1721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk is one of the keys to be 100k$ per Bitcoin? on: October 29, 2022, 09:36:45 PM
I do absolutely believe that Elon Musk has a major role in the price of Bitcoin reaching $100k. His social media presence and influence is proof that when he sends out a couple of Tweets people pay attention.
People also saw the price of Tesla stocks rising creating more believers and reaching more followers. His role in the crypto market has a huge impact on many of his followers that invest in Tesla.
When Elon Musk rumored that Tesla would accept Bitcoin as a means of purchasing, it was the moment I believe catapulted him in front of a new and broader audience.
Elon Musk will always be an effective crypto influencer regardless of how the people see him negatively. He’s intelligent, smart and definitely wise in all of his decisions. So it’s not surprising why even just from a single move from Elon, or just simply making a tweet about bitcoin, bitcoin price instantly create a good price increase, and most particularly with Tesla news to accept bitcoin in the past. Elon Musk though not completely good for bitcoin maybe because of his hidden desires, but it’s undeniable that he can easily create a hype for bitcoin effortlessly.
1722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bear market Survivals on: October 29, 2022, 09:11:15 PM
Any coin that survives this bear market will do well come the bull season

That’s the main point that many should focus on . But sadly no major altcoin other than ETH seems to be surviving. When the big boss Bitcoin is struggling, how can these even move up in the graph? People are afraid to buy Bitcoins in this bear market, so definitely they might have forgotten the altcoins. Nevertheless we should keep a watch on the top 10 coins at coinmarketcap. These coins have great marketcap and will definitely rise in the next bull run. Let’s hope for positivity in every aspects.
Even most of the top 10 coins in the marketcap cannot give us an assurance that they will always be profitable and reach their new ATH when bull run comes. So probably, let’s just focus more on bitcoin and ethereum for long term hodling as they will eventually skyrocket again when bullish market is here. Although we can always invest with the rest of the coins but never expect too much price increase from them as they will just follow whatever the path of bitcoin takes.
1723  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A newbie with 100$ on: October 29, 2022, 08:42:43 PM
How long can you hold it in an investment for? If its money you don't need then it's better to invest then not but if you don't have much in assets you might be able to invest it elsewhere and get a more stable return (as crypto is still emerging imo).
You can expect from your $100 to be double or triple once you take the risk investing in bitcoin, but we can’t tell when it’s gonna happen. So if you are not eager to make profits and you’re planning it to invest in long term, then investing in bitcoin can be a perfect choice. However, if you will be needing your money in a short period of time, I guess crypto investment will not fit for you. Go find some stable investment that will guarantee fast profits so you can use your money anytime.
1724  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may drop to $15k or so but it'll definitely hit $300k+ in coming years on: October 29, 2022, 08:23:50 PM
That's just my thoughts. Maybe by 2024, unless all hell breaks loose.

It's hard to imagine how bitcoin will reach $300k by 2024. I mean what kind of investors or news will be the catalyst for it to soar that high. There are no signs yet of global adoption and government are still skeptic about considering it as an asset. Breaking its current ATH at $69k is what I think probable to happen on the next bull cycle.
Although bitcoin is full of surprises, but I don’t see it happing soon for bitcoin price to reach $300k. Breaking previous ATH of course will be very possible like even reaching $100k, but higher than that may only mean that we are already close to global adoption. Although it’s still possible, but not as early as 2024.
1725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you Consider the Price of Bitcoin to be More Important than its Purpose? on: October 28, 2022, 09:59:17 PM
Price is a very important parameter of bitcoin which can satisfy its purpose. So both goes hand in hand and shouldn't have less priority above another. An electronic peer to peer cash system is fine, but unless a price tag is attached, what you will transact and how you will determine value? Without a price tag, it's simply impossible to transfer value using bitcoin. So price is very important factor which can satisfy its purpose of become and store of value. Nothing else will!
I believe no one would likely to invest in bitcoin in the first place without its high price and high returns as people are more greedy in nature. However, not all people think like that because when you come to know bitcoin well and its purpose in the blockchain technology, you will discover that bitcoin is the future not only for its own high value but definitely of it’s own purpose. But if bitcoin’s price and purpose will go hand in hand, I guess that will be much better as it’s going to meet the satisfaction needed by the people.
1726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Downfall still possible? on: October 28, 2022, 09:40:59 PM
Yeah but people must aware despite the fact that if bitcoin is still doing sideway and downfall can come anytime just like when bitcoin was dropping below 19k. People must not feel scared for that but newbies will be continue to panic sell their tokens.
It can be seen from how many coins got negative result once bitcoin was only dropping around 1 percents which doesn't even make sense to see that.

