In terms of opportunities obviously it's getting better for Manchester City because even in this game they are the away team.
Previously they lost to Manchester City after winning 2 goals first so their chances are still there actually as long as they are still disciplined in defense unlike their previous meeting.
I think this reverse fixture between City and Spurs would be completely different from what we witnessed in the first fixture. The first leg was a game of two halfs, Spurs had the first half (of which they were leading 2-nil at the break), whilst City had a second half to remember (of which they came back from two goals down to win 4-2). I think this time around it is going to be a pretty straightforward victory for City; i sense that Pep's men are going to have an extra spring in their steps from now until the end of the season, we have come to the business end of the season, and the CL is even about to restart, thus i am pretty sure Pep would be looking at his boys and telling them that this is the right time to rediscover their impeccable form.

Congratulations to all the winners, this contest never disappoints in bringing the community together, and this one didn't too. Well Done icopress and GazetaBitcoin for the seamless organization of this Bitcointalk award show yet again. Great gesture from the sponsors as well: Betnomi and Cryptios, to add rewards to it. Thank you all.

I know some of the first place winners woudn't accept the physical items they've won for privacy reasons, it is what it is, and as Bitcoiners it is completely understandable, but it is great there's a Bitcoin reward, and of course no problem about privacy violation on that one (part of the reason we love Bitcoin eh Grin). Cheers guys!
1643  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A fortunate story of a crypto mentor on: February 01, 2023, 11:12:41 PM
It's been a long time but I can still remember  Doge coin, Matic, Harmony, Shiba and some other altcoins, I don't know how much he put in each of the projects per say but he made mention of these altcoins,
The thing is, these altcoins can go either way, they could pump or they could dump, that's why they are called pump and dump projects/coins, and as a result of that, they are very much more risky than investing in Bitcoin. In the short term altcoins (if you are lucky to get a good one) can generate quite a huge ROI for its investor before it dumps (which is somewhat a certainty). Thus your 'mentor' might have been lucky to stake his money on these coins at the right time, but on another day he might not be that lucky. If you want to hold your crypto for a long term after investing what you can afford to lose, then the crypto of your choice should be Bitcoin that is sustainable for the long term.

Yep. Arteta made a good decision to sign Jorginho. He is an experienced midfielder and he will bring a good impact on the midfield line of Arsenal. His quality is as well as Thomas Partey, Arteta can have many options in the midfield line. If Jorginho can play better, he may be the main player for Arsenal squad. Sure, he is lucky to join Arsenal, he has a chance to win EPL trophy with Arsenal now.  Cheesy
Well, to win the EPL a team needs a big squad, the depth in the squad goes a long way to help a team become EPL champions, Arteta knows this, he was a multiple time EPL winner with Manchester City (as their assistant manager). Jorginho's signing is along the lines of bolstering the Arsenal squad, so that there is enough replacements should injuries happen.

Having said that, Arsenal have a very stable squad atm, thus i don't expect Jorginho to break into it immediately and become a main player for them, but his time will definitely come, and i'm pretty sure that notwithstanding the number of minutes he gets under his belt this season for Arsenal, he is going to give his absolute best. Overall Arsenal have done great business this winter and they are set to go all the way to the title.
1645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: January 31, 2023, 10:07:53 PM
Until now I still believe in English clubs having a better game than Serie A. This certainly makes me feel confident at the moment Tottenham are much better than Ac Milan. But sometimes UCL matches have surprises besides that Milan Also a team that has a lot of experience in the UCL. So it's actually hard to guess. But in the first leg they will play in Italy so my hope is Tottenham can draw. Or lose not by a large margin of goals. The hope is that Tottenham will be able to win and ensure qualifying in the second leg in England.
Imo i think this fixture is evenly balanced at 50/50, the both teams are somewhat of equal strength and if we are to take their respective league performances into account, then they are both struggling and in a pretty bad shape, Spurs are in fifth position in the EPL standings, whilst AC Milan are also fifth in the Seria A table as well. Having said that, i expect it to be an entertaining game, but a very difficult one to call/predict, if i am to throw my weight behind one of these teams in this fixture, then i'd say AC Milan would progress, but only very little would separate the teams in the end.
1646  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto YouTubers are all financial advisors on: January 31, 2023, 08:40:40 PM
The thing is, as a crypto investor do not take any individual as a financial advisor, or an expert in crypto trading/investing; if you take investment advise from people you are basically investing in what they have invested in, because they would try to pitch the coins in their portfolio to you, so as to pump the project/coin.

