1761  Other / Off-topic / Re: Increase in cost of running the family on: November 25, 2022, 09:59:05 PM
I see that this is reality that the cost of running the family house hold daily, weekly, monthly and yearly has increased. From different people that have complained and including friends, it is getting so much of frustration to taking good care of the family to live fine because inflation and no job. To buy basic need in the house not easy. A friend that have add a new born to his home complaining of buying diaper, provisions for the new child as expensive in addition to the expenses to take care of the other children. The situation of bringing up the family is not easy and I think one way to helping ourselves not to add more financial burden is by reducing the number of children we give birth to. This can help.

This friend of mine now complain so much because of the new child adding to his family. If we reduce the child bearing to the amount we can take care , it will reduce the heat we are feeling from the bad economy experience.
First and foremost, we should not keep on bearing a child if we have struggles in our finances because that will only make the child more unwanted because of not offering him/her the best things in life he deserved. It’s better to raise limited number of children like 2 or 3 because even if the parents are poor, they can still find ways to survive and send them into schools. While for those who are already struggling to survive, and yet they keep on bearing a child, most likely those parents cannot perform well as parents to their children and their children will be also deprived from the things that they deserved to have.
1762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I Am So Done With Betting Until.... on: November 25, 2022, 09:44:10 PM
I think I am one of the unluckiest gambler/bettor out here, today is one of my worst days again and I think I should quit betting.

I went all in on Argentina thinking their match against Saudi Arabia would be an easy win for them, and the fact that the odds were so far away against Saudi Arabia winning while it was in huge favor of Argentina caused me to be so sure that Argentina was going to win the match, and then, I went all in, hoping to make some big wins just like yesterday, but now, everything is gone, in just a twinkle of an eye...
Argentina is a big disappointment, It's still hard to believe, I quit betting until I am able to forget this experience entirely.
But the question is when are you going to forget about your big loss? Because for most of the gamblers, the more they lose money, the more they gamble to chase all their losses. So it will take another huge money to lose again before this gambler realizes that gambling is not really good for him. And also, going all in always ends up in losing than winning the bet, so probably gamble with only a small amount so you won’t be hurt when you lose them all.
1763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Chinese Man Won $29,392,922.00 & Refused to tell His Wife and child on: November 25, 2022, 09:29:19 PM
A southern China Mann won 219 millions Yuan which is equivalent to $29,392,922.00 and kept all bybhim himself without telling his wife and child for the fear that it will change their life and will not make them not to work again. And he gave 5 millions yuan to charity home. And contemplating what to do with the remaining amount. He said, "I didn't tell my wife and child, for the fear that they would be too complacent and would not work or hard work in the future".
What do say about this kind of man?

Man Keeps Whopping N13 Billion in Lottery Winnings from His Family: “I Didn’t Tell My Wife and Child”
The man is not good enough for his family because of his wrong mindset and his wrong decision in life. While most of the jackpot prize winners bring home their rewards to celebrate with their family, this man is different. He prefer to think first the negativity that money could bring to his family, when in fact it could be a great blessing that will make their lives more comfortable and secured to live with.
1764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock fight game on: November 25, 2022, 08:59:22 PM
Cock fighting is a kind of gamble that bet is placed on the two cocks whereby if cock A wins all cock A supporters wins. It is a legalize gamble in some part of Asia

In the westside of my country during sallah, the Muslims buy rams for celebration, if the ram is bought before the day it will be slaughtered, one of the youth in the family will secretly take this ram out to the field were other Muslim people are with their rams for gambling.

It use to be fun when you see this ram nodding themselves to the extent that some rams might even die at the process of fighting and some rams will lose their horns. Money is been made at this period because so many gamblers will go there to stake on a ram in other to make profit

This kind of gambling is always fun because these animals fights in the circle of human, have you been involved in this kind of animal gambling or have you watched such game before. Can such game be in the casino?
I have never been involved in this type of game and have no plans either to get addicted in this type of gambling. Although our ancestors have been seeing fun on this, but let’s face the reality that not all legend games should be carried out to this new era. For me, this animal cruelty should never be encourage and should not be supported by the government, so that those who always go for cockfighting should also learn to stop.
1765  Economy / Economics / Re: A career - as an employee or a business owner which do you prefer and why? on: November 24, 2022, 10:05:54 PM
I'll choose to be a business owner because I'm thinking of that I can help genuinely those that deserves it and are hardworking. So, it's a give and take situation for me and those that I will employ if ever I'll have a big business.

