You can't use referral links for individual pages on Crypto-Games, right?
So it's just the home page?

Just wanted to be sure that there wasn't an option for that ;-)

I'm not adding my referrals link for the time being, I want to check how many refs I get through some other of my promotions.
1962  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Buy real estate with Crypto on: May 07, 2018, 09:22:40 AM
I know i can find certain proposals on google, but has anyone seen this service actually working, what are the steps and service quality?

It is not the simple task due legal barriers. In some countries it is obligatory to make government registration of rights on real estate and agreement should be in local fiat currency.

Yeah that's completely true, I imagine it would be pretty much impossible in some countries, unless you find some sort of workaround or loophole.

OP, you might just want to talk to a real-estate agent about that.
Or specifically look for real-estate offers which accept Bitcoin, but try on local websites. (classifieds etc.)

1964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Overview of Universal Basic Income Crypto Coins [16 Projects Listed] on: May 04, 2018, 08:51:37 PM
That’s very kind of you. Appreciate your help! My steemit username is @adam.tran. I think it would be fine to share it here to you. I joined few contests that give rewards with Steem Basic Income shares, I really like the idea because it’s not one time reward.

Yeah I've bought one myself and added your steem username in the memo field Wink
You should receive it soon, I think it takes a couple of days or so.

My username is @daan btw ;-)
1965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you holding EOS? on: May 04, 2018, 08:29:36 PM
I'm waiting till they switch from the ERC-20 token to their own blockchain before I buy any significant amount.
Not because I think it'll be cheaper, but because the tokens have no actual use yet.

I wouldn't mind if I'd be buying the actual EOS tokens at a premium
1966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone make serious profit from hodling 6-12 months ? on: May 04, 2018, 05:56:36 PM
Of course people are making serious profits by doing just that. Just look at any chart, if you buy at the right time, you can easily double or triple your investment.
Litecoin is a prime example, end of March 2017 they were trading at 4 dollars. If you had bought then and sold just 9 months later, you would have gotten a whopping 150 dollars per Litecoin.

Plus, it's far less risky than just day-trading! You just gotta have the patience to hold onto your coins.
1967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Plans for 8th Annual Bitcoin Pizza Day? on: May 04, 2018, 12:06:35 PM
Funny that you mention that, I actually have a little tradition where I buy a pizza with Bitcoin on that day.
I've been able to order food online with Bitcoin for a couple of years now (takeaway.com).

I always thought that it would be fun if other people started doing that as well, also to give some support to local businesses that accept Bitcoin.
1968  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Blockchain in gaming : discover the Blockchain Game Summit on: May 04, 2018, 11:47:11 AM
The entrance fee for the Summit is a bit pricy and I think this might be a barrier to entry for the young and new entrepreneurs out there.   Undecided

It's a bit steep for a new conference like this indeed, but could be worth it, depending on which publishers you get to meet there.
Clearly it's targeted at people who already work in the industry, so it'll definitely be a good place to get more business contacts.
1969  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-bills on: May 04, 2018, 11:19:43 AM
Do you want that in your country issue bitcoin-bills?

no obviously not!
it is a point of centralization. of course that will never affect the bitcoin itself but all these "notes" are centralized and in full control of the releasing party. nobody wants that to happen!

It don't really see how these notes would make anything more centralized. They're basically glorified paper wallets or am I missing something here?
I doubt many people would actually use them... Seems more like some novelty item than something that's actually usable.

I also don't see countries issuing any of these soon. Why would they in the first place?
1970  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Be the first to play Hedgie, the new coin-mining game on blockchain! on: May 04, 2018, 10:27:30 AM
Why can you only play using Chrome? This is not something I'd want to switch browsers for, I'm using Firefox.
How many players do you have? Seems kinda silly to spend 10 dollars on a game that has no active players yet.

I tried to visit your site, but it was down. Not a very good first impression. I made a note of this, so I will keep on trying and then get back to this thread to give more detailed feedback to get the discussion going.  Wink

The airdrop page seems to be down, but the home page works fine in Chrome.
1971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin regulations in India ??? on: May 04, 2018, 09:23:08 AM
I am reading somewhere that Bitcoin and other crypto currencies illegal in India as per Indian central bank announcement. In some other place i am seeing  RBI advises caution on its use, bitcoin is not illegal in India. Which one is true ?? Any clarification about this?
RBI has just announced its investors to be cautious as bitcoin price is highly volatile in nature. But it has not yet announced it to be illegal.Indian government is a little bit confused about cryptos. It has an idea of launching its own digital currency named Lakshmi and at that situation,it might term bitcoin as illegal.

I really doubt that they would make Bitcoin entirely illegal, even if they are planning to launch their own form of cryptocurrency.
It's far more likely that they will just impose regulations so they can tax it more efficiently.

I'm not sure how many countries have outright banned Bitcoin at this point in time, but it's not going to be a lot.
1972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I just lost my entire wallet of 13 BTC. on: May 04, 2018, 09:02:09 AM
Do you still have your browser history, so you can check where exactly you've downloaded those possibly compromised wallets from?
I really hope you can find out what exactly caused this, I'd be interested in knowing if it was the BTCP wallet.