Having said that, the only way to go about investing/trading in crypto is to DYOR and be responsible for whatever would be the result of your investment decision.
1647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 31, 2023, 08:11:24 PM
Arsenal are still thinking of signing Youri Tielemans. They are ready for a late move to sign him. He still hasn't extended his contract with Leicester as you know and he doesn't seem to have such intention as well.
Well i don't think Arsenal would be interested in Youri Tielemans again, at least not in this January winter transfer window, maybe in the summer, because they have already signed Jorginho from Chelsea to bolster their midfield. Though i didn't really hear too much rumors about Arsenal being 100% interested in Youri Tielemans in this window, as i am not sure there were any official bids for the Leicester midfielder.

Having said that, i think Youri Tielemans is going to leave to leave Leicester City pretty soon, they are having a bad season and they didn't have a good one last season as well, Youri he is a good player, thus i expect the Belgian to leave Leicester City for a better/big club.
1648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 31, 2023, 07:02:43 PM
Now there is no other choice, Arsenal must focus on the Premier League and Europa League. Those are two competitions they are still likely to win this season, but I don't expect Arsenal's march to the title to be easy.
I don't think Arteta would have any focus set on the Europa League, if they prolly were in a bad position on the league table with a possibility of not making it into the top four, then they would have concentrated on the Europa League and tried to win it so as to get an automatic ticket into the CL next season.

Having said that, Arsenal are in a great position in the EPL, they currently sit at the summit, thus they would definitely have their focus solely on the EPL, this is a title they haven't won in over 19 years, i think Arsenal's goal is primarily the EPL, the Europa League comes after it.
1649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 31, 2023, 06:00:34 PM
And now the ones who have to fight through difficult times are Chelsea and Liverpool. these two teams now have to struggle to go through the same process as Arsenal in past years. But everyone's expectations are of course expecting the team they like to recover quickly. and that's normal. so it's no wonder that many blues fans will expect Chelsea to recover to their best form quickly.
Arsenal haven't won the EPL since 2004, that is about 19 years or so ago, Liverpool didn't win the EPL for 30 years before Klopp guided them to the title and some successful years of recent, whilst Chelsea have been a very successful team in the last decade and a little more, thus comparing Arsenal's woes/wait for another EPL title with Chelsea and Liverpool's dip in form this season is pretty unfair.

Having said that, the season is far from over, thus Liverpool and Chelsea could still finish on a high note, not that i expect them to win the EPL title, but they could bounce back and finish the season in a much better way. I don't expect them to stay down for quite a long time, if it doesn't happen this season, then it will next season, Chelsea are currently undergoing an overhaul of their team, and Liverpool are expected to acquire quite a lot of players in the summer, thus i guess the future is bright.
1650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 30, 2023, 04:32:20 PM
liverpool and chelsea are 2 elite EPL teams who are experiencing a period of crisis, without any overhaul it will be difficult for them to get up and return to the top flight
Chelsea are currently undergoing an overhaul of their team, they have bought around 6-7 players in this January winter transfer window and they are currently still chasing Enzo Fernandez, and if the reports we are getting lately are true, then they might prolly be close to signing the Argentine midfielder, the thing about Chelsea's overhaul is that it started pretty late, and we might begin to see its effects next season, though i personally think they would have to change their manager as well (even if he was just recently appointed).

