1641  Economy / Economics / Re: Going to war means let's ulter the economic progression on: September 25, 2022, 07:20:11 PM
Actually, there are quite a number of reasons why wars can occur, as you said, not all wars are related to business problems. There are also countries that do have a very good military strength and a good economy too, but in the end the country is at war with other countries. One of them as you said is just a matter of ego, where there are countries that want to show their strengths better than other countries. That they are a strong country
and if the reason for war is just ego, it is a sad reason for war.

Which many parties were harmed because of the war, but if the reason for war is just ego, that in my opinion is really ridiculous. That's why we have to choose a really wise country leader, and indeed prioritizes the interests of its residents above anything else. But nowadays it seems difficult to choose such a leader, most leaders, especially in big countries, must prioritize their own interests. That's why there are so many countries whose
economy is getting worse, just because their leaders are not wise in making decisions.
Elections and power, that's basically where it comes down to. If a nation is going into war, that usually means either the ruler wants to win some elections, or if they have no elections that they care (like China or Russia) they are willing to just show their power to the world and that's it.

Ego is a good surname for power, like what Putin did, Ukraine wanted to join Europe, and Putin showed this as a chance to prove he is powerful and if he wants to he could stop it, which he is failing so far as we can see, which was expected, Russia doesn't have even remotely the power that west has, and even just supporting Ukraine they managed to blow them back, imagine what would happen if it was a direct war.
1642  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | on: September 25, 2022, 04:08:01 PM
If there really were a lot of bots in that giveaway, I think that the Duelbits team will analyze this and make appropriate changes in the upcoming events. As an option, I guess Duelbits could add a captcha for participants to confirm their participation in each giveaway. Of course,  any kind of captcha is unlikely to stop abusers, but at least it can reduce their number.
They will have to manually check the suspicious account and bot activity so they don't give much attention but yes sometimes there are certain restrictions like submitting your ID as well and some other cases which can reduce the spam bot participation in these kind of giveaways but still we see lot of them trying to rush whenever such codes drop on Twitter.
That is a long process as well, it is not like they can do it in a single second via some software, they will have to do it for a long time and it takes time to do it right as well. I personally believe that the best thing to do would be making sure that you are doing the right thing and in order to do that you need to take time because the right way to do it takes time.

I haven't had it happen to me here, but it did happen to me in another place where I had to wait 48+ hours for my withdrawal, and I was fine with it because I knew that I did nothing wrong, and the rules were on my side, so I just waited and I got it eventually, so it worked out well and if you did nothing wrong it will work out for anyone.
1643  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto jobs make government jobs irrelevant in the near future? on: September 25, 2022, 01:26:02 PM
yes because crypto showed up there is bunch of new job crypto related but it has nothing to do with government job it is what it is both will still exist in the future

and crypto job dominant by software engineering job
Because crypto jobs are more dominated by software engineering. So it will not be surprising if the number of workers in the crypto space becomes more than in the government which is basically already limited by lecture titles, certain skills, and also for the number of workers in certain offices.

This is the uniqueness of the crypto space because it can be reached by all walks of life regardless of the course title and everyone only needs to learn about crypto for the things they need. Because crypto is very broad and also very common, so everyone can choose what things they need to learn and choose with a very wise mind because this is for the purpose of achieving the desired target.
Honestly you could work in the crypto world as anything. You do not need to be a developer, you could be a social media account owner with some followers, which is easy to do, a designer, a writer, a community owner, a discord channel owner, or a moderator, there are million other things. It is not going to stop the government jobs, but it is going to prevent unemployment for sure.

The bigger crypto world gets, the more jobs there will be, and that means people will be employed here, and on top of that government jobs are still good, and that will result with private sector finally starting to pay what they should to people, instead of underpaying them.
1644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Approves The Use Of #Bitcoin And Crypto Cross-Border Payments on: September 24, 2022, 09:08:21 PM
Makes sense, it would allow them to bring in all the money outside of Russia to bring it inside Russia, which is understandable in the long run. I am not saying that it would be a smarter decision for them to just use it that way though, it would make a lot more sense if you could end up using it afterwards as well. Bitcoin is a marvelous project and it would be beneficial for them to use it now that they are exempt from the world.

Plus, they are talking about leaving EU wiring programs like swift, which would mean that it could actually profit them in the long run if they switch to bitcoin first, so it would be easier to go towards something else.
1645  Economy / Economics / Re: Iranian launching Crypto Rial on: September 24, 2022, 04:38:41 PM
Iran is planning to aunch Crypto Rial for across boarder transaction

The central bank of Iran sponsor a bill that, they are to launch crypto rial pilot in the country to test run their economy. But they are using stablecoin.