I'm planning to have one but sometimes it's making me think if I can make it. I'm not afraid of risks but I'm afraid of failure but also, it's making me realize that I can just restart if the business I started has failed and just go back to employment.
I have always wanted to become a business owner from the start but seems my experience is not good enough so I would want to start as an employee at first and gained all the insights needed to grow a business. Because I believe once you build your own business, big capital is not enough, you also have a good knowledge and skills on the business you are building as to have higher assurance for that business to succeed.
1766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling winner identity on: November 24, 2022, 09:29:21 PM
These stories fascinate me. I understand that you can hide 30,000 USD from your wife, children and friends, if you like, but 30 million? Not a chance.

Besides, I think he has the wrong mentality. It's true that there are people who win a large sum of money in the lottery and go bankrupt, but that money well managed gives you peace of mind for the rest of your life. I would make it clear to both of them, especially to the son, that as long as they behave as they should, they won't have to worry about money for the rest of their lives, but if, for example, when the son has to go to university instead of studying, he spends his time drinking, partying and doing cocaine, he won't see a penny.

I bet this man has an issue with money when it comes to his family. That’s why he wants to save it to himself alone and not telling even his wife. Although his intention is good but his way of dealing it is quite wrong. Instead of hiding it, it’s always better to be honest to your wife and kid and tell them about what you have gained. And explain to them that they should not rely from it because it will be only be used for the education of the child and when sudden emergency cases happen.
1767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Still think bitcoin is coming to an end? Then you must read this <3 on: November 21, 2022, 09:41:17 PM
The media are flexible, when we're in the bull run you'll see them tell good things about the market and the crazy predictions that have been told by those unknown people that they're highlighting as someone as if they're an expert in the field. But, the people that they're quoting and giving exposure is truly an unknown person. But when we're in the bear market, you'll also see them tell those very low predictions that have been given, so, they're always at the two sides of the market. That's why don't depend your emotion to them.
People are just showing their market sentiments. When the market is bullish, people will always praise bitcoin and the rest of the potential coins. When the market is bearish, people will also develop fear and eventually panic thinking that their investments will not recover anymore. But not all we see and hear from the media are true and reliable. Sometimes, we have to make our own analysis so that we will not fall into false beliefs.
1768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Running a casino during crypto crash on: November 21, 2022, 09:23:52 PM
So far, I have never heard of casinos having financial problems, correct me if I'm wrong. But the OP seems to want to equate the financial problems of post-market crash exchanges from FTX with casinos. So far I have bet on various casino sites, withdrew the results of the bet and had no problems with it. But the opinions of people here are very diverse and all are free to have an opinion. So transparency of backup evidence from the casino is needed or not, I'm not really worried.
I think even if there is transparency, if the casino gets to experience financial breakdown or bankruptcy, then it will eventually be forced to close. But this is just rare to happen as most of the casinos have huge financial bankroll reserve, enough to cater even the jackpot winnings of their customers. So even if there is crypto crash, casinos will be able to maintain their high bankroll, without controlling the finances of their gamblers.
1769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino games plebs like us must play on: November 21, 2022, 06:31:50 PM
I don't really care if there's still house edge even if it's very low because gambling sites are business which means itbis always in thei favor to earn profit from their gamblers. So what I was trying to explain is that we are the so called employees on their casinos to help the owner for earning a good profit for a chance to get high pay which I think you know it's about winning in bet like the ones you have known that won huge amount in casino. After all, gambling sites are business and it's all in the casinos favor no matter how you flip the truth upside down.
That’s the reality. Gamblers are only tools to make the casinos more profitable, and since it’s a kind of business, then it will always make sure that the house will always have the advantage and will always win. The reason why we need to gamble only for fun, and even plebs should start enjoying gambling too.
1770  Economy / Gambling / Re: Black Friday fever: do you wait for extra bonuses from casinos? on: November 21, 2022, 05:38:08 PM
Halloween is now over. Perhaps some of you participated in tournaments from iGaming providers. Black Friday is next on the list.
As it is no longer associated solely with marketing campaigns of offline and online retailers, bookmakers and casinos actively support the November fever too.
They offer players FS from providers and various promo activities  from the platforms themselves.
Question - are you expecting exclusive promo offerings on the Black Friday?

Promos in online casinos will certainly be in demand, especially on Black Friday, first of all it concerns regular players, for me, for example, a promo is just a way to try my luck mostly without further deposits. Smiley
Even myself, can’t deny it that I am also interested for the upcoming Black Friday event as it would be an array of another exciting best early sales and offers, bonuses that are mostly awaited to happen every year. And this is where even regular players most likely to enjoy. So as long as we never gamble exceeding our budget, I guess that’s fine, in order to avoid future regrets in gambling.
1771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does altcoins actually have the potentials of generating benefits to investors? on: November 20, 2022, 10:10:28 PM
You have hope when investing in Altcoins, of course you have to look at the types of Altcoins, founders, teams, developments in the crypto market and so on, investing in Altcoins takes a long process for you to understand and get profits, in my opinion if you are a beginner just do long-term investments in Bitcoin & Ethreum, it's safer for you.