Having said that, Liverpool are in all sorts of problems and to decipher a solution is quite difficult, i think the club has to spend big in the summer, they have an aging midfield and a dearth in prolific attackers, as both Salah and Nunez are misfiring, the club has to invest in quality players in the summer. It could also be a possibility that after all the good things Klopp has done, his time might prolly be up at Liverpool as he has failed to lift the players this season.
1651  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This is a gathering of many hopeful people. on: January 30, 2023, 03:38:57 PM
Bitcoin isn't growing or developing based on just hope, people aren't basically buying Bitcoin's because they hope it doesn't collapse like most altcoins have done, or fade until zero and go extinct. Most people are buying Bitcoin and believe in it because they have done their own research and found out that Bitcoin has an actual utility (as a currency and an asset), they have also found out that the Bitcoin network is far more secure than any other crypto out there, it is also a currency that is free from government and central control, meaning that Bitcoin owners can use their coins as they like.
This hope carried in this forum is infectious and for any one who had doubts about the future of bitcoins but manages to come across this forum will be very encouraged. Thank you for sharing HOPE bitcointalk.
Whilst that is good, do not buy Bitcoins because others are buying, DYOR and buy based on your own findings about Bitcoin and its network.
1652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a crypto project reliable and trustworthy ? on: January 30, 2023, 03:21:37 PM
Mind you that if you are actually doing your research into which altcoins are very good, you're prolly doing what's synonymous to looking for a needle in a haystack, altcoins are short term projects, and you definitely cannot classify most of them as being reliable or trustworthy.

Having said that, a project should have an actual utility, like Bitcoin, that is what makes it stand out amongst all other cryptocurrencies, make sure it doesn't have a fake utility or hyped up promises like most altcoins. You wouldn't also want to buy a coin that is centrally controlled by some individuals/whales who can manipulate the price of the coin in any direction they so choose, that's another reason why a decentralized coin like Bitcoin is a no-brainer for most crypto enthusiast. Well DYOR is the only way to be sure of what you're doing and to be confident in your decision.
1653  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Breaking news on Naira note on: January 30, 2023, 01:55:29 PM
The CBN governor is a confused man. Because of all this things Nigeria can not develop. Why can't dey sae something and stand by it. Though the extension is not but they have to stand by their words so that the citizens will also adapt to it. If they are doing like this, the citizens will also know that Nigerian leaders are like this so let do this way. Because of the deadline I stopped my business to avoid the old banknotes and only for them to extend the deadline. The only Nigeria will get better is the day Nigeria leaders are reader work.
I no see anything wey they bad for this extension, the old notes still choke in circulation, and the new notes never too spread like that, Nigerians been they struggle to swap their old notes to new ones because the queue choke for bank and some ATM's then been they give them old notes, so the system been no they organized and the notice was somewhat short, Naija people come they plead for more time to swap their notes and that is why CBN considered this extension.
Because of the deadline I stopped my business to avoid the old banknotes and only for them to extend the deadline.
Why do you need to stop your business because of the naira swap. The only thing you gats do is to stop accepting the old naira notes from your customers, it is either they pay you with the new naira notes, or make them do transfer, or make you go get PoS machine for your business so your customers go fit pay you through that way. Everything they simple.

Brother, the forum no they ban person because e create duplicate topics, wetin forum they mostly ban people for na when they plagiarise or carry malware they share to other users, so reporting duplicate topics no mean say you no like the person wey create the topic or you want make the person enter wahala, no be so, if you report these duplicate topics, moderator will only delete the ones wey people create after the original topic/thread and that is all.

Having said that, reporting duplicate topics na just one of the ways to keep the board free from spam, but instead of reporting the topics you fit also show the person wey start the duplicate topic the original topic on that subject so that e go fit lock him own thread, come continue the discussion for the original thread.
1655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 27, 2023, 12:36:27 AM
It is sad that Frank lost his job. He should know that there is no correlation between being a great player and turning out to be a great manager. I do not think it works that way.
Well, obviously i think everyone knows that not all great footballers turn out good managers, but there have been quite a lot of great/good players that turned out to be great managers, it is based on how well one can read/understand the game and the clubs they were lucky to manage.

