Thanks for the good news my friend. i'm very happy all is good on your side and maybe you bring us not only hashrate, you can also bring us a good luck into that round as a old blockfinder from Blockparty 30

i remember we had a very good share from 100.571.298.452.432 and that high share could also solve a block today :-)

if you import some miner let us know the price and maybe i pick one up.
and let us work on the new dream, let us find a new block for a earlier retirement

Thank you for the kind words man  Cheesy

Yeah this share was very high, I think it should still solve a block until the next halving and probably for more time!

I will let you know in some weeks when I will have detailed prices, and wish us a lucky block before the halving  Grin
782  Local / Mining (Deutsch) / Re: Solo Pool Miner Race on: December 14, 2023, 04:18:06 PM
hy paid2,

we know us, did you have changed your username? Other account? your "old" dream is done "paid of your house"? any new dreams, that we have to know?

your small dream to jump in and have also a englisch starting text is also done, hope my englisch (supported from deepl) is ok to understand all the text :-)
I'm excited to see what hashrate your miners achieve and have add the first picture from you.

Best regards,
Willi

Hello Willi,

In fact my username changed a few weeks ago, we do know each other, we were even lucky together at blockparty 30!  I wish we will be lucky again soon (here or in other runs like LTR or classic ones)!
My house has indeed been paid for, and the renovations have been completed. What's the new dream now?  Grin I don't really know, maybe a retirement funded entirely by BTC?  Grin Cool

Thank you so much for taking the time to translate the OP, dear Willi!
I'm really pleased that you're launching this project, I was looking for exactly that!

Definitely taking a spot, and when back at home, will point some hashrate here  Smiley

For those who are interested, I will import a good quantity of Bitaxe in EU (in late January 2024). If anyone wants to avoid taxes/customs, please let me know, I'll be happy to help my European solo miner friends  Smiley
783  Local / Mining (Deutsch) / Re: Solo Pool Miner Race on: December 14, 2023, 03:25:36 PM
Hello Willi  Smiley

Very nice project!

I can add some Bitaxes, and gekkosciences ASICs soon if you accept me  Smiley
Hello paid2,

yes you are welcome.
Please select your worker name with your username extension and a running number, uniq number for each miner

bc1qeuupt2tgerfum8jclt8aklu9cdmzzkwml9lg7c.paid2_1
bc1qeuupt2tgerfum8jclt8aklu9cdmzzkwml9lg7c.paid2_2
bc1qeuupt2tgerfum8jclt8aklu9cdmzzkwml9lg7c.paid2_3
etc...

We are happy about every new person who supports us and we would love it, if we can see some pictures of your mini mining farm  Grin

#################

Thank you  Cheesy

I am far of my ASICs right now, I am abroad. For now I only have a old photo of some Newpac (from my first account): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5340726.0 (it was a test, it is of course more clean now  Grin)

I will add x2 R606, x2 Newpac, 2x Bitaxe, 4x old Block Erupters, and 2x hashboard of Antminer R4 (4,8 th/s each) as soon as I can  Smiley
And of course, will post a photo!

May I kindly ask someone to translate the OP into English please ?  My German skills are not good and Google translate doesn't make a lot of sense  Embarrassed   I will be happy to send a small tip if anyone take time to do it  Smiley

786  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 13, 2023, 12:00:26 PM
Regardless of theymos' decision, this is also an interesting question for the authorities. Who is responsible here, the Jambler that provides the complete mixing service or the official mixer partner that only promotes that service?

Isn't that the question we all asked ourselves when Alexsey Pertsev (Tonardo dev) was sent to jail?
My opinion is still the same. I can use Jambler (for example) in a 100% legal way ; if people decides to go with the non-legal way, not my problem. Same with cars, knifes, meds etc...

Rules are clear and fair IMO, this is always cool to see this kind of services proposed to the community, I wish you good luck arabspaceship123  Smiley

All the communications we had together were always positive, I have no doubt that you will be a good lender!

793  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 279 blocks solved! on: December 12, 2023, 06:36:30 PM
ahh my apologies. i saw https://explorer.btc.com/btc/block/820833 and saw ckpool.

Yeah, you're right.

