861  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] SINBAD.IO [Mix Your BTC Quickly] Signature Campaign | Up-to $225/w on: November 29, 2023, 04:22:28 PM
To all criminal users of former mixer Sinbad.io,
This is a collective warning issued by the Dutch Investigation Service for Financial and Tax Crime (FIOD) and the Dutch Public Prosecution Office.
Our investigation has uncovered illicit activities on this mixer platform and the logs obtained have compromised the anonymity of numerous users.
We urge all criminal users and admins of mixers to cease all unlawful actions immediately. Persistent engagement will lead to severe legal consequences. We are resolute in pursuing and prosecuting all involved in criminal activities.
Your anonymity is no longer assured. Law enforcement actions are imminent.
With Vigilance,
Dutch Investigation Service for Financial and Tax Crime (FIOD) and the Dutch Public Prosecution Office

I have some difficulties to believe that FIOD will pay a Copper membership to announce Sinbad is down on Bitcointalk...

Sinbad.io is really down from my side. Ok. But what about the possibility of an exit scam ? No official mention anywhere from Dutch services or Europol/Interpol ? Sounds strange.

EDIT : thanks for proofs. My bad.

863  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE RAFFLE] - Custom UniJoin Card, (S/N 6). Only by invitation! on: November 28, 2023, 12:28:46 PM
ANOTHER ONE....

Your AD says it is for bitcoin community. And it is FREE.
But then you have some weird rules that only certain people can qualify.

Take it easy

Their "ad" says : "Only by invitation!" too, this is visible even before you click on the topic  Wink

Who told you that you can use megabits of the forum space writing post's in public where almost everyone in that public is blocked from participation in this conversation/event?

Anyone with common sens would tell them to do it, of course. Do you know what Unijoin has produced for the community?
A reliable and honest service for months, they participate in the life of the forum by offering a stable and well-paid signature campaign, they write numerous interesting articles for the community, they offer raffles for free cards on a regular basis... What more do you need?

866  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 279 blocks solved! on: November 28, 2023, 11:24:10 AM
Yes that is correct my BTC address from Binance.

Wow man, this is very risky, as some exchangers refuse coins issued by the coinbase generation. IMHO you should install Electrum (from their official website, you can always verify the signature of the downloaded file) and mine with an address from it. Imagine you find a block by luck and your reward is seized/frozen by Binance ? It could be avoided only with 5 minutes to download and setup Electrum  Smiley

Potential life-changing amounts deserves to be your own funds ; as you may be not know the funds you have in your Binance accounts are not your property.

How can i do to have 1 valid share please ? Any instructions?

You just need to mine and nothing more, it takes usualy some seconds/minutes depending of your hashrate. With a Nerdminer it can take a very long time I guess.

Happy hashing!

My only contact there is a tax inspector, are you interested to meet him?
By any chance, don't you think that specifying exactly what you're looking for might give you a better chance of getting a proper answer?
868  Other / Archival / Re: 📌 [banned mixer] - Maximum Anonymity 🤖 Fees 1 - 5% on: November 27, 2023, 06:52:13 PM
Jabber? It looks so out-of-date! It's interesting to know how popular this communication method is among Webmixer’s clients. It certainly seems more anonymous than Telegram. But do many people remember how to set it up at all?

You could suggest something more modern, like SimpleX Chat or 0xChat, for instance. The latter operates based on Nostr, which is quite similar to Bitcoin. Anyone who mastered Bitcoin would easily navigate Nostr as well.

I have to confess that I still use Jabber on a daily basis lol

However, I was also surprised to read that the support is available on Jabber, which I think is good, because unlike Telegram, Jabber gives you much more control over your data.

+1 for SimpleX, which would be a great addition!
869  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: November 27, 2023, 06:45:20 PM
And speaking of new coins/networks, are you thinking of one day adding the Polygon-MATIC network on eXch?
It could be a good addition, especially for USDT and DAI, the fees on ERC20 are just crazy.
870  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Rate the safety of this mining setup on: November 27, 2023, 02:33:00 PM
What the hell is this

Too much wood, too much dust, and I wonder how they manage/control the airflow

No cable management at all, what a horror! Special mention to:

An installation small like that shouldn't be difficult to organise properly. I'll never understand people who don't respect their equipment, their investment and their safety...

I agree with phil, the first one looks more neglected than the second one, but both are globaly terrible

Sorry i'm new beginner in solo mining, i'm beginning on buying a lot of Nerdminers step by step and some Bitaxe miners then making all working in my home.

You should be careful: Bitaxe, Gekkoscience Compac F, R909, R606, Newpac, Apollo miners are able to find blocks, even despite a low hashrate (depending of the model from 50 gh/s to 1-2 Th/s)

I think that Nerdminers are totally useless if we talk of finding block, their hashrate is not more than a few kh/s.
Why not just use Bitaxe or Gekkoscience products ?
For the same energy used, you will have dozens of times more hashrate, and it will be cheaper to buy 1 R909 or 1 Compac F than buying multiple Nerdminers.

You will still learn as much as with Nerdminers, you will support a great team (sidehack from gekko is useful for the community for years, Bitaxe created the reality of DIY cheap hobby ASIC), and at least you will have a chance to find a block if you are lucky !

EDIT : Sorry, I was typing this reply when ck answered

Quote
How is Monero’s privacy different from other coins?

Monero uses three different privacy technologies: ring signatures, ring confidential transactions (RingCT), and stealth addresses. These hide the sender, amount, and receiver in the transaction, respectively. All transactions on the network are private by mandate; there is no way to accidentally send a transparent transaction. This feature is exclusive to Monero. You do not need to trust anyone else with your privacy.

876  Other / Archival / Re: 🌀 [banned mixer] - CoinJoin Mixer | Your Anonymity Is Our Priority! on: November 26, 2023, 02:10:05 PM
I am not sure if it would be necessary to open a new topic for such discussion, as it would be the third topic already about UniJoin: 1 for signature campaign, 1 is current one and another one would be the new started topic... Perhaps it would be too much?

I agree with Gazeta on this point.

I think it's good to have all this information centralised in one discussion. This way, users researching a potential scam will come straight to the official topic, which I think is more relevant than dividing the information between different topics.

It's true that there's been a lot of activity recently in relation to impersonators, but that's tending to calm down, and they seem to have changed their target, so it shouldn't dominate the topic any more.

Indirectly, it could also serve as a "useful bump" (I mean not just a "bump" message), which I think is positive.

879  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Why is my miner mining less date every day? on: November 26, 2023, 01:30:29 PM
I have a futurebit Apollo miner. Mines at about 3TH.

I bought it about a year and a half ago. Initially it mines about 1,000 sats a day. However, over time it kept going down. As of now it's averaging about 600 sats a day.

Why is it mining less? The halving hasn't happened yet

Also, I have been mining with Braiins pool the entire time, if that makes any difference

Your question = what is mining difficulty ?
You should read this:
https://www.bitcoinmining.com/what-is-bitcoin-mining-difficulty/

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Difficulty
Quote
What is "difficulty"?

Difficulty is a measure of how difficult it is to find a hash below a given target.

The Bitcoin network has a global block difficulty. Valid blocks must have a hash below this target. Mining pools also have a pool-specific share difficulty setting a lower limit for shares.

Difficulty is increasing as much as people are adding hashpower to the total network hashrate.
Difficulty can decrease too, if the total hashrate is decreasing.

You can look at the total hashrate for the last 3 years:

As you know, more hashrate = higher difficulty in order to keep a 10 minutes block interval.

So, for the same given hashrate, higher difficulty = your part of block rewards drops
