1341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Overview of Universal Basic Income Crypto Projects [24 Projects Listed] on: October 13, 2018, 02:26:22 PM
how often do you update the main post?

it seems like Solidar is offline
https://solidar.it/

swift deman is also interesting but has no pratical application at the moment since you can't spend the tokens/coins and use it out of the platform, right?

I check for new projects every couple of months or so, but if anyone suggests a project to add, I usually add it within a couple of days.
I don't often keep track of the listed projects, so I must've missed that Solidar wasn't active anymore. Will adjust the OP

Yeah Swiftdemand seems to be very inactive. They do seem to make announcements on Twitter from time to time, so isn't completely dead.
1342  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Denmark on: October 13, 2018, 12:02:35 PM
I've searched and I might go with SEPA so thank you with the suggestion. I've never heard of the site before though, can you vouch for them? I also want to know the time they would take to process the transaction (from the money to go to the bank account and be ready to use). Also, what do you need to provide to verify your account? passport, a selfie? and how long would it take?

No need to submit documents and such. They only require bank account, email address and mobile number. Verification usually takes max a couple of hours and transfers are very quick, at least in the Netherlands. You gotta check out their website for international transactions. I'm doing business with bitonic for over 2 years now and I've never had a problem, very reliable service.

You can contact them on Telegram: https://t.me/BitonicNL, email: contact@bitonic.nl or Twitter: https://twitter.com/bitonicnl Wink

Same here, they do have some sort of verification in place for buying Bitcoin, but not for withdraws afaik.
The verification just consists of buying Bitcoin with your bank account and waiting to get verified, no need to send any documents.

I don't really remember if there's also SMS verification involved, I think so actually. So that might pose a bit of a problem if you're from the US.
Maybe you can comment on that s0lidus?

Roulette does have autobet option Wink

Oh LOL, when was that added? Must be pretty recent, then again, I haven't played for over a month Tongue
1344  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★ Crypto-Games.net ★ 4 Years Old ★ 58.000$ wagering contest ★ on: October 12, 2018, 02:01:14 PM
Is it possible to autobet on Roulette?

I think this should still work:

Is there any chance that you could also add some auto-play functionality to the roulette on Crypto-Games?
I don't think there's a bot available for this, right? Even if there was, I'm not a big fan of having to install an app on my pc just for this.
You can use the in-browser console to set up a simple auto betting.
Place your chips on the numbers you want to bet, then open the console (via right click on the game table) and enter
Code:
var autoBet = setInterval(spin, 1000);
Once you want to stop betting, enter
Code:
clearInterval(autoBet);
The 1000 is the delay in this case, which you can increase to slow down your autobet, but shouldn't decrease.

Credits to minifrij for this quick and easy script Smiley

Had asked the same question a while ago Wink
Alternatively, if it doesn't work, you can also set up a macro for left mouse click

Did you also happen to read the second part of his tweet?

Not because I have any special knowledge or even actually think that, but so that I can have a ~25% (or whatever) chance of later being publicly acclaimed as "a guru who predicted the last financial crisis".

We'll see it when it happens. I'm sure something will collapse in the upcoming years, but there's no point in trying to predict it.

We've had our first jackpot hit on roulette today. Congrats to player Birny926! Smiley

Glad it finally happened, that took quite a long time!

Just saw that he won the PLAY credit jackpot Tongue Worth around 0.00064218 BTC in total (3310181 PLAY)
Not bad considering that he didn't spend anything.
1347  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Fiat deposits with no KYC? on: October 12, 2018, 10:10:59 AM
Here in Belgium and The Netherlands we have Bitonic.nl, they don't require you to send in any documents, but they do require you to wait 48 hours to get verified after your first deposit.
I'm not sure if they are also available in other countries, but their website is available in English as well, so I think it can be used throughout the SEPA area.

1348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long have you been with crypto? on: October 12, 2018, 09:29:16 AM
I've been involved with cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) since late 2012 and I've joined this forum in 2013.
I'm personally not facing any problems, I'm glad that the Bitcoin price is somewhat stable actually. Volatility has been really low lately.

