China's pseudo-communistic government is diametrically opposed to Bitcoin, ideology wise.

Understanding and believing in Bitcoin must feel to fiat evangelists like a gender conversion.
What's the analogy again...?
Well, it's not a matter when they will do it, but a question of when is the pain high enough that they'll have to do it.

EDIT: added details. english probably still a bit sketchy, though...

The Dude back out of forced sleep…. First thing, check the WO

Or almost first thing, maybe after 2,3 calls and a good meal, sober 16hours I think

Was hungry AF

Dude, WTF?

I know you visited Greece, as well as some other WO’s. Almost pm’ed you.

Sick with all the morons telling me I should exit my position in BTC all summer long.
Suddenly everybody is an expert. And then you try to explain to them that if they are not a Wall Observer they don’t know shit.
HFSP is really an understatement, and every single one of them FIAT lovers, deserves what’s coming around the corner.

How about HFSD ("Have Fun Staying Dumb")?
Speaking of, i listened to an interview on the radio, which was about the "Fridays For Future" movement. A promoter went on about it may be nice to reduce emissions in households, but it would be needed to limit the industrial emissions and use of energy. Then he suddenly switched over to Bitcoin, stating that Bitcoin should be banned, because it "produces" 22 (mega, tera, peta?) tons of CO2. What a moron! No word about 76% of all miners using green energy, and almost half of them using waste energy to secure and operate the network.
There is a small chance that the movement will get that Bitcoin actually supports their goals, sometime in the future.
All other folks: HFSD  Grin

Just looking at bitcoin.org home page and I see a dispute between CSW and COBRA over the publication of the white paper.
Does anyone have any more details regarding what is happening to bitcoin.org?
Is it going to be run by that ego maniac Wright?

CSW is using whatever buggary he can to get his name associated with Satoshi. Unfortunately, in the actual Satoshi's absence, there are a few places where this can have actual legal repercussions. He's likely also trying to take advantage of antipathy towards people on the BTC side of things that many from BCH and BSV* view as having acted unfairly. This all regardless of the fact that the real Satoshi could prove himself with almost no effort.

In other words, just the usual jibber-jabber.

*Personally I consider the whole of the BSV project as disingenuous and acknowledge that many here view BCH disfavorably.

Bitcoin Judas started it. CSW forked BSV off BCH afair, so it isn't even "Bitcoin" any more, no matter how often he claims BSV is the real shit.
But... To be true, it is real shit  Cheesy

EDIT: Cobra could well have fought the case, by giving up anonymity. I would also consider this price too high for hosting the damn whitepaper. You can also guerilla host it in Panama and point a link to it, and if CSW fights this too, place a link to a google search that delivers the whitepaper url as first/only hit.

People forget that Cobra supported the forks early on.  I do not think what is happening to him is just, but I also feel like he brought it on himself somewhat.

To forget seems to be my fate BUT i didn't even know that about Cobra. Supporting forks is not bad at all, but the flamewars were and are terrible.
Short: We all make mistakes. So it's kinda OK, if we regret and don't repeat them.

I'm out for today, hoping to see BTC at new heights tomorrow morning  Cool
Just stumbled over this animated comedy series: "Q Force" (season 1) - it's seems like the queer counterpart to "Archer", on the first glance.

bitcoin.org got hacked via Cloudfare and hosting related issues. The team was quite upset troubleshooting the event yesterday.

It is not ever likely to be acquired by either Calvin or Craig.

Thanks Bob and others who replied.
I hadn't heard much of CSW for a while and was hoping that he had faded away like a mysterious rash.

Ulcers usually get cut out, though.
I am quite happy i didn't read or hear about CSW for longer time (weeks, probably months...?), which like totally shifted him out of existence.
My memory handicap has some positive aspects  Grin
1646  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 23, 2021, 06:48:48 PM
This all regardless of the fact that the real Satoshi could prove himself with almost no effort.

Prove to whom? Anyone who still believes CSW wouldn't be convinced by signed messages or any such witchcraft, we already had that. Should Satoshi dox himself like Cobra is being forced to? Probably wouldn't work anyway since his identity wasn't really known back in the day.

Stop feeding scamming trolls by shifting the burden of proof.

I think you missed the point. CSW is using whacked methods to represent himself as Satoshi when there would be far simpler methods to do so if he actually were. This in itself is a huge red flag (of many) that he is up to fuckery.

Any news on CSW using MtGox wallet addresses as "proof" for his lies which have been identified as "stolen" already?
No consequences? I'm not a bad guy, but i would love to see this fucker going down because of his own arrogance.

I see bitcoin .org hack as a net positive. Bitcoin doesn't have or need any rulers or websites. I applaud the "hacker" and find it hilariously suspicious that after getting full control of such website all they do is put up double your BTC scam. Can't think of a better way of discrediting such website without causing harm to underlying BTC.
In fact I'd love to see all of the devs go fully anonymous, and just sign the released code as their sign of approval that they have vetted the code. i.e. just take the roll of official "auditors" of the code

As far as faketoshi, BSv is now outside of top 50 on coinmarketcap behind "Klaytn" (whatever that is). Market has deemed him irrelevant, and i couldn't agree more

Fully Agree. BSV is what it is and always was: irrelevant.
Worth to add: This wasn't even a website hack. Cobra moved to some cloud DNS service (because of ongoing DDOS), the dns admins got tricked (i guess via social engineering) to point the domain name to a different IP address. I would hold them fully responsible for the $17k damage.

