1841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should there be any age limit of Gambling? on: July 29, 2020, 09:41:25 AM
I think 18 will be the age for a person to mature in gambling, this is the time when a person can think deep and have realization especially in gambling. Also, age should be regulated for the sake of the gambler itself. There are possibilities that this might affect a person not only financially but mentally if it is too young to experience gambling.
Even 18 is not enough to be considered as a mature in my opinion but most of the countries allows people over 18 to gamble and it changes depends upon the country where you are living.I had seen 5 year as legal age to gamble on a country not remember the name of it but read somewhere on bitcointalk. But definitely we should have an age limit to restrict the kids ruining their parents bank balance knowingly or unknowingly.
Age limit should be very important when it comes to gambling. The point in here mostly gambling site do not require a kyc to join their site and play. As to how an online casino can verify if the player is below 18? It just came to my mind though, but the parents of a minor should supervise their kids to stay away from gambling. Therefore, the age limit is incredibly essential in the gambling industry.
Most of the gambling sites have terms in their condition which mention about age limit as well and every user have to self declare that they are over 18 to access the site which same goes to adult websites as well. And its not their job to monitor the people's age limit, if they found a minor playing then they will simply block their accounts.
And how can they possibly do that? Most gambling sites do not perform kyc verification nor investigation regarding the age of their users. Even if they have terms and conditions, this can be easily ignored. And, if ever that they have found a minor, which I don't think that will gonna happen (unless they have kyc), user can easily create a new account to play again.

1843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best welcome offer for you? on: July 20, 2020, 11:45:16 AM
First, let's jump ahead to welcome offer and skip the legit or not legit. Let's just assume that the site is legit, so for me the best welcome bonus offer is I am not picky as long as the welcome offer is decent and does not require more requirements except depositing crypto which is what most people do to get bonus.
As far as I know, most gambling sites who offer bonuses will really require you to depositing first to be enabled for the bonus. It is not a bad requirement as long as you see that the website is legit. Giving bonuses once you have deposited is the best welcome for me, before most of the time, the bonus doesn't end at first, there are times that bonuses will continue as long as you are active.
1844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies are safer with top altcoins on: July 20, 2020, 11:12:29 AM
Newbies really need to know about investments and altcoin held, especially those who don't understand the analysis and look at the charts on the exchange, so it's better to top the top 10 coins from CMC, it will be better if you look at developments in the market.
I do agree, they really need a lot of time to learn and know what investment they should make. In top altcoins, it will be better because those are the altcoins that are not easy to collapse. They are good for short term and long term investment.
1845  Economy / Economics / Re: returning to normal on: July 20, 2020, 10:40:51 AM
There is no turning back to the lives that we have before, we should able to accept and face the reality that we re now in the new normal where all of the people outside of their house are required to wear face mask to lessen the spread of the virus. Many businesses are now permanently closed and it is sad because there are a lot of people who lose their job not only in my country but in the rest of the world.
Yes, what we have before will never come back to what we have right now. We should accept it and continue to move forward and let's hope that everything will be alright sooner. Even if we cannot go back to our lives before, as long as we can make it safe and healthy once this was all done.
1846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Next bitcoin memorable dates on: July 20, 2020, 10:05:27 AM
All of those years mentioned are not proven because all are only hypothetical. There are many things that could happen that will affect the date of those events. Ther is no person who can predict the things that will happen in the future. We all have our own standard or basis on the events, it will only differ on what will we trust. Anyway, I am hoping that all those events will happen it would benefit us a lot.
Of course, those dates are just a prediction and there is no one who can prove it because no one can travel through time. There are really a lot of things that might happen, and maybe these predictions will really happen and not at the same time.
1847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fill your bag with caution on: July 20, 2020, 07:51:22 AM
I am always telling people the same thing,,, to really be honest with themselves and ask if the project is truly being a beneficial one for the society and the user. For me, it is also very important to have your own belief in the project, because even if the project has 100 good use cases but YOU do not believe in it and YOU do not ever want to use it,,, then it is pointless.
That's true because this is the only for us to analyze whether if a certain project has a future or not. There are times that people most likely invest only because other people invest in it or it was being advertised by some influential people without thinking and analyzing if it is the right investment.
1848  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 effect on your country's economy!!! on: July 20, 2020, 02:46:58 AM
It has a huge effect on our country the same as the other countries. Even though the infrastructures start their operation again, we are still facing a hard time recovering the economy. Due to the messy decision making of our government, there are so many mistakes that have been done that's why our country's economy is not in good shape.
1849  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying food or groceries with Bitcoin on: July 20, 2020, 02:02:42 AM
Transaction is a factor because there is delay sometimes but it is not the major reason why many merchants are still not preferred to accept bitcoin as mode of payment. In groceries, customers want faster payment system and I think it is the reason why they now prefer to use digital currencies. The volatility of the bitcoin is the main factor why store owners are still doesn't want to accept bitcoin in their system because they understand the risk and how will price affect their business.
Yes, setting aside the slow transactions, because even if it does not send instantly, the positive thing about having bitcoin as payment is it is irreversible. I agree with you that the volatility might be the main factor why businesses do not want to accept bitcoin because even the slightest change in price will make them lose some of their money.
1850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto.com investment legit and safe? on: July 19, 2020, 05:39:40 PM
I have also seen this because of their ads, and that is when I know that this is the previous MCO. MCO is a project that was also launched in this forum, it was a success and many actually supported the project. This may be a legit project but you should conduct more research and do not invest so easily.
1851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker games that are providing free plays to earn real money on: July 19, 2020, 04:57:05 PM
Do not believe it.

