1661  Economy / Economics / Re: How much is a chicken in BTC in your place? on: February 03, 2013, 03:37:48 PM
localbitcoins should add an option to offer products (e.g. chicken) & services.

Pro-tip: Invest in a big solar panel instead of mining and buy the Bitcoins with the money you make  Wink

is it real:
satoshidice.blogspot.com
or just another private wallet?

> 100% returns? Are you really asking if this is real? If it was real everyone would use it :p
1664  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info JSON-RPC API down. on: February 01, 2013, 04:36:39 PM
500 internal server on anything (getinfo, listtransactions, gettransaction, etc) with correct logins. Tested on multiple servers, guids, and other sites using the json-rpc API seems down too.

Confirmed. And it's still down.

If you guys ever find a bank with good behaviour - it's not a bank.
1666  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do you think we are in the bubble? on: January 31, 2013, 04:39:42 PM
-Bernanke doubled down on money printing last December
-the block reward dropped to 25 BTC per coin

The value of coins was ~11-12 USD in December - based on that we'll need to get to ~$40 before a new bubble even starts.

Will you continue using Bitcoin if a evil governement/organisation start using Bitcoin to finance their activities
Yes    - 54 (91.5%)
No    - 1 (1.7%)
Maybe - 4 (6.8%)

Total Voters: 59

Just changed my vote to "No", because I don't know what a "governement" is, but it sounds scary.

While the US probably has killed more then Al Quaida and Iran, your infographic has many lies in it.  Iran attacked Iraq is the easiest but there are many others.

I follow chmod755 on identi.ca and on Jan 10th 2011 I saw this post:

  http://identi.ca/notice/61926764

and thought "Bitcoin?  What's that?".

I signed up here the next day.

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? I heard about it after reading this guys' messages: http://identi.ca/hook (see blog post here: http://matija.suklje.name/accepting-bitcoin-now)

Also eher 2 * 0,58263 = 1,16526 BTC zurück bei €43,85. Falls ich falsch liegen sollte werden die wohl bald einige Bestellungen bekommen  Cheesy
1673  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will bitcoins provide a way to prevent government confiscation of wealth? on: January 30, 2013, 06:33:54 AM
Bitcoins? What bitcoins?  Tongue

would be funny if that was your brainwallet for when they asked you your passphrase.

+1... or something like : "My wallet is empty and I don't even remember my passphrase"  Cheesy

At least the website clearly tells you how it works. Also: 65.09 BTC for this gem, wtf seriously?
1675  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Owner of ClassyCams (just incorporated Bitcoins on our site) on: January 24, 2013, 10:15:08 PM
I asked him for guidance on getting the word out to the Bitcoin community that we started accepting Bitcoins through Bitpay on http://classycams.com/

Great idea. bitcointalk.org has a lot of members. I think it's not allowed to add adult websites to the bitcoin.it Wiki, but I'm not sure about that. Also: there are some advertising platforms like anonymousads.com or operationfabulous.com, but they only have a few advertisers so it should be relatively cheap to get the word out compared to normal advertising.

I'm here to answer any questions and help where I can.

Would you pay models or affiliates in Bitcoin if they want you to pay in Bitcoin?

Edit: Maybe you could add a feature to get to the cams without email registration where you just pay via bit-pay, accept the ToS and join in?

I wonder if this is related (not sure if this was a massive scam or not): http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/technology/willardfoxton2/100008731/crisis-on-the-silk-road-if-you-cant-trust-britains-biggest-online-drug-dealer-who-can-you-trust/

Someone in here said $19 is a good bet - looks like "the manipulator" is actually reading this.

13.5 + 52 = 65.5 by year end
I wouldn't be surpriced.

Bitcoin was up 288% in 2012 which means a target price of $50 in 2013 is achievable.

Repeat after me: Past performance does not guarantee future results.

Repeat after me: I took this quote out of context.

Repeat after me: I can double my bitcoin by playing S.DICE

Repeat after me: I can lose all my bitcoin by playing S.DICE

Repeat after me: Repeat after me
Repeat after me: I need to quote this for no reason

Repeat after me: have to stop to smoke ganja
Repeat after me: I'm wasting my precious time in pointless stuff.

Don't repeat after me
