wanna see some new shitcoin funded greenpeace anti bitcoin ad?
here ya go:

cringe warning!

https://twitter.com/greenpeaceusa/status/1681325536855879685

These green activists coated with all the shit of the world would demonize their own mothers and fathers if someone paid them for it. Since this is happening in the US, is it possible to file a lawsuit for presenting inaccurate data and misleading the public?

Given all the big companies that are located there and have something to do with Bitcoin, isn't this something that can have a negative impact on their business?
1642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lost access to my bitcoin wallet... on: July 22, 2023, 01:39:56 PM
~snip~
OP has no other choice if he can not recover data by himself but using third party data recovery is risky. They can say we fail to recover your data but in fact they got it successfully and stole that wallet file and got access to bitcoin. We can not know what they do after we pass our devices and drives to them for data recovery.

I personally know that some data saving services offer an option for the client to be present in the data rescue procedure, and I wrote that in the previous post. I suppose that OP can ask for this type of service if he is ready to pay more, and I believe that one glass of water could not destroy the data on the disk - because that genius who is looking for his HDD in a pile of garbage for ten years still claims that data can be saved.
1643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: lost access to my bitcoin wallet... on: July 22, 2023, 11:12:24 AM
so a few years back i had a few bitcoin on a hard drive but today i tried to access the harddrive and i ended up spilling a glass full of water all over it and now it wont boot up.

Haven't you ever heard/seen that electronics and water are not the best of friends? Such a situation is incomprehensible to me, because I never have any liquids near my computer or any other electronics.

what are my options?

I recommend that you seek professional help from people who are engaged in professional data recovery, and considering that you have very sensitive data, you can ask to be present during the procedure (some offer this option). Of course, as some have already mentioned, you should first calculate whether it is worth saving the data considering their value in relation to the cost of the procedure - although I would note that you should also take into account the possible value of those BTC in the future.

Guys. Thank you so much for your questions and participating my conversation.
Unfortunately, Kindly 🙏🏻 I don’t have enough time to convince you.
I love u. You always open my eyes!
Cheers! See u soon.

You can spend a whole year here and convince anyone you want of your illusions that you are a successful crypto trader, but you admitted that you gambled away everything you ever earned, no matter what you blame the market for. Instead of literally begging for money, you'd be better off rolling up your sleeves and getting down to some serious work, which is what most people do in life.
1645  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin update news on: July 21, 2023, 02:40:19 PM
where to start... ok.. so... when you post your so called "news" it would be lovely if you added some thoughts of your own..
especially when you are new here and people don't know much about what your opinions are...

we have enough idiots coming here and spamming copypasta into the WO to get merits for their bounty campaigns...

if people want to read the cointelegraph they can just go there. No need to regularly copy their stuff into the WO, especially when you yourself have nothing to say about it...

Maybe he was paid to spam their links on the forum, because there were a couple of members who kept doing it in the Press Board a few years ago. Although this is probably not the case, these are still posts that would otherwise be considered as "low value, zero effort posts" outside WO.
1646  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for investor/partner - Short-term condition on: July 21, 2023, 02:25:26 PM
Fortunately, I bought a house for my parents w/ most of traded money because they were suffering a lot for years But unfortunately I lost the rest of the traded money during 2021' market manipulation.(It was Friday).

It just goes to show that you're bad at managing money because you managed to spend everything you earned and you turned out to be a sucker who didn't learn anything no matter what you claim to have "extensive experience in trading since 2013".

I was liquidated thousands of money in my life during different days and moments to LEARN how to manage my own risks .(I also lost my funds in centralized exchanges "Crypsty/MintPal/BTC-e/Bittrex".

Another proof that you don't know how to assess the situation, because you lost funds at as much as 4 CEX, and who says you won't do it again?

Actually, I need "parner" and "investor" bcauze There is not any financial backer around me to invest in my talent after 2021' liquidation.

You just think you have talent, and if that were the case, you wouldn't be looking for an investor here. You're actually looking for a sucker to give you money and doesn't ask too many questions, and I hope no one gets so naive as to believe your fairy tales.