It is not possible to earn $1000 or more using free money. That guy is lying or he might have invested his own money and created the impression with his friends that he is playing with free money.
Yeah, it is hard to believe that he won that much money by only playing free plays. Unless he can show us some proof of his withdrawal that can prove that he actually win using free money and not invested his own money to win that much.
1852  Economy / Economics / Re: China economy and how they handle Covid-19. on: July 19, 2020, 04:12:40 PM
~
I can't just say that all of the people are just a scheme of the government. There are a lot of families lost here, people tending with the virus that died and I don't think they are just a "political game". You relatives are following protocols and taking care of themselves. This is not a joke nor a game, it is a pandemic.
And we can't tell whether if this COVID-19 was really planned or a man-made virus by China. But yes, this is not a political game, it cost so much not only in one country, but the whole world is suffering due to this pandemic. Maybe his relatives are not suffering by now, he should be grateful, but now one is still safe from this virus.
1853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They say hardware wallets are the safest on: July 17, 2020, 12:32:19 PM
Why do they say that? Correct me if I'm wrong. Isn't, hardware wallet, a hardware like usb, that generates private keys without being online on the internet?

Why do I not like them? Because, in addition with a txt file that you can encrypt with many ways and save it in many places, if your hardware stops working, you're a dead man. And you're going to fix it somewhere? Not that recommended. If you're a paranoid of course.

Prove me wrong, by not telling me the cons of software wallet. Prove me wrong, by telling me the pros of hardware wallet.
If your hardware stops working, there is an option where you can restore your wallet from the recovery phrase. Maybe you don't fully know hardware wallets that's why you don't like it or maybe you still don't get one to try if it is really the safest or not.
1854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Three phases bounty distribution on: July 16, 2020, 11:45:36 AM
There are disadvantages for bounty hunters if this will be implemented in every project.
-The value of it in the market will surely decrease over time.
-It is possible that the upcoming payments of bounty hunters to receive won't arrive.
-The money that they are expecting won't be received in full.

These are some of it, I have experienced this before and it is not good for bounty hunters. Also, bounty hunters are not the one who's at fault for the dump of coins in the market, they only hold a little amount of token from the total supply (around 1-5%). I don't think that it will highly affect the market price.
1855  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to recover funds from bitcoin scam on: July 16, 2020, 10:59:27 AM
I suggest you to not invest on such sites anymore and to never give personal details of your transactions or crypto currency balances to strangers.
When you have an issue like that to solve, look for trusted people to help you, that is very important.
There is a lot of scammers around trying to re-scam people who has been scammed recently, as they were an easy target for their shady approaches... Stay alert and don't even reply messages like that. Let scammers talking by themselves.
I agree. It is not recommended to ask random people just to ask for them to help you. There are lots of scammers around, they are always in the corner waiting for someone to become their victim. It is best to not to trust anyone so easily and avoid doing transactions so easily.
1856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BetBit Casino Gone? on: July 16, 2020, 10:14:13 AM
Does anyone have any information about this?
Unfortunately, seems like no one knows any information regarding BetBit. Even in their official thread, there is no update, the same as their support, no one is answering. I am afraid that they totally shut down because of its quite some time since they became active.
1857  Economy / Economics / Re: How long will it take banks to phase out physical cash completely? on: July 13, 2020, 07:41:06 AM
The government can easily phase out physical cash if they want to, and if all people would agree to this. But the problem is, it won't be easy to do that for now, knowing that millions of people are still dependent and highly relying on paper money. Moving to digital cash needs a lot of time and preparation because not everyone affords digital cash and payment.

Many places and countries are getting left behind when it comes to technological adoption so digital cash isn't accessible for them. Even with the pandemic, I don't think the government will find it as a reason to phase out physical cash. Even with the virus spreading, we can't deny that majority are still using paper cash in day to day transactions because it's much convenient. Completely adapting to the digital method will take us a long time before we can see that.
It is only if the government will actually wants to do it. The government might be the first one to object to this topic, even if we are developing and seems ready to do cashless transactions, I really doubt that the government will allow this to happen, they might probably disagree of phasing out physical cash if this was discussed.
1858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Always look at the coins MAX supply on: July 13, 2020, 06:50:31 AM
In my opinion, the quality of the coins is prioritized, there are also many coins which have a large supply and are able to compete with the top coins today such as DOGE Coin.
I think doge is different from the new projects that have the large supply, doge is an old coin and we can't deny that this is really a quality coin. But those who are a newly built project that has a large maximum supply, I doubt that they can compete with top altcoins in the market.
1859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your favorite crypto for gambling? on: July 13, 2020, 05:48:18 AM
Whenever I play gambling I only use bitcoin, even though the fee is much higher than using doge or xrp I still use it. I just don't feel like using another crypto than bitcoin when it comes to playing gambling, but maybe in the future, I'll try using those altcoins that has lower transaction fees.
1860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't this the best time for Bitcoin? on: July 13, 2020, 05:05:40 AM
I don't think so, bitcoin is yet to be accepted in many countries. Also, there are already a number of ways on how you can do transactions without using fiat. People are already having transactions online through the use of online services such as Paypal, I don't think that people will just use bitcoin because of the said reason.
