1541  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Discord Scams - What's the scam here, how does it work? on: August 22, 2018, 06:51:42 PM
This case seems exact similar to this case right here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4848364.msg43759006#msg43759006 . I found a lead on this case here and connected someone : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4927544.msg44498431#msg44498431.

Interesting that people are falling for these.

Yeah that's pretty much the same indeed, just a different website. Doesn't seem like they fell for it though, they did not pay that 0.01 BTC 'verification fee' in the end.
Just went through my Discord PMs and found another one of these.

Quote
can help me a bit?
I have a big amount of money for one of the crypto exchange
But since I'm from China, I was blocked at all crypto exchanges,
we have this strictly and now my money is stuck and I can not withdraw them
Can I ask you to withdraw this money? I'll just transfer this money to you on this exchange, and you bring them to your wallet, For the help
I'm ready to pay 15 % to you for your help me

Posting it just in case anyone find this through Google search. Definitely the same scam.
1542  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Discord Scams - What's the scam here, how does it work? on: August 22, 2018, 11:42:20 AM
Thanks @SFR10

Maybe I'll reply to the next one I receive just to see if they do end up sending me to a phishing site.
I wonder how many people would actually fall for that though, that just seems too obvious.

The thing with this example though, is that they are talking about an obscure website (e-coins.info).
Most people wouldn't have an account on there, so how can they get you to login on their phishing website, if you don't have an account?

Edit:
Oh yeah right, that website doesn't even exist  Huh
1543  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How many crypto websites have you seen written in poor English? on: August 22, 2018, 11:32:21 AM
Look I agree with what you're saying, some websites do have atrocious spelling, perhaps more so in the crypto-sphere.
I usually immediately call it out when a website has bad spelling when they're asking for a review on this forum for example.

Not that my spelling and grammar is perfect by any means, but at least I put in quite some effort to write correctly.

That said, you're not the right man for that job Tongue Vod pointed that out pretty fast and thoroughly...
1544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online casinos community : Is this important for you? on: August 22, 2018, 11:21:22 AM
It's the most important thing for me, that's why I've been playing on the same casino for years now.
For me, Crypto-Games has one of the best communities by far, their chat is always active at any point in time and they hold a lot of fun events.

Just the other day they had this big promotion to celebrate their 4 year anniversary, there were games in chat all day long.
The best thing is, whenever they do giveaways, there are absolutely no rollover requirements.

I've cashed out so many times from their promotions, that's something that you don't see in other casinos usually.
1545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The era of bounty hunter comes to an edd? on: August 22, 2018, 10:53:22 AM
Hasn't this always been the case though? I don't know where you get those statistics from, but I've seen people say this for years.
I do see that more ICOs fail to get a decent price for their tokens after they've been added to exchanges, but that's more due to today's market conditions than anything else.

I've seen people call ICOs scam, just because their tokens are worth less than what the bounty hunters had in mind.
Doesn't mean that the ICO is actually a scam, even though everyone is shouting it.
1546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: newcryptocasinos.com - Our channel at BitcoinTalk.org on: August 22, 2018, 10:42:14 AM
I have some criticism about your website, I hope you don't mind if I share that here.

I personally think the website is a little bit messy, I assumed that I could click on listings to get more information, but that wasn't possible.
In my opinion, it would be better if you'd also provide a simple list of all casinos , with some important information displayed.
Perhaps add reviews to that as well...

You don't have a separate page for each casino, the only thing you offer is a small description in which I've seen many spelling error.
This doesn't exactly make me want to trust you.

Some examples:

Quote
All player we have been talking to only have good things to say about Crypto Games.

Quote
No a typical Dice site, but they have similar games like Roulette and Coin Flip. So we decided to have them on the list

Quote
Hardcore Crypto Dice site. no fuss just plain and simple raw dice power. very popular site among crypto players,

These descriptions are just copied from your website, just weird sentences and small little errors.

Looking at the website itself, all I see is a low-effort summary of crypto casinos, with no real information presented about the websites you've supposedly 'reviewed'.
1547  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Recuiting people for scale up my adult buisness on: August 22, 2018, 10:17:09 AM
So, are you looking for a social media manager then? You might want to post this in the Services board on this forum.
What kind of compensation are you offering for managing those different accounts?

Just give some ballpark figures if you're still up for negotiation.
1548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the highest lost you have made as gambler? on: August 21, 2018, 03:24:59 PM
Highest loss I've ever had was around 5 BTC, back when the price was still at around 150 USD.
All lost with a single bet in dice on a x1.5 multiplier.

Didn't hurt that much at the time, but now I do kinda regret it Tongue
1549  Economy / Scam Accusations / Discord Scams - What's the scam here, how does it work? on: August 21, 2018, 01:08:12 PM
I've been receiving the same type of message from multiple spammers now, asking me if I can withdraw crypto for them from an exchange to my own wallet.
Then they want me to send it to them and they're supposedly willing to pay a fee for it.

Here's the original message:
Quote
Hey , can you help me ? Found you in crypto-chat, so i think you may help . I hvae got 1.34 BTC (or 39.18 ETH) on e-coins.info and need to withdraw it. I want to send it to you , so you will withdraw it to your BTC/ETH wallet. The main problem is there's restriction for withdrawals and i can't do any now. You will get 0.1 btc or 2 ETH for help.

Of course, I'm not going to do this, but I was just wondering how this scam actually works.
1550  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will decentralised exchanges be the future ? on: August 21, 2018, 01:05:10 PM
I'm not so sure if they will ever get bigger than the current biggest centralized exchanges, like Coinbase or Bitfinex.
That said, I do think they have a very bright future ahead of themselves. I've been using Bitshares for many years now and they've seen quite a boom lately.

