1601  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2023, Bullish or Bearish? on: February 24, 2023, 09:18:24 AM
you said it will be bear , but week after your post here? bitcoin price reacted to 24k and near 25k lol.
and also I may not believe that there will be ATH but I think we can call this as Bull market shorter than 2021.
There is definitely a lot of people who always think that bitcoin will be a bear market. It's either not really knowing much about the markets and the history of bitcoin which is why they are this wrong, or it is about the fact that they do not really know what bear or bull means and they just think we are in the bear market even right now just because price is low, when in fact bear market just means crashing and we haven't been crashing for a while.

We are already not in bear, and we are getting into the bull as well and that should be the key lesson to people who still think that we are doing terribly, we are not, it doesn't have to recover it all, just a bit up means it's all good.
A bear market doesn't mean there isn't an upside in bitcoin it's just that the price action is sad to watch, days may turn red in a market moving at stagnate prices and below the long-term average price meanwhile and fairly low capitalization.
bull and bear is just a naming term and everyone can have an opinion and express it regarding the wrong or right prediction, that is a natural thing because until today no one can predict the market correctly.

Maybe in 2023 we will slowly crawl for price improvement and return to the next bull run phase.

The next bull run phase should happen right after the block halving, and so this year, unlikely to see the price going to be very positive although there could be some bullish run just like last month wherein we bounce to a 40% increased.

So the best approach is to just be calm I guess and maybe buy bitcoin as we go this bear market.

Remember as I have said, bull run is right after the block halving, so it's better to save now than later.

^^ Thanks for the indepth research mate, I haven't heard this project before.

Although this is what I found out:

Not sure if we have to take this as negative news. But if the project looks promising, then just like any other coins, it might be a good hold and see how far it can go till the next bull run.
1603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: February 24, 2023, 08:37:59 AM
The promotion I think wanted to see him up there in the ring and defend the title while the best in this division but it's still risky when he is challenged by a younger contender. This match makes sports betting more like guessing.

The fact that Donaire is still on the top ranking even at his current age, that's the reason why he is still getting good opportunities like this.

Regardless if the promoters wanted to see him in the ring or not, he is really bound to have a mandatory fight.

He's not being challenged though by young boxers but just doing the task he was assigned for.

Correct, he was able to still maintain hist status because of the high level of fights he got and the results, all of them are either TKO/KO except Inoue. So then the promoters likes Donaire for being that, representing their organization as a  champion and that's why he is given another chance again for the WBC bantamweight.

And Donaire is not taking this fight lightly maybe just because the boxer that he is going to face is way below in the top 5 of the ranking. He is still going to be a threat to matter what but Donaire will be ready.
1604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 24, 2023, 08:24:04 AM
Yes, but we haven't seen his chin tested early though, it was just Donaire who really broke the barriers literally when he fought Inoue the first time. He broke his orbital bone on that fight, but still Inoue tapping on his mentality to even become stronger in the later rounds even if he has suffered that.

Yup, that was one hell of a punch that Inoue took and yet he survived that one. If only it was not Inoue on the receiver's end of that hook, that fight is over. I agree that Inoue got a granite chin that he couldn't be knockout with a single punch, should be volume if you wanna knock out this monster which is a very tough hill to climb because opponents have to take some punches also before they can hit him hehe.

The only question I have here is if Inoue is capable of bringing his power to the heavier division, this is an acid test for him, and his lucky because passing this test also means winning a title at 122lbs, his first one.

Good question, but if he is weight drain at 118 but still has the punching power to beat everyone, what else if he is fully hydrated at 122 lbs and not going to drain himself up?

I guess the answer is that he is more powerful at 122 lbs than 118 lbs in my opinion.

This could be his natural weight for all we know, again no need to diet and not to eat calories because of the weight limit. Now he can eat everything he want without bothering himself and watching what food to eat and what's not.
1605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is easier to make bets on? on: February 24, 2023, 02:56:47 AM
Do sport like football betting and MMA betting carries the same risks or one is more profitable to bet on than the other? Which one is more likely to easily predict than the other? Also, I need a platform where football prediction is certain, is there any of you guys using any reliable platform?

Well it's already different in the first place, the other one is team sports, while mma is obviously single individual.

So it really depends though and for me the same risk although I point out one main difference. So it's up to how you analyze  the game itself, which is the favorite and which is the underdog.

What are the chance of the underdog to pull an upset if you are looking to win big? Reliable platform to beat? Sportbet and Stake are the two leading crypto sports bookies as far as I know.
1606  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin go back to 19000 on: February 23, 2023, 11:12:15 AM
Price range below $25k may be relatively low price to increase bitcoin investment, so it's never too late even though bitcoin price has increased but price is still too low of $40k-$50k to probably reach in future, high price recovery signifies price bitcoin is going higher this whole year, i hope you don't miss the moment.
I also think that the price range of $ 40K in this year is still very logical for Bitcoin to reach even though now the price is still under $ 25K. But with this time of year remaining and more than ten months, there will certainly be enough for Bitcoin to reach a price of $40K even though there will be another price correction later this year. Because a correction is always a natural thing to happen before a bigger increase occurs in Bitcoin in the market.

