1861  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How does bitcoin finely change the difficulty target..? on: July 13, 2015, 07:46:09 PM
The notion with "zeros at the beginning" is clear to understand and thus often used in explanations, but not fully correct.  The actual condition is "hash below a certain target value".  In this way, the difficulty (usually expressed as 1/target) can be changed almost arbitrarily and with more gradual steps than just doubling/halving.

AHHH, can you go into that a little more, what do you mean by under a certian target?

1862  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NY Law Requires Consent from Both Parties During Every Step of Foreplay... on: July 13, 2015, 07:31:43 PM
This is all about making men second class citizens by making it possible to send any man to prison based on some one's word alone. This has nothing to do with protecting people from sexual assault. This is a direct result of the female supremacy movement that also likes to call itself feminism.

Jake is always guilty. Just look at those creepy eyes...

Wow is that an actual advertisement?

Yes... there are a bunch of "women" on my facebook supporting it.....................
1863  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / How does bitcoin finely change the difficulty target..? on: July 13, 2015, 06:57:03 PM
I have done some reading into mining, it seems the difficulty is based on finding a hash that has X amount of zeros at the start.  If this is the case can't the difficulty really only be changed by rather largely up or down..?

Find a hash with 17 zeros at the start vs 16 is a large difficulty jump, how does the difficulty only change a bit?
1864  Economy / Speculation / Re: I hate myself -_- on: July 13, 2015, 04:56:37 PM
If you can afford to lose the cash IMO just hold UNLESS you have the time to day trade.

You could make some real profits day trading but you need a lot of time.

Sorry, I thought losing this cash would hurt you financially.
1865  Economy / Speculation / Re: I hate myself -_- on: July 13, 2015, 04:00:26 PM
You lost $4..

Leave BTC and never return.. if you shit your pants over $4 Bitcoin is just not for you.

why tf are some of you well established forum members so hateful/arrogant towards new members who are just experiencing the same emotional stress as almost all of us did in the bitcoin past at some point ?   is that the path to get more users on the bitcoin rocket ?

Yes indeed, well said.

Instead of scaring away new people we should embrace/welcome them.

He lost some money for some people its a laugh but maybe hes a student or whatever and still a loss is a loss.

Learn from this, and read / investigate about markets before you put money in it.

so $4 isn't much and yes I'm just a student , I asked for an advice here so I would know what to do if it was more money that's all and for god sake I'm still learning don't be harsh on me  Sad .

Edit: as a student I live with 3 other students in a rented room ,and  I can manage to live on $4 for two days with two meals every day ,so yeah.

Bitcoin is an EXTERMELY risky investment.... if you need $4 for food and you are dumping $50 into BTC... I only see me being a complete dick as useful.  You need a big cup of wake up juice.

If you cannot afford to lose every single penny you put into BTC you shouldn't be touching it.

And when we convince him to put in $500 and BTC drops to $100 and he comes here spewing out he has a laywer and is going to try to sue people for misguiding him.. what then?

I am not interested in getting users into BTC that are going to tell everyone how horrible it is and how it ruined their lives when they lose 50% of their investment that doesn't help us at all.
1867  Economy / Speculation / Re: 300 was broken with low volume. ~315 double top. High borrowing on bitfinex on: July 13, 2015, 02:39:57 PM
Potential bear trap.....  Perfect timing for one..

Greece "keeps in the Euro".. what a joke.

Smash the price down and get short sells back into shorting, trigger your trap... sell on the high.

ALTHOUGH:  I think we wil go down and steady out around 230-260
1868  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reality check time on: July 13, 2015, 02:36:53 PM
Are you count $299 or 280 as "$200" or do you mean 199-200.

If you mean $200.. doubtful, there is this country called China, I hear they are a pretty big ecom looking for secondary investments.

If he did it would be him scolding americans for using it, he is a serious fuck tard.
1871  Other / Off-topic / Re: why do we have laws on: July 13, 2015, 01:47:33 PM
What if we just took away the cops for one moment and see what would happen.  Someone commits a crime, then what?

