1661  Economy / Economics / Re: What define your success, "money, fame or achievement"? on: September 17, 2022, 10:26:24 AM
You can never tell a person is successful when he has all the riches and fame, simply because not everyone has the same thinking and life’s goals. For all we know, success does not matter until we hit our life’s satisfaction. But the sad reality is no one gets satisfaction in life no matter how successful he is. I think that’s a human nature, but as long as we chose to be more happy and grateful in all our achievements, that what matters the most.
It is a human nature, indeed. In fact, we, humans, have evolved to be like this.

When I was a little kid, my life goal was to surround myself with chocolate and eat it all the time. I thought I didn't need anything else. Fast-forward to a grown-up man who can actually afford that kind of living, but it turns out that he needs much more than that. ... We are never fully satisfied, and it's a good thing. That's why we have progress, the constant improvement of the world around us.
I disagree with this, I have a family elder that I know, he is my mother's uncle and he is very old now, but I remember him when he was 70 years old and stories about him were told many times before. He used to own a fish restaurant, he would catch the fish early in the morning at 4-5 am, and then would go to restaurant at around 9-10 am, and start preparing for the dinner, people would come and eat the fish he caught that day.

He did this from around his 30's to until his 60's, the place he owned became more and more modern and someone paid him millions of dollars in the 90's, or early 2000 times, and he sold it and retired and he took up painting and just lived a happy life without wanting more. So, there are people who do not want more.

My father could be considered one of them too, he worked as an employee of a logistic company for 32 years, and then retired at age of 55 and just watches TV and sleeps and drinks coffee and reads the newspaper and watches reality tv shows all night and I haven't seen anyone happier than him. So, not everyone wants millions or wealth or non-stop riches to satisfy their needs.
1662  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the Mt. Gox coins affect Bitcoin’s price in August? on: September 16, 2022, 11:48:18 AM
Honestly people are overreacting to it for sure. In the end we had many bad news on bitcoin before, it happened during 2018 as well, same mt.gox news and it dropped but what happened?

We moved to 68k in 2021 so we shouldn't worry about these, we should be considering these as a normal thing that happens in bitcoin and not an unusual thing. That's my personal opinion of course, but people are making decisions based on news is a wrong thing if you ask me, because fundamental is still strong, a gold covered in dirt is still gold and it will still have the same value, you just have to wait until you wash it before you can sell it but it will be still valuable anyway.
1663  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Huge Down from ATHs. what will happen the next ? on: September 15, 2022, 09:04:24 PM
Litecoin is still far down from its ATH . Which is much more compared to other coins . So investing in Litecoin for long-term holding would be a very smart move. And for long-term investments, it wouldn't be bad if Litecoin is listed now along with Bitcoin, Ethereum. Investing in Litecoin will be as profitable as safe long-term . So I'm thinking now to save some litecoin for future
That is the point, Litecoin doesn't go down to nothing, it stays and as long as it keeps on staying at these levels on ranking, the price will keep on rising more and more. People may not understand whats so special about it since there are better blockchains invented, but bitcoin has been pretty similar to how it started out and it is still number one.

So, what matters is not the tech (of course that matters too) but more about consistency and Litecoin has been profitable for us for so long that I doubt people would really mind if it started to go up, people would probably say they expected such a thing and buying now and waiting for a very long time could yield such a huge profit.
1664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 12, 2022, 06:38:29 PM
Empoli consistently draw with any team, strong Verona, Salernitana or Fiorentina... I think Roma are one of those teams, maybe a little stronger... The odds for Roma to win looks interesting - 1.74, but the fact that both teams will score is even more interesting - 1.9... I think the second option is more likely today...
In this match, it is likely that Empoli will still do the same by maximizing their draw but on the other hand, of course, Roma will now be putting pressure on them because they will definitely maximize this because they still want to win to break into the top 4.
But indeed Roma's productivity problem has always been their problem in the few matches they missed so I think this match will be a slim win for them again.
Empoli could try to do whatever they want but in the end we are going to see Roma win, they are the much better team. I know that people are not really joyful to see underdogs get punished all that much, but I can see a score like 4-0 or so happening today. I wagered 2.5+ goals for the total score, and I am guessing that it is going to happen for sure.