Heck, last week I even saw someone offering to build white label Bitshares exhanges for a fee.
1551  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin owners cannot read on: August 20, 2018, 09:50:12 PM
If you can not read but you own a large amount of bitcon then you ask your relatives such as your wife or children they will support you read and know so you can trade bitcoin at will. self

Good to see that you're here proving OP's point, looking at your post history it's pretty clear that you just reply to increase your post count.
Next time, maybe try and read more than just the title...

This isn't a problem with Bitcoin owners, it's a problem that's specifically caused by the huge numbers of people from third world countries who are present here on the forum.
They're all hoping to earn a couple of dollars by spamming non-stop.

You know what would be funny, if you'd let them get, say, 200 posts and then just ban their ass.
Let them grow their accounts for a little while, just to take it away from them in the end.
1552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you invested in an ICO? - POLL on: August 20, 2018, 09:08:44 PM
I've actually never invested my own money into an ICO and probably never will.
I have participated in a couple of bounty campaigns and airdrops, all of which have given me some earnings, but I wouldn't say that I've made a ton from that.

I'm of the mentality that I'd only invest in finished products, with crypto that means only investing in established projects that already have their own blockchains.
1553  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★ Crypto-Games.net ★ Player just won 1.3 million $ ★ 4 Years old, lets parteee ★ on: August 20, 2018, 08:51:34 PM
Congrats with the 4 year anniversary!
I still remember last year's celebrations and you guys gave away a whole lot of crypto in those 24 hours!

Can definitely recommend to anyone to join in chat tomorrow, there will probably be fun little chat games with great prizes.
1554  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your opinions about today's trading? on: August 20, 2018, 08:42:04 PM
Currently there's huge volatility on all markets and it's pretty easy to predict if the price is going up or down (in the short term).
I usually don't day trade, but I'm making an exception now, just because these significant price swings are perfect.

You'll see the Bitcoin price going up by 100 - 300 dollars and then dropping to its previous levels.
That pattern keeps repeating and if you have the funds, now is a good time to take advantage of that.
1555  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With Bitcoin Sinking, Crypto Miners Just Dig Deeper on: August 17, 2018, 07:01:17 PM
So bitcoin mining becomes unprofitable,if the price does under 6400 USD?
I guess that's why the current bitcoin price gets a really strong support at 6000 USD.Perhaps the miners use their last year profits to buy some bitcoins,in order to stabilize the bitcoin market demand.

Read again, your numbers are incorrect.

Quote
Various analysts have have tried to calculate the break-even price for miners, which may offer support for prices. Bullish research firm Fundstrat Global Advisors has estimated $8,000. Morgan Stanley has said that large mining farms make money only with Bitcoin trading above $8,600, according to a CNBC report. Researchers at CoinShares, which offers cryptocurrency investment products, estimated in a May report the average marginal cost of a Bitcoin is $6,400. The digital currency traded at about $6,500 on Friday.

Aren't those numbers way too generalized? I can't imagine that they all have similar fixed costs to run their farms?
1556  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Exchange Whitelabel Service on: August 17, 2018, 03:11:09 PM

Sorry, my ANN skills are lacking.

What's your pricing for a custom centralized exchange? Might be useful to add some ballpark figures at least.
Definitely cool that you're also offering to build decentralized Bitshare exchanges, haven't seen that too often.

Good luck with your service!

Thank you. We have a few exchanges out there and we're excited about the direction we're heading.

Bitshares was a request from a customer and I really enjoyed working with it. I see a lot of potential in the blockchain. I think it's highly underutilized.

As for price we start with our base install. Which for both would include the ability to deposit, withdraw and trade 5 cryptos. With Bitshares this is a reference to the gateway portion of the exchange. You can, of course, add any asset on the Bitshares network without a gateway at your discretion.

Deployed the centralized version costs $12,000USD. This comes with 60 days of support and an option for a maintenance plan after that. You can customize the package to your
hearts content. We have TradingView charts available but you could also implement their entire trading interface, which is very nice. www.tradingview.com/platform Of course
    these are add-ons.

The Bitshares exchange has some versatility. If you were going to go with our base package I would quote it at $8,250USD. However, there are some scenarios where you may not
want a gateway on your Bitshares exchange. Local regulation or maybe a new concept that doesn't require one. In which case we can work out a better deal.  Visual customization
    is a bit limited with

I agree with you on Bitshares, I think it has huge untapped potential. Currently sitting in third place, as most active blockchain as well, after EOS and Steem. Source: https://blocktivity.info/

1557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Mofos on: August 17, 2018, 02:00:32 PM
It's always the same, when the market turns red for a while, these sorts of people all come out of the woodwork to complain that 'Bitcoin is dead'.
You don't see them when the market recovers, as it always does.

Don't even bother replying to those threads, most of the time they don't even take the time to read the replies anyway.
1558  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy Bitcoin, US Dollar Will Become Worthless: Warns Kim Dotcom on: August 17, 2018, 01:25:43 PM
Yeah, I wouldn't really take financial advice from someone like Kim Dotcom... Next you'll tell me to take investment advice from McAffee  Roll Eyes
The dollar isn't going to crash any time soon... I mean invest in Bitcoin, but don't do it because you think that the dollar will eventually become worthless, you could be waiting for a very very long time.
1559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can anyone teach me? on: August 17, 2018, 01:08:36 PM
I was just thinking that it's possible to get some poker coaching from professional players, I've seen coaching sessions on Twitch for example.
It might be a good idea to browse the poker category on Twitch and look out for players offering lessons etc.

It's down for me.

There's something wrong with their SSL certificate, you can visit it if you use http://www.freeca.sh/ instead of https://www.freeca.sh/
I'm just wondering how successful something like this could be, I can't imagine you'd earn a whole lot by browser mining.