These recent drops don't really faze me, I'm used to it by now...
1349  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Steam going to accept Bitcoin again? on: October 12, 2018, 09:14:59 AM
I don't give a shit. It's better for users not to be buying frivolities with BTC anyway. If they really want to there are places like Bitrefill where you can buy vouchers.

Their volatility thing made no sense. They had zero exposure to it. The only thing I can think of is they had masses of customer complaints about Bitcoin fees which isn't their problem either, it was Bitpay and Bitcoin itself.

Well, they did start to accept Bitcoin right before those massive spam attacks on the network.
You really can't blame them for disabling Bitcoin at that time, since the amount of time and money they were spending on resolving support requests was far exceeding the additional revenue they were getting from accepting Bitcoin.

It just made a lot of sense to disable Bitcoin payments, if we're really being honest here.

I'd really like to see them accept Bitcoin again, but I also understand that they need to be 100% sure that something like that won't happen again.
1350  Other / Archival / Re: Investing in Gambling Sites on: October 12, 2018, 09:09:08 AM
My experience of investment into two gambling sites:

Crypto-games.net:
02.08.2018 invested 1.42006574 btc in crypto-games.net, on 02.09.2018 profit has 0.00735331 btc, at the same time having closed site fee. Also I see advantage of crypto-games that it is possible to make investments in alternative cryptocurrencies and also to close the investment program and to take away money at any time. Next time I will check statistics 02.10.2018

Bustadice.com:
27.08.2018 invested 0.4 btc in "onsite investment". Profit makes today 0.00601833 btc. Not bad, yeah? BUT, it is impossible to take away money at any time because
Quote
minimum amount that can be invested or divested is Ƀ 0.01
source: https://bustadice.com/invest

It is the reason for which I don't recommend to invest here.

I like Crypto-Games investment too, but they also have a minimum, actually, and if you take away your investment before 4 weeks, you lose some penalty for early divest. Much lower minimum I think, but still a minimum.

Invest minimum at Bitvest is the same as Bustadice (0.01 BTC), I see no problems recommending even with high minimum, which makes sense, no fees for divest at any time. Bitvest also lets you do x10 leverage so that's also pretty good but of course if they incur losses, you lose much more. Also, your profit is 0.006 but if you add that to your investment, then you surely have enough? 60% is a lot of profit...

They don't accept Bitcoin and ETH investments at the moment though.
Other coins are still available for investments, but just make sure that you pick a coin that has a decent monthly wagering rate.

I've been really happy with them in the past, can definitely recommend them.

Be sure to check out Lutpin's investment overview thread, so you have an idea what kind of ROI you're looking at.

1351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 25,000 German Online Stores in Germany to Begin Accepting Crypto in 2019 on: October 12, 2018, 08:35:42 AM
It kind of sucks that people have to use payment processors to spend Bitcoin when that's exactly what it wants to prevent, but I suppose it's a good short-term measure. I just hope these existing options don't dissuade merchants from accepting Bitcoin directly in the future.

But yeah, I would be psyched about this if I were German.
I really doubt merchants will be enthusiastic about accepting bitcoins directly considering how volatile it is and also considering they are simply in business to make profits..

Accepting the bitcoin directly could propel them to incur losses as the price is definitely never stable

Some businesses would be more than happy to accept crypto directly I think.
Just look at Overstock, they've been consistently keeping part of their Bitcoin payments as Bitcoin. I can't remember how much exactly, maybe something like 10 or 20% (someone correct me on this).

Are there actually any Bitcoin payment processors that offer such a service for merchants? I mean having the option of retaining part of their payments in Bitcoin.
1352  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Denmark on: October 12, 2018, 08:07:18 AM
Oh it's extremely easy, I do them weekly and it's really straightforward.
Now in your case, since you can't do the SEPA transfer yourself, you'd have to ask the third party to provide you with a proof of payment. Though I personally never ask this, since I use trusted sellers/services. Might be considered weird to ask, I'm not sure.

No need to declare it as a gift or anything like that, as far as I'm aware of at least.

A SEPA transfer is basically the same as a regular bank transfer, only that there are no fees and they're also faster.

This is a screenshot of the exchange I use. They pay out immediately via a sepa transfer.
Just adding it so you can see all the information that's needed.

