1701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thing to do here in crypto world. on: July 10, 2018, 03:36:10 PM
You can start writing articles or share photos over at Steemit, it's pretty fun to do and you really don't have to be an expert.
I make around 30 - 40 STEEM per week when I'm active every day and it's always growing.

There are some really fun communities there and they're all on Discord.
1702  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fastest Dice Site? on: July 10, 2018, 03:25:08 PM
Crypto-games is okay with bets of only 1 Satoshi, but I wouldn't call it fast.
Their speed is around 1 bet per 3 seconds, I don't know how that compares to other dice sites though.
1703  Economy / Economics / Re: stupidity is so close to poverty on: July 10, 2018, 02:12:09 PM
I don't think those two things are always closely related. If you started out in a poor family, you'll have less chances to get a decent education.
Doesn't mean that they're stupid, it's just a lack of equal chances.

I do image that some people are poor because they are less intelligent, but not in all cases.
1704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does this sound realistic? on: July 10, 2018, 10:54:31 AM
This sounds good in theory, but I think it would be very hard for -some- people to disconnect from the notion that they gamble to win money.
The thing with addiction is that it kind of creeps up on you, without you noticing it at first.

So, you could very well be lying to yourself about 'only doing it for fun', while you're still getting addicted slowly.

A better tactic might be to severely limit the amount of time you spend on gambling, by sheer willpower alone.
When you see that you cannot do that, you can be pretty sure that you would be prone to becoming addicted in the future.
1705  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★ Crypto-Games.net ★ LARGEST wagering contest - up to 46.000$ in prizes* on: July 10, 2018, 09:32:43 AM
I am more than happy to always let any existing or prospective player about the type of people that run this site.
It is rather shocking that a site needs to steal a players coins.  Perhaps their greed has gotten the best of them?
What should we call taking something that belongs to another? Oh right, thats theft. It is clearly listed in the TOS, that anyone is subject to theft by this site.

I really don't understand your strategy here, you want your 1000 dollars worth of Doge back, right?
So why are you continuing with this strategy that has already proven to be completely ineffective?

Do you really think anyone who reads your messages will now not play on CG anymore?
No, people will read that and refrain from multi-accounting because they now see what the consequences are.

So, Lutpin is right, thanks for informing and warning people to not use multiple accounts.
Thank you for your ongoing effort to make people aware of the rules.
1706  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's Fix This to Make Bitcoin Better on: July 10, 2018, 09:24:38 AM
Most of the things you've listed here are not problems that occur exclusively with Bitcoin or cryptocurrency.
These are just things that happen due to human nature, so unless you can find something that would make human beings less greedy, I don't see how this can be fixed.

It might be a bit negative of me to think this, but I really don't see how you could completely eradicate scamming and cheating.
Maybe in future societies things like this won't exist anymore, but it'll take a massive shift in attitude to solve it.

There are countries where you see extremely low crime rates, Japan comes to mind, but crime still exists even there.

Payment received and confirmed, thanks for another lucrative week of signature campaign Wink

Sorry if I'm out of line here, this is just my personal opinion and isn't based on any facts.
No, that's exactly my personal opinion as well and how I would handle a situation like that, or like to see it being handled.
I cannot speak on behalf of CG in this case either, as I do not make that decision,
but I think admitting being wrong, apologizing, and eg asking for one account being unblocked so they can continue to use the site
(while promising to follow the rules this time, or to accept the consequences if they don't) would go a long way.

Everybody knows that you'll eventually get your way with blackmail  Roll Eyes

Alert Alert Alert

My account from this site has just been blocked for having a second account. Most people know me from multiple betting sites.

Tonight this site has blocked my account and is holding hostage Your balance is: 452508.00605947 DogeCoin Plus 20,000 on my 2nd account.

