1701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: February 10, 2023, 07:16:43 AM
Al Wehda is not one of the strongest teams in the Saudi Professional League. But the performance from Cristiano Ronaldo yesterday would have silenced his critics, who were vocal about his poor form in the initial matches.
I basically do not understand it when people give Ronaldo some stick for a little dip in form, it is like the media is always ready to drag his name in mud at every slight chance. I mean, this is a player that has scored over 500 club League goals, you should know that even if he has a minor dip, he is definitely going to bounce back strongly, which he did with his new club Al-Nassr yesterday.

Having said that, whilst i miss watching Ronaldo in Europe, i am quite happy he is now enjoying life in Saudi Arabia, even though i love the Portuguese superstar so much, his happiness is paramount, and he was facing quite a lot of disrespect in Europe (Manchester United), thus since this move brings him well deserved happiness and respect, then i love it. Ronaldo is going to score many more goals and hopefully Al-Nassr wins many titles for the period he plays for them.
1702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 09, 2023, 04:10:39 PM
Liverpool and Chelsea find themselves in rather precarious positions right now, but everything is possible. I think we should watch how they do in their next game before making any judgments.
Users aren't just making judgements about Liverpool and Chelsea, their performances of late have been pretty bad and honestly one cannot even predict the position they will find themselves come the end of the season. Whilst i don't think it is possible for them to finish in the bottom half of the table, i think it is highly improbable that they are going to make top four in the EPL. Maybe at best a Europa League or a Europa Conference League spot, but then again one can ask if it isn't better they completely miss out on European football for next season and concentrate on the EPL, than to qualify for the Europa League or Europa Conference League.
1703  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Our niaja next president on: February 09, 2023, 12:10:10 PM
We no go fit speak for everybody, as i they so, i they support Peter Obi because i believe say na im go fit work well so this country go move forward, but just because i believe in that no mean say Mr B or Mr C share the same ideology with me. Naija na country with different ethnic groups, religion, beliefs, etc, so all of us no fit think in the same way and you no fit force person, that is why we they practice democracy.

Having said that, make everybody support their own candidate and vote for him, then allow INEC to do their own job, it is a very pivotal moment for Nigeria, and i hope say Peter Obi go emerge victorious, but the only thing i can do is to cast my vote for him and hope that majority of Nigerians do so.
1704  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do we have mentors assign to you in this forum as your guiders? on: February 09, 2023, 10:46:07 AM
The idea of mentorship isn't all that appreciated here, Bitcoin is a do it yourself kinda network, thus the forum is along that same line. Well everything has been made pretty easy, all you need do is search and research and you will find whatsoever you are looking for, then you can read it and garner knowledge. In any aspect you need clarification on, you basically make a new post about it, and users will help you out, there is absolutely no need for any individual mentor or coach.

Having said that, you've brought yourself out as a noob, so be careful of PM's from anybody offering to be your mentor, it might just be a scam, remember you have a responsibility to learn how to protect yourself/your funds.
1705  Other / Meta / Re: Request: New Local Board for Pakistan (Urdu) on: February 09, 2023, 10:09:37 AM

We are still waiting for the response from the management. One day they will realize and will announce for the local board for the Pakistan community.
I am quite optimistic for you guys, and i am pretty sure you'd get you own local board, it might take awhile for sure, but the more you get in the faces of the administrators as to why you guys deserve your local board, the sooner it would come. My local community had to wait a very long time before we got ours, and from the looks of things, i perceive you guys would be next. I understand how difficult it is to communicate effectively in a local thread, but a local board ensures things are very organized and discussions go on smoothly. I wish you guys all the best of luck in your quest, quite a lot of users supported us when we were asking for ours, thus you guys have my full support in this. Cheers.
1706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 08, 2023, 07:22:38 PM
Match between manchester United and Leeds will be and interesting game because anytime the two teams meet at this point the host side always triumph over the visiting team, judging with Manchester United recent form this match will be a work over for them but the away side is expected to score because of their attacking force.
Leeds fired their manager Jesse Marsch a couple of days ago, i think firing Jesse so close to this crunching encounter isn't going to help the team in their quest to beat Manchester United, they would feel like a team in disarray at the moment, and imo it is going to be pretty easy for Manchester United to pick them apart. I don't know who is going to be in the dugout for Leeds tonight, maybe their assistant coach or something, but i don't think he would be able to rally the boys to something special at Old Trafford tonight.

