I am completely new to this mining lesson and have not even started yet. Is that possible to mine bitcoin with a high-end laptop or a pc? have anyone tried it and is that profitable?
Nope. You need a sha256 ASIC to mine BTC. Other are mentioning Nicehash or altcoins mining, even these ideas are not the best ones imo, as laptops are often not so well cooled and will overheat quickly. In any cases, if you don't have cheap electricity, or a good infrastructure, or the funds to buy serious ASICs, you should just find some other business to do

Congrats to MrsMopar Thank you everyone for participating and happy Bitcoin Pizza Day!
I tried several places to try and buy Pizza with Bitcoin - had to settle with buying a Papa John's Gift card with Bitcoin thru "The Bitcoin Company" and got 2 large pizzas that way.
Bon appétit and happy pizzas! ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) 0.00072 BTC lol, you definitely made a better deal than Laszlo ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

For almost 24 hours, support has been ignoring. The forum has already reached 3 people with the same problem, and how many are sitting silent. This is clearly not a basic situation.
Yeah I understand. I am just saying that eXch won't run away with your funds; I am not saying that the situation is not problematic at all. If I understand well, it looks like their ETH software is blocked/congestioned because of a pending low fee transaction. Their ETH node height is currently "N/A" btw: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.talkimg.com%2Fimages%2F2024%2F05%2F21%2F17qNf.png&t=663&c=kgWWmQYna4lb4A) This would not be the first time they have an issue with Geth, as per their note on the website: -snip - The Ethereum node software stack that is released as "stable" on the official site currently contains a lot of critical bugs. Random crashes, blockchain desync and even blockchain files corruption happen to our Geth instance at least 2 times per week, which makes this software extremely unstable for the production use. Geth core development team are extremely incompetent and refuse to admit or investigate such bugs while their universal solution is to resync the whole blockchain whenever their product brakes itself (example issue of an unfixed bug). [snip] In all cases, we can't do anything else other than waiting an answer from eXch

Uh, sure. I'm on the original site. Support is still silent.
I have myself contacted their support two times; when I did some mistake or to ask question about referrals. They take some time (~24 hours, more or less) to answer but they always answer, there is no reason to worry. I hope your case will be solved asap!
