342  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Intergrating Hashboard with Motherboard for Mining with PC instead of ASICS ! on: March 08, 2024, 10:48:05 PM
Hello guys im asking a question based on mining
Can i somehow integrate the hashboard with motherboard and then make hashboard mine something else
Is it possible to crack the sha256 or it doesnt have to do anything with algorithm
Maybe i dont know too much about asic miners that's why im asking

Thank you Smiley

Hello,

What would be the point? What is the problem with our current control boards?

ASIC = Application-Specific Integrated Circuit

I have Antminers which are doing great the specific task they were made to do. Adding ASIC chips to my computer mobo would be a nonsense, and irrealistic from a practical point of view. Why not use a dedicated server designed for this specific task? Our miners are doing good in their actual shape. Sometimes things need to be kept simple.

Otherwise, if you want to add 1 or 2 ASIC to your computer without the excessive noise / heat, you can always use USB ASICs (gekkoscience) but you will have only 1 chip per stick, so a very low hashrate

Half-baked story. Tell us a full story, or there was never any case at all, except maybe for you mourning for being ban for probably the right reasons. On the banner, I see you have been permanent banned for violation of TOS. Something tells me you made a very serious and unforgivable offense, and here you are trying to play victim.

Agree. As there is no mention of "mixed coin" / "mixer" in their ToS, I find it strange to be fully banned for mentioning mixed coin in a Telegram conversation lol.

@letsxmr please share some proofs ; for now your story could just be a random story made up by someone angry of being banned for whatever reason.

350  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE RAFFLE] - Custom eXch Cryptosteel Capsule (#1)! on: March 07, 2024, 10:50:29 PM
oh I get that and I understand - I just prefer to keep it simple is all. and having to do extra steps to verify is not as simple is all. But yes I understand the time it can take when a raffle is not full.

and yes i knew what the OP said about using it - I just never heard of it (that i can recall) so knew nothing about it is all.

I am not mad Smiley

Yeah I was answering to haloxon Smiley no problem I totally understand your point of view too!

Btw this is not the first time that we have this kind of conversation in the community, I mean about the different preferences for the draw.  Grin Grin Grin

Yes I understand that, I just meant perhaps it is the mindset, not necessarily based on the maths/details. Grin

353  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience has a new stickminer that does 300+GH on: March 07, 2024, 07:33:06 PM
Quick question, I'm running two Gekko hubs, three compaq f on each hub, however it is only recognizing four of the six as USB devices. Any suggestions on how to correct this?

Is your PSU enough for the six Compac F ?
354  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE RAFFLE] - Custom eXch Cryptosteel Capsule (#1)! on: March 07, 2024, 07:10:38 PM
I guess that 99% of the members prefer the simple "last 2 numbers of the hash" method.

There is no reason, for the participants it changes nothing. The result is clear, verifiable and fair.
The rules are clear and transparent in OP : "we will use bitmover's tool for the draw".

I prefer using the tool, I don't have to wait X number of blocks to get a result when some spots are not filled, and when I used it for multiples raffles last year everyone was always satisfied.
355  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE RAFFLE] - Custom eXch Cryptosteel Capsule (#1)! on: March 07, 2024, 05:12:50 PM
oh you dont simply use the last 2 numbers in the block hash? seems more direct and simpler. can you explain how you got the 58?

and congrats @aliveNFT!

No I use bitmover's tool: https://bitcoindata.science/giveaway-manager/

Provably fair giveaway manager

As the blockhash is just a number, its last 6 digits is converted to decimal using this function:
var decimal = parseInt(blockhash.slice(-6), 16);

Now we have an integer (0 to 16777215) from the blockhash.

After dividing this decimal by the number of participants, we use the modulo operator (%) to get the division remainder becomes the index_number.

This index_number is applied in the participants list, to get the position of the winner.
var index_number = decimal % competitors.length;
var winner = competitors[index_number];

For additional winners, the past winners are removed from the list and one more digit is added from the blockhash. A maximum 30 was added to avoid working with big numbers.

The result is free from human error (as we have already seen), verifiable and transparent

358  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Lottery Mining on: March 07, 2024, 12:38:24 PM
Has anyone in your community already solo mined a block of Bitcoin on a USB miner? The cost of electricity in taco mining is very low, but what stops me is the expensive price of such devices and the almost zero mathematical probability of mining a block of Bitcoin on such a device.

Yeap someone found a block with a Gekko Compac F in early 2023 IIRC.

Anyway, Bitaxe can be cheap if you want to build a solo lottery ASIC
359  Local / Petites annonces / Re: [Vente] Licence ProfitTrailer (Lifetime) on: March 07, 2024, 12:07:45 PM