Yeah, there are even predictions as high as $50,000 this year and it still makes sense. But to achieved it, there could be swing in prices first, getting to $35k then maybe a dip below and then shoot up.

So more likely the chances are high for Bitcoin to reach $30,000 or higher this year as compare to $20,000 or below.

Let's see, the month is about to end in a week and we could be in the $24,500 price range.
1607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paxos to stop minting BUSD on: February 23, 2023, 10:47:35 AM
GM crypto fam.

So, the NY Department of Financial Services has ordered Paxos to stop minting BUSD effectifly as of yesterday (Feb. 21st).

How big of an impact is the government's crackdown on crypto going to have on the crypto market's growth in the US?

This is no hype, if NY Department of Financial Services can ordered and be authoritative, then sooner or later other state regulatory body might follow suit as well.

But not sure if we can call it a crypto crackdown, maybe they just find something is not right on Paxos and BUSD that's they stop it. I haven't follow the news so not sure if Paxos will have to fight his case or just comply with the law.

So for me there is no effect on us and this is not a crackdown.
1608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: February 23, 2023, 10:28:43 AM
^^ No surprised with that huge odds stack up against the Japanese boxer. He is not well known in the US boxing scene as he just campaign in Japan. Although he has belt to boot, it has nothing as the big competition are in the US.

But who knows what he can do and pull the biggest upset win?

As for Shakur, he should not take his Japanese opponent lightly, still needs to train 100% in this fight and look for the biggest fish later.
1609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casinos and Tech Devices on: February 23, 2023, 09:46:30 AM
Yes, apps has also evolved and so is the casino themselves. They have to developed more friendly apps that suited their customers that wants to play more on their mobile phone. Personally though, I still used desktop for viewing pleasure to play my favorite slots.

I don't think that a mobile can beat our experience playing using our desktop or laptop.

Might be better if we have the votes though? so we can see the preference of the community?
1610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: February 23, 2023, 05:41:34 AM
Lomachenko is very good and even looked invincible but that was during his prime. He is now in his mid 30s and physically he won't be the same anymore. If he wins over Haney, it means even his old version is still good enough to win just like what old Pacman, Donaire, GGG and Beterbiev are doing.

I'm amazed as to how Top Rank inspite Bob Arum getting old and not the same promoter as before and the recent lost of Crawford, it continues to have the best fighters. Shakur Stevenson with or without Loma and Haney will surely get his title fight this year. I believe Haney is moving up if he wins.

Yeah, and Bob says that he Shakur is scheduled to fight the winner of this fight. Bob still attracts good boxers though, and those that don't want the control of Al Haymon and Oscar Dela Hoya. But there are boxers that also wanted to separate from him like Crawford, and like the more touted Edgar Berlanga

https://www.badlefthook.com/2023/1/18/23561168/edgar-berlanga-top-rank-part-ways-promotional-free-agent-boxing-news-2023

So let's see who's going to win in this fight because he still has his hands full in his next fight against Shakur.
1611  Economy / Speculation / Re: What comes next for Bitcoin: $20K or $30K? on: February 22, 2023, 08:42:56 AM
I iam hoping for 20k as i think we need way more time to accumulate if we really want to moon, and if we hit 30k well get past it imho. And as we this is most likely going to be a bouncy launch anyway and i would rather see that volatility happening near 20k then in 50k as dropping from higher would be horrific for some alts

There will not be many people who want Bitcoin to drop below $ 20,000, maybe because they have bought at a higher price or they have accumulated enough Bitcoin they need. But I still really expect Bitcoin to decrease, just like you, I still want to accumulate Bitcoin at a cheaper price instead of accumulating Bitcoin at high prices. But with what is happening, the bulls are more dominant than the bears, and I think bitcoin will break through $30k before a major correction.

Of course, because the price is going to be cheap again and we can all buy when the price is around $20,000. But the thing is that it looks like the bulls will continue this February or at least try to make it to $25,000 which is what others is pointing out, a big resistance.

Currently though, the price is like -4% in the last 24 hours. But still though, it's not yet confirmed is this is a reversal already and the price going back to $20,000 or not. So let's see, in the next 24 hours it might be confirmed though, or we will just punch our way to mid $24,500+.
1612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finantial tracking app asking for BTC address on: February 22, 2023, 08:20:35 AM
I've got a financial tracking app that can keep track of my net worth. I can add a bitcoin address and it will keep track of my BTC, and include it in the total.