Because many people don't understand how the market works. The big players never buy at the top of the market or during the ATH, but instead lock in profits. Newcomers do the opposite. Big players always buy during panic sales and actively use a hoarding strategy. Beginners do the opposite, they maximize their selling during sell-offs and buy nothing. This psychology works in all financial markets.
That’s probably the main reason why people leave suddenly from the market with a heavy heart due to big losses. Since they don’t understand the market well, then they also mistakenly invest in projects that are never reputable at all and have never proven their significance over a period of time. While good projects continue to surge high and create good prices, these weak projects will always bound to fall. Although some good projects have chances to fall in the future too, but most likely it’s the unreliable and weak projects that do not survive for long.
1727  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it important to have a niche in this forum or not on: October 28, 2022, 09:19:58 PM
It's not news that specialization in a particular area brings out a lot of quality in people's works. But do you guys think that a newbie should focus on developing a niche to thrive in or diversify his/her interests as much as possible

I think you should follow your interests and what interests you.
Each of the forum members is different and is interested in a different aspect of the crypto industry.
Are you more interested in technology, business, or maybe you just want to meet crypto enthusiasts from your local area?
Only you know the answer to these questions, and accordingly you will choose the part of the forum that suits your interests.
Personally, I believe that investments should be diversified, not personal interests  Grin
No one can follow all areas and be an expert in everything.
No one may be doing something without the interest on it. So definitely, there should be high interest and focus on the things that keep you growing. Like in crypto forum, if you think you are good in gambling discussion, then go for it because that will develop you skills in gambling too. However, if I were to suggest, once you enter the forum, you should be knowledgeable in all aspects of the forum, like in bitcoin discussion, trading discussion, or even in gambling discussion. That way, whatever task you are given, you will never be left behind.
1728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Bitcoin seem to have a high influence over other cryptocurrencies? on: October 28, 2022, 08:55:40 PM
It is the one that gave way to the emergence of the term altcoins. If bitcoin haven't come into existence, there could've never been any altcoins. There is a need for a platform that has the ability to eliminate the third party involvement.

Satoshi tossed it through the innovative blockchain technology. Through this Bitcoin blockchain got developed and started to stay dominant in the market. Following bitcoin we started to see the development of more number of altcoins. This is the reason why bitcoin have got high influence over other cryptocurrencies.
Bitcoin creates high influence over altcoins because these coins are definitely cloned from bitcoin. They are formed out from the image and concept of bitcoin. The reason why bitcoin becomes the most prominent coin and altcoins are its followers. Also, bitcoin has the most secured platform, and mostly trusted by the people. The reason why altcoins seem to compete with bitcoin, but until now they have not succeeded over bitcoin.
1729  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is hodling top 10 Marketcap coins a good tactic? on: October 28, 2022, 06:13:52 PM
Please don't make make a thread to lure a newbie to invest in shitcoins, if they're only look on the percentage without doing a research they will say ETH and BNB are better than Bitcoin because ETH and BNB price is surge higher than Bitcoin, also ETH and BNB didn't loss too much like Bitcoin. The main factor is the date that the @OP use, he's choosing a particular date that make BTC performance isn't in good condition.

