I have the correct IP, the www isn't working but it's hashing.
SSH won't connect either.
Perhaps I'll do a factory reset.  I have always had trouble with this 1 unit, it likes to go drop down to 80 from 180 sometimes.
If I can log in and reboot, using the www or ssh, I'll get x's.  Only way to clear that is to power off the PSU and power on again.
Then I can log in, sometimes.

You might have a faulty controller board.
1662  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: November 25, 2014, 06:59:41 PM
This may be a bit off topic, but is it possible to run 4 boards instead of 2 from the original S1 control board?
Yep it IS possible, and BITMAIN have said as much. However, the max is exactly that too, aka 4 boards.
Wicked, I have 2 units, 1 won't let me log in via www anymore, but it's still hashing if power cycle it.
Any links to this mod?

First, make sure your trying to connect to right IP (maybe it's on the DHCP ?) Use a network sniffer to make sure you attempting to connect the right IP.

If your problem is a login one, reset it and reconfigure.

If the unit is still hashing it means everything is fine with the controller board / firmwave.

Sent ya a pm, never got back to me.

I talked to him around 0:00 eastern time yesterday, I guess he busy at the moment.

I was trying to get a deal on some S1 boards but the shipping to Canada is always a problem ...

Ive updated the git repo with support for cp2108 (since i dont have anything to test with, its experimental) ;-p

Nicehash has done upgrade https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=850620.msg9621985#msg9621985 solving #xnsub issue You have pointed to. Would You update bmsc git repo?

im at sea at the moment, but will update as soon as i have a moment for it

Most of the poeple doesn't realized that we  can communicate from anywhere on the world. Even on a boat!! Cheesy I don't know if you can't tell us were you are but i would like to know, just for the fun of it Tongue

Godspeed :-)

EDIT : Got it, it's my old BFL running on BFGMiner Wink

Anything I can do to make my CGminer ignore my BFL ?
use --hotplug 0 then cgminer wont try to find new devices all the time

regarding driver, i just tried different ones, until i found it :-p also make sure you install zadig driver for each cp2102s you have connected

Yeah i use it for both cp2102 - winusb driver

Thanks for --hotplug 0 ;-)

So I rebooted my pc 2 times and now both card are working. I got one of the two that have some "invalid nonce - HW error" once in a while, I wonder why. I will take a look at the voltage again to see if anything is wrong

Two boards running good since the last 12 hours. Adjusted my air flow to cooldown then down. I think they were overheating a bit. I'm waiting for some heatsink. steady 98.xx gh/s

1669  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: November 22, 2014, 09:03:25 AM
Thanks !

I will try to get one at least to test my boards !

pekatete , it would be great if you could share me your cgminer !
I was able to compile cgminer 4.7.0 for and under windows using MinGW but not able to run it without significant errors (and at times it would not detect the board!). It therefore is not a binary that would be useful for sharing, and seeing the pre-compiled version 3.8.5 for windows reconises both the CP210x (as AMU / LIX / etc) and the PL230x (as ICA and ... ?), you would be better off getting that one, available here: https://github.com/AntMiner/AntGen1/blob/master/cgminer/cgminer-run-windows-20131224.zip?raw=true

PS. You may need to change over the TX / RX connectors on some of the modules as the lines can be twisted!

but, on the other hand we might be able to verify either:

1. problem with source

2. problem with windows

3. problem with specific setup

so it might be a good idea to get them tested on another windows machine..

just my 2 cents :-p
The source is the same source as that is available on github for version 4.7.0 so anyone an get that. The changes to source that I documented earlier in this thread are deprecated since I abandoned the --include-icarus flag, however, should anyone wnt to include the icarus driver, then the error messages from the compiler are quite instructive. Also, compiling is quite easy, you just need to install MinGW (which is also free and opensource!). It can be tedious to setup MinGW but not impossible.

However, if even after that someone still wants to get a hold of the binary I compiled and / or the code i used to compile it, just point me to where you'd like me to upload it and its yours!

PS. I did mention earlier in the thread that I was working on something else, more specifically a windows driver. I can update the thread to the effect that I have actually gone to ground to write a windows miner that uses COM ports. I am working on the initialisation of the S1 board and work division in the code, and when I have some extra time off, I'll be looking to finishing it off and showcasing it! For me, that represented a better alternative than trying to wrestle the generic cgminer code targeting multiple rigs and written in a foreign language (C++!)

allright thanks, i will try to compile mine Wink

I will take ChaosItec git cgminer code and give it a try with MinGW.

compiled windows version:

download here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/v6o5o9jvvwc1hjs/cgminer.zip?dl=0

remember to install zadig drivers: http://zadig.akeo.ie/

thanks you so much ! Smiley

the problem in windows is a driver issue.. im no windows guru, im mostly a linux guy, so your on your own on that part

Looks all good on your screenshot ?

i get problems with the winusb driver with 2 or more boards..

edit: FIXED

its a conflict with another driver/device installed, in this case, it was the sdcard slot, i uninstalled the driver, and now it works

I'm kind of stock with the same problem, only card got found ... for the other one i got

[2014-11-22 04:02:35] Bmsc send golden nonce
[2014-11-22 04:02:36] Bmsc recv golden nonce timeout

[2014-11-22 04:02:37] Bmsc send golden nonce

Offering 8-10$ for each Antminer S1 board

Looking to buy 4 to 8 boards in Canada (US/International shipping is kind of too high, unless you want to sell the board really cheap)

If you have the controller board, it would be nice but I'm fine without it.

Shipping to Montreal, Canada.

PM me Smiley

Damm ! Already received my Cp2102 but I haven't remove the resistance and installed my potentiometer on my boards yet ! It's kind of tricky, i'm use to soldering and even my co-woker who are good to it find this manipulation tricky Tongue

tomorrow, I will try Wink

EDIT: I just saw a photo where they don't remove the resistance ? Good idea or bad ?

Quick question for you Doc !

I have an old BFL miner that I keep running (it's winter here) and I set the min Diff to 32 on the worker, but when it start to mine on the pool, it always start with a diff of 16 before it stabilize to 32 just after like 30 sec.

Bug or normal ?
1676  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [DIY] - Reward $100 | Antminer S1/S3 Blade on Raspberry Pi on: November 15, 2014, 10:42:57 PM
can be changed at any low esr)The larger the capacity is better,I changed for 1500mF 6.3v-working fine.

blades 2013- 680 mkF soldered, 2014-470mkf possible on newer become quite save.Blade will work with any capacity, for example from the old motherboard or power supply.

Allright after futher talking with co-worker at my job. The capacitor on the board is a Tatalum 107A.

100uF 10Volt, it is not the same as the one on the schema. I guess I have an older rev of the board.

It's strange mine are 2013/12/16 and I have 100uf 10v on them. Taltalum 107 A

I don't understand how it can be a diff voltage ... make no sense ?

Any of you have a dead board ? I need the a capacitor like the on at C17. (we got of them per board) One of mine is broken at C415.

Any place I could by one ?

all small capacitors around the chip is a 100nf

i could buy this one ? Even if it's not the same model ?