Do I have any reason to be concerned about giving this app my bitcoin address? Will it only be able to view my wallet total/transactions?

Should I create a new address for this purpose?

I use bitcoin core

Well if you don't like anyone to see your holdings then why used that financial app? Although bitcoin addresses doesn't have names, who knows, maybe someone is going to track you down and try to hack you.

Privacy centric individual uses or create new address for every transaction as far as I know. So if you want to protect yourself, much better to create a new address, in my opinion.
1613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Do Gamblers Do This? on: February 22, 2023, 05:33:05 AM
In this forum and other forums where gambling is one of the topics of discussion, one of the recurrent topics is people who write about how their gambling addiction has ruined their lives. We usually encounter topics like "Gambling ruined my life,"  "I lost all my life savings to gambling,"  "I gambled away my entire salary," etc. Then they go on to tell a sad tale. It makes me wonder: why do gamblers tend to wait until they have suffered a catastrophic loss or a string of losses before quitting or seeking help?
As long as a gambler is able to manage gambling with his money he keeps it. When he is completely defeated and loses all his assets, he is helpless. Then he tries to understand what he did wrong. If a gambler can anticipate these things and conduct gambling accordingly then he does not have to suffer from such situations. Gambling addiction is a major barrier to responsible gambling. This type of situation will not arise if this addiction can be controlled.

It's really the emotion of the gambler, if he can't control it, then it's a self destructing style. They don't have control of themselves, all they want is to gamble their money away until everything is gone.

And as they try to look at what happen, it's too late already, everything is destroyed, not just the money itself and maybe some relationship as well. So very hard to really snap out of this self infliction addiction until it's too late.
1614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: February 22, 2023, 04:06:16 AM
^^ Isn't it kinda late though? 6 weeks will not be enough to prepare both fighters, although Davis just had a tune up, while Ryan chooses to not to go that way. So he might be in a disadvantage unless he is really training already or this fight.

But in any case, it's a good update for this fight and maybe we can say that 99% that it is going to happen.

Maybe around April-June would be my guesstimate on this fight.

Tank Davis might not have rested and continues to train after his recent fight and Ryan Garcia might presently be training for Tank before the cancellation of his own fight scheduled on January. I also assume that Tank and King Ry signed the contract for April 15. They might be ready to fight next month if they did not need time for promoting this hehehe. Only an injury would cause a postponement for this fight, I reckon.

Maybe, but usually fighters took at least a week off, as far as I know. I mean they will train hard for a certain fight like in the case of Davis against Hector Garcia who gave him a tough fight. So a week off to be with his family and then he has the court case to think about.

Ryan Garcia could be training, but not that much if the fight is not yet sign and delivered because his training will be wasted.

Right now, have we heard of any official announcement that this fight is going to happen April as schedule?

1616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 20, 2023, 03:43:38 AM
Wow! We had great fights this weekend. I was late to realize that the Luis Nery vs Azat Hovhannisyan fight was promoted by GBP since the last time I saw Nery was fighting at PBC. Now Nery will have his 2nd title shot in this division and is waiting for the Inoue-Fulton winner. Nery is really vulnerable in this division.

In the other exciting fight this weekend, I'm so glad Mauricio Lara finally become the champion that he deserved already when he beat Josh Warrington earlier. Former champion Leigh Woods might activate the rematch clause though and will force Lara to return to the UK again.
I missed that fight as I was focused on the Luis Nery vs Azat Hovhannisyan fight.
Thanks for the highlights link @Baofeng.
Damn, that was a good fight. The haymakers thrown by Lara were so scary that if it hits solid it surely will be a knockout and it did in Round 7. Wood didn't took his time and get up as soon as he can, I think that was a mistake from him. He should've rested for a bit, taken his time, rested, until he get his feet back, and did not show it is wobbly. But his corner saw it, so they threw the towel.
I know Wood could've fought more but I think that's best for him, Lara is all ready to put him down again, he will definitely not waste the opportunity.
Very big win for Lara here and finally, a champion.

Yes, it was a good call by his corners, he still wanted to fight but his legs is telling not to. His face is also full of blood while he had his time as well stopping sometimes Lara in his track, but Lara has more recuperating power and that punches he thrown is somewhat awkward but very effective because everytime Wood was hit, he will move back, sign that he is hurt. Let's see if Wood is going to activate the rematch, we love to see this 2 warriors in the center of the ring again exchanging big blows. But I guess Lara wil be the favorite again.
1617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: February 19, 2023, 01:04:56 PM
Anyway, he really need to improve his performance if he wants to beat Haney incase their fight will push through. Because Haney is fearless, confident and an impressive boxer. Moreover he is much younger which is an advantage for him.
This one is different, though. He is the underdog, and he understands that it's the biggest fight of his career. A young champion is trying to dominate, but Loma is still definitely here. Maybe he's not in his prime based on what we've seen, but he will try to prove us wrong in this fight.
Yes, and the majority believe that Loma will lose because he is no longer in his prime. Judgments like that from fans can be very challenging for Loma. Hopefully, he will use it as inspiration to prove to the world that he's still here, and he can do that by giving Haney his first loss.
No longer in his prime but he is still 1 of the best in the world. The odds are stacked against him because he is the older fighter and he has declined the older he has got but I think people are being unfair and forget how good Lomachenko is because he was dominant for many years when he was at his prime and because he loses his recent fights people think he is finished but he still has a good chance of beating Devin Haney or any one that he goes against. He has lost speed but he is still very good technically and I think he could beat Devin Haney if Devin does not take this seriously.

