There's only one Red Alert and that's the original Command & Conquer by Westwood studios Tongue
Aren't you going to have trouble with possible copyright issues here?
1302  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitbox - A simple, intuitive hardware solution for running full nodes on: October 25, 2018, 03:10:09 PM
Who will be buying the Bitbox tokens or are they only a stepping platform to conversion to other tokens? Something has to give the Bitbox tokens some kind of value, before they can be used to pay someone.  Huh

Great question, I was wondering that as well after checking out the website's FAQ.

Where does the demand for Bitbox tokens come from exactly?

Done't get me wrong, it would be great if you could eventually deliver a finished product that will allow people to run full nodes easily.
I just don't quite see why people would want to do that for tokens that might not have any value.

That said, I'm sure that some people would just buy it regardless of any earnings, just because they want to run a full node without expecting profit for it.
1303  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Yobit is scam or Ponzi! on: October 25, 2018, 02:57:42 PM
Not that Yobit would care about that, since they're allegedly registered in an offshore haven somewhere in Russia. (Can't recall exactly where i got that information from..  Sad(If someone could fill me in that would be great!) )

All the sources I've checked mention that it's registered in Russia. Not that they're great sources, but I literally couldn't find any more information.
Checking the WHOIS of the domain does indicate that they're probably based in Russia

Here's the WHOIS, if anyone is interested:

1304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to invest in other platforms other than Bitcoin on: October 25, 2018, 02:42:32 PM
Since you're talking about a coin that actually gives you an income, I'd suggest you try out Steemit.
Even with a relatively small stake, you can earn decently by investing in different bots.

If you're somewhat good at writing, you can also get earnings from that.

Check out my account to gauge what you could be earning. I'm by no means a whale, but I'm pretty happy with what I earn there.

1305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Perfect crypto betting experience on: October 25, 2018, 10:20:05 AM
For me the most important thing would be the actual trustworthiness of the website in question. I mean a sportsbook can have great features, but if it's not trusted, all those features still do not make it worth playing on.

Second is the speed of deposits and withdraws, I would only play if they were instant. I've gotten so used to just receiving my winnings immediately after I withdraw them, that I wouldn't want to miss that.

When it comes to sportsbetting, I do not really care if the website has a lot of bells and whistles, I just tend to make simple bets anyway, so there's no need for any special features for me.
1306  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: MyDiceBot will be released in the next couple of days...so please stay tuned on: October 25, 2018, 10:07:54 AM
Which platforms are you going to support? More than are currently available in Seuntjies DiceBot?
What are some features that your bot has, that Seuntjies DiceBot doesn't have?

The screenshot doesn't really show that much information. I assume you're also going to add some pre-made scripts?

* platforms we are supporting are the ones providing APIs, such as bitsler, 999dice, yolodice, crypto-games, etc. Not more than Seuntjies DiceBot, as our project is too new. We have plan to add more platforms step by step in the future.
* right now Seuntjies DiceBot more advanced than ours. the only one benefit to use ours is 'cross-platform'. You could use our bot not only on Windows, but also on Mac, Linux, Web, etc.
* pre-made scripts? some kind of. actually we are trying our best to compatible with the scripts of Seuntjies DiceBot. It means most of the existing Seuntjies DiceBot scripts are workable in our bot, or just doing some minor change is enough. Compatibility of Seuntjies DiceBot scripts is our highest priority goal and feature.

Thanks for the response!

The fact that it's cross-platform is definitely a huge benefit over Seuntjies DiceBot, at least for the Mac and Linux users.
Also great that you're planning on making making scripts compatible with Seuntjies DiceBot, that should make it very easy to "import" existing strategies.

Do share your Github link one you open up the code! Cheers!
1307  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Opinions needed about marketplace - HODLbazaar on: October 24, 2018, 08:40:05 PM
Quick question:

What's your exact business model here? Are you planning on charging a percentage of the total value of the transaction or a flat fee?
If so, how much?

While I generally agree with everything AdolfinWolf said, that doesn't mean that you couldn't build a successful niche.
I'm really not a fan of the name though, way too convoluted and the name doesn't fit the project. I agree with Kprawn on that.