Having said that, i can understand the decision to show Jesse the door (i mean, Leeds are 17th in the EPL standings), but i think (and i heard some pundits say the same too) they would have waited for this game to come and go first, anyway we'll see what happens tonight.
1707  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we experience $80k this year? on: February 08, 2023, 05:20:13 PM
The price of BTC just drop down to $22k few days ago, which is another opportunity for those that missed last year not to invest in a stable coins to do it now because, the price of BTC will surely reach $80k before the end of this year 2023.
Bitcoin is not a stablecoin, it isn't pegged to any other currency or commodity, in case you do not quite understand the difference, a good example of a stablecoin is USDT, you can research about it to know how they work and the difference between them and Bitcoin.

Having said that, as for if Bitcoin can touch 80k this year, i'd say no, it doesn't mean i can't be wrong, i just don't think Bitcoin can get to that price when we are yet to experience the next Bitcoin halving. Bitcoin is a long term coin and it'd definitely get to that price, but since nobody can be sure of when, all one can do is continue to accumulate for now.
1708  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigerians are the cause our problem on: February 08, 2023, 01:19:29 PM
2018 /2019 = coronaviru
Covid na global palava wey affect the entire world na, that one no concern Najja government, no be like say na from Naija wey the virus start sev, and even if i they criticize Naija government wella when them fuck up, me i think say them handle the palava of covid well well.

The problem with this scarcity of Naira so ehn, no be say the policy bad like that oh, but how you go wan implement policy, you no come plan everything well so the transition go they so sweet and smooth. Naija matter tire me i swear, no accurate planning at all, sometimes i no know if our oga's at the top they take decisions without thinking. If to say this transition waka smoothly and Nigerians no come they suffer like this, i no sure say anybody go they complain. The matter of fuel scarcity and other problems so ehn, na just corruption be the cause of all of them, and na our PVC be the weapon wey we go take change bad government for this country, so make we use am wisely.
1709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: February 08, 2023, 12:39:34 PM
Right now, Klopp is doing his best for changing fortune, but things are not working in his favour but good thing happening Liverpool management is giving him good time which is positive as he still capable of changing things in team's favour even this season is going to be nightmare for them, but hopefully they will have positive change at the end.
Of course what would you expect, Liverpool isn't really a club that hardly flinches before firing a manager, and Jurgen Klopp has also engineered quite a lot of success for the club in recent years, he was the manager who broke their decades long wait for a premier league title, thus it is only reasonable that the club give him more time in this difficult situation.

Having said that, i can't see any good fortunes coming for Liverpool this season, i think they can't wait for the summer to come pretty quickly so they could sign some new players, the club looks desperately in need of fresh legs. With the way Liverpool are playing i don't think they stand any chance against Real Madrid in the CL RO16, i would put my money on Real Madrid having a field day against them and advancing to the QF.
1710  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is Wasting? on: February 08, 2023, 10:51:19 AM
Saving only sounds like a waste to a couple of people because there are no chances of your money appreciating, and it could as well depreciate depending on how strong or weak the currency you are saving is.

Well, imo i'd say you should work according to your risk appetite, because there is practically risk in everything. Saving might carry a lower risk anyway, because you could basically just leave your money in tbe bank and earn tiny interest on it every year; the only risk with that method is the effects of inflation. Whilst investments are quite risky, though some are more risky that the other; if you are to buy Bitcoin as an investment for example, you'd have to learn what the risk concerns are, and how to imbibe the responsibility of being your own bank so you don't lose your coins to scammers or sheer negligence, but if you can do things right you stand the chance of earning a very good ROI in the long term.