Having said that, i don't think Lampard is a bad manager overall, when he was at Chelsea he wasn't all that bad, just that the owner then (Abramovic) was always impatient with managers; moving to Everton was always going to be difficult for him, even a manager like Carlo Ancelotti couldn't succeed there, they (Everton) have quite a lot of management issues and the problem has to be addressed from the root, or else managers would keep on coming and going. I wish Lampard all the best, and i hope he gets a better team pretty soon.
1656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 26, 2023, 11:56:11 PM
I see that Everton is a club that is not too strong and is not ready to compete against a club as big as Arsenal. Arsenal must take advantage of a situation like this to add many points by scoring many goals, because Arsenal meeting Everton is a very rare opportunity for Arsenal.
Well, tbh Everton are in a pretty bad state right now, they are a relegation threatened side, and even if i know that sometimes it can be a thorn in the flesh to play a club that's fighting for their lives, Everton still have to be at their very best if they are to get anything out of this game. Lampard is gone, and they also lost Danjuma to Spurs in the last minute, the fans want Farhad Moshiri to sell the club to new owners, but a couple of days ago he already declared that the club isn't for sale. Whilst things don't seem to be working out very well for Everton, if they are to save their season and stay in the premier league, then they have to start winning games, and they have to start with the next one even though it's an absolute uphill task.
1657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: January 26, 2023, 10:27:01 PM
So yes, this season has not been good for Chelsea and maybe it will be the last season for Chelsea to play in the Champions League, but in the next few seasons, then of course Chelsea should be able to return to playing in the Champions League.
Well, we aren't even sure yet that they would miss out on CL football next season, but tbh they are very very far from a top four spot in the EPL, so they have only but a glimmer of hope as chances are sky high that they would miss out on finishing in the top four. The other way around it is if they win the CL this season, and thus get an automatic qualification for next season's tournament, but that feat seems beyond them this season.

Having said that, Chelsea signed and will still sign quite a lot of players, i wonder what the atmostphere would be like with all these quality stars if they fail to qualify for the CL. If they had a reliable manager then i would prolly not count them out just yet, but imo Potter isn't the man to take them out of this slump.
1658  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Reason why I will never help anyone to invest in crypto on: January 26, 2023, 04:59:52 PM
Is anyone seeing the same thing in their city or country?
Absolutely; i have friends of mine who know of my interest and enthusiasm towards cryptocurrencies, and more often than not they try to cajole me into telling them a particular coin to invest in, the amount they ought to invest in it, when they should invest in it and when they should sell, more often than not i use their questions to educate them about crypto generally without giving them direct answers to their questions or choosing for them, i teach them in such a way that with the knowledge learnt they would be able to make their own choice.

Having said that, they are never happy with that, they basically want me to give them direct answers to their questions which would mean i am indirectly investing for them, most times they get upset but that is as good as i can do, i know the consequences of making a choice for them, so i make sure i never do that, if you make investment choices for people, you are responsible for whatever is the outcome of the investment.
1659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana takes back top 10 position on: January 26, 2023, 04:42:52 PM
Solana is once again a top ten coin, I am starting to feel like I will regret not buying solana and hold for a long time because if this project survive it will bring the highest ROI in the list of top coins on coinmarketcap, the present value is even looking good, what is your take on Solana? Are you a believer or you think it won't do well for long.
Well, i am definitely not a believer in Solana as a long term coin, basically i consider pretty much all altcoins to be short term projects, they are more or less coins you acquire for short term profits which you accrue by selling off quickly when the coins pump, and later you go in search of other coins that are yet to pump, it is pretty risky to do, and akin to gambling, but if you get it right more often than not you might make some decent ROI.

Having said that, if you believe in SOL, then buy it, but make sure it is after you have done your own research, SOL has had a very unstable movement in the last couple of months, whilst i don't think it might survive at the top and be valuable for a long time, i might as well be completely wrong, every investor should do their research and take a stand on what to do, but personally i wouldn't buy SOL now.