The Central Bank of Iran
-snip-

That will be nice. That is cryptocurrency mostly bitcoin is gaining ground in the space.
So a digital currency that is almost the same as CBDC. Well that would just be another stable coin that uses blockchain to facilitate transactions. Nothing new here. Just another centralized currency that the government will use to control the funds and money of their citizens.
The difference is that we are not talking about a fiat currency that the whole world could use, helped with a digital currency that could get you some.

Normally you could buy dollars anywhere in the world, it's the most used foreign currency for any nation, and instead of that, we are going to have a nation which has been sanctioned off for many decades now, and that means we are going to have the digital version of it where I could finally get my hands on. Not that I would, because I have no reason and I dislike all fiats, there isn't a single one I like, but I used to not have the chance to do it if I wanted to, now with this new digital one, I could if I want to.
1646  Economy / Speculation / Re: BCT's drop and CPI Report 😧 on: September 24, 2022, 09:19:32 AM
everything that they can find and relate it to crypto they will do it. And the drop just shows how sensitive this market is, however, we all know that there is no central authority so everyone can play with their own rules, whether manipulating it for their own benefits, but it gonna be hard to do that without colluding. Speculators or whatever we call them, will be a huge part of the market though. So let's wait for the next CPI and see if it will have the same impact or not.
That's right, since it's decentralized it's all of us that decide on where the market will go. It's going to be something tough but at the same time it's not going to be a solution to us if we keep selling it, we should be buying as much as possible and that's how we are going to make that money back. Doesn't mean it's going to be easy, but it will certainly not be something incredibly difficult to handle neither.

We just need to stand our ground no matter what kind of news happens, and if we can arrange that we are going to end up with a good price, all we need is not to sell when there is a bad news, which has been what we have done so far.
1647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin a top player in Libertarian Government on: September 23, 2022, 08:19:56 PM
Libertarian governments will be having even harder problems than the ones we have. Imagine a world where bitcoin does allow people to be more decentralized, but there are poor people in the nation, how are we going to help them?

Let's assume that you do not want to, you want every person to be responsible for their own life, then what's going to happen to them? Are you willing to create a government where millions of people are homeless, starving, even dead on the streets? Is that okay for you? Because, you wanted everyone to be their own financial boss, so you do not help anyone, which caused people to not be careful and they would die, is that fine? I personally think it's not.
1648  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need some advice on: September 23, 2022, 06:48:12 PM
I need some thoughts about this group I've joined a week a go. They are giving free signals for trading and I actually start earning since day 1. Are there really group like this? or Am I on the right trading group. We trade in Batex anf U-koala.

If you're earning with their free signals then it's good, but the question would be "for how long?". Maybe they are just making you thirsty about making profits and then they will stop giving you free signals, guess what's next, of course they are going to ask you a membership fee for you to continue having their "free" signals.
People who are good at free ones, would be good at premium as well, why be good at free and be terrible at priced one? It's obvious that if someone could find a way to make money for everyone then they would find a way to make money for everyone.

What I am guessing going on here is that some people share ALL signals that they could, and for a while it goes back to back good and those people who are new there would end up buying, and the ones who see the bad ones will not, that's the good stuff that they are hoping for. This is obvious of course, and there isn't a single person in the world who would make some good returns forever.
1649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations on proof of work might be coming on: September 23, 2022, 05:16:51 PM
BCash Scammer Roger Ver, the person who spreads the lies and misinforms the community that BCash is "the real Bitcoin" because "Peer to peer electronic cash" tweeted something,
Quote
EVM chains seem to be the future.
#Ethereum

https://twitter.com/rogerkver/status/1572241752635084800

Roll Eyes

Hahaha! What kind of scam does he have to con the community now? New tokens perhaps? We can't simply trust Roger Ver. There's always an agenda with him.
Once a scammer always a scammer. He will always believe that he is telling the truth and himself and won't ever imagine that he is actually scamming people, that's the thing. If you asked him, and you gave him like a lie test or something and asked if he scammed people with BCH, he will say that he did not and the lie test will show that he is not lying.

Not because he wasn't scamming, but because even he himself believed it, and this is the same thing. When someone scams you and thinks they are not, that's even more dangerous than the person who scams you and aware of it, because the one who does will stop after a while and this one won't do that.
1650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 22, 2022, 09:58:51 PM
Why did nobody said Wolves? I mean nobody expects them to be champions this year for sure, but they got Gobert and he is a good player and that improved Wolves a lot. It gives KAT to actually be power forward as well which he could be very good for and could cook smaller defenders down there, with two giants on the floor at the same time, they could end up with a lot more wins compared to last year.