1309  Economy / Economics / Re: Four Global Banks Involved In Yet Another Money Laundering Scheme on: October 24, 2018, 05:39:05 PM
It's pretty unbelievable that thhese banks have such huge amounts of leeway from the government.
I mean if you're caught doing any of this stuff as a regular citizen, you'll get caught in no time and the consequences will be pretty severe.

Yet these banks can just break the law willingly, without suffering any consequences for it.
Heck they're even bailed out by the government when they're going under due to their own mistakes.

I get that the government wants to prevent people's savings going up in smoke, but they should honestly just let them go down.
1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the strangest or craziest thing you witnessed in a casino? on: October 24, 2018, 05:31:52 PM
The craziest thing I have heard about betting is a guy bet with his wife when he ran out of money,so crazy right but even more that person lost that bet too and left her wife to the person who won the bet (maybe the person was happy for losing that particular bet Grin).I didn't witness it directly but I have heard it from my friends circle. So don't gamble to this level guys keep yourself in control while betting.

Come on... I don't believe for one second that this is true, unless it's in some backwards part of the world.
It's probably just meant as a joke or something or you're just talking out of your ass.
1311  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★ Crypto-Games.net ★ 4 Years Old ★ 58.000$ wagering contest ★ on: October 22, 2018, 07:56:30 PM
Largest exchange from PLAY to other coins is 1,471,431,412 PLAY which gives 0.30338792 BTC.
Largest PLAY profit is held by a player ZacharyIAM, who profited 728,699,382.39 PLAY (0.145739 BTC)!

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

Low quality reply, I know, but there's nothing more to say about that...
I assume there's no cap on how much PLAY credits you can keep in your account. Maybe 999,999,999,999.999 Wink

Pffffft, I guess people might win more with PLAY credits, just because they tend to be more risky with them.
1312  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BOID on: October 22, 2018, 04:06:01 PM
Not sure if this is the correct sub-forum, but I see that you've managed to write a decent post!
Especially considering it's your first one on the forum.

I see a lot of similarities between this and something like GRID, which rewards activity on BOINC (Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing)
I'm personally not that keen on doing any price predictions, but I would certainly like something like this to succeed.

I mean, if you're using BOID purely from a philanthropical POV, you shouldn't really care about the price, right?

That's the thing with those coins that are being released purely to serve to 'better the world'. I don't think most of them are actually economically viable, but I'd actually like them to be and I would certainly invest in them personally.

I just don't think the world agrees Cheesy
1313  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★ Crypto-Games.net ★ 4 Years Old ★ 58.000$ wagering contest ★ on: October 22, 2018, 11:55:27 AM
I want to share my lucky VideoPoker bet:

-snip-

It was made with PlayMoney and the win amount was 37 times higher than if hitting a Royal Flush with a minimum bet! Some might say: "What is the point of betting with PlayMoney? They are worthless anyway!" Well, not exactly. Actually you can exchange it to either BTC, LTC, ETH or DOGE directly on the site and then buy lotto tickets with it. That's what I'm going to do when I have enough PLAY for the exchange. Smiley

Good to see that there are other people who just buy lottery tickets with their 'small' wins.
I used to just buy lottery tickets with whatever I won with the faucet or with what I had received through the rainbot in chat.

That enabled me to occasionally win like 0.01 or 0.02 BTC without spending anything. (I did deposit as well, just for playing longer games of roulette, so I wasn't freeloading too much I think Tongue)

Now I wonder what the highest win on CG is, with PLAY credits. Like, has anyone ever won so much that they got like 0.01 BTC out of it?
1314  Economy / Gambling / Re: Potential Gambling Site Leak on: October 22, 2018, 11:47:33 AM
People should really be using a decent password manager that creates random strong passwords.
Different ones for every site you use. Also, don't just blindly trust 2FA, because there are definitely ways around that (depending on what kind of 2FA the website uses)

I can definitely recommend Keepass, which is an awesome open-source password manager.
https://keepass.info/

2FA with a mobile phone number is insecure and you don't know what they use your phone number for.
Just look at what Facebook did with phone numbers it collected for their 2FA, sold them to advertisers... (source)

This article is pretty interesting, it lists all the pros and cons of different 2FA methods:

1315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Overview of Universal Basic Income Crypto Projects [24 Projects Listed] on: October 22, 2018, 10:10:46 AM

thanks for the heads up!
I'll give a look on steemit project since I'm posting at least twice a month there.