Without a doubt, the long term investments in well known top list coins are the safest and most rewarding but time consuming.

While this "sentiment" might be good for some investors, most people come in crypto for easy and quick gains and not time-consuming ones. This does not mean that they are bad, but just that their mindset is different and possibly they are in a money crunch and trying some risky moves. For them the downward spiral begins with buying a shitcoin and then watching it go down until it never comes back up.

My honest opinion is that dont try to get into crypto if you are in for short term gains, unless if you have insider information about advisors dumping or something else. Get in to stay for the long and get in for bitcoin.
Always go for a long term investment with bitcoin. Although altcoins are still profitable only if you come to chose and invest with top ten coins in the marketcap, but if you want more secure and guaranteed bigger profits ahead, then stick to bitcoin it. Sometimes, it’s best to take a bigger risk by buying expensive bitcoin than to settle in less and affordable altcoins and see your investments not growing in the end.
1772  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So many good news but Market and coins don't go up on: November 20, 2022, 09:37:14 PM
because the good news you mean (though I don't know what it is) didn't really please the market, and the impact of the previous issue caused a lot of damage the market lost confidence and they needed time to recover and trust in cryptos again, because the problem with the exchange, market was so thinking what to do if the exchange place for cryptos activity turns out to be not a place to be trusted.
I don’t even see good news happening these days, but definitely its more on negative issues that the market is presently facing. Although I have to say there may be some positive news that are unnoticeable, but they were not significant in the market at all so most probably, they don’t also leave positive impact to the crypto market. And while the market is still in a bearish state, so expect that crypto prices are more down today.
1773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin payment implementing at the Bitcoin Island(BORACAY) on: November 20, 2022, 08:45:16 PM
Cool thing to see. I am starting to think more and more things like this will push BTC acceptance faster then some other methods.
People coming in for vacations and seeing that some smallish place can do it then why can't some larger ones.
This would make more people look into BTC as a viable option for their business and so on. Don't know if it will really happen that way but it's a thought.

Side note, is that you in the pictures?

-Dave
This is definitely a great news for bitcoin. Knowing Boracay, a lot of tourists here come and go so for sure this will create a good awareness that bitcoin can also be a useful payment method aside from being a profitable investment. Not only on the side of the tourists, but this will also encourage more merchants as bitcoin is more convenient to use than fiat.
1774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: November 20, 2022, 04:08:49 AM
Quote
DK Yoo has a bold prediction ahead of his exhibition fight with Manny Pacquiao in December. The Korean believes that he will ‘win with the jab’ against the experienced Filipino southpaw.
Source

This had me laughing! Grin I know that DK Yoo and Manny Pacquiao will do their respective jobs in marketing their future exhibition fight but this self-proclaimed Korean master of almost all martial arts should also know his boundaries and choose the right words because he surely doesn't want to be misinterpreted by Manny Pacquiao himself as that will bring embarrassment to him soon. I mean, seriously? Win with the jab? hehe.
Let’s see if he can really do fast jabs to Pacquiao’s face, or it might be the other way around. Although I must say that the name DK Yoo is not really familiar to me, but I guess his premonition towards his opponent is something that I think a lot will disagree. This “Pambansang Kamao” from the Philippines will surely not allow for that to happen, so DK Yoo should also know his boundaries.
1775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: High roller looking for KYC-FREE casino on: November 19, 2022, 10:49:25 PM
-snip

It would be hard to find a casino these days that won't ask for KYC especially if you're a high roller. I have an account in blackjack.fun and I had to do KYC recently just to withdraw a small smount of profit. I'm curious if you played without having to do KYC there since you said that you were able to wager 200btc. Privacy is not an option now when playing on gambling websites. KYC regulation is almost mandatory on many reputable casinos as well as to those that are new platforms.
Not just hard but it’s even risky knowing you are a high roller and as expected you will make big rewards too, and you always bet in KYC free casinos. It’s not bad to stay anonymous since that’s your own privilege when it comes to gambling but learn to accept the fact that if you want to give us recommendations on safe and reliable casinos, well most of them are already adopting KYC requirement. Although you can still find some KYC free casinos but maybe in gray and shady areas.
1776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of not letting others know about your crypto holdings on: November 19, 2022, 10:32:04 PM
So the lesson here is to never tell anyone exact amount you hold. You can inform just one member like your parents or wife about this so that they can recover the funds in case anything happens to you but never tell this information to casual friends or distant relatives.
Or, never tell anything at all that may involve money, trust no one. I even rarely tell my wife how much I own but she's not the persistent one so it's fine for both of us in the end. Not everyone was really happy with what they got, others get jealous or they have others intent bad behind you.
Exactly, just keep it to yourself and stay low key. You cannot hold an assurance that those people who know your crypto hodlings will also never tell it to their family and friends. And that’s where negative plans for you might be formed. That’s why disclosing too much personal informational is never good at all even if you’re with closest friends and relatives as they can always make a bad move against you if they badly needed money.
1777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which has better odds, lottery, online gambling, or sports betting? on: November 19, 2022, 10:15:04 PM
I go with you to this reason. That is why sometimes they say waking up on the right side of the bed or wrong side depending on what is the experience of that day. Everyday come with different experience that we have and if it happen to be a favour day, anything is good on that day and bad day will remain bad for anything you try. On a good day trying a gamble may be successful. I see this happening alot of times with people who share experience of betting and winning when they didn't expect to win.