Maybe I am wrong on the total goals for the game but I am pretty confident about the fact that Roma will be easily beating Empoli, they can't just stick to defence and hope to not get scored on, that tactic may work on smaller level clubs but Roma is a big club and it is not going to ned up being realistic for them to do it to Roma as well.
1665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 10, 2022, 09:28:44 PM
The era for mourinho has gone and he was the same like another ordinary coach for the football club right now. There's no a huge achievement like what he did in the past but expecting him to make the club has worst performance is not a good thing as well.
It is true, he is not a special one anymore. He already stated it, he is just an average coach.
However, we cannot avoid the fact that he is still a professional coach, has charismatic, and has good potential to win titles. He shows it in AS Roma now, he builds this team very well. He even can lead AS Roma to win the title of UEFA Europa Conference League for the first time. He proves that he is still a great coach. I think it is also a huge achievement, don't call it as a small achievement.
Yeah, he has so many experience and it can't be argued but the thing is getting change as this time so many teams become even stronger. I hope that as roma can become very strong opponent for another big club in seria a under him.
As roma has been showing a good performance during all of matches on seria a.
He "may" not be the special one anymore, but he started the whole "talk about the manager and not the players" stuff back in the day with pep. If we are talking about managers this much instead of just players, then it was mourinho vs pepe battle that we had, sure we talked about Ronaldo more than we talked about Mourinho, but that dude was probably 2nd or 3rd most talked about person in that club for that time, same goes for pep of course behind messi and xavi/iniesta combo.

Hence, I do not think that it really matters that much how he is, because he has the recipe for it, and he could still take a team to success, all he needs is more time than he used to need, but results would be the same.
1666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Queen Elizabeth and Cryptocurrency on: September 10, 2022, 04:58:42 AM
Even the investors of these projects are aware that these are scam projects, but they believe they are smarter than everyone else. This means if they get in very quickly and then they get out before it goes down then they could make money.

To be fair, some really do that, they get in before anyone else and they get out before anyone else as well. This allows people to have a good return on their investment but I can't really say that they are not dealing a good amount of risk when they are doing this. This is why it is much better if we are dealing with known and big name projects instead of taking a risk with these silly stuff and be first and quick.
1667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: September 09, 2022, 09:09:10 PM
Every great Champion we had in F1 before was also accompanied from a huge amount of luck because without it no matter how brave you are and how skillful you are you cannot win consecutive Championships in a sport like this.Based on this I think the time of Hamilton has finally ended and we are witnessing the time of a new Champion, that of Verstappen which also had a huge dose of luck in the last GP of last season which netted him the Champion title.
We need some competition from any team to him as only Ferrari is not enough,we need McLaren back and some other teams also including Mercedes.
I agree that luck plays a role, but you can't win a championship back to back with just luck, you need to be talented of course, but you also need a great team and a great car. When you have all those three, even if you get unlucky here and there, you will still end up winning. Of course it is better to be lucky than unlucky, but that doesn't mean that you should be focusing purely on luck neither, you should be focusing on how you could turn it around.

I personally do not think that neither Max nor Lewis were lucky, they both had great cars when they won and Max will keep on winning more and that will show how great he is and not just lucky.
1668  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 Bitcoin, Not for everyone. on: September 08, 2022, 10:25:39 PM
I am pretty sure that we are going to end up seeing a lot of changes in the bitcoin accumulation by people eventually. People buy it to get rich these days, but people will eventually realize that they shouldn't buy it to get rich, they should buy it to hold it for long, even too long.

I personally feel like if I can do the right thing, then I could hold it until I die and pass it to my child one day, if I ever have a kid. That way it would be possible for them to have a much better life. I am doing alright, I do not need wealth to be happy, I am happy without wealth, but providing wealth to my kids would be something I would be super happy about.
1669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 06, 2022, 12:32:31 PM
The key in this is chemistry.
Currently in the EPL Chelsea are one of the clubs that have changed their squad the most so it will be very difficult for those who in fact are new players to immediately fit into the attack so it takes time to build chemistry and adaptation here, I think this is possible need a few more matches because indeed the longer they will understand each other's game more and more.
The team? Hell they even changed the owner ffs. They are having trouble because even though they are still a good team, they literally changed the whole team and that is going to hurt them a lot. I personally would love to have a situation where it is going to be a trouble for them unless they can get used to playing with each other.