If we are talking about teams that improved the most, then Wolves could be the best one, doesn't mean they will be improving to an amazing level, but from tanking to playoffs or thereabouts would be an amazing improvement for any team to have in a single off-season.
1651  Economy / Economics / Re: Development of bitcoin in Nigeria and it's economic effect on: September 22, 2022, 05:40:11 PM
Nigerian government shouldn't see bitcoin as a thing coming to take over Naira as the legal tender but can be use together (side by side) with legal tender and Nigeria digital currency (eNaira)
The government difficult to do this because if there are two type of currency, people will prefer the currency that makes it easier for them to transact as well as other advantages, so not suprising many governments will ban bitcoin because they consider it their fiat competitor and can damage the banking system where the government also oversees the finances of citizen through banking transactions. Moreover, the government is filled with old people who find it difficult to accept change and always consider what has been going on as the most correct thing.
It's also allowing people to avoid being controlled as well, governments would prefer if you could be controlled because that would allow them to have citizens they can shape however they want, but if you use crypto then you can't be controlled and could be free to do whatever you want with your money without them stopping you.

In that case government doesn't have a power on you, if you can manage it in Nigeria then you can manage it anywhere and you are free to go and even can hide it from taxes thanks to some coins like monero. All in all governments would like you to keep on using fiat and make sure that you are not outside of their scope of power.
1652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Solana be the next Ethereum??? on: September 22, 2022, 04:23:20 PM
Solana is a new blockchain network that is being developed to address the scalability issues of the Ethereum network. Solana can process more transactions per second than Ethereum.

The biggest improvement Solana aims to dramatically improve upon Ethereum's existing architecture for transactions, which could give it the potential to be competitive with or even surpass Ethereum in the long term.

However, it's important to note that Solana is not attempting to go head-to-head with Ethereum—instead.
There are a lot of coins that can have a better TPS than ethereum, doesn't mean that they will be higher in price or market cap, it just means it’s cheaper to do transactions there. However, ETH will still be second ranked because it is doing amazingly well with the projects, many projects want to be in either bsc or eth networks and that’s why it is so important for us to always have a foot in the door with ethereum.

SOL on the other hand tries to do one thing but keeps getting frozen chain at times for failing at what they promised they will have, and that is not something I would like to see which is why I do not invest into it, doesn't seem likeable to me.
1653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Coin and Token on: September 21, 2022, 09:10:00 PM
After studying for a long time I finally can distinguish coins and tokens, I used to invest in an ICO but used an ERC20 address, and when I received it turned out to be a token, the easy thing to know is that coin and token is if we want a transaction then the token must use the parent coin for fees transaction.
It's literally just a coin with its own blockchain, and a token that uses someone else's chain, it's that simple, you can't mix that up. Does the thing you are using have its own blockchain or does it use another network of another coin? That is how you could find the difference between them and it is super simple.

ETH is a coin, AXS is a token, BNB is a coin, Cake is a token, these are all simple to understand because one of them has its own chain, and the other one is listed under another coins chain network to exist. I personally invest in both of them if they are good, just like how I have both bnb and cake, but people could have different views of course and I respect that.
1654  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning From Trading Without Any Professional Knowledge on: September 21, 2022, 04:12:18 PM
Every method has risks. But if you can accept the risk and have learned to reduce the level of risk that we can accept, I think it will be a valuable lesson for us to introspect what we have done. I don't recommend using copy-trading because it's not easy to find real pro traders, and usually, those pro traders use big funds to trade. That means we also have to prepare large funds so our profit level can be greater, and not everyone can have much money to start trading. Another way is to buy bitcoins and keep them for the next few years doing nothing.
Those copy-trading people who are willing to share their trades are usually people who would like to promote themselves and that's not always bad, but usually that's a bad thing. It means that they do not truly care about being right or wrong, they care about being followed by as many people as possible and that usually entails getting right back to back, so the "goal" is same, if they make you money then they get famous, good for all.

However, they won't care if you do not make money, they won't be famous and that's bad but they do not lose anything, they just fail to reach their goal, on the other hand you would be losing money and that's not fine.
1655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No doubt POS is centralized on: September 20, 2022, 10:02:50 PM
ETH is now centralized. 46% of ETH belongs to Coinbase and Blackrock.  They can dumpt it whenver they want . Also its handeled by Amazon servers. They can shut it down wheneve they want. This reminds me of the Canadian Cannabis stocks when a new law would pass or license granted. Meant absolutely nothing. Fodder for the sheep.
They can't "dump" it, the money is there but it doesn't belong to them. If they sell all their ETH and then people ask their ETH back, then what? Or if they sell and people sell there as well and there is a financial difference? How are they going to pay for it, out of pockets? What do they gain from it as well? Shorting ETH to make a profit?

