Why? His feedback is useful. Personnaly I would never trade with someone selling tBTC, so I am not against a neutral stating it.

Why this sudden collective interest for a demerit function? I don't see why, is it because of the airdroped merits? even those who have a majority of airdropped merits don't bother anyone either. We can all already see who has earned merits and in what proportion on Bpip or with the web extension, this is not misleading for anyone (I mean campaign managers etc..) ; for example with OP: As for the others, apart from airdropped merits, I'm not such a hater myself lol. So, no real need for demerit imo. In any case, for the moment the result of the poll look pretty clear:

Can offer collateral with USDT.
I can maybe help if you accept to send your collateral first, as you are a newbie I don't trust you enough to send myself first. You can have a look at my trust page, I have several positive trades. However, you did not say how much you need for your loan.

It's a service I'm happy to discover, as finding books in English is difficult in my country, and amazon doesn't deliver here either.
Can you ship anywhere in the EU?

I got an email and they are hosting at a 100 unit limit if it is your gear.
Since i was looking to do 40 maybe 50 pieces. I am not going to use them.
I think they are legit, But I am not going to really research them so if you want to use them DYOR.
They are asic only.
Sounds good, even if I am surprised that they took care of handling some customer request/support on a Sunday. I am also curious to know more about them. I will give them a call tomorrow, and ask some info, will update my message once done

I've never used their services myself. However, over the years I've read a few posts on Reddit from users who said they were satisfied with the service (I can't tell if they were real legit users or just chillers tbh).
I quickly did some researches as I know the Swiss legislation, and I can confirm that they are properly registered. So if you have a problem, you could probably take advantage of Swiss consumer protection, which is pretty good.
I don't vouch for them, but seen from a distance, they look legit. I hope you'll find some real user reviews before making your decision. Good luck!

Local / Débutants / Re: Vendre des Ether sur Ledger Live ?
|
on: February 24, 2024, 09:28:22 AM

Right now, you can only sell Bitcoin through Ledger Live.

Interesting topic, thank you OP. Funny to read some of these emails today: Sirius: > Since they can be created for free (or at the cost > of computer power people have anyway for other reasons), > monetizing them means simply giving away money. Satoshi: You're still thinking as if the difficulty level will be so easy that people will be able to generate all the bitcoins they want.
Imagine you have to run your computer 24/7 for a month to generate 1 cent. After a year, you could generate 12 cents. That's not going to make it so people can just generate all the bitcoin they want for spending.
The value of bitcoins would be relative to the electricity consumed to produce them. All modern CPUs save power when they're idle. If you run a computational task 24/7, not letting it idle, it uses significantly more power, and you'll notice it generates more heat. The extra wattage consumed goes straight to your power bill, and the value of the bitcoins you produce would be something less than that.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mempool Observer Topic

The mempool continues to drain it seems. Transactions are again affordable but haven't gotten to the point where I'll be rushing to consolidate inputs just yet. It's headed in the right direction though. It gives off a much better impression of Bitcoin when new users aren't paying $50 to send BTC from one place to another so I'm glad to see this developing as we near the halving, which is sure to bring a wave of new users to Bitcoin as the price explodes and Bitcoin is plastered all over the media.
You're optimistic imo, I personnaly believe that 99% of new users are just buying/holding on a CEX and won't use the network itself.. so I'm not sure that fees are so important for most of newcomers

--snip-- I have however decided to use a residential proxy on top of my setup to access this forum from now. Hopefully theymos will consider some better alternative to Cloudflare within next years or at least could re-configure the current Cloudflare settings to facilitate access to users with complex Tor setups. We are also ready to provide technical assistance in Cloudflare-less DDoS protection setup if it's the case.
I sincerely hope theymos will read this and consider it. Cloudflare is far from being a perfect solution. Even though I'm aware that he's saving us from a lot of trouble, I think an alternative would be great for everyone. In a previous mixer topic (RIP), we wondered whether there were any credible open source alternative to CF, but unfortunately it would appear to be difficult to find.

This is a very interesting topic, as I've been discussing a catastrophe scenario like "Block Compliant Vs Block not Compliant" and the repercussions this would have on Bitcoin as a whole with others in the local section for a long time.
Unfortunately I'm sad to see that this is the direction it's going to take potentially.
I wonder what role Stratum V2 could play, and if it were to be used, whether pools (US pools for example) could decide to not pay for "not compliant" blocks etc...

Local / Débutants / Re: Stacking sur kraken
|
on: February 21, 2024, 10:26:47 PM

BTC -> XMR -> BTC
