1801  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Banned in Australia on: April 07, 2023, 01:16:23 PM
Are there any cryptocurrency trading platforms licensed in Australia? Binance is unfortunately benefiting from its reputation in dominating the market, but with the increase in regulators accusing Binance of manipulating the futures market and the lack of an alternative, I expect that these allegations are relatively true.

Maybe they should hold off on futures contracts for a while.
1802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think low processing fees is more beneficial for merchants? on: April 07, 2023, 12:59:48 PM
But there are payment gateways who charge the lowest amount like, one payment gateway only charges 0.23% processing fees on transaction. I find it very attractive because merchants will get more from it and it will be more beneficial for them eventually.

Can you share the name of that platform and the coins you provide? Because their price is very low and therefore they either provide service to a large number of people or get money by manipulating the exchange rate, where you are given a lower exchange rate than you are supposed to get (hidden fees)

1803  Other / Meta / Re: seems like a bug on: April 07, 2023, 12:46:58 PM
but is it normal to have this type of problem or event (no word in mind)?
If you visit their pages such as https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3526239, updating merits requires some time. I do not know how much time, but it takes some time.
when you see the merits on the topic, the update is immediate. Nobody else noticed it, so I don't think it's bug.
1804  Economy / Economics / Banks are dumping US Dollars and Buying Gold on: April 07, 2023, 12:35:46 PM

JUST IN: 🗺 The World foreign exchange reserves fell by a record $958 billion US dollars in 2022, while world official gold reserves went up by a record 1,136 tonnes.

It is true that the numbers are still far from the total supply of the US dollar, but all things can change with the passage of years or the occurrence of a major event such as what is happening now in terms of political blocs.

1806  Economy / Economics / Re: [Summary]Things to be considered for a possible market crash on: April 06, 2023, 04:13:45 PM
The market always carries bad aspects and positive aspects, so news is selective and trying to compare it with models such as what happened in 1969 and 1974 is wrong. Even comparing it to the global financial crisis in 2008 is wrong because the economy has changed dramatically since that time and what happened in the past is completely different from what will happen in the future. .

It is true that some countries have begun to think seriously about the existence of alternatives to the dollar, but bitcoin is still the number one reserve currency, and all plans will not change this dominance during the next 5 years, unless a world war occurs.
1807  Economy / Economics / Swiss Government-Owned Bank PostFinance to Offer Customers bitcoin and ether on: April 06, 2023, 03:12:07 PM
Quote
PostFinance, Switzerland’s fifth-largest financial services firm, says it will begin offering its users access to cryptocurrency, thanks to a partnership with regulated digital asset services provider Sygnum Bank.

PostFinance, which is owned by the Swiss government, will start by providing its 2.5 million customers access to buy, store and sell leading cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin (BTC) and ether (ETH), with more crypto-tokens to be added in due course.

Switzerland marches to the beat of its own drum and stands in stark contrast to places like the U.S., where a concerted effort to stamp crypto out seems to be the end goal. Crypto-focused Sygnum, which attained a banking license from Swiss regulators some four years ago, caters to a range of institutions, including Cantonal banks and private banks.

“Digital assets have become an integral part of the financial world, and our customers want access to this market at PostFinance, their trusted principal bank,” said PostFinance Chief Investment Officer Philipp Merkt in a statement. “A reputable and established partner like Sygnum Bank with an excellent service offering is more important than ever.”

The decision by PostFinance to branch into crypto was partly driven by outflows from retail banks in Switzerland into the digital asset class, according to Fritz Jost, chief B2B officer, Sygnum Bank.

Switzerland's goal appears to stand in contrast to what is happening in the United States, where the ultimate goal appears to be a concerted effort to crack down on cryptocurrency.
It seems that their motive for this is that they notice that there are a large number of financial flows to cryptocurrency exchanges and instead of blocking them, it is better to provide a better and regulated service, which is better for everyone.

1808  Economy / Economics / Re: Saudi Arabia and OPEC Reveal Surprise Oil Production Cut on: April 06, 2023, 03:00:08 PM
Recession fears are what pushes OPEC to continue cutting production, although I do not expect Russia to comply with that cut.
Oil prices are below $100, which is what the OPEC countries and even oil producers in the United States want, and it does not seem that there is much opposition to this trend, even in Europe.
The current problem is in gas prices, which is outside the authority of OPEC, but oil prices are now very low compared to inflation and what is happening in the world in terms of apprehensions.

1810  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did I can make platform without KYC verification on: April 06, 2023, 02:23:36 PM
I remember several years ago there was a similar platform whose principle of operation was simple, as it was converting bank and PayPal into Bitcoin, the idea is as follows:

  • You buy virtual currency inside the platform, for example, by Xcoin using PayPal.
  • Within that platform, you can switch between that virtual currency to Bitcoin.
  • You can withdraw bitcoin.

There is no direct conversion between bitcoin to PayPal, but rather the use of an intermediary currency.

This website has been working for several years but they stopped due to regulations as the company's bank accounts were banned.

