1781  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Do we need to pay tax from Bitcoins earnings? on: December 13, 2016, 05:41:38 PM
I have every reason to believe that this topic has been treated several times even on this forum but with the current happenings and new developments, I guess it can never be enough. However, I will still maintain that until we have laws that recognise Bitcoin as a currency then there is no tax on it. because come to think of it, if something is not recognised as a currency how do you even generate revenue? But same cannot be said concerning USA now because I read about IRS wanting to investigate Coinbase about its users... I am sure they will be hiding under some particular section or sub-section of the law to carry out that investigation...
1782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Giving up on Bitcoin... on: December 13, 2016, 04:48:52 PM
If you're giving up on Bitcoin, then I say I wish you well in future endeavours but for me and the number of people on this forum including those finding their ways in on a daily basis, we are not giving up yet. For the article and the reason given by the CEO as to why they are letting go of Bitcoin is something I see solely rest on perception which can equally be change with the right campaign in the right direction all that is needed is just the push if he has not given up already...
1783  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Have you ever exchanged BTC face to face? on: December 13, 2016, 04:05:19 PM
I have not done face to face before even reputable exchange sites will always avoid personal contact because probably the cost of making face to face transaction if we can just transact online. I visit the site, generate the address I will transfer the coins to, then I supplied my account details which will be credited with the agreed FIAT value. As simple as that...
1784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen if Tech Giants get into Bitcoin or Altcoin Mining? on: December 13, 2016, 04:00:43 PM
I wont get my hopes high for them getting into Bitcoin because all these big companies rub shoulders with people that matter in government at the same time they are multi-nationals who prefer to have a clean slate in any country they operate. For them coming in wont mean much if government has not sanction the currency because it could be interpreted to mean a way to evade tax which will be bad for business among other media paparazi that might follow suit...
1785  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Why PayPal does not like BitCoin sellers? on: December 13, 2016, 01:12:16 PM
Paypal is controlled by the US government, and it is impossible to to trace Bitcoin and take it taxes. Until the government will not take control of cryptocurrency, it will not be officially exchange them.

I will want to agree with you on this because from the way I see it, no matter how Paypal try to sugar coat it, they still see Bitcoin as a threat to their dominance and even with their strict policies and accepting Bitcoin, they are gradually sending themselves out of Business. Another way again is there is no how that we cant see the element of Government hands in the hostile relationship metted out on traders using Bitcoin...
1786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: December 13, 2016, 11:14:06 AM
I actually heard about Bitcoin some years back but I was not even moved by what I was seeing as I basically see something about it on another forum in the investment section making it seems its a quick way to get rich and considering what I have heard before in the case of Liberty reserve, I didnt bother considering it until when I had free time and access to the internet, then I started understanding it little by little at my own pace...

If this is definitely how coins are developed then everyone one on this forum would have developed one. Because I dont understand what this is all about. We should download a wallet then we should donate to a project that we dont even have a clue about. I guess the miners should just cash in on this. Even coins will a lot of preparation and hype have failed to stand the test of time not to talk of this with a scanty information. If OP is really serious about this,I think he should take time to really understand how things are done in the proper way...
1788  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: topgames.io - ads network, trust site? on: December 13, 2016, 09:48:50 AM
Hi,

I bought some ads on topgames.io.
but my campaign is not confirmed some days...
site have not contact...

topgames.io is trust site?

need wait or what happen?

Thanks

What you should have done first is what you are doing last. What will it cost to ask this question earlier before making the payment or even just a "topgames.io review" would have saved you the stress. I hope your fund is still secure and your campaign confirmed for you to benefit for what you have paid for or else you have just contributed to another wallet for free...
1789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin Friendly Countries on: December 13, 2016, 09:20:36 AM
Over here, I wont say we are friendly neither are we not because the only means I can spend my Bitcoin is to find a way to first convert it to FIAT before spending which is hostile by my own definition on the other hand, I can trade free without the fear of breaking any law of the land then I can say that is also friendly. So we kind of in-between the two and I am sure as time goes on and the popularity if Bitcoin increases, we will definitely pick a side because in this new crypto-world, we cannot afford to sit on the fence...
1790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's be honest, how many of you here actaully read the whitepaper? on: December 13, 2016, 09:06:12 AM
Hey everyone. I'm just wondering how many of you actually have read the Bitcoin whitepaper in details. As a Hero member of Bitcointalk, I am ashamed to say that I have not read the Bitcoin whitepaper yet - not even scan through it.

I think I will spare sometime this week to read the Bitcoin whitepaper so that I can understand Bitcoin in detail - most of my knowledge (if not all) about Bitcoin come from Bitcointalk discussions.

Click here for the original whitepaper.
And here for a list of translations.

