I really don't understand why people are still using exchanges like Hitbtc and Yobit, they're the worst of the worst. Not only when it comes to fees... Their support is really terrible and you'll find numerous scam reports about them here in the forum.
They're known for holding people's funds hostage and randomly closing down withdraws on certain coins.

Practice makes perfect if you are a chess player Professional gamblers can have so many ups and downs in one month's time that the stress alone will make you quit if not the losses. I think the only way to consistently beat the bookies is arbitrage betting. Mathematics can't fail you at the end of the day. Everything else is gambling. People can not predict with certainty the outcomes of events they have no full control over. Otherwise all the statisticians and analysts would have been winning all the time and all the houses would have been out of business by now I think if a bettor waged on every favorite in Russia from start to finish they would have ended in the red because stats lie. Performance can change, player fitness can change, injuries can happen and there are other factors that can alter the outcome of competition. I am trying to say that there is no clear-cut 100% working formula for success when luck is involved. Hard work is necessary in every field of life. If you work hard in gambling, definitely you will eat the fruit in shape of winning money. Regular gambler spent a lot of time in seeking tricks and tactics and then become gambling experts. Nobody can use good tactics from the very first day. You will have to work hard to become gambling specialist. Winning the bet will be easy for you. Something tells me that there are a lot of gambling addicts out there that think they're doing 'hard work', while in reality they're just fooling themselves. There are very very few professional gamblers who actually manage to make a living out of gambling. Whatever the game may be, sports betting, poker or blackjack. For the majority of people it's a lot better to put your hard work and effort in something else, before you end up getting addicted because you've convinced yourself you're a professional player.

For BTC/USD, I usually use either Bitstamp or Kraken, mostly because I've used them for several years now and haven't encountered any problems with them. For me personally it's also an added bonus that they also support BTC/EUR, since I always deposit in euros.

Statistics on completed bounties : 1.Multiversum - in the spreadsheet , for the prices of ico came out so, for 9 weeks legendary - $30k hero - $22k Sr - $15k full - $9k member - $6k The result: there were about 60 people in the bounty, in the end it turned out pretty good 2. Inspem In the spreadsheet for ICOs prices, Jr. member(9 нед.) - $1297 Member(6 нед.) - $1297 Full(7 нед.) - $3278 Sr. member(9 нед.) - $5512 Hero(2) - $1585 Legendary(1) - $864 Result: there were altogether 106 people, and most of them appeared already at the end , as a result, the prices were fairly good. Are those results for real? Have legendary members actually earned 30k on that Multiversum campaign? Damn, I think I have to look into some of these bounties if that much money can be made from them

I don't really participate in bounties too much, they take up way too much of my time and usually this doesn't end in too much profit. That said, I've recently earned around 150 dollars through some Byteball airdrops and bounties they did on the Steem platform.
Still have double of that in a smart contract until next year as well.

I would just support the most popular cryptocurrencies, but also fiat. No point in leaving a bunch of potential user out by not offering fiat payments/deposits. Just take a look at the existing crypto crowdfunding platforms, they're not at all that popular.
You need every possible user that you can get, the market is dominated by Kickstarter and Indiegogo.

Like Don Pedro Dinero, I've also played poker professionally a few years ago, so might be interested in joining a group like this. Don't play too much poker nowadays, but I still gamble on other types of games.
Looking to learn more about sports betting too.

I just don't understand how this can be overrated. It's a good strategy when you think about it... Yeah, you might say that it's better to sell when Bitcoin has reached a temporary peak, but it's because of hodlers that we didn't go back down again to sub $5000 levels. I'd even go as far as saying the hodl is one of the most iconic terms in the crypto community. It's history that has been made on this very forum! Check out the original HODL thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=375643.0

Welcome to February 2018. You are a bit slow there, mate. Virtual currencies (cryptocurrencies, e.g., Bitcoin) become the equivalent to legal means of payment, insofar as these so-called virtual currencies of those involved in the transaction as an alternative contractual and immediate means of payment have been accepted.

Somewhat ironic, the video you shared is from 2013. Damn it, looks like no-one even noticed your reply, since everybody is just repeating the same crap over and over again. I can't even view the video, but I wasn't able to find any recent news articles that mention this 'news'. Found this one from a year ago: https://bigthink.com/ideafeed/in-germany-bitcoin-is-now-legal-tenderReally OP, do some research before posting outdated stories like this. On a side note: they should just outright ban everybody who replied to this thread without doing the most basic of research. You guys just show that you're only in it to increase your post count.

I've always used http://www.thepokerbank.com as my main resource for learning how to play. They have some really great articles about the mathematics of poker and it's completely free. Seems like they've dropped a bit on Google Search, so you won't find them in your main search results anymore.

I just don't understand why you didn't go, it's only one day in your life and you make your friends and family happy by going. Plus, there's food and drinks and it's generally just pretty fun to do.
You can't make me believe that you really didn't have the time for it. Honestly it almost sounds like you have an unhealthy obsession.

Yeah, I feel like the Bitcoin community should also do something like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4663099 (Nano community is donating food to Venezuelan citizens) Or maybe there are already bitcoin related crowd-funding efforts to help the people in Venezuela? I have no idea, do share if you know some.
|
|

Yeah I agree that it's great advertising for Nano, while it's also making a real impact on the people living in Venezuela. More crypto projects should do stuff like this, as long as the recipients can get verified somehow, so the money doesn't fall into the wrong hands.
I like the fact that pictures have been posted on that thread, really showing the amount of food that has been bought.

Great looking banners, I'll use them under every Steemit post I make from now on, instead of the text ads that I used to use. Also, thanks for the graphs Lutpin, good to know that the ETH hot wallet usually holds enough funds to process big wins.
Also agree with CG being the best crypto casino, also one of the safest and most lucrative crypto investments for sure!

I think For customers it is hard to wait in the coffee shop until they get enough confirmation of the bitcoin process. So there are none but many problems in using this currency. Until the moment we do not see a big preparation for this we can not see any progress as a whole. So there is no provision for this purpose and that is why they may not just accept it easily.
That's what lightning network will solve once it's fully operational and in wide use. So please don't spread misinformation by saying that there is no solution yet for this problem. Even now there are enough brick and mortar stores that are accepting Bitcoin. Usually they even allow 0 confirmations to make purchases. Most people just do it fairly and in case of double spends etc. they just eat up the loss.

Here's the official response from Dan Larimer regarding the supposed attack on ETH by EOS: I can assure you block one wouldn’t be so stupid to spend our resources attacking eth when all it takes is crypto kitties. There are far smarter and more cost-effective ways at bringing eth down if that were the goal. Source: https://bcfocus.com/altcoin/did-eos-attack-ethereum-blockchain-dan-larimer-responds/18373/Not making any statements here myself, just posting the response.

Of course impossible. Steemit is still a threshold for many people, and the operation is too complicated. It can't be very simple to use, which limits its use of the atmosphere. There must be more advanced and easy to use products.
Have you even used it? It's pretty simple to use actually, if you just want to blog, you can get started in less than 5 minutes. The whole economic aspect might be a little difficult to understand, but it will explain itself after you've used it. Writing a blog post is even easier than on Wordpress for example.

|
|
Like everybody is saying, Steemit is completely different than Facebook, but I do want to somewhat answer your question. I do think Steemit has a pretty bright future ahead, especially when they launch their Smart Media Tokens.
Now, I wouldn't count that much on Steemit itself becoming vastly more popular, but there will be numerous new dapps that will be running on Steem. Dtube is a good example, but it wil become much better than that.
I personally just try to post as much on there as possible, just to get a decent investment going there once SMT's are launched.
