1941  Economy / Exchanges / Re: https://crypto-exch.com/ ? on: February 04, 2023, 11:34:54 AM
I end up replying this thread coz to i saw this thread on my spam folder from forum's notification (as the thread's subject is the same as email's subject).

Well, gmail is right, such site should be considered as spam. Just like what others are saying such scheme is obviously a scam attempt. No legit exchange will do the same.

Hi, I will be honest with you, it's really cool but it's a bit hard to memorize all of that.😂 nevertheless nice thing to use when needed. If only theymos could implement this type of code insertion so we wouldn't have to type everything by hand, especially for people using mobile devices.
Thanks. Yeah, but i don't think you should memorize this things/URLs, you can visit this thread to check things up. But yeah that's the struggle, only if theymos will implement such thing but i doubt he will.
1943  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Etsy - but with Bitcoin on: February 03, 2023, 11:45:16 PM
We have a known ecommerce marketplace here in my local like etsy(Shopee) accepting bitcoin, but im not so sure they will be available in other parts of the world other than South East Asia.

I hope that one of the developers and web designers will create a marketplace like Etsy for Bitcoin and for crypto in the future, it would be frankly a great and good idea for the crypto community.
There are lot of online marketplace has been made that mainly accept bitcoin but the main problem is people don't use it for many reasons, including the higher service fee, low marketing effort of the owner that results to lesser buyers and seller, reputation, etc.
1944  Economy / Speculation / Re: My fear in fall of Bitcoin. on: February 03, 2023, 06:27:28 PM
Just like the higher the number of people that purchase Bitcoin the lower it's price and for it price to go higher it requires some Bitcoin investors, traders and miner's to withdraw some percentage of their Bitcoin.
Better to learn more how supply and demand works because what you said is completely the opposite of it.

Your doubt doesn't affect the others so just keep it yours. Maybe i will understand you when the price was early december last year when it keep dumping because of many reasons, but for this time when just break $23k, i dont think so.

1946  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Deposit is fucked up... What CENTRALIZED database bullshitt do they use on: February 03, 2023, 03:15:56 PM
Try to contact them on any possible way, they are active on their social media accounts so sending message on their social media handles at least in twitter[1] and post also in their subreddit[2] page might help instead of complaining here where they don't have active representative.

1947  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BTA.lk - Official unofficial Bitcointalk short links on: February 03, 2023, 09:41:19 AM
Was it using Let's Encrypt to get its certificates in the first place?
I don't remember. I also tried to check bta.lk on Internet Archive, but they don't archive such information.
The site was using Sectigo Cert. It was probably the free SSL certificate provided by namecheap (as its hosting) when the domain was bought last year.

Yeah, Let's Encrypt is a huge help for an expired ssl cert, that should be included to the plan.

1948  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Street Selfie? Why all these crazy requirements in the name of KYC verification? on: February 02, 2023, 11:29:14 PM
Yes, cloudbet will decline your selfie. I live in a condo and there is no street sign on the street with the name and I sent them selfie from my balcony with newspaper and today date and ID, and still they declined. Cloudbet is simply joke, and all that for funny amount of money to be mentioned
D*mn, so they really still doing this kind of sh*t.

I've never been asked by a bank to provide more than my ID at the counter
Applying bank accounts in person at the counter is always been easy in any bank at least in my place 1-2 ID is enough, unlike making an account online where lots of requirement is needed probably because digital files can be forged.
1949  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Few Trusted Escrow Provider on: February 02, 2023, 11:13:38 PM

I have not yet excluded based on the inactive only (I have removed based on inactive+red trust and/or only based on red trust or only based on the lock announcement thread). Soon (next week probably) I will update based on the inactive and I will consider an inactive user who is inactive for at least 90 days.
Fair thought. But i would have put at least a "NSA" = Not Sure if Active or something similar status or just remove them temporarily or what.

Because escrows should be very responsible to update their ann threads at the very least to let their future clients knows their status. As their name goes up in every escrow list, scammers will find ways to copy them and find victims. Escrow list thread can help preventing such things to happen in some way.

But fact that significant number of people from this list become scammers or ruined their reputation. Escrow isn't just some random service, it's thing where people trust other poeple with their money, and often it's big money. It shows that even most trusted members can turn into scammers one day, especially when there is big money on the table.
That's the reality of how money can affect someone. A matter of fact it falls on "money is the root of all evil" thing.
1950  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Few Trusted Escrow Provider on: February 02, 2023, 10:38:14 PM
This 4 Dudeperfect, TwinWinNerD, ninjaboon, Blazed has no activity more than 5 months already they should be considered inactive.

While bittawm and John (John K.) is inactive since december, also their ann thread was last updated or has a reply more than 3 years at least, they should be considered as inactive in the list unless they post here or in their ann that they are still accepting escrow transactions.
1951  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Promote your web design or development firm/portfolio FREE in this mega-thread! on: February 02, 2023, 11:08:33 AM
This specific section is for service discussions. There is a separate section for designers and developers to post their services along with their past works, prices, and other details. There is the services board. They could also use the service announcement board. There are also similar boards under altcoins.
What i understand is OP is going to make a list of web designers and/or developer or what you call an overview thread just like what other category of works available here which was posted on service discussion too.
From a while ago @tranthidung made a thread/list[1] for almost all active services offered on this forum but there are only few web designers and web developer in the thread/list.