Even as a full member rank on the forum I dont think I have ever read beyond one page of any white paper whether Bitcoin or any ALT coin. And sometimes I ask myself what is the relevance of this paper? and if developers dont prepare it, we wont take them serious at the same time we wont read it. Its such an ironical situation. I think the developers should do more by simplifying the document in plain english for easy understanding...
1791  Economy / Gambling / Re: [New Player vs Player] Blastabit.com [In Development, No house edge!] on: December 13, 2016, 08:32:51 AM
Its good to see that this is really happening in our very own eyes. And its even going to change the way we see gambling. Having followed the project from inception and up till this final days before launch, I say I cant wait to see it materialize and even give it my own trial probably I will be the first to earn on this site...

1793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency [ICO Live] on: December 12, 2016, 09:16:04 PM
now these guys got it all backwards here, an ICO but no wallets to store the coins in if half the people that release these coins had a brain, they'd be dangerous. I'll never use this coin. no wallet downloads raises a million red flags. I smell pumpNDump scam. and possible diff spamming, jacking up the diff so high no one can mine it, or they run the POW phase out in the ICO so only a few people ever have coins.

Go to their site click download so you can access this "The ICO will run for approximately 46 days beginning November 15, 2016 at 11:00:00 GMT and ending on December 31, 2016 at 17:00:00 GMT. BitConnect Coin wallet available for download within 5 days of Successful ICO."

This is an Ico,have you not been into an ICO usually an Ico will launch their wallet after the Ico,it's not yet finish so wallet is not yet available.

Look at my mask, I'm a newbie, on this forum Newbies aren't allowed to participate in ICOs, airdrops, freebies and aren't allowed to launch coins.

I have not read where Newbies are not allowed to participate in ICOs maybe you can enlighten me though. I believe if you have your funds and you believe in the project then you can put your money in it. Even the ICOs sites are not on the forum that are outside the forum here is just an avenue to get the required exposure which could even come from anywhere depending on how aggresive the promoters are. So if you're ready visit the official site and make it happen...
1794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Zcash price will go upto $1000 [Hold your coins] on: December 12, 2016, 09:09:44 PM
Its a possibility that might come true its also a possibility that might actually bwe part of what we have heard several times over the years. To those who have some, kinldy keep yours if you believe or sell if you dont care but everything is still a risk and if you're ready to live with the aftermath, I say sell or keep as the case maybe for you...
1795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH under 8$!!! on: December 12, 2016, 09:05:53 PM
Its so bad to see a good project going down even though its the rejoice of many. I came to know about ETH when it was wavering between 11$ and 12$ and I was even seeing it as a close alternative with Bitcoin even with some gambling site accepting it. But I cannot say the same again and the blame from me will be on the developers, I may bewroing though who might have abandoned it with the be neccessary support and move to something else. But its actually good for investors and speculators who will want to buy low and sell high if it eventually bounce back...

1797  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Coinbase Bitcoin Users Who Evade Taxes Are Sought by the I.R.S. on: December 08, 2016, 03:53:55 PM
This is getting serious as the regulations are coming gradually and this is what I have always say in my posts relating to legality of Bitcoin. I see US enacting a law very soon regulating this crypto-world in another dimension and other countries following suit. This among other reasons why exchange sites will even ask for blood group in other to trade. This is a drawback, in as much as we are celebrating the popularity of Bitcoin, we should also not be unmindful of the fact that as more people are coming in, more revenue loss to government and government will not sleep on that...
1798  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: if BTC is regulated, can we get prosecuted for making an exchange site or node? on: December 08, 2016, 03:48:05 PM
In my own opinion, I would say you could be prosecuted if what you intend doing falls under the purview of law created for such purpose. What I would suggest is that you take an extensive look at the law and also the relationships between laws as it relates to the type of business you intend operating in the sense that there are several laws guiding the activities of just one type of business and you could be innocent under one law and face the the full wrath of law on the other law or laws...
1799  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin is Legal in India, What about your country? Check here. on: December 08, 2016, 03:38:16 PM
Over here in my country, to the best of my knowledge, there is no law covering Bitcoin because the whole thing is kind of new to us over here. And I dont see the legality coming anytime soon because we are currently being series of issues to now begin to devote resources to legalization or illegality of Bitcoin... And that is even good for us before the government look into that direction, I would have been more entrenched into it to a large extent...
1800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: December 08, 2016, 03:16:03 PM
I actually first saw something about Bitcoin from an HYIP site when I was still looking for a quick way to getting rich which is even yet to happen. I did saw it there as one of the currency that is being accepted but I didnt bother to ask further as the one I was inclined to buy was Perfect Money. My dream of making it there was eventually cut short and I had to give up all in its entirety till I found my way back not until recently...