His losses is early on his career against a very experience Orlando Salido and then to Teo Lopez, but that is when Loma has injuries. So he is not 100% on that fight. But when he is in the zone, against Nakatani on his comeback after that shoulder operation, or even against a former champion in Richard Comney, Loma can still fight high level. So I do agree, the degree is somewhat disrespectful to Loma against Devin Haney. But when the odds are stack up against a great boxer, they usually level up their performance, IMHO.
1618  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we experience $80k this year? on: February 19, 2023, 11:53:31 AM
All eyes is set on that 4 year cycle which we are really that hoping or expecting for it to happen.Although it wont really be an assurance that it would be reached out or would happen.$80k for this year is impossible but if we do speak about new all time highs then it wouldnt really be that much surprising if ever we do hit up on new numbers. This is why when you are longing for long term aspect then it would really be ideal
if you do accumulate cheap coins now than on buying when its already pumping.

Regrets do always come at the end on which it would really be that sensible if you do position yourself on the bottom rather than on missing out the train once again waiting for another cycle to come
which would really taking a long years before it would happen.

Right, the best we can do right know is stashing bitcoin   Cheesy more and more so we can the taste the next bull run and ATH, but yes like I was said if the history repeat itself we might see dozen of mini bull run this year. so we need to prepare Cheesy

I think there is no secret that this is the best strategy in bitcoin, stash as much as you can, whether it's on a bear market (but this is the best time), or bulls. Even right after the halving when the price slowly goes up, you can still continue to stack sats and you can still make a profit out of it.

But as what the majority says, $80k is not going to happen for this year. Most likely it will be tap along the bull run in 2024-2025.

The thing with bitcoin ever changing cycle is that it's 4 years, but it is very fast and we couldn't even that next year halving will already be happen again.
1619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Eimantas Stanionis vs Vergil Ortiz Jr - April 29 on: February 19, 2023, 10:37:56 AM
Here is Vergil Ortiz highlights, knock out of all of his opponents,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwSzeQzgLfI

Obviously, you can see and even hear the power when it touches his opponents whether on face or in the body. The way he punch them though in the body is very different, it's like a straight right, not the one that we usually show like a left hook to the body. And I think the straight might be more devastating because his opponents will usually take a knee and can't get up in time.

It's a great combination from Ortiz that's why he is very dangerous opponent for Stanionis. And Ortiz former trainer, Robert Garcia is all praises for Vergil and he knows too much the skills and the power that this kid possesses and he says that Ortiz is too strong for Stanionis.

Stanionis knows this and could prepare himself 100%.

And it will take a lot from him, watching Ortiz fight and see if there is any loophole that he can see and exploit in order to be able to win.
1620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 19, 2023, 09:30:39 AM
No trash talking, but it seems both just wanted to end their fight very quick. And although Hovhannisyan is 34 years old, I think he can still pull the trigger and give Nery here a good fight.
He did give Luis Nery a good fight but the referee decided to stop it at round 11. The officials see something we don't sometimes and this time after Azat Hovhannisyan was punched solid to the face twice by Nery he reacted in a different way. Ref decided to end the match and Nery won the TKO.

I am not really familiar with the names but I'm trusting those records anyway.
A younger fighter with more experience I guess this is a solid upside so we'll see. I'm just trying to get more wins right now betting on each possible winner with just a few dollars to throw every fight. Hopefully, accumulate some wins based on the odds and tips from here.  Grin
I hope you did, it's a win. Azat's face is in a bad shape after the fight. He was wobbly after the first solid punch in Round 11 and he didn't put his arms up to defend against the incoming second punch. That's when he was losing his balance but the referee decided to put an end to it. There's a next time for Azat, it's better if he can still fight rather than continue and be damaged.

Congrats to you, I haven't seen the fight, just watch highlights though, and yeah the face of Azat is in bad shape from the power punches of Nery. But this dude is very tough, but in the end he get tired and no more balance in his legs and it's the right call for the referee.

He could still be a good contender, but with this win, Nery put his name again in the discussion to recapture his belt. But let's see how tough he is if he fights Inoue or maybe Casimero, they have been calling each other way before and this could be good match up as well.