I think we need to think this through, and it looks like there is no reason for them to do anything illegal, because if they use others ETH to sell and dump the price, they are located in the USA and SEC would destroy them, not only they will be given a penalty worth tens of millions of dollars, there will be jailed people as well. Doesn't make sense to me at all.
1656  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for September on: September 20, 2022, 09:25:10 PM
Without a doubt it seems way more likely that we are going to close below be 20k level at the end of September, even if a great deal of the people in this forum would like for bitcoin to close above that level we are not numerous enough to influence the price to go up in such a short amount of time, now it is true that the volatility of bitcoin is huge and as such this could happen, but when I take a look at how the price has been moving recently I think it makes more sense that at the end of the month the price is closer to the 15k level than the 25k level.
Unfortunately we do not have the power to change the price, or at least we are not organized enough. There are many people here, people who own websites, news sites, casinos and even exchanges, which means that if all of bitcointalk members who wants bitcoin to go up got together somehow, and decide to pump it somehow, then we could afford to make it go up, not just by buying, we would be able to do that as well but by hyping it as well, and if we did that it would work.

But unfortunately we are disorganized and we do not move like a unit, and that is why it doesn't end up being a good return for anyone, obviously it is normal for us to not get organized like that, but it is sad to know we could, but we won't.
1657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations on proof of work might be coming on: September 19, 2022, 09:38:30 PM
I believe SEC or FED or any government organization in the world could try to stop or ban anything in crypto as they want but they need to realize that it's decentralized and even if you want to ban it in one nation, it will continue from another nation.

You may think that if USA bans it, it would hurt the price a lot but China did it long time ago and we are fine, and China isn't a small nation neither, they had so many investors with so much money, at least as much as USA has, and we are still fine. So, ETH not being liked by governments is not a big deal for us, the reality is that we shouldn't really be worried about such a thing at all, it's fine, they can try to dislike it as much as they want.
1658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Terra Luna Classic (LUNC) Price Prediction. Will LUNC price hit $0.001 in 2022? on: September 19, 2022, 06:48:04 PM
It's true that it's their call, but at the same time I cannot help but wonder what has made those people that invested when the price was so high somehow believe there's still an opportunity for this coin to regain its former glory? Everything points out to the opposite scenario, however it's possible those people have lost so much money already that it makes more sense for them to keep holding their coins and hope for a miracle than to sell and recover less than 1% of whatever they invested in LUNA.
Those people assumed just 1 thing, which would be "if this goes 10x it is still nowhere near the levels it used to be, so why not try to make it work?" and that's it. They believed that even a small recovery with just a few million dollars bought on the market would make it go back up a lot, and they would profit from it.

As we all know it did increase a good chunk but in return we ended up with something major with a crash. Just do not invest into stuff that are shady, that should be an easy step and yet people keep forgetting about that all the time. I am not saying that it shouldn't really be a no-risk taking person, of course take risks but this one isn't a risk, it's idiotic.
1659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 18, 2022, 09:19:03 PM
There are only two games left this week following the postponement of several matches. The remaining matches are between Brentford vs Arsenal and Everton vs West Ham.
After that, entering week 9, there will be a hot duel that takes place Manchester City vs Manchester United at the Etihad stadium. Statistically, Manchester City are without a doubt the favorites in this game, but Manchester United also didn't come to lose, they are in good form now and ready to work in that game.
United has been doing fine so far, not great of course and City is of course the favorites but at the same time we are talking about a team that is getting on a rebound after starting the season badly and anything could happen. Liverpool was seen like a definitely better team as well and they ended up beating liverpool too, to be fair liverpool doesn't look like a great team anymore neither but at least on paper they are.

So, we could still end up seeing an upset in that game, I wouldn't wager on United, but I won't wager on City neither, the upset possibility is weights more than the odds City are given in most places so I would pass up that game.
1660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 18, 2022, 05:48:01 AM
Ronaldo doesn't really have a "price", because it changes from club to club at this stage of his career. He is not the type of player who would be fine about going to Qatar or some Saudi team or whatever middle east rich persons team, or MLS, like Zlatan and Beckham did and earned a ton of money. If that was the case, I am sure you could find a team that is willing to pay 50 million for him and 50 million to him for 5 years, just look at Iniesta and how insane he is getting paid.

So long story short, that 20 million could very well become zero for the right team or fifty million for another, it all based on which team, he is not young anymore so his value is not known.