I do not know what to say to make it work, but that is not my job neither, sometimes we have our own advises as fans, like "ronaldo should practice more aim" was a real thing when he was a younger player, and he did, and he is good. But I have no idea how they can bond Chelsea now and be a better team with high chemistry.

You know what was the most amazing thing ever, nobody made a mistake during Q2, everyone did their real best, and we got a 15 car list with only 1 second difference between fastest and slowest. I mean not like this never happens, of course it happens, but that usually means nobody made mistakes and everyone gave their %100 and that is unfortunately rare.

Some may disagree, but I have seen weekends where people failed to race during Q2 for car reasons, people who crashed out, people who had spins or even people who went out of tracks by a milimeter and not have their run counted, there are millions reasons why it may be a fail and sometimes it happens few times in a row.

This week, we have q3 with 2.2 seconds difference by 10th tsunoda, 1.1 by mick schumacher and no time by stroll. So, it does happen and happened even during the same qualifying which means that Q2 was unbelievably good to watch.
1671  Economy / Economics / Re: Germans are looking to firewood for energy as natural gas prices soar on: September 03, 2022, 06:09:31 PM
The alternative is anything that can help you warm up during the winter, or to cook something to eat if you have no other source of heat. There is a type of tree that grows very fast and I know it has spread a lot in Europe in the last 10-15 years - and it takes about 3-4 years to grow a tree for cultivation. The ash produced by burning wood is a good fertilizer, and it can also be used as a protection against snails if it is sprinkled around the plant. Today, it is also possible to buy smoke filters that significantly reduce pollution - so everything is not as black as many think.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paulownia
The interesting is that people are not realizing "why" firewood is used right now as alternative and why it is a good thing. The real deal is that Germans realized long time ago Russians can't be trusted and Putin is the evil person in the world today, history always had those evil people, maybe Putin is not as bad as Hitler, but certainly the worst for the world today.

So instead of gas, oil, petrol whatever that you can get from Russia, they would use firewood, but not forever neither. Even though as you mentioned it is not as bad as people imagine, it is still not a forever thing, Europe is trying to build self-energy sustainable ways and when that happens, firewood will slowly fade out again.

Kimi was racing in F1 just recently, he quit it last season, I do not think that you lose being a great driver in that many months. If you think he was a good driver last season, then he would be a good driver this season. Of course there is a difference between the cars in this situation but that doesn't mean that he would be a bad one.

I am not expecting him to just come in and destroy everyone and be great, but he would still be not terrible at all. Give Kimi Ferrari car today, and he would probably get close to a title run even in F1 at his age. He just felt like he doesn't want to anymore and that's why he quit, and wasn't even the first time he retired neither.

Jesus Christ, Bayern is getting insane, a dominance that I haven't seen in a long long time in football. They won 3 out of 3, and they scored 15 and conceded just 1. That's 5 goals per game averages so far. I am not saying that they will continue like this, but if they ever try to, that's about 170 goals a season, 170!!! Of course they won't but not like they look as if they can't, it's just that after a while it must get boring and stop and try some younger kids etc etc when you already are the champions.

I would say they are already the champions after three games to be fair, we knew they would be even before the season started let alone after 3 games honestly.
1675  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: August 12, 2022, 09:24:32 PM
I %100 agree. Something as huge as Stake can't survive with just moderators and hope that they would ban the things that are irrelevant, in fact it could be following the rules of the forum but it would be terrible for us all. I prefer that it would be better if they switch to self-moderated. I believe it won't be that hard neither, just start another topic and you are good to go. Don't know if self-moderated ones are allowed in gambling though, if not then tough luck. There are sections you can't do that, so maybe this is one of them, auction doesn't allow you for example. All in all, I guess if they restart the topic, the lost pages wouldn't mean a thing at all, and they could get 100+ pages inside a year all over again.
Thats not the way to go. Unwanted feedback getting deleted is like China and Russia tactics.

Useless posts can always be reported and thats how it's supposed to be.