It is your future, and only you can decide, you just have to look at the pros and cons of it all. Better still you can split your money and invest some, whilst you save some.
1711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 07, 2023, 12:10:44 PM
Aubameyang's career is over, the Aubameyang I used to watch in Arsenal is far from the Aubameyang in blue jersey. This has become a tragic story and to add salt to wound Chelsea taken him off the Champions league. At this point, he may be tempted to just retire and hang his boots to avoid further humiliation in the future.
Well, that could be an option, the Gabonese superstar is currently enduring the lowest point in his career and i can imagine what would be going through his head on what's next for him going forward in his career, he seems to be completely off Graham Potter's plans, and there is a possibility that he wouldn't play a single match again for Chelsea, that is utterly humilating. Aubameyang is just 33 years of age right now, so it is somewhat still early for him to retire from the game, but i think his time is up at the elite level, there are rumors of him moving the the MLS and stuff like that, that seems to be the best option for him right now, a move to a less competitive league, maybe even to Saudi Arabia.
1712  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Decision of one governor can influence others for February presidential election on: February 07, 2023, 12:48:52 AM
Wetin i know be say Wike just they do all these things to hamper Atiku's chances of becoming president, immediately after the primaries wey Wike lose, he no they happy with the result since then, as e believe say the candidacy suppose come the south, but PDP still manage give am to a Northern man wey be Atiku. Wike and him G-5 governor friends no fit decide who go be president, and i no think say them don even talk say na wetin them go do, wetin Wike been they do since na to carry Nigerians they play, say e go soon decide who him they support for this presidential election, small time e comot talk say e no go make that declaration for public again. Wike just want make Atiku sweat, and e they somehow bring disunity into PDP ahead of the elections.

Having said that, make nobody deceive you say e get power to decide who go be presido, na me and you wey be the electorate so na im go decide who go be president, na out PVC get that power, so make we no sell our votes, but make we come out that day, vote for the candidate of our choice.
1713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 06, 2023, 11:59:17 PM
I agree, I don't think that Chelsea would target Osimhen when they already have Nkunku, even Osimhen wouldn't want to be played from game to game and get replaced in the middle of the match all the time, he might want to join a club where he is the main striker and play most 90 minutes.
Victor Osimhen should cost around 100 million pounds in the summer, that is definitely not an amount Chelsea can spend in this forthcoming summer transfer window, not that they can't afford it, but because of the amount of money they've already spent in the last two transfer windows. As a result of that they might have to take things pretty slow in the summer, except they are going to sell some players for good money, thus they can they balance their books. I'm pretty sure they would be looking at the charges leveled against City today, and they'll want to make sure that it doesn't get to them in the future.
1714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 06, 2023, 08:18:09 PM
I honestly don't think any other team is going to win the English Premier League title this season other than Arsenal. Manchester City is too engaged in the Champions League. And the other teams are just not close enough to Arsenal to give them consistent pressure for the title. I feel like Arsenal is going to win the title this time. Unless of course Arsenal starts losing and Manchester City start winning. I am not saying that cannot happen. That obviously can happen, but that is more possible than probable Smiley.
Manchester City's problem isn't that they are engaged in the CL, the CL group stage was over a very long time ago, City didn't even have a great CL group stage, but notwithstanding, they have been off CL duties for many months, and the CL doesn't restart until later this month, thus i can't even make that as an excuse for City. There seems to be something wrong with City, even with Pep's team selections, leaving out key players like De Bruyne, Laporte, Diaz, Foden, etc, and even the decision to let Cancelo go, it all seems so weird. City problems have even been compounded today as they have been charged by the EPL for alleged breach of the FFP rules, this is really going to affect City's performances. It might just be that season for City, were they don't win anything.

You have been here for a very long time, but in all that time you really haven't even posted all that much in the forum, that's not talking about the content of your posts you have now, but you have to be involved in the forum (through reading, posting and contributing) to earn 100 merits, you wouldn't just post sparingly and log in one day and see you have 100 merits now. Having said that, as far as the quality of your post goes, if you stick around like i have said and frequent sections that MS and users with merits go to, you'd stand a chance to slowly but surely earn merits and move up in the ranks.
Since you've quoted me and wrote right afterwards "You could as well read the rules here to get some directives as you seem like a total newbie." I considered that you're referring to me.
Who would ever consider you a total newbie, lol Grin  Grin Huh
1716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 06, 2023, 02:37:34 PM
Thanks to Tottenham Arsenal maintains their 5 points lead.
Well, that's the biggest regret for Pep Guardiola and all of Manchester City fans, the League Leaders had already lost to Everton a day before, so it was an opportunity for City to go within two points of Arsenal. More frustration for Pep and City, and i am pretty sure they would be kicking themselves for not capitalizing on the opportunity that presented itself.