If you're so sure of your talent, sell the house you bought and invest that money in yourself Wink
1647  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Which wallet is the most suitable option when considering a switch from Ledger? on: July 21, 2023, 01:49:33 PM
Specifically, I am looking for a multicoin wallet, not limited to Bitcoin.
~snip~

One HW that is currently considered the best option when it comes to Bitcoin has already been mentioned, and what you need is really something that can be debated for a long time. Luckily I don't have to think about altcoins, and what little I have from the past is not worth much, and I guess in the future it will be worth even less.

If I were you, I would definitely move BTC (if you own it) to a more secure device, and if you have a significant value in altcoins and feel that Ledger is too much of a risk, choose any open-source HW with a good reputation.
1648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Presidential candidate announces plan to back the US dollar with Bitcoin on: July 21, 2023, 11:06:04 AM
I'm really surprised that this news hasn't already resulted in a significant price increase because it's the presidential candidate of the most powerful country in the world Roll Eyes

It's because this politicians isn't popular, especially outside US. It would be different if popular candidate such as Biden or Trump said it.

Of course, this was not a serious question, because it is quite clear what kind of candidates have the only chance to become president in that country for the last 20 years. Completely incompetent like Bush Jr., those who promote war and then award themselves the Nobel Peace Prize, or complete lunatics and senile people shaking hands with the air and inviting the dead to join them on stage.

The one we're talking about wouldn't be a logical continuation, although I'm not surprised anymore when it comes to this country.

How do the big whales do it?
I don't think they mix their millions with CoinJoin.

Who says big whales even need to mix their coins? If they need it, then they use all those publicly known methods like everyone else.

Learn to edit quoted posts because what you're doing looks really ugly and makes no sense at all.

1651  Economy / Economics / Re: Food security in the world has been shaken by Russia's actions on: July 20, 2023, 02:09:15 PM
~snip~
With its piracy, Russia is blackmailing the whole world, trying to partially lift sanctions for its military invasion of Ukraine and jeopardizing food security in the world, thereby increasing the threat of hunger in many poor countries of the world.

There is an old saying that says "In love and in war everything is allowed", and in the context of this saying why should this even be news if we know that Russia has already killed about 10 000 civilians (of which over 500 children) by aggression against a neighboring country. For them, it makes no difference whether they kill with weapons or by causing famine in some poor country.

Besides, blackmail isn't going to help them, because we crossed the threshold long ago when negotiating with terrorists. It is true that some countries depend on cheap grain from Ukraine, but these needs will simply have to be covered from some other sources.

Perhaps some think that Ukraine is irreplaceable in this regard, but only the EU produces as much as 6 times more grain than Ukraine, which this year is at only 21 000 metric tons, which is 12 000 metric tons less than the previous year.

1652  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 10% discount on Ledger hardware wallets on: July 20, 2023, 01:28:32 PM
When you have a 30% discount without any specific reason and if you go with a change of color, it seems to me that their sale is not going very well - which is actually good news, because it would mean that most people realize the risk they're taking if they buy this device.

I wouldn't take their HW even in case they decide to share it completely free of charge - let Pascal take these colored HW, make himself a necklace, and try to make a promotion like that👎
1653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Days you need to work your ass at minimum wage for a BTC, by country on: July 20, 2023, 11:01:59 AM
If nothing else, at least I can console myself that I am in the top 50 and that it would only take me about 4.5 years of work with a minimum salary to buy 1 BTC at the current price, of course provided that I live on air, sun and water from the well/stream Roll Eyes

Otherwise, the minimum wage for 2023 in my country is 560 EUR, so compared to the data you have you should add about 100 more days more, although this does not mean something too much in the big picture. For those who think that milk and honey flow in the European Union, I will just say that East and West can not be compared on this issue.

Yet my dear prime minister says that we live well, of course, when he compared us to some African countries Lips sealed
1654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kuwait Bans Bitcoin and crypto payments, investement and mining on: July 20, 2023, 10:37:44 AM
I can't say if there's any interest in Kuwait when it comes to Bitcoin, whether it's ordinary people or companies, but I have to admit that apart from a few mentions when it comes to mining, I haven't encountered any news from that country when it comes to Bitcoin. It's also hard to say why they decided to make such a drastic decision, but I wouldn't be surprised if some of the local rich lost a bunch of money in some crypto investment, and this is kind of revenge for it.