What can I say if the project who make the biggest ROI and it's survive for around 14 years is only Bitcoin.
So investing in top 10 coins in the marketcap never hold profits guaranteed at all. As they can always lose their value and vanished instantly. That is true to shitcoins but if we only focus on bitcoin and ethereum, most likely we will gain consistent profits as they are known to be prominent coins over a long period of time. Though they still have their own risks, but it’s less risky at all when you know the coins you are investing are well established and have been proven so profitable since their existence.
1730  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do the best out of what you can control on: October 27, 2022, 10:15:03 PM
I would never compare a forum to social networks. Posting pictures is one of the dumbest things to do. Waiting for likes is the same. A lot of people on the forum want privacy, don't they? What connects the forum with social networks?
Just come here with an open mind. If you see a useful and good post, give it merit. If you know the answer to the question, share your vision.
In the case of the OP, think about what you now have to say. Would it be really bright, or does it look like pouring water from a full bucket into an empty one?
Merits will only be important if you are planning to join signature campaigns, but if you think you are not yet capable of earning merits, then it’s never the end of your journey in crypto. There are always big chances for learning and gaining skills, and you just have to learn them with good understanding and good comprehension so that you can definitely use them in the future. And when you become pro in the long run, eventually earning merits is not a problem anymore as you can get it anytime from your useful and quality posts.
1731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Point Do You Start Accepting Bitcoin as a Payment Option For Your Business? on: October 27, 2022, 09:54:36 PM
I have read more than five (5) posts on this forum where users celebrate accepting bitcoin as a payment option for their business. Outside of the forum, we have read news of companies such as Microsoft, Home Depot, Twitch, Whole Foods, Gyft, Benfica accepting bitcoin as a payment. The question that has been on my mind for quite a long time is that-at what point do you think a business should start accepting bitcoin as a payment option, considering profit margin, price stability, and manipulation from exchanges?

I will only accept bitcoin payment when everything around me is already aware and are more knowledgeable on bitcoin. Otherwise, if I start accepting bitcoin when all they know is only fiat, then my business won’t work and will eventually go back to fiat alone as a payment because it’s what people only know and become aware.
1732  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much was your last big win? on: October 24, 2022, 09:26:34 PM
Sorry to say, but I've never won anything significant while gambling. I'm not a good gambler, but I do love to play. I've won some money in the past, but it was never more than $100. I would love to win something big, but it just doesn't happen to me.

Even myself, I don’t expect winning a huge amount as I only gamble for entertainment with just a minimal amount. And so if I win, that will just be a small one and I’m used to it already. But it’s always a dream for everyone to hit the jackpot prize, and it takes a big luck and maybe well skilled gambler to make it happen. Someday I will claim onto that.
1733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Split the prize or Reroll? on: October 24, 2022, 09:08:38 PM
Let's say you join a give away with other user and both have to select a number between 1 and 10, you go for 7 while he goes for 9. The winning number is 8.

If the prize is 0.1BTC what would you do? Split the prize and walk away with 0.05 or Reroll to gamble for the full prize?
As gamblers, we always take chances and luck in all our bets, so the reason why I decided to reroll the winning amount so we can chase more profits once lucky. And of course, both should agree about this. Once lucky, we will increase our profits, but if we end up losing the win amount, then there’s no regrets because both sides have agreed about this. After all, gambling is always a risk, no one gets the jackpot and exciting prize without taking the chance to win.
1734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A disheartening true life winning story on: October 24, 2022, 08:50:56 PM
I think he will win it. The fact that the company is offering him money means there is legitimacy in his claim, there must be proofs of his win that's why he won't budge at the offers given to him. Now, the gambling company will have more problems after he wins this case.
Reputation is first. Instead of just paying the man, they took the risk of going this far so now their business will be in danger too.

I have not experienced this yet and I wish to never do.
Why do they do it? Well, when it's about the money anything can be done. But sadly, in this case, they are not looking at long term profits.

The gambling casino has obviously at fault in this so they have to pay the gambler on his winning bet because that’s the right thing to do. Otherwise, if the casino continue to act like a scammer and continue to be greedy on their part, well they will lost their business in the long run because other gamblers will definitely most likely not to gamble their money at this certain casino. Losing their reputation will mark the end of their business.
1735  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best thing to do if this happens on: October 24, 2022, 06:43:26 AM
Assuming you gamble on a mid to high-rated gambling website and you won big but they refuse to pay up, what and what are the legal way to make sure that the platform pays up your money?

Gather all the pieces of evidence, screenshots of all your pieces of evidence, and post the complaint here and on all the other platforms, if they have an announcement here with an active representative, the community can pressure the representative to address the issue.
A high-rated casino cannot ignore your accusation as long as your complaint is legit and you have not cheated because it will ruin their reputation, gamblers will stop playing here and new players will stop coming in, gamblers have Bitcointalk to thank they have a good venue to post their accusations.
Mostly high rated casinos guarantee the players that this type of complaint will never be possible in their site. But if ever circumstances occur, maybe the best thing to do is to post complain first in their own site and once they ignore it, that’s the time to post it in this forum because for sure, a lot of old and new gamblers will be aware on it and get discourage to play on their site. The result will be very alarming for them that will instantly decrease their profits, so they will surely find immediate solution to your complain.
1736  Economy / Gambling / Re: Unpopular opinion about crypto gambling on: October 24, 2022, 06:18:09 AM
In the end you need to provide your personal information in life for anything that involves huge amount of money.

