only speculation and wishful thinking so there are no names to be dropped. Shame. I got a bit excited by the headline.

15812  Economy / Services / Re: Earn up to 0.8BTC/month just by posting! - Advertise for PrimeDice.com! *Updated on: January 29, 2014, 11:11:42 PM
Can anyone say how much you have made with this?

Lot's of people have earned the previous top amount of 0.4BTC. Check Stunna's feedback. You get 0.0002 per constructive post.
15813  Other / Off-topic / Re: What if.... Satoshi Nakamoto on: January 29, 2014, 10:56:30 PM
What if... the reason why we don't hear from Satoshi Nakamoto anymore... is because he's dead? And he never got the chance to reveal himself. O_O

I suddenly feel very saddened.

This is quite a possible proposal.
15814  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Justice? on: January 29, 2014, 10:34:49 PM
Double standards at its worse - unfortunately there is nothing that can be done  Angry

Stop using the banks and their money and stop paying the corrupt governments and so called justice system which doesn't even uphold justice.

If only it were so simple  Wink

Seems pretty simple to me. Unfortunately most people are also pretty simple  Grin.

Perhaps, but I don't think we are quite at the stage when we can stop using fiat money quite yet. And tax, unfortunately is not optional  Sad

Tax is always optional. They can't throw us all in jail, nor would there be anybody to throw us in jail if we stopped paying their wages.

Lol you do have a point. While taxes are important, they are massively abused in many countries. If millions of people actively decided to not pay their taxes (self assessment), and held off through the fines then it would cause havoc.

I don't know if that would be wise, but theoretically it would prove a point lol.

There's gonna have to be a little anarchy and discomfort if you want revolution. Most people don't though so they're happy to continue living their comfortable lives as long as they can do so without anyone bothering them too much.

I think I read that HSBC also has millions invested in arms manufacturers.

They do, and loan billions to the industry. Barclays has billions in shares in arms dealers etc.

I think I read that HSBC also has millions invested in arms manufacturers.

Yeah, I read that too. Wouldn't be surprised, arms tech is big money, you know, destroying peoples' homes and families and shit.

Ah things were much nicer when I was a child (not THAT long ago), completely oblivious to the fucked up world that we live in.

Well they do say ignorance is bliss.
15815  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Edward Snowden nominated for Nobel peace prize on: January 29, 2014, 10:27:31 PM
This is what will happen to him if wins and try to get the Nobel prize money..

Haha. They should pay him in Bitcoins.

Edward Snowden nominated for Nobel peace prize

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jan/29/edward-snowden-nominated-nobel-peace-prize

<< Two Norwegian politicians say NSA whistleblower's actions have led to a 'more stable and peaceful world order'. >>

This is great news. Hope he wins. He deserves it.

Is it? It means nothing. They gave this award to Barack Obama a few years ago. It's a joke.

15817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Users Can Face Jail Time up to 15 years on: January 29, 2014, 09:52:54 PM
If I hold 1 BTC in my wallet, I can go to prison? I don't think so.
With that attitude, Russia will just stay behind everyone.

It seemingly is behind everyone with their homophobic laws and anti-gay stance. Pathetic behaviour.

What does anti-gay stance have to do with accepting or not btc?

It has to do with Russia being behind everything else and stifling things they have no business repressing.

Create an alt called GayCoin and then you can go to jail twice.

In soviet Russia gaycoin owns you  Grin.

I withdraw IFC 7 hours ago from cryptsy. Still not appearing on my wallet. How long it will take?
I think the end of 2014 is probably when you will receive your withdrawal from cryptsy also

Hahaha.

I heard that this coin will be fully mined soon. Is that true?

Yes. It means it will be more rare.

Or it could mean the opposite when all the miners abandon it. It will be interesting to see what happens.
No this has been addressed by the lead and Dev a small fee will be added for transactions to ensure maintaining the blockchain! They also have some exciting new improvements to the checkpointing and another surprise the Dev team have but are keeping tight lipped about!

But there probably wont be a great enough reward for them to stick around, nor will there probably be many people making transactions with this coin.

4 hours of spent time on the forum and at least 1 post made..

Or your activity needs to become greater then 0, not sure o.O

Nah, the membergroups changed recently. You need 30 activity now so that's pretty much a month to achieve that. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0