But the definition of the word "active" will determine whether it has been active in the last 10 years, 5 years, or 2 years.
What will we gain from such topics? What would you do if you found out who he was? Are you going to send him a private message or what?
1812  Economy / Exchanges / Re: many CEXs faces strongest regulatory pressure, will you use CEXs/CEXs/TEXs? on: April 06, 2023, 01:59:50 PM
Are there many true DEXs? Most claim to be decentralized but they are centralized at one point or another.
I do not have knowledge about Transparency Exchanges, but any new term that appears is to deceive new users, given that when people search for alternatives, they will urge to try any new alternative.

For the real decentralized platforms to continue, we need to increase liquidity and thus use while waiting for a longer period, and therefore it is suitable for those who want to transfer on a weekly basis and not for daily trading.

Withdraw your money from the central platforms until this crisis ends.
1813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whitepaper Hidden in every Modern Copy of macOS on: April 06, 2023, 01:16:28 PM
I don't know, but most Apple device users don't dig deep into the system to read hidden files, most of the use is for design or to exploit the device's features.
The question must be presented to Apple. If they know, then this is a problem, and if they do not know, then the problem is greater.
Wouldn't they face any legal problem, at least in the UK, in which the Bitcoin white paper seems to be outlawed.
1814  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is it good to rely on order books or depth charts on: April 05, 2023, 02:17:48 PM
Depth charts are a way to see the market with a deeper look than order books, or more precisely, to see the sequence of orders, including a point where the average is most likely in the short term.
But you cannot rely on them without developing a detailed strategy because in the end they are tools that are used within a strategy and are closer to short-term or daily trading after identifying technical indicators such as support and resistance levels.

For beginners depth charts are the best, isn't it easy to see changes in a chart like this?

1815  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think Bitcoin will hit $1 million for the first time? on: April 05, 2023, 01:41:53 PM
Just for fun, since this is the Speculation forum, when do you think Bitcoin will hit $1 million USD for the first time?
Creating such topics will not provide anything. Indeed, it is most likely that we will witness these prices after more than 10 years, but with the events and variables that occur globally, it is difficult to predict what will happen within 10 years (who would have predicted in 2013 that a war would occur in Ukraine and a global pandemic and that oil would be zero in futures contracts is less than zero)

Therefore, the hypothesis that we will get a price 10 years ago is excluded, and the hypothesis of predicting what will happen after 10 years is excluded.

There is an additional problem is that inflation will make the million dollars an amount that the average person can easily obtain, which is another dilemma in the feasibility of that prediction.
1816  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What can be the best way of controlling emotions while trading ? on: April 05, 2023, 01:14:02 PM
What can be the best way of controlling emotions while trading ?
The repetition of something makes it normal in our lives, and if the thing is normal, then the role of feelings in it is less. When you drive the car for the first time, you are nervous, and you may even fail to make it work because of the tension, but when you get used to driving the car, you will be able to operate it without the slightest effort.

Therefore, trading and continuing with it is what makes your feelings distant, or at least reduces their impact. Either reading a book, listening to advice, or trying modeling and other methods will only increase your fear of losing. This fear makes your feelings control you in trading.

To take away what I said:

  • Start now, and do not think about reading a book or watching a video that talks about the impact of feelings.
  • Do not invest more than you can lose.
  • Keep learning and investing, whatever your losses.

1817  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Discussion: Who is going to fill the gap of Chipmixer by the end of year 2023? on: April 05, 2023, 12:39:13 PM
No one can know how many people use these services and whether the mixer was profitable or not? Are they really looking for profits or are they running a money laundering service and therefore the discussion on the subject is useless.

The thing we can discuss is the continuity of signature campaigns related to mixing services during this year. Right now we have:
Unijoin, MixTum, Sinbad, Coinomize, Yo!Mix, but which of these campaigns will last until the end of the year or, for example, the 100th week or the 200th week?

It would be helpful if someone generated a topic about the average duration of mixer signature campaigns and the probability that those campaigns will continue after the 10th week.

As for privacy, I personally see that most people here do not care about it in exchange for profits.
1818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Project Feedback on: April 05, 2023, 12:25:58 PM
By harnessing blockchain protocols we allow our web3 community to fund the development of real-world assets all through our self-serve platform; moving away from reliance on traditional institutions, we give the power of lucrative development financing to the people.
initial feedback are always about an implemented project, not a discussion of ideas, especially if the ideas are general and ambitious, such as real estate development in one of the largest economies in the world, or general terms such as blockchain protocols.

Many ideas did not succeed in linking cryptocurrencies with real reality, but they succeeded as methods of bank transfers, or let me be kind, the blockchain as a useless technology and was not applied in a way that achieves economic benefit except in Bitcoin and a few digital currencies.

Attempting to develop new systems on the blockchain is questionable compared to the available technology (in terms of speed, cost.)

1820  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Wallet - Login Help Needed on: April 03, 2023, 02:07:29 PM
I need help with Electrum... I lost my computer data and had to re-set my computer and reinstall Electrum. Originally, I had Electrum 2.8.2 and created 2 accounts with the same seed. I have the seed for the first wallet which is default_wallet. I restored this wallet using the seed and it's working.
As far as I understand, your money has been fully recovered, even if you access the second file and know the password, that file "deafault_wallet1" is nothing but "deafault_wallet" encrypted with a different password.
It is like accessing your account through a bank branch or through an application on your phone, regardless of the method, you have one account and several ways to access it.