*When you open a bank account.
*When you buy a house or a car.
*When you win the lottery.
*When you pay taxes.
*When you win a huge amount in the casino.

It's what happens when you become an adult, and we haven't to be afraid of that because we are not doing any illegal stuff.
Though KYC is still not completely mandatory to all casinos, but as all casinos get centralized, eventually we will end up in a no KYC, no betting rule because that is expected to end in that way. So it’s better to adopt it earlier and accept the fact that all casinos are bound to require strict KYC compliance if you want to play their games. Otherwise, you’ll stay betting in gray casinos and gets no assurance and security on withdrawing your funds.
1737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Survey] Do you still play or stop the game? on: October 23, 2022, 09:58:54 PM
Gambling for me are not about profit.... because I gamble for entertainment. So I will simply leave the money that I won ..on the casino to continue gambling. Yes, when I win something huge... I will withdraw a small amount to treat my family and friends or to buy something nice.... but the majority of the winnings stay on the casino.  Tongue

That is why they say... "If you do not quit when you win big.. the house always win"
I guess even if we say we gamble for entertainment, but we know deep inside we want to gain profits aside. And that’s when you get instant lucky and won huge amount. So for me, I will stop gambling immediately and just gamble again the next day. This has always happened to me and then continue to chase more profits because of greed, but still end up losing everything. So now, as much as possible I want to control my greed, so I can enjoy my profits without chances of losing them.
1738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Want KYC at Crypto Casinos During Registration? on: October 23, 2022, 09:46:05 PM
I'd rather do it during the registration so I would know if I can comply with the requirements that they will be asking rather than do it during the withdrawal or deposit process where there will be a chance for them to hold my funds. There are already some casinos that ask for KYC during registration and as epr my experience, there's nothing wrong or risk on it as long as we are choosing right casinos with good reputation.
For me, it’s still a risk for us to give our personal information no matter how reputable or reliable a casino is. The fact that they can use it for other transactions if they really want to, then that would mean a loss for us. The reason why I stay away from casinos asking KYC, but if lucky enough to win such a huge amount, I guess i would have to comply with it than to lose my funds complete.
1739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Gambling Stories on: October 23, 2022, 09:25:29 PM
First, in your opinion, what would be a reasonable amount to give his girlfriend? Second, assuming you were the apprentice in the story, would you abandon your training or would you have given in to the pressure to split the money with your boss?
Any amount that his girlfriend says would be a reasonable amount to give since it's her money and he stole it so I feel like the guy doesn't have a favorable situation here even though he managed to multiply her money by a lot.

For the other story, i'd abandon the training or look for other ways to replace your boss since it's not worth the effort when you have that kind of boss who would suddenly decide to have a share in your winnings.
Probably, that would be the best thing to do. Never argue with your girlfriend since it’s her money after all. If she will agree with 50/50, I guess that’s good enough. Because what you have contributed is just luck, the capital is still from your girlfriend which you stole.

For the second story, if you can afford to find another training, then go for it as it’s useless to stay in a training with an undisciplined and irresponsible boss. But if you find it hard to find one, then stay with your boss but never agree with him with splitting into two your money, just give him even 1/4 of it.
1740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you get over a bad loss? on: October 23, 2022, 09:11:39 PM
What's your favorite thing to do when you get a bad loss?

Accept the result. There's no point in forgetting it but rather it's good to take that as experience to become a better gambler. How can we even enjoy doing relax if we are at a big loss? Maybe we will be happy for quite some time but after that when we got home, the sad feeling will be back again. For me, just accept the loss calmly as it will just pass away.

Next time, do our best not to experience that bad loss again.
Maybe that’s the best to do than to escape the reality. Although I sometimes do it before go out with my friends and end up drunk. At the end of the day, still the problem is there, the big loss is there. So just learn to be more responsible next time and never gamble more than you can afford to lose. That way, you will never have to worry with your losses considering you dare just losing a minimal amount.