Maybe it would be a good idea to file a police report for this? I mean chances of getting your coins back are slim, but then your name as already 'tied' to those coins.
In case they eventually bust them, it's good to have everything on record.
1973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Overview of Universal Basic Income Projects [16 Projects Listed] on: May 04, 2018, 08:20:36 AM
I am one of many people using Steem Basic Income now and I can give anyone who interested a brief review. That is such a great project, the discord also full of helpful people I believe so even I don't talk much in there, this was founded by @josephsavage, and he is very active in the channel, he will answer every questions you might have.
Basically, you send (min) 1 SBD ( Steem Dollar to @steembasicincome) and everytime you post an article on Steemit, you automatically get upvote from them. Especially you can sponsor another person. And there are different ways to increase your income. But what I want to tell you here is, you can both enjoy writing and earn money at the same time on this platform. Gradually, you will not only earn money from Steem Basic Income but also from contests, upvote from other people ( when you are are more active and interact with other people. ) Steem Basic Income really helps you to start comfortably with not only Steemit but with cryptocurrency in general. Go check it out! You know, honestly Steem basic income might be a little amount for you, but believe me you will earn from different ways when you know more about it. Lol, sounds like I did a great PR for Steemit Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

But, really appreciate it, this thread helped me to realize there are more of them out there that I havent know. Thank you a lot!

Edited: Oh, its great if you start with this post so you can understand more https://steemit.com/basicincome/@steembasicincome/steem-basic-income-a-complete-overview

I've also been using it myself, but for now I just have one share.
That gives me an upvote of around 1 or 2 cents, which isn't a lot... I'm really thinking of sponsoring some other members to also increase my own shares

I think it's a pretty good system that you have to sponsor someone else to get your shares.

You can always pm or share your steem username, I'll get you another share as well Wink
1974  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Floating Island Project - French Polynesia on: May 03, 2018, 08:02:43 PM
This is a really cool project, if you manage to achieve everything you've mentioned in your post.
You're planning to fund it entirely through an ICO? I've seen something about Varyon token on your website...

What kind of timeline are you looking at to secure enough funding and start building?
1975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ⛔ Crypto Pump and Dump Groups - What are they and Why you should STAY AWAY on: May 03, 2018, 06:01:59 PM
It's usually newbies who tend to join these kinds of groups. Usually they even charge you an entry fee for joining.
I mean, aside from being wrong from a moral point of view, it's also likely that they buy large volumes themselves before the actual pump.

It can look very tempting to join, but afaik it could even be illegal to participate.
1976  Economy / Economics / Re: Why fee and other stuffs are deducted?? on: May 03, 2018, 12:21:57 PM
ofcourse its necessary or else how can we give incentive to those miners or stakers?. but whats good is its just small price compared to those banks fees

I wouldn't be so sure that you're paying less fees than you would with bank transfers. Sure, if you're just looking at the miners fee, maybe.
But once you start factoring in fees from exchanges, you could very well be paying more than you would on bank transfers.

I'm also used to using Sepa for bank transfers within Europe, which is essentially free.
1977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Robbery on: May 03, 2018, 10:07:47 AM
Yes, i read something like that in the news of UK, click the link i provide,  https://www.express.co.uk/finance/city/910958/Bitcoin-ripple-ethereum-UK-robbery-cryptocurrency-armed-thugs-oxfordshire-news-latest/amp, so we should be careful not to brag about we have a bitcoin account and there is a balance, bitcoin is hot in the eye, especially eyes of the bud guy.

Was just going to share that story too, it was all over the news when it happened. It really also highlights the point that privacy is definitely important when you're dealing with Bitcoin or money in general.

Indeed, you shouldn't go around boasting that you're owning Bitcoin. It's definitely a sure way to put yourself on the radar of such criminals.
1978  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The Crypto Shop! on: May 03, 2018, 09:58:39 AM
The question is actually this: are you able to compete with existing services that already do this.
Purse is pretty much exactly the sort of service you're describing, they're also pretty successful.

What stores did you have in mind, other than Amazon?
1979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After a Bad Sell on: May 03, 2018, 09:41:24 AM
Never happened to me personally, except maybe in the very early days back in 2013. I've just learned to hold, plus I always buy right after crashes.
I'm also not day trading, I don't mind holding on to coins for +1 year. Once you start doing that you'll only sell when you have a profit.

I'm sure that a lot of people sold most of their assets when the big crash happened after NY.
I'm still holding onto coins from the years before, so selling would be incredibly stupid since I was still looking at a profit, even when the prices hit their lowest point.
1980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to store Bitcoin safely ? on: May 03, 2018, 09:32:40 AM
I think this guide from the Bitcoin wiki is still the most extensive one for setting up a secure cold storage wallet:
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/How_to_set_up_a_secure_offline_savings_wallet

This guide does require you to run an Ubuntu live CD (live USB is also an option). Keep in mind that this is probably one of the most secure ways to set up a cold storage wallet by yourself.
You can change some steps in the process, but it will result in a less secure solution.