1353  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for feedback: Decentralized P2P Lending platform for education loans on: October 12, 2018, 07:48:46 AM
Just read through your white paper and I'm wondering how you could possibly verify all the documents that students have to submit.
I'm posting images instead of quoting the text, since copying from the whitepaper gives me some really weird formatting issues.

Would you only be offering this in the US or also in other countries?

I also saw that the requirements of becoming a lender are quite impressive to say the least:

Any reason why you have those requirements for lenders in place?
1354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Popular Betting Strategies on: October 12, 2018, 07:28:17 AM
Definitely an interesting list you've shared, I like that it's all just listed there in a compact format, worth a bookmark for sure.
Thee article about bankroll management might be useful for me in the future, interesting read for sure.

http://sportstatist.com/bankroll-management-odds-edge-and-variance/

They're not the typical strategies you'd usually see, I appreciate that the focus is more on education than anything else.

1355  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Masternode Setup and Hosting Providers Comparison on: October 11, 2018, 01:28:12 PM
It's confusing, to be honest. The medium article shows that you support LTC, BTC, BCH while none of these are POS coins with masternodes while your website says you support +100 coins.

You also say that you'll never request private keys of users etc. while you clearly can have access to that because you control the machines.

Now I'm confused... Where did you see an actual article?
I just see a low quality image on that Medium page, with a comparison between 2 masternode hosts.

It doesn't show support for LTC, BTC, BCH, etc. btw, it shows that they accept payments in those currencies.

See:

Why not just do a SEPA transfer directly to their bank account?
There are a number of merchants on Localbitcoins who can do SEPA transfers to any country in the Single Euro Payments Area (sepa).

https://localbitcoins.com/country/DK

Just get their* full name, IBAN & BIC and you should be good to go.

1357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Satoshi Nakamoto Ukranian? on: October 11, 2018, 12:34:41 PM
Why do you care is the bigger question here IMO...
What would it change for you personally, if you did find out that Satoshi is Ukranian?

I really do not understand the appeal of trying to speculate who he might be.
Maybe because some previous searches for Satoshi have ended up in people getting needlessly harassed by journalists.

I'm not going to put any time and effort into trying to doxx someone who clearly wanted to remain anonymous.
1358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The price plunged down today? on: October 11, 2018, 10:48:11 AM
It's weird that we're seeing such a price drop today, just because it fully coincides with a drop in the stock market.
I've seen a couple of articles casting doubt on the ability of cryptocurrency to provide a safe haven investment for possible stock market crashes.

Source: https://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/news/bitcoin-crashes-down-with-stocks-still-a-safe-haven/

I do think it will bounce up again like it always does, we haven't gone under 6000 USD yet for Bitcoin, so I'm not at all worried.
Altcoins are taking a bit more of a beating though.
1359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A banking app helped me beat my addiction on: October 11, 2018, 10:38:02 AM
After reading this article, I would say the main character mentioned in this article does have strong determination to fight against his own gambling addiction, if a person who is seriously addicted to gambling does not even have a strong perseverance and determination to quit gambling, I believe this banking app would not be able to help much too. This story shows how scary it is when someone became seriously addicted to gambling, they could end up paying debts for their whole life due to their gambling addiction, and basically their life would be ruin if they are not able to step out from it.

I kinda agree with this, there definitely needs to be a strong will to quit their addiction, otherwise they'll just find other ways to get money.
When you're a real gambling addict, you need the help from your family/partner as well to help you manage your money.

An addict will do whatever he/she can to get more money. They'll lie, steal or find money somehow and this banking app wouldn't stop them if they really wanted to get their hands on money.
That said, I do think it can be a very helpful tool for someone who's determined to quit gambling.
1360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance delist on: October 10, 2018, 12:32:20 PM
I'm a little bit surprised that they've decided to delist Bytecoin in specific, since it definitely has quite a bit of following.
In their statement they mentioned that the reason for delisting these coins, was that they did not stick to the "high quality of standards" of their exchange.

Source: https://ambcrypto.com/bytecoin-bcn-bites-the-dust-with-a-22-loss-after-binance-delisting/

If these coins did not meet their quelity standards, I definitely expect more coins to be delisted in the future.