Having said that, City have been charged by the Premier League FA today for FFP reasons, and i don't know how this will affect their push to retain their premier league title, most times off the field issues like this can affect the players performances. Arsenal have the advantage at this moment, and i think they are ready to go all the way. Maybe City should prolly concentrate on winning the CL this season.
1717  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Introduction Of self as Sandra99 on: February 06, 2023, 07:11:25 AM
actually I have money for Invest  but i am confused about this crypto market
I already check history  too much Dump and Pump  i cant afford loss
If you can't afford loss, it basically means you wouldn't invest in anything at all, you wouldn't also start a business in real life, or buy a car, or start your brand, etc; nearly everything we do in life has its own form of risk, but the thing is, it is always preferable to minimize the risk involved when taking a move.

Having said that, in the crypto market it is altcoins that are pump and dump coins, and as a newbie that you are you should steer clear of them until maybe when you have the experience; but Bitcoin is great if you are prepared to hold for the long term, but it as well requires patience and understanding of the market; right now i think you should not think about investing in crypto, but garnering knowledge, once you have enough of it, your journey would be seamless.
1718  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is diversification into different coins really a good advice for Newbies? on: February 06, 2023, 06:58:12 AM
I asked because unless you have mentors who you can call up for directions or advice, as a newbie, you will likely learn from the experience of having more losses than gain, mostly when the market shifts and other factors happen.
Mind you that you mustn't have mentors/experts you can call to help you choose your investment or the coins you should throw your money on, if you want to understand crypto investments properly, you have to do it yourself, with adequate research you would get the right advice and information without needing to contact anyone who you would/might continually depend on before making any move, doing things that way could get you misled or scammed.
Sometimes diversification of investment also increase your income.
Diversification of your investment increases your income if you buy different assets (that are non-crypto), it is prolly best to basically just buy Bitcoin, and buy other assets like gold, etc.
1719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 04, 2023, 11:54:12 PM
If Napoli sells Osimhen, everyone would agree it is a mistake. Their chances of going far in their leagues will be  futile.
Well, i don't think anybody in Napoli (both the fans, players and hierarchy at the club) would want Victor Osimhen to leave for another team, but sometimes it is what it is and there is nothing you can do to block some moves from happening. It is just like Dortmund that builds up world class players and eventually sell them to other teams; it isn't as if Dortmund do not want to hold on to their players, but when a player stares at their dream club, there is nothing you can do to block it, except you want to be left with an unhappy player in your team.

Having said that, Victor Osimhen is completely committed to Napoli for now, and he is definitely set to win the highest goal scorer in the League, and the Seria A title to add to that, but afterwards the question about his future would arise. I expect quite a lot of top clubs to bid for Osimhen in the summer. I think if a club like Real Madrid should come for the Nigerian striker, i don't think he can turn them down. Napoli might struggle to hold on to their star striker in the summer.
1720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: February 04, 2023, 09:49:53 PM
Meanwhile , Chelsea are doing everything they can in order to save this season and I'm skeptical if they can save it but next one should be totally different.  Grin
Well with the number of players they've recruited in the last two transfer windows, it is expected that they perform superbly next season, but i am not still sure about that, and that's because of the manager they have, i have been critical of Graham Potter since his day 1 at Chelsea, not because he isn't a good manager (of course he did an excellent job at Brighton), but because i don't think he has that mentality to manage a big club like Chelsea, he looks properly suited for a mid-table team.

Having said that, another thing is there's still quite enough time for them to at least rescue CL football for next season, but after that disappointing and uninspiring draw against Fulham yesterday, it goes a long way to show how difficult it's going to be for them to achieve that. I wonder what it will be like for all these quality players they have, with their respective egos if they end up not being involved in Europe at all next season.