If this is not resolved and my funds returned to me, I shall continue to alert forever anyone who plays online about this site.

release my funds:

1709  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★ Crypto-Games.net ★ LARGEST wagering contest - up to 46.000$ in prizes* on: July 06, 2018, 02:12:44 PM
@Crypto_Games I'm sorry I've violated the ToS. Creating a second account and cheating the site was wrong.
FTFY

Yeah that's how he should be acting, I've not seen him admit he was wrong once.

I can't speak for Crypto-Games of course, but I've known them for being very reasonable as long as you don't act like an ass (excuse my language).
Perhaps start by admitting you're wrong, saying you'll never do it again and kindly ask if they would be willing to give back your funds, even though they have no obligation to do so.

Handle it like that and you might have a tiny tiny chance that they'll send you your funds back. (no guarantees)

It would have been better if you had done so from the start.

If they send you your funds back now, what kind of message would that send? That you can cheat them, be rude and that they'll just roll over and reward you for that...

Honestly, it's probably too late for you, but this might work for people who've made an honest mistake. (forgotten that they had created an account for example and never abused anything). Bigger chance of success than acting entitled and rude anyway.

Sorry if I'm out of line here, this is just my personal opinion and isn't based on any facts.
1710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin go under FBI investgation on: July 06, 2018, 11:31:54 AM
Well of course they will investigate Bitcoin and sue it under the full extent of the law.
They'll put Bitcoin in jail for sure and everyone will be sued for being complicit for its crimes.

I've personally been contacted by the FBI already and they've assigned me a personal agent, just as Gentlemand mentioned.

I thought this sort of stuff was common knowledge?

Now off to my meeting with the HYIP cartel, they're offering free drinks and snacks I've heard.
1711  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Project! Need advice and assistance. 1/2 LTC offered!!!! on: July 06, 2018, 10:10:52 AM
Yeah I've also filled in your survey, doesn't take more than a minute really.
Just want to add that I don't think this is a good idea, I mean who wants to buy a silly hat for 100 dollars, just to get some crypto.
1712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: July 06, 2018, 09:39:16 AM

Croatia can get to finals too, they have easier way to finials then Belgians and Brazilians, winner from that game will have to play against winner from France and Uruguay and both are tough opponents. Croatia against Russia and winner from that game plays against winner from Sweden and England. Can Russia surprise once again in this championship and make a win against Croatia? I believe everything is possible in football, and final game can be Uruguay vs England or Brazil vs Croatia, easier way to finials is for England, Brazil France Belgia and Uruguay are much better teams then Russia Croatia England and Sweden.
Maybe we will see more draw games and penalties in the end, that's football you never know what will happen until last minutes.

Croatia realistically have a great opportunity to advance at least to semi-final, they have a lot of quality players who are capable of winning against Russia. But fact that Russia is host and that has a historic opportunity to play semi-final of World Cup will make this game very interesting, I bet they will play as if their lives depend on it.

I would like to see Croatia-England and France-Brazil in semi-final, however since this World Cup is full of surprises it is possible that there will be some unexpected results in next stage.

^  Belgium could surprise everybody tho.  They have a really good squad that's mostly underrated.  And their match vs Japan showed how mentally strong they are imo.  I just don't think Brazil can push them around...

I really hope Belgium wins against Brazil, but I will have to miss this match. My girlfriend booked a table at a restaurant while we're playing :-/
Not going to forgive her this any time soon Tongue

or maybe everybody will watch that game in restaurant lol

Brasil looks better to me more complete like a team however Belgium midfielders are able to dominate game.Very interesting game but i bet for Brasil because Belgium defense are making to much mistakes Belgium lost two goals last game it was possible to came back against japan but will be hard to repeat that against Brasil

Croatia is my dark horse from beginning so i think they will qualify
.

Yeah I'm hoping that they have a TV there, but I'm not counting on it.
Probably going to watch it on my phone, without too many people noticing hopefully Cheesy

Oh I completely agree on Belgium's defence during the game with Japan, but they looked much better against England.
Carrasco had a really bad match and wasn't too happy with Kompany's performance either.

Now they're going to put Fellaini up from the start, which is good IMO. De Bruyne will also get a more prominent role, haven't seen too much from him during this World Cup.