We could work together as a team to take out the man.

This was the american dream... Free from oppression from the gov...  No man would have power over another, the people would enforce the laws not a pig that has been given power to rape people and get the perosn they raped charged with assult..

They've made people think the dream actually was for everyone to own a house.. what a fucking joke... when America was created everyone knew how to make a house.
1872  Economy / Speculation / Re: No Grexit, Bitcoin Price Tumbles on: July 13, 2015, 01:11:14 PM
I think most people could tell a sharp correction was due, especially after going to $310 yesterday afternoon.  This is the normal process when btc price begins to run up.  Also another reason I didn't buy in yet.  The market is so easily and quickly controlled, it seems that events like the greek default have some play into the price, but moreso its just whales who have control and time the price pumps/dumps to coincide with excitement around these events.

The only way the Greek "default" had played a role in the market is the "whales" manipulation of the market advantage in doing so.... otherwise there is no correlation between Greece and bitcoin... there would of been no reason to.

I think it played into the situation in the sense that collectively everyone is expecting a large increase when entire countries are being kept from their bank deposits.  Maybe the money isnt coming from greece, but people around the world see these situations, and collectively "pump" the price, hoping for a run up.  Then anyone happy with their gains from $250-$310 can cash out, and that starts a windfall, always happening in the course of a few hours.

To me thats the scariest thing about holding btc, it can and will drop in a matter of hours.

You know what you should truly be worried about though besides those points ... Should Be For When "smart money" moves out and the market can no longer sustain liquidity for cashing out your bitcoins and  you are stuck holding meaningless hashed characters. At that point everyone is looking at others if they still see and value it enough to buy your "hashed characters" for a certain price. That is true fear and is really scary!

You should really be buying out Sr. mem accounts to do your FUD.
1873  Economy / Speculation / Re: Banks are now Open. Rough start. -9% ! on: July 13, 2015, 01:08:15 PM
Most people in greece don't know how to turn on a computer :S...

CHINA is what we should be watching..... so much money from China in the market.. their stockmarket hurting..
1874  Economy / Speculation / Re: I am short... on: July 13, 2015, 01:06:09 PM
Potential bear trap, short all you want but don't come crying if you get murdered.
1875  Economy / Speculation / Re: bear trap on: July 13, 2015, 01:04:02 PM

 Grin
We already have passed the mania phase!
I cant see bitcoin rise again to 1000+
We will see some pump and dumps in the range of 250-500 and thats all
This graph will conitnue to repeat it's self.. probably 3 more times.
1876  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to 1200-1300 within a month. on: July 13, 2015, 01:02:34 PM
i dont think bitcoin will reach $600 before 2017

I predict the euphoria over giving Greece another $60 billion will be short lived. I also feel confident Bitcoin will hit $600 before year end.
Most of the world is in SERIOUS debt trouble. Greece and Puerto Rico are the tip of the iceberg, and the lemmings haven't come to grips with reality yet.

Anyone that does the math knows the bail out is just a big fucking joke, only a moron would move money into greece.
1877  Economy / Economics / Re: Greece gets "Get out of jail free card" Bail out deal reached! on: July 13, 2015, 12:58:59 PM
SO they kick the can farther down the road.. the idea they can pay off the debt is hilarious.  Only a complete and utter retarded could think it's possible, or someone corrupt as fuck that knows they can't and want's it to be someone else is problem...

Pigs rule the euro... massive massive pigs that can't stop eating.

1880  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTCjam - Any Thoughts or Experiances on: July 10, 2015, 11:02:37 PM
I'm leaving BTCJam forever, putting my money here was one of the many mistakes I made with my bitcoins that ultimately made me end up with 1/5 of the bitcoins I once had.
Here is the final view of all my investments there at the moment that I'm withdrawing the rest of the bitcoin that are left in my wallet, I don't expect to recieve anything else from the people who defaulted anymore.

I'm not saying that everyone is going to lose money there, this is just my personal experience using this site.

You should of assumed a default rate and played the loans accordingly.....