^ In Sept. 2017 BTC also dipped quite a bit, but it was mostly going up (daily) from that point onward.
I remember buying in the first time a few weeks earlier and Bitcoin dropped down a little bit above the price it was when i bought.
I also panic sold a few days after i bought, just to buy in again one or two days later, when it was going up again. I'm glad i didn't make this mistakes later in Sept 2017.
#hodl

Just looking at past bitcoin prices & September 2013 caught my attention.

29 September 2013 - Price was $137
The top for that cycle, a few months later in 2013 was over $1,100.

Now, if we can even do 3 or 4 x the current price I will be the happiest man alive.

That Evergrande news avalanche is shitty, though. MIght take BTC with it for a while. I don't care. Got no short term plans for fiat.

Getting sick of these dips now. Starting to doubt my confidence about new highs later in the year now  Undecided
Edit - Not selling obviously but not feeling particularly bullish atm.

A handsome, tall black fellow, wearing fashionable yet comfortable clothing approaches you from out of nowhere. A well worn tan cowboy hat adorns his head, suggesting an untold history of experiences and legends yet to be revealed.

You notice the man is carrying two dull circular metal plates, pocked with spherical indentations and scrapes - Clearly having been punished to their material limits.

The man holds out the two plates, with his left arm - somehow defying the laws of gravity.

With his right arm, he tips his hat, and mutters "You are going to need these more than I do right now".

The dark man turns, and walks off into the western sunset.

That's nice. I feel like the plates would have either stamped, engraved, or etched characters in them. Could it be 12 to 24 words?

I was actually thinking of some sort of testicular protection, since LFC dropped a bearish comment.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
I'm not aware that he ever did that before  Cool

Definitely. We all are.
The difference is that the shit goes out of our tail end, while yours goes out the other way  Cheesy

"Trust the science", they say?

Well "the science" shows that a vaxxed and an unvaxxed person can carry and spread the CV19 virus equally just as well. And a vaxxed person can still contract the virus at a later point. In fact, there is a very good chance that a vaxxed person would likely contract the virus from another vaxxed "asymptomatic carrier" around them, who is more likely to break social distancing rules because of a false sense of trust and supposed minimal symptoms.

So if they feel protected, I'm still left wondering why the vaxxed care so fkn much about what the unvaxxed do again?

I've even seen a vaccinated person who claims to understand "the science" take a step back from someone who said "I had Covid, but I'm fine now because I have natural immunity!" Talk about fkn delusional behavior.

Pupils in here schools are tested three times a week. Positive pupils are home-quarantined if they are not vaxxed, the vaxxed ones are returning to their classrooms.
By all means of science. What is telling you this? In essence: SARS-CoV-2 is no more something to be afraid of, it's something "we" (they) want (us) to have. With such high infection rates as with the Delta variant, mutation is mandatory, as well as if the vaccines keep 90% (decreasing over time) from severe symptoms, there will be a wave of fatalities mostly among unvaccinated, followed by a wave of vaccinated deads, because the spreading and mutation will finally be over 10x as high as of past times, with most cases low- or asymtomatic.

... this is the best case scenario
... a worse scenario is if the experiment goes badly and previously low-risk groups (like majority of fit, healthy, happy people under 50) have had their immune systems attenuated by the vaccines in such a way that they are now more vulnerable to coronavirus then start getting seriously ill in much higher numbers when the vaccines wane around 6-8 months after dosing ...
... the apocalyptic scenario is the virus mutates under evolutionary pressure from the population-wide vaccine strategy into a beast that cannot be tamed as it evolves faster than vaccine variant iterations can keep up ... and ADE as evidenced from all previous attempts to develop coronavirus vaccines shows up when artificial immunity wanes

ADE are a hot topic, pretty unlikely, though - says current research.
I am waiting for the results of the trials for the vaccine to be inhaled. it's expected to build up antibodies in the upper respiratory tract, which would minimize oral spreading and shorten the duration of (low- or asymptomatic) CoV infection.

EDIT: #hodlsleep.

Have you resolved the land dispute yet?

Survey company should have the documents ready for us to proceed with the case next week. It's taking much longer to resolve than I'd like, but we can't rush anything, given the formal nature of the dispute. We're looking good to win, and legitimately have a case for the Sherriff to come out if need-be.

It's causing me a tremendous amount of aggravation, but construction continues regardless.

Or are the lawyers eating funds faster than your ranch.

No. Lawyer is pretty chilled out, and wanting us to get the property built out ASAP, so he has a nice long range to shoot his .50 Cal at.

Haha I like that, and your lawyer will be happy, its great to have space for a range.

No doubt your neighbor will hate you in an inter generational feud.

hope your recovery is complete soon.

The Neighbor?
I don't think so.
Too far away, i guess.

Who could have thought so many woers/bitcoiners are in fact antivaxxers? Guys you do sound like you're from the 19th century. Science gave us BTC and so it gave us vaccines. No need to be afraid of science. Most of the poor antivaxxer guys have been brainwashed by the youtube videos and questionable news sites. Lots of people are going to die because of this.  Sad

Yes there are side effects. Every vaccine has them. Thrombosys, myocarditis etc all are extremely rare. Like really really rare 3 people out of 1 million. Vaccines are like that - somebody's child (or parent) will die a painful death. But billions will be protected from the virus. It's the price we have to pay...    Cool

Because the more you know the better you understand the risks.

https://www.zerohedge.com/covid-19/study-finds-most-highly-educated-americans-are-also-most-vaccine-hesitant

You nailed it. I have to memorize this for future discussion.
