1961  Other / Off-topic / Re: Working over 20 years still poor on: April 28, 2023, 08:32:35 PM
The same work some do for 5 years and make it in life, other may do it for over 20 years and still feed from hand to mouth. Can we conclude that such are individual destiny?
Depends on the situation. There are workers that have been working 10-20 years and then they're part of the sandwich generation and that's why the life don't have any progress on them. And that's because they've been obliged to sustain their parents needs and not for them.
There's also the difference between someone who knows how to manage his finances than of those that are lacking financial knowledge.
That's why some even have shorter tenure of employment gets more assets and better handling in money and managing it.

1963  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: April 28, 2023, 05:26:29 PM

1964  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im trader new here but in the trading quite long Im looking for partners on: April 27, 2023, 11:42:11 PM
Since you seem to be confident as you're trying to sell your picks and signals, why not apply it to your own trades and be the own customer of your signals?
I don't understand that many such offers do exist and if you're good with your picks then make yourself the own benefactor of it and be productive with your trades.
In that case, you'll not going to depend on the little commission that people that shall approach you and want to hear what you've got there. The results will benefit you instead of sharing it with others that might even runaway afterward if they profit.
1965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe I should wait before owning my bitcoin on: April 27, 2023, 11:06:40 PM
I'll trust more the greed index than that vote meter of buying and selling. Well, we have our every way of determining if it's a good time to buy or not.
But most of us will start buying when we consider the price is low and not with that type of measurement just as what you've indicated and said to be what you'll be following.
Anyway, if you buy, just think of it as your permanent decision that can't be altered so that you will have no regrets.
1966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid a scam project? on: April 27, 2023, 07:04:00 PM
There are so many new projects launching everyday and some of them can be good and some of them can be a scam as well. How can we identify it well? Perhaps we should have more discussion about it so we all can learn from everyone's experience.
When it's obvious that the project has nowhere to go. Someone can go in depth of research and can see that the people behind it seem to be the same people that we see on LinkedIn where they could have grabbed their photos.
That's why looking at the website and contents of it is a way to determine if a project should be avoided and from that, it'll be like a life savior for you when you have found out those type of red flags.
1967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to keep your money in bank? on: April 27, 2023, 06:27:23 PM
The bank is a place to save money, not a place to invest.
Correct. It's a storage where we can keep our cash but that shouldn't stay there for long.

I keep money in the bank because I believe keeping money in the bank is a safe place. I get profit every month from bank interest yield, but for investment, I believe in crypto world after I invest in crypto world. profits from the results of my investment save again in the bank.
How much you're earning from their interest? They're too low compared to if you go with it on the market but then, the risk is lower, and almost got no risk at all by keeping it there.  And if this strategy works for you perfectly, there's no need for you to change it.
1968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in bitcoin on: April 27, 2023, 05:31:48 PM
Yes, holding Bitcoin for the long-term can be a good investment strategy for those who believe in the long-term potential of the cryptocurrency. It is true that the price of Bitcoin can be volatile in the short-term, but over the long-term, Bitcoin has shown a tendency to increase in value.
If someone is still in doubt about that fact, they can hover over the chart of Bitcoin and look at its history.
That's more than enough to prove that bitcoin is something else and they can argue anytime they want if they're doubting it. But they'll never change the proof that we've got mostly as we've experienced the essence of having bitcoin. Having it is one of the best investments that one can ever have.
Those that keeps on doubting it will just see the other holders profiting from it at the right time when the bull run arrives.
1969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OpenSea investor cuts Platform’s Valuation By 75% on: April 27, 2023, 04:43:47 PM
That's a lot of losses for them. They should have sold their shares on them when it's on the top days of NFTs.

So we will see if NFT can live or continue to exists till the next bull run. It will be the ultimate test for this market, in my opinion.
They might do something about this for them to at least get a break even. That's a lot of money that they've invested and I guess just like most of us, they've invested through the hype and didn't anticipate this happening. With the scenes that we've seen on this market, every trend has its end and there will be a new one that shall emerge while forgetting the former. Maybe they should just take the losses before it bears more losses.
1970  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Staking really great way in crypto wealth on: April 27, 2023, 02:59:29 PM
Staking when price fall you just buy more and put in to staking once price goes up you don't need to sell it you continue to staking so after u earn more.
The new feature on exchangers the EARN could be one of the best ways to earn income some of them Even no lock up or little as 14 days.
No liquitation risk and you sleep well newbie friendly method..instead of trading off course If you know what you doing trading good Also but staking Are great one.
Yes, they're one of the best ways to earn these days but there's still a risk with it. If an unfortunate moment comes and they've been hacked, they can just say that everything that's staked has been compromised and there's no way for them to have a refund.
This scenario can be real and that's why don't be too overwhelmed with these earn features even if you find it convenient. It's still best to stake into those wallets where you also hold the private keys. You have it better and secured and you've got more peace of mind and you can sleep better than it is with the exchanges.
1971  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Another bank again on: April 27, 2023, 01:02:50 PM
First republic bank lost 50% of it's value today and will reportedly be seize by the US government.

