1721  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't ever quit your job to trade crypto. on: August 16, 2022, 08:45:47 PM
~
If you can afford to leave your job to trade then do trading, on the other hand avoid trading by giving up your only source of income which you cannot afford.

In a nutshell, if you have no backup on your present income and salary, it is highly risky to take trading as your profession. There are lots of competition in the market, who are having only one thing in their mind - that is to make money. If you are not a trader by profession, then it is highly likely that you will lose money. But if you choose this path, then you have to work hard and smartly in order to succeed. An investment of time and money will be required but if you are committed to it, there are many opportunities out there for you. You will have to study the market, learn how it works and what are its patterns. If you are not ready to spend hours reading books on trading, then do not even think of becoming a trader.

@BlokBro, you have already admitted that metalcecco is your alt account. You used it to post fake positive reviews on your project and to oppose the raised flag. So why are you still arguing?

But here is a new topic we can talk about. What happened to your team? Looks like you are the only one left.

if that is the evidence proving that all those accounts are mine, sorry but I really think those are not acceptable evidence for proof. You should have proof that those accounts created them myself or that at least they come from the same IP.  [...]

Yeah, about that... there is a teeny weeny details that igeble07 --or dare I say... you?-- forgot to omit: his email info.

1725  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: What Drives Hackers?, Is it Money, Power Or Fun. on: August 14, 2022, 03:11:10 PM

There are two kind of hackers black and white hackers
~

I hope you are not talking about the color of their skin.  Cheesy

There is a variety of different subcultures within the hacker community and each has their own set of rules, ethics and values, and what is and is not allowed to be done. In addition to white hats and black hats, there are grey hats, who are technically criminals but their actions are not malicious or damaging to others. The hacker community is also split into different groups based on their skill level, from script kiddies to ellite black hats and everything in between.

I bought many tokens, the price is now much lower than the money I bought it with. Is there a possibility that the market will rise in the future?

Cryptocurrency fluctuates a lot. If you are new to this world then do not panic and remember only one thing that every investment decision leads to positive and negative consequences. So, make your decision after proper research. Altcoin investing is not easy business, and you need to be prepared to accept losses. The altcoin market can be notoriously volatile, and unless you are an expert in market analysis or you are betting on the right token or coin at the right time, there is a very good chance that your investment will fail. But if you are willing to put in the work, then it is possible to generate substantial profits, especially if you catch a rising token before it climbs too high.

Now, tell us which tokens you bought so that we can tell you if there is a chance for them to recover or not.

1730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Myths that we often hear on: August 11, 2022, 09:20:01 PM
I believe women are already involved in gambling activity since ancient times.  One example is ancient Rome, women have a special day where they can participate in gambling since they are banned in gambling engagement during regular days.

This is not exactly the best example. Apparently, the ancient Romans only allowed one day a week for gambling because they thought women were less capable of it.  Cheesy

The point I want to make here is that there is nothing unique about the fact that women gamble. And as far as I have seen, gambling isn't simply an affliction of men. It is true that more men gamble than women, at least in the US. But when it comes to online betting, for example, the gap between male and female bettors seems to be narrowing substantially.
1731  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake Google Sheets Extension - Scammed | New Update! on: August 11, 2022, 09:06:54 PM
New update!

The extension auto reinstalled itself, honestly, I don't understand what's causing its installation, but certainly it's not me. I haven't deleted its files yet, because they could possibly come in handy for other users and its declaration as a malicious extension. Could it be possible that one of them includes a script to install it without your permission?

In the past, I have come across similar extensions, but they were never as malicious. They usually hijacked control of the internal search engine and opened some suspicious websites and pop-up windows. Even after removing and resetting all Chrome settings, they persistently returned to the browser.

I am not sure that such extensions can be reinstalled by themselves. It seems to me that there must be some kind of executable that instructs these annoying extensions to re-load themselves. There must be a process running quietly in the background on your system which is responsible. I recommend that you back up your data (such as passwords and bookmarks), completely remove the Google Chrome profile and user data folder, and perform a thorough adware and malware check of your system with Malwarebytes and an antivirus program. You can also manually check all programs and processes that start automatically after system startup to see if you notice anything suspicious.

Strange way of thinking.
To be precise, I am not deceiving anyone and I have explained everything clearly, this way of discrediting and continuing to say that a shady project is rather childish.

No, it is not a strange way of thinking. You think people here are stupid?

There is no question that these accounts were created solely for the purpose of shilling for your project. Regardless of whether they are your alts or you hired them, you clearly tried to game the system and mislead the community. The use of alt accounts to give positive trust and oppose the flag against you is called trust abuse and clearly violates the established community standards.