It is supposed to be this miner, and the funds are on his address:

https://solo.ckpool.org/users/1BnPfCyvgq7PD2Np6mTTLfdHatApiiRfsV

Best share 1,3T (on his worker page, on explorers it looks more realistic I mean > network diff ; a share of 106T), how is it possible ?

Strange no ?

Maybe pool stats are not updated?
794  Economy / Reputation / Re: Should Ratimov aka Symmetrick be in DT1? on: December 12, 2023, 02:19:44 PM
This was probably the fastest, steepest downfall of any well-established account, ever.

I can't believe he let what appeared to be a simple argument drag him all the way down to this level.

I also can't believe this thread has gone on for 19 pages, lol.

Was thinking the same.

Crazy when you realize that it started in AOBT topic. This is a good demonstration that when there's shit under the carpet, any little problem can bring it all back to the surface...
795  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Quite interesting - How long would it take for the average user to achieve Hero? on: December 12, 2023, 02:08:33 PM
How long would it take for someone who contributes often to get to this "Hero rank?"?

How about average users who don't often contribute? How long would it take for them to achieve the role? Any estimates?

In my case, I really started posting on the forum in November 2022. Before that date, I only had a few posts (about ~50, I think) and no more than 5-10 merits.
I've got about +1,200 merits since then, so it took me ~9-10 months to become Hero Member. I had enough merits too early, I missed some good activity points when I was still Sr.
Without activity it would have taken less time.

The hardest part isn't to get merits, but it's to gain activity.
I never post for quota or volume, but I do post a lot (often between 30 and 50 posts a week since I've been really active). But it's hard to get activity up, 14 by 14 is slow... (not complaining, I like the fact that to rank up takes some time)
796  Other / Archival / Re: ➡️➡️ [ANN] | [banned mixer] | BITCOIN MIXER ⬅️⬅️ on: December 12, 2023, 01:42:55 PM
So this mixer is operated by the state of Israel? Good to know, that means nobody should ever use this mixer.

I was not talking of the mixer itself, I don't want to spread false ideas.

I was talking of the wallet suggested by the mixer, Zengo.
797  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] [banned mixer] - Bitcoin Mixer | Sig Campaign | Up to $150/W on: December 11, 2023, 04:32:28 PM
I did everything I could so that each of you would still have a slot.

Thank you icopress for keeping things running smoothly, it's much appreciated.
798  Other / Archival / Re: ➡️➡️ [ANN] | [banned mixer] | BITCOIN MIXER ⬅️⬅️ on: December 11, 2023, 01:48:09 PM
And your #1 choice is "Zengo"? To start, cellphones are terrible for privacy, but worse than that, the website is filled with buzzwords that are typical for BS-sellers that try to convince gullible people. I wouldn't trust them with my funds!
If you want privacy, use Bitcoin Core with Coin Control through Tor. To add security, set it up as watch-only online wallet, and sign offline.
There's no need to trust or even pay third parties for this.

Absolutely.

Zengo looks shady IMO.

I am not familiar with "MPC wallets", I will check it later more in details, but I personnaly appreciate a lot to own my private keys.
It looks like they want to propose the exact opposite of the essence of Bitcoin itself:
TL;DR: “Not your keys, not your coins” has resulted in over $100 billion lost or stolen since the early 2010s. Zengo is the leading MPC wallet that secures over 1 million customers. Check it out, or read below to learn more about MPC wallets.

If you check their "privacy policy": https://zengo.com/privacy-policy/

You hereby expressly consent to personal jurisdiction in Israel and expressly waive any right to object to such personal jurisdiction or the non-convenience of such forum.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, we may lodge a claim against you pursuant to the indemnity clause above in any court adjudicating a third party claim against us.

I am not involved in Political stuff in general, I don't care about that. But when it comes to privacy, the State of Israel is not working in user's interests IMO. Which GPDR policy is protecting their users ? Isn't Israel know for building a lot of shady softwares stealing people data?

So, I should : give my email address, potentially a biometric data of my face, and others things (IP, communications etc..) to a company located in a country known to abuse of people's data ; all these things to "protect my BTC" from being lost or stolen?

Maybe I am ignorant, but I will stay with Bitcoin Core, Electrum, Trezor (and Tor). Open-source rules