Here in gambling, there's a good and bad days. Whatever the result on that day, just accept it.

Whether playing the lottery, online gambling, or sports betting, gambling is gambling and regardless of the odds, it's not a sure win always.

Maybe just choose a gambling type that we feel comfortable risking our money whatever the probability to win at those.

Gambling will always have inevitable losses no matter what particularly in games that are purely based on luck and chances. However, if you can bet on games that you think you are good at it and you’re skilled at it, then definitely you will lessen the risk of losing. And certainly, sportsbetting will give us better chances to win than to lose.
1778  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Never depend on cryptocurrency as your only source of income. on: November 19, 2022, 09:59:47 PM

Never think of using cryptocurrencies as your only source of income; always have Alternatives for it, if really you don't want to endup in nothing. See what happens to my friends for making crypto as their only source of income.

When my friends started cryptocurrency few years ago, they seriously engaged in trading, but I knew nothing about trading then, I was just learning from them, during this last bull run, some of my friends that started trading, decided to quit there job just because they believe the money they are making from trading is sufficient for them and they don’t have to be stressing themselves going to office everyday since they can make enough money from cryptocurrency without going out. I advised them not to quit but they didn’t listen to me, now that we are in bear market, all of them have been frustrated since they are not making money from cryptocurrency and they already left their job and is not really easily for them to secure a new job, currently coins are down and this is the best opportunity to buy more coin but unfortunately for them they are selling the coins the already bought to keep for long term just to take care of themselves.

making cryptocurrency your only source of income is a bad idea, you should be expecting money just from one source, is a really bad idea, most people can’t really hold there coins because cryptocurrency is their only source of income, which whenever they are in need of money they endup selling the coins which they purchase to hold for a long period of time, but if you are having other sources of income whenever you are in need of emergency money, you won’t sell your coins, you can get money from those other sources of income you are having. So even if you are into cryptocurrency fully, I believe you should have other business which you will be running to support your cryptocurrency investment, and with that you will be financially stable, if you are holding a coin you will be able to overlook it for long period of time without selling because you don't only depend on it for survival.

My advise to all newbies is that when we join crypto space, don’t quit your job just because of the amount you are making from cryptocurrency, we should always try our possible best to have another source of income so that whenever things goes wrong we will always have backup.

Always remember that Rabbits are always having 3 holes in the Bush to escape Incase you blow smoke for him to suffocate him and make him Run out...

Being fully dependent in crypto will not guarantee sustainable profits especially in a bear market where chances of making profits is less possible. The reason why we need to have a stable and secure job other than crypto so that when our investments in crypto do not work, at least we won’t end up seeing ourselves financially broken. Or let’s say build another business in the real world that will give us decent profits aside from crypto.
1779  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you consider appearance in business and employment? on: November 19, 2022, 09:44:47 PM
Yes, it matters A LOT, especially if you are in a client-facing role then the way you dress will also tell how the clients will address you. Also, it helps in establishing that you are someone they can trust because you care enough to dress well for your job. But if you are working a job that does not require you to talk to any clients at all, then it's okay if you just wear whatever feels comfortable for you so long as you do not disobey your office's dress code. Luckily, I'm employed in a place wherein people won't care about how you dress so long as you get the job done when they need it.
Being dressed according to your job description will definitely matter especially if your workplace is strictly following dress code based on your position. Especially if you are the one in charge in meeting new clients, you should always create good impression on your clients and being well dressed is one way to help you achieve your goal.
1780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: *El Salvador To Start Purchasing Bitcoin Everyday* on: November 18, 2022, 09:44:19 PM
Shouldn't really be a big deal. They're pretty much just moving from buying dips, to sort of like dollar-cost averaging(obviously not exactly DCA, but slightly similar). Which they should've done in the first place instead of trying to timing prices.
El Salvador has its own goal to maximize their bitcoin purchase so this bear season is the perfect timing to start buying on a large scale. Whether they do it using DCA, that will still be at their own advantage since they will also reap their fruits of labor when the bullish market takes over. While others do the opposite timing in buying, El Salvador still manage to purchase everyday using their huge funds.
