Smiley

Thank you.

63 - Koal-84

I didn't really want to enter again as I've already won one, but places aren't filling up quickly so I'll take these two slots if it's allowed? If I win again I would give them away in the German local area.

Of course, you can participate as many times as you want Smiley No matter if you already won or not, as the draw is random, there is no issue. Thank you for participating Smiley

Hello,
This is a little bit of a long shot. Would there be a person to lend a 100 euros with 10 percent interest and repayment date no later than 5th of April?

Stay safe

Do you have any valid collateral?

That's a very good observation, thanks cygan and thanks Porf for the PM. The onbly issue here is the topic is locked, thus we don't have acces to Rick's BBCode. However, I PMed him and kindly asked him to unlock the topic, in order to be able to access the BBCode too. This would make the update much easier.

If anyone need the BBCode I pasted it there: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5470848.msg63825515#msg63825515

Will update my translation asap.

Happy birthday to AOBT!!!

Welcome to the second edition of the Bitcointalk Pie Baking Contest!

I wasn't expecting that the first edition of this contest would get any noticeable steam when I first shared this idea[1]. Thankfully I am glad to say that last year edition had a great number of entries and totally surpassed my expectations. I considered it to be a great success but it was only because of the community support and engagement. Thank you all.
This year I have a new challenge: To surpass last year success. Without further due, I am glad to announce that the second edition of the Bitcointalk Pie Baking contest is now LIVE!
The aim of the contest is still the same - Celebrate the famous Pie day but instead replace the Pie number with our beloved bitcoin symbol.

Prize:

There won't be 1st, 2nd and 3rd place this year. Per some feedback from last year, it would be great that users could vote in more than one entry. Adding to that I also believe that in such system we should aim to avoid letting votes go to waste. In an effort to strike a balance between ranking entries and making every vote count, this year the voting system will be based on the single transferable voting system[2]. You can see a practical example of the method here[3].

The amount of bitcoin gathered during the event will be distributed equally between the three most voted pies.

Like last year everyone is free to contribute to the prize pool. If you want to contribute to the pot just let me know and I'll update the table below. Currently the prize pool holds the following funds:

New prize (collectible) addition as of 10th of March:
The great artwork posted by 1Dq gave me an idea of an additional prize - A contest inspired canvas collectible made in collaboration with 1Dq! The artwork will be kept in secret and only myself and 1Dq will know the final result. That is, until the winner receives it and (hopefully) posts it!

Here is the main information:
  • Canvas size: 30x40cm/12x15in (frame not included)
  • The pool of winners of this collectible will be one of the 3 users that will share the podium;
  • The winner of the collectible will be chosen using bitmover Bitcointalk Giveaway Manager;
  • If the winner of the giveaway declines to receive the award, then another draft will be made using the same tool for the remaining 2;
  • If no winner accepts the award, then it shall be made a giveaway between all other entries to the contest;
  • This process will repeat until someone accepts the collectible.

Prize Pool:

UsernameAmount (BTC)

RickDeckard0.003
════════════════════
PowerGlove0.003
════════════════════
UserU0.001

════════════════════

Contest rules:

  • Pie must be made by yourself and the theme should be Bitcoin related. Check out last year entries[4] if you are unsure if your entry will be qualified or not.
  • The definition of a pie, per Merriam-Webster, states:
Code:
a: a dessert consisting of a filling (as of fruit or custard) in a pastry shell or topped with pastry or both
  • Any entry that doesn't follow the mentioned characteristics will not be counted for the contest.
  • In order to be qualified you should post a picture containing your homemade pie + a piece of paper with your username and date. At least 2 more pictures should be taken during the making of the pie to ensure that it wasn't bought;
  • Only 1 entry per user (you're free to include any number of pies on your picture);
  • Competition will be held in two phases:
    • 1st Phase - From 14th February (00:00 GMT) to 14th of March (23:59:59 GMT) : This is where all the users are free to submit their entries -> Live Countdown
    • 2nd Phase - Voting process from 15th of March to 29th of March (23:59:59 GMT) 17th of March to 31th of March (23:59:59 GMT). Winner shall be announced on the 2nd of April.
      • During this phase, users are allowed to rank their entries in order of preference until a limit of 4. You are free to edit the vote until the 2nd phase ends.
      • Users that do not support more that one entry are free to vote in just one entry. You just can't surpass the limit of 4 (suffice to say, entries ranked above the 4th choice will not be considered).
      • No merit sending is allowed from nominees to users which nominated them
  • Independently of the submissions that we have, the prize pool will be distributed between the winners;

Who can participate & vote?:

  • Users with 30 merit (airdrop merit won't count) and 30 activity.

296  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 280 blocks solved! on: March 18, 2024, 12:24:51 PM
So i order to find a block my best share must be 83,947,913,181,362.00?

Absolutely, your share need to be = or > to the current BTC difficulty (and you need a decent latency too to avoid to have an orphan block)
297  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 2% fee solo mining 280 blocks solved! on: March 18, 2024, 11:41:03 AM
I'm solo mining with ckpool, my best share is: ''bestshare": 1681299917.373856''

What does that mean?

For now Bitcoin difficulty is: 83,947,913,181,362.00
Your best share is:                         1,681,299,917.37

So, it means that your best share is far away of being enough for a BTC block, thus no reward for now.

Bonjour/soir.

Est-ce qu'il y a quelque chose de rentable à miner sur PC avec une RTX 2080 super ?

Non pas vraiment malheureusement, surtout si tu paies ton électricité...

Dans "GPU", "Show more" tu as les 2080 ici si tu veux check toi-même : https://whattomine.com/