Oh yeah, you definitely should, if you're already posting there.
There are a lot of ways to get free Steem Basic Income shares, just check the SBI Discord.

If you want you can share your Steemit username, then I'll send you a couple of shares to start with.
1316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Overview of Universal Basic Income Crypto Projects [24 Projects Listed] on: October 19, 2018, 09:11:50 PM
how often do you update the main post?

it seems like Solidar is offline
https://solidar.it/

swift deman is also interesting but has no pratical application at the moment since you can't spend the tokens/coins and use it out of the platform, right?

I check for new projects every couple of months or so, but if anyone suggests a project to add, I usually add it within a couple of days.
I don't often keep track of the listed projects, so I must've missed that Solidar wasn't active anymore. Will adjust the OP

Yeah Swiftdemand seems to be very inactive. They do seem to make announcements on Twitter from time to time, so isn't completely dead.

thanks for the update
would you recommend any of the links on the OP that you use, it's working and generates more than 10 usd a month?

Well, I'm actively using Steem Basic Income, which gives me around 1 dollar per day.
The thing is that you need to be an active blogger on Steemit for that and it also requires some investment, not it's not a typical form of basic income.

Aside from that, I can recommend joining Manna, since you do not have to do anything to receive a basic income, though it will definitely not earn you 10 dollars per month.
The price of manna has been steadily dropping, so it's worth almost nothing.
1317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taking a break from gambling on: October 19, 2018, 07:38:29 PM
Closing this topic, since there doesn't appear to be any original discussion any more.
It would just attract more spam if I leave it up.

Also, I've decided that I'm not going to gamble any more at all, so now it's completely irrelevant.

Thanks to those who've made genuinely good replies!
1318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lost $350k / 54 BTC gambling, need help :( on: October 19, 2018, 04:18:38 PM
Please, first of all, ask CryptoGames to disable your account and ban your IP address.
They will do that if you're a problem gambler, that would be a very good first step.

Second, get professional help as soon as possible. Instead of gambling one last time, please make an emergency appointment with a mental health specialist.
Do whatever you can to stop yourself from gambling again.

From Crypto-Games FAQ:

Quote
What if I can't stop gambling?
Gambling can become an addiction that can have serious negative effects on your life. If you lose more than you planned to, please check these sites for information that can help you: Help Guide, Wikipedia. Or, you can contact us and we'll block your account and/or IP address. We truly value our players and do not want our Casino to negatively affect their lives.

You still have more than enough money left to live very comfortably for a couple of years. Please seek something else that gives you the same sort of adrenaline rush, but isn't detrimental to your mental health and finances.
1319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some well-known Bounty managers “disappeared”? on: October 19, 2018, 04:13:28 PM
It's not that unusual that bounty managers eventually give up, especially since many campaigns seemed to have stopped after the forum added anti-spam measures like merit.
I think the market was over-saturated to begin with. Too many crappy spammy projects, which eventually even failed to pay out their bounties in some cases.

I think that the forum will attract other projects though, but let's hope that more serious campaigns start appearing.
1320  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: 🔴[ANN] OpenCrypto.io : Open-source database launch on: October 19, 2018, 01:03:52 PM
You can learn more on our Medium
https://medium.com/@OpenCrypto_io/introduction-of-opencrypto-io-project-e2d7726eec83

Let us know, when you will write down that article - we could probably offer some insights Smiley
Basic difference between OpenCrypto and services like CMC is that we want to open and crowd-source validation of those data - and also provide more useful informations instead of just market data (like price, supply etc.)

Thanks! That Medium article really does explain everything quite well.
I think my questions will largely get answered by reading that Smiley

Will definitely ask you directly when I have any more questions and I'll share the article with you when it's finished.

Again, great job!