However, as always for ordinary people, this does not have to be a problem because the BTC transaction does not require the approval of the government or any politician, and those smart will always find a way to continue trading with BTC and stay under the radar.

The only thing I'm interested in is what are the penalties for those caught in the offense - I hope it's not something of the type of punishment that exists in that part of the world.
1655  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: help please, i can't find my funds on: July 19, 2023, 02:43:44 PM
There was an email, electrumdev@gmail.com, they help you in such cases in cooperation with the authorities, but I don't think if that still works or not.
~snip~

What can any developer do in a particular case? They can't do anything, and they're also not responsible for any bad consequences arising from using their software. It's a Bitcoin transaction, and it can't be reversed in any way.

There is a small chance that the address where the coins are located is from some CEX, but then you need to react quickly and try to freeze the funds before it is too late.
1656  Economy / Economics / Re: Population: Economic strength or weakness on: July 19, 2023, 01:50:41 PM
~snip~
Forget about increasing or reducing the population, it doesn't work, they are just litmus test as far as I'm concerned and it has different results per country. Once the foundation/system is wrong, it's a problem, the country can't get it right with either increased or reduced population.

I wouldn't agree that it doesn't work if it can be implemented exactly as intended, and China's One-child policy is a prime example that such a thing is possible. Despite all the controversy surrounding the policy, it is estimated that from 1979 to 2015, about 400 million less children were born in China due to the measure.

I think some African countries should definitely do something about curbing the growth of their population, because it is no longer just their problem, but also a problem of other countries that are facing an increasing number of migrants from these countries. Of course, some other countries such as India have the same problem, and they are trying to solve this by exporting their cheap labor force to Western markets, where this same labor force brings down labor prices and forces the local population to migrate.

However, it is difficult to understand people who can not feed even two children, and at the same time have three times more, which is again a consequence of not using contraceptives and preventing unwanted pregnancies.
1657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Sparrow wallet installation on: July 19, 2023, 01:26:13 PM
I would say that OP has a lot of bigger problems considering the protection it uses than the fact that this protection is causing him such problems. If you're already using W10 or any other version of that OS, at least buy yourself some respectable protection when it comes to AV or firewall.
1658  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: help please, i can't find my funds on: July 19, 2023, 01:03:21 PM
Today I couldn't remember my password (I tried the 6/7 that I usually use and none allowed me to access) and so I created a new wallet and entered the seeds I had saved.

What you wrote implies that you kept the password in your head, not on paper or in any other way that would very likely prevent something like this from happening to you. Although you most likely downloaded the fake wallet, there is a possibility that you have a keylogger or RAT (remote access trojan) on your computer and that your seed has been compromised in this way.

What happened? I've lost everything? Please help me

No one here can help you get back what was stolen from you, but you can try to report it to the police in your country, although for such a small amount they probably won't move a little finger. Let's put it this way, you paid for one life lesson, some would even say cheap, even though it may be a lot of money for you.

If you keep investing in BTC, try to figure out how things work first, or some other accident will await you sooner or later.
1659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: US Presidential candidate announces plan to back the US dollar with Bitcoin on: July 19, 2023, 12:38:50 PM
I'm really surprised that this news hasn't already resulted in a significant price increase because it's the presidential candidate of the most powerful country in the world Roll Eyes

Does anyone remember the last and or predecessor presidential election in the U.S. and all those candidates who played the Bitcoin card? Of course you don't remember, because they all failed completely.

If RFK happens to become president and only tries to scratch at the US dollar, the same fate as his grandfather could befall him - in that country such things are not forgiven.
1660  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is the ledger can be hackable ? on: July 19, 2023, 10:47:43 AM
~snip~
So in summary, ledger is hackable.

And not just Ledger, but most other HWs that operate on the same principle, and especially if they start acting like Ledger in a rather strange and irresponsible way. In fact, for years since the massive data leak from this company happened, trust has been lost, and if you do not have confidence in someone or something, it becomes completely irrelevant whether something can be hacked or not.

I will not say that there are no HW that do not have really high standards at the moment, but I think that in the future we should refrain from recommendations when it comes to such devices. A properly made airgapped wallet is something I would still put in the first place when it comes to safe storage of private keys.