As logfiles said, this is another reason not to trust you and your shady project.
1733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Myths that we often hear on: August 11, 2022, 07:09:00 PM
Here is another Gambling Myth that I often hear:

  • Women don't know anything about sports betting.

In reality, it is not all about the men, and in fact many women have a better sense than their male counterparts regarding sports betting. Betting on a sports game is not rocket science (and I am not implying here that women cannot be rocket scientists, either), even if some men would like you to believe that it is.

1735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Myths that we often hear on: August 09, 2022, 11:22:11 PM
Ignore myths about gambling, it is a dangerous road for money, enjoyment, and your health. The fact that these myths still exist and are being spread proves once again that we do not realize how susceptible our brains are to over-shifting patterns. Yes, you can win if you play long enough, but is it worth it? Is it a sound financial decision? It is always wise to understand how things work, remember the fundamentals and avoid easy shortcuts. Remember, there is truly no such thing as a guaranteed win, on the Internet or offline.
1736  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is this person trying to do on: August 09, 2022, 11:05:18 PM
I think it is safe to say that this is a scam. In this digital age, it is easy to fall prey to internet scams. But, don't ever trust anyone whom you don't know from the inside out. Especially people online who claim to have who have medical problems, like this scam artist above. Never hesitate to do some research if you think something might be fishy, and learn as much as you can about a situation before you commit to sending your money anywhere. If it sounds too good to be true, it most certainly is.
1737  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Four (4) Tips On How I Handle Criticism on Bitcointalk Forum on: August 09, 2022, 09:22:57 PM
Many of us interpret criticism as an attack on our own value, taking criticism personally when it is not.
It could be an attack at times because a guy once called me "stupid and foolish" for taking offence at why I disliked Bitcoin. It's disliked, not even dislike. I guess some are overbearing and attack/disrespect people at will which is not good.

Was it me? LOL!

Well, if that is all the guy told you, then I wouldn't even consider it a criticism, but just plain ad hominem since he is incapable of arguing effectively. But, if it is accompanied by valid arguments, then you can accept it as the way he is expressing himself. For example, some people are more vocal in their feelings while others are more intellectual and restrained. Don't take away the other's right to express themselves in a way they feel comfortable with. The language we use to express ourselves (or our attitudes) is often a reflection of our personality and character. You don't have to be a wimp about it.
1738  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Blokbro plagiarised Content , Roadmap and Whitepaper from LockNess.io on: August 09, 2022, 07:17:15 PM
holydarkness, although you wasted a lot of perfectly good words on this case, I think you nailed it!  Cheesy

I just wanted to add my thoughts on this:
I am not sure with how it goes in Italy, but I know a lot of --if not most, or even every-- countries apply this rule.
~

Last time I checked, Italy was still a member of the European Union, so for all intents and purposes, I believe this applies:

Quote
How to obtain copyright protection
If you create literary, scientific and artistic work, you automatically have copyright protection, which starts from the moment you create your work, so you don't need to go through any formal application process.
https://europa.eu/youreurope/business/running-business/intellectual-property/copyright/index_en.htm

~
I like your argument and congratulate you on your work, but I would like people to understand that common sense often prevails over many things.

You seem to be shifting your arguments a bit here, don't you? The common sense in this case is that you cannot just take someone else's work and present it as your own. But I bet that you knew this all along, so all this discussion was unnecessary.
1739  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake Google Sheets Extension - Scammed on: August 09, 2022, 06:16:19 PM
Did you ever take a look at the extension setting page? If I'm not mistaken, on Chrome, you can see the Chrome Web Store page for every installed extension, maybe the fake extension information is listed over there. I tried to look it up but couldn't find any. If there is, the scam extension should be reported.

I do not think this extension came from the official Google Chrome Web Store, that is probably why it was greyed out. OP said he installed some pirated software lately. In my experience, this is a very common way to get infected with malicious software and browser extensions.

Do not install programs from unofficial sources. They can give you more than you bargained for.  Wink
1740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple deposit never received on: August 07, 2022, 11:49:26 PM
Back to the address, the XRP address is being created by Uphold. There are 2 possibilities, the hacker is using Uphold for the address receiver or the Uphold itself is the culprit.

I think there is a third possibility. The address was activated by the Uphold because that's where the first transaction came from. If the OP's transaction was the first, it would probably say that it was activated by Kraken. Uphold may not have anything to do with this as it seems to be just another exchange, and someone was probably just trying to withdraw their funds to Binance or some other address.