1952  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A reminder to all new Bitcoin investors on: February 01, 2023, 11:07:46 PM
Stay away from any Bitcoin FUD and always remember that Bitcoin has faced death so many times and still prevails, this is beyond stoppable for the haters now, the only thing they are capable of is the CBDC and FUDs.
Actually almost everyone knows about bitcoin. But where blinded on what media is showing. Because most media news will only make a headline when someone got hacked on bitcoin, scammed, lost because of theft, bankruptcy, in short bad publicity. Misinformation is the problem.

On the other hand, many are actually bullish to bitcoin but become disappointed when faced security compromised, hacking/stolen, phished, etc.
Investing bitcoin is not just having or buying them but having full security, safe device and good practice of keeping them. These should be taught not just "you will be rich and financially literate when you invest long term in bitcoin"
1953  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Source Of funds on HitBTC on: February 01, 2023, 10:40:44 PM
HitBTC is a new level of scam...
I gave them - passports (my and who made the transfer) , notarial letter, pdf bank statments, photo with docs, skype session, screenshot from exchange... and
in the end they decided to just write[/b] - Unfortunately, we cannot accept any forged data as a valid source of funds report.
No evidence, they just decided to cancel my info just like that, without anything)))))))))
Because the asking of KYC in that exchange is the beginning of their trap. Whatever you provided to them will be considered as forged, fake and wont get accepted. You are not the only one experienced  like this many have the same issues towards hitbtc and that's really unfortunate.
1954  Other / Meta / Re: I am login at forum but forget password on: January 31, 2023, 07:07:52 PM
I don't have access to email too. What are the options now ?
Why?

Is this the account you're talking to? If yes, then just create a new one. If not, i don't know either, why the hell you forgot those information in the very first place. Anyway, try your luck messaging Cyrus or the recovery team[1] to recover your account.

1955  Other / Meta / Re: I am login at forum but forget password on: January 31, 2023, 06:58:06 PM
You can just use the forgot password feature[1] of the forum. If you still have the access of your registered email, then follow the step in the email that will be sent to you.
Note: Don't recover your account by answering your secret question, you will face more trouble[2]

1956  Other / Meta / Re: Use this BBCode to insert historical BTC quote in your post on: January 30, 2023, 06:28:59 AM
There is an existing thread made by TryNinja[1]. Here's also the reference thread[2] but seems both are not working now. So i suggest you to create a thread for this on Project Development[3], maybe you can create it as version 3 with some conversions too? Idk.
But anyway this is a useful site, especially to sellers in Marketplace and those who are active in auctions who usually use a dynamic price in USD, BTC or EUR.

I can't tell the experience of having own webmail but i have no issue receiving mails from bitcointalk using my gmail. Some of the emails directly go to Updates folder but most of them go to Inbox.

Maybe browser settings is somehow involved but if you use tor they won't.
Sending and receiving mails issue usually came from its mail settings or DNS,double checking MX record might help.

Maybe your webmail quota has reached its limit (if not limited)?
1958  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Why do gamers hate crypto games? on: January 29, 2023, 10:15:18 PM
Some related issues are its expensive playing crypto/blockchain game where you need to pay (no matter how much the fees are just the fact it has fees) in every game, the technicalities of connecting your wallet to the game, permissions and securities. Many are hesitant to play despite how good the mechanics is because of these. If there will be a game that will remove or lesten these hurdles then it will probably a changing matter, its just a matter of when it will be available.
1959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to bet on Billiards sports? on: January 29, 2023, 09:36:03 PM
, But I have seen Pool games on 1xbet I think this site is more popular in the Philippines if you know it, they have live betting as well and you can watch the game live in their site aswell, and I think they also have an eSports Pool game that you can bet aswell, if there aren't any live pool or billiard games available,
1xbet and Pnxbet are popular casino here but both connected to 1xbit which is why I’m avoiding this casino as much as possible. Yeah only snooker all I’m seeing that available on major casino but I’m surprised how billiard is not listed while it was very popular before.
Yeah, i've seen lots ads from 1xbet on filipino influencers being ignorant about the reputation of the site, everytime i watched a video promoting it i eventually skip the video or wont finish it at all.

And yeah, despite of the sport existence looks like its not very popular on stream and esports betting sites for some reasons
1960  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Anonymous crypto exchange on: January 29, 2023, 04:01:30 PM
As a trader, I am okay with losing anonymity to avoid facing legal actions and a bad reputation to me.
Most issue in anonymous trading or p2p transactions are higher fees, more risky in getting scams and time consuming waiting to someone buy or sell your order usually in p2p. Where most kyc'ed p2p transaction remove most of these issues and most can't deny that its more convenient using kyc'ed platform/p2p.