Anything else and we only have the sig campaign people posting here how great stake is supposed to be.
Really? China and Russia? Go ahead and check what peter054 wrote, he just wrote "big scam" in red big style and that's it, nothing more. So you think that if they managed to somehow delete that, it would be like China or Russia? I do not think that it means what you think it means. If people came in here and wrote something that is decent then it would work ,and if they had no other place to go then I would suggest that's right.

But if they write something logical here, and also start a scam accusation topic, then it all works for everyone right? What I am against is the fact that he just came in here and wrote "big scam" and left, that's it, annoyed people and left, that shouldn't be okay.
1676  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: August 11, 2022, 05:18:16 PM
They probably banned you from reddit for posting the same thing over and over and intentionally being annoying like you're doing here.
Self-moderated topics. That's what casinos need, and I get that there could be some scam ones like 1xbit which would use it for bad reasons and to keep on scamming people, but when you open a scam accusation and a trust warning, they will have that risk carried into their topic as well.

In this case, we would be able to say that if Stake had a self-moderated topic, they could have simply just focus on the good parts, and people who are annoying like him would get their messages deleted. But I also do understand keeping them as well, it allows the people to see how we think they are annoying and side with Stake, and that works out well for Stake in the long run.
1677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 02, 2022, 08:28:52 PM
We agree on that , but do you think Nunez is the top scorer candidate this season? after seeing his contribution in the last 2 matches
Nunez looks one step ahead and I haven't seen another striker dominate at least in pre-season. I think it would be interesting if there was a gambling market providing bets for this.
Darwin Nunez still have a long way to go in the league but he's gonna build up to oppose other players already before him in the premier league. Darwin Nunez have made quite a brilliant performance in the preseason games but the big question is, can he do better in the Premier league? Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool have no doubts that he's definitely going to outshine other players after scoring an hattrick in one of their preseason game and netting a goal against Manchester city in community shield final.
Of course it is going to take a while but he proved that he is not unworthy of giving a shot and that's all that matters. Many players came and went from Liverpool since Klopp has been the manager and the ones that stayed showed great effort on their early days, and the ones that failed ended up not just being good or bad in training, but they actually did something that would be great in the games itself as well and understood the role he gave them.

If Nunez manages to understand his role and doesn't try to showboat or do something stupid, he will have a place here for many years, because he is young and he is talented and all he needs is to listen to his manager.
1678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 24, 2022, 09:18:42 PM
Bayern Munich must have been relieved after signing Sadio Mane from Liverpool. They completed this deal for a really acceptable amount of money at the same time. They are going to pay nearly the half of his market value at Liverpool. Sadio Mane is a rival for Leroy Sane on the left wing now. Sane has been showing a very good performance so Mane is going to need to fight hard to capture the starting eleven spot from him. Bayern Munich must be thinking of Mane in the starting eleven without any doubt. Mane can even play as a centre-forward too and this can help Bayern Munich a lot in case Lewandowski leaves.
Bayern coach can think of other options to keep Mane in the starting line-up because Sadio Mane can also play as a center forward or on the left or right wing, I have no doubt that Mane will be in the starting eleven, his quality is very good.
I think Bayern's forward line will be terrible next season if they are able to keep Lewanadowsi.
Nagelsmann is a great manager who has risen above the staff world very quickly and became the coach of Bayern at an early age. If he is good enough to be worthy of this honor at an early age, he certainly knows a way or two to make Mane stick with the current system of the team.

It's not going to be easy, they have coman, gnabry, sane, müller, lewandowski at the front and that means they are going to add mane to that and ryan to that as well, which will be a bit of a problem for them. Sure you can play Ryan from bench because he is young and he is the future, he could replace Müller here and there time to time, but who will Mane replace? I still think they have a problem with Lewa who wants to leave, and Mane is replacement for him.

Interesting to see the majority of the people saying that it would drop under 27k range. I mean it is not impossible, but that doesn't look like the momentum at all. It looks like there is a good case to be made about the current situation being fine for many people since they are not selling.

If we have been around 30k range for a month, what would happen to make it go down that much? Does that make sense to anyone at all? I would get it if we were still going down, that would make sense. But at this point, what could be the reason when we are already recovering of sorts, I mean 26k to 30k+ range at least, not much but why would we start to go down again?