Belgium can definitely win, but the odds are in favour of Brazil. Still placed a bet on Belgium though.

Can also confirm that they are giving out free picks on their Discord from time to time, they're pretty good actually.
Now, I would personally wait for a bit more data to buy picks, but so far it's looking good.

Their discord is listed on the home page: https://buysportspicks.net
1714  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Project! Need advice and assistance. 1/2 LTC offered!!!! on: July 06, 2018, 08:56:56 AM
Hello,

I appreciate your response. The link is in the post (the google docs survey form), the site is in the google docs.

The reason why you should trust? Well, I have a bigger goal in mind, build a community and a project. It doesn't make sense to lose trust from the start!

But sure. I'm very open to escrow and I'm glad you responded and told me about that point. Can you tell me which service or how I could go about doing this?

Thank you.

Here's a list of escrow providers on the forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0

Are you giving away 0.5 LTC to one person or dividing it among all participants?
I'd definitely use escrow for this, you'll immediately gain more trust than when you would just show proof of funds.
1715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 52 Times Bitcoin Died 2010 - 2018 (infographic) on: July 05, 2018, 09:24:22 PM
It's way more than that, the exact number is actually 319 times and counting.

Source: https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoinobituaries/

Don't know how many times I've shared this website before, but it's usually always right after it has crashed.
People tend to post threads here with the title 'Bitcoin is dead', always fun to post that link on those occasions Wink
1716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How has Bitcoin changed your life for the better? (Those who bought <2017) on: July 05, 2018, 01:59:18 PM
Thanks to Bitcoin I have a pretty nice amount of extra disposable income.
I don't want to give the impression that Bitcoin or cryptocurrency is a get-rich-quick scheme, it certainly isn't, but it can be a great way to earn some extra money in various ways.

One example, I still have some of the coins that I had bought back in 2013, they've accounted for most of my 'profit'.
1717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Overview of Universal Basic Income Crypto Projects [23 Projects Listed] on: July 05, 2018, 01:08:30 PM
I almost follow the list listed above and I almost analyze it carefully what the advantages and disadvantages of the project, so we can find out more we can open as well as rego, this redcab including those on my list of best project list. Cheesy Smiley

I'm sorry, I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what you're trying to say.
Do you want me to add some additional information to the list or are you talking about something else?

1719  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if bitcoin crash, could you put your money in another currency to be safe? on: July 05, 2018, 12:46:22 PM
For example, if bitcoin is going to crash and I exchanged it into $1200 Ethereum lets say. And it goes down to $800 USD, will the Ethereum value go down?

Could you exchange your bitcoin into another currency to be protected from a crash?
I think Coins like Doge, LTC , USDCOIN all of these are 99.9% stable always in the same price, 0.01% prob that you are very very very unlucky and it drop when you buy but I don't think it will happen.

What do you think ?
If the bitcoin collapses, I think investors will certainly be scared and withdraw from the crypto market. Because bitcoin is the soul of the crypto. if the bitcoin collapses, crypto also will die

That's what I've been thinking too mate and I agree with your thoughts. Probably investors will withdraw all their money in crypto if ever bitcoin will collapse or die because I also believe that btc is the soul of crypto and it will affect all the alternate coins if ever that will happen.

Define 'collapse' first, then we can talk. If Bitcoin really goes to zero, another coin will just take its place.
Too many projects are already running on the Ethereum chain for it to fail. Well, it can still fail of course but it's just very unlikely.

The market will probably lose a lot of investments, but not everything, there will be opportunists waiting to invest more.
1720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Travel Booking Giant Expedia Has Quietly Removed Bitcoin Payment - Thoughts? on: July 05, 2018, 12:35:56 PM
I think that this option was only available in the US anyways. I've tried to use this option a while back, but it wasn't possible because I get redirected to my local Expedia website, which didn't have the option to begin with.

They clearly half-assed their acceptance of Bitcoin payments, no wonder they're shutting it down so soon.