Another major bank has collapse, banks are dumping an bitcoin is pumping,
It pains me to see what is happening to the banking sector, but the good news is that bitcoin is doing what he knows how to do best, keep on pumping.
Well, this is a phenomenon that we're seeing. Banks here and there are starting to have their shares plummet and recording all-time lows with their shares.
Whilst bitcoin is doing good, people is starting to see that there's something wrong with the banking system that must be changed. And, we don't know how many of them will come and bite the dust from these known banks that have been operating for years. Just for the record and reference, here's a link to the news.

1972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 27, 2023, 12:09:38 PM
~snip~

Match of the year as far as the hype, but in the fight itself, it was a clear domination of Tank Davis, so I don't see it qualifying for fight of the year. There is a good match though still for us, and that is Haney vs Loma, this could be fight of the year of the match goes like back and forth between the two and it's hard to see who is winning.

Yeah, seems that Garcia has accepted that he can't be a lightweight anymore, time to move up to light welterweight at 140 lbs so that he won't rehydrate himself to death just like in this fight. And most likely it really affected his power because he can't rehydrate his body because there is a clause that he can only go as high as 10 lbs to recover before the actual fight. There are fighters that rehydrated as high as 15 lbs just to get their body to 100%.
So far as someone who's just having my opinion being shared, that's what I think but then. This is still a long year to go and there can be other fights that can surpass the hype that this match has got.
We've got another match upcoming from the Paul brothers and that's as usual have a lot of audience since they've managed to capitalize the hype and fame that they've gained throughout these matches.
1973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 27, 2023, 11:14:22 AM
This isn't just in the PBA but in most sports - people often think that games are rigged, but until now, no one has proven it. So it will just remain a speculation, and regardless, it won't affect the interest of the people in watching the game, especially for those real diehard fans.
Well, honestly that thinking will never be gone in any sporting event where gambling is also being done. It's not just all about the teams but it's the fans that are making these statements and thinking that they know better. It's possible that there really is match-fixing because it's seen for some sports but innocent until proven guilty. That's just a typical thought from the fans whenever the team they like didn't win especially if it's the finals.
1974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why gambling and mixing called bad actors in bitcoin on: April 27, 2023, 10:34:29 AM
From my experience and observations, I noticed both Bitcoin mixing and online gambling using Bitcoin are mostly regarded as bad actors in Bitcoin despite both being the highest Bitcoin adopters and having the largest Bitcoin volume in transactions and services.
Secondly, if Gambling and Bitcoin mixing services are called bad actors, what about centralized exchanges are they also perceived as bad actors in Bitcoin?
They'll link to anything they want to just to give that bad impression for bitcoin. Look, they're already concluding that mixers and casinos are bad things but aren't they looking at the good side of it that it increases someone's privacy if he uses a mixer?
Whilst in gambling, is there any different from it as someone does bitcoin gambling and those that are gambling in the traditional casinos? I don't think that there's that much difference on it as it's just someone who gambles bitcoin as the currency and someone goes to the casinos that gambles with fiat, they're bias and simply hate bitcoin.
1975  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do not waste your time on: April 27, 2023, 09:49:51 AM
That's true that if you're not making money from them then you're just wasting your money. But don't forget those people that are also into entertainment, it may seem to be much saying that we're all wasting our time but those that understand their limit are just passing by and killing time through it.
Yes, there's nothing bad in passing time or having some fun through it but people should know their boundaries as you said because things like this are like gambling addiction and the worse thing is that they consume a lot of internet data.
I understand that some countries don't have that allocated much of data into their countries but it's not a problem to the most if they consume a lot of it because it's paid.

The only social media app I have is Twitter and it is only to keep up about some important crypto events and news.
Well, that's nice. It's a known social media platform where most of the crypto projects are active.
Yes, but it is also the empire of cryptocurrency influencers abusing of power.
And the shilling there is rampant and that's why someone who's there should be aware if they're being shilled by the influencer that they're following. But usually, most that everyone see there are insights from genuine crypto influencers.

1978  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't claim to be an investor if it's still like this on: April 26, 2023, 11:52:38 PM
It's true that investments don't grow overnight and it requires tough patience on it for see its growth. Many of the newbies in investing think that it will just grow so fast at the rate that they want to be but that's not how it goes.

Warren Buffet alone only returns 29% per year.  And that means if we invest $10k, it will only be $12.9k next year, not immediately becoming sultan.
If it's 29% annually and the example you've given is $10k then the APY should be $2,900 instead of $12,900. It's true that we won't be in that position of being like a sultan or highness with these investments. But someone who understands the process that this is good money and you just need to be wise and have more of them so that these incomes especially the passive ones will just come to you with ease. But at the start of it, this is the hardest part where you'll need to dedicate a lot of time to learn and to test and at the same time, a lot of money.
1979  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What really makes pastors children rebel? on: April 26, 2023, 11:26:32 PM
It's just too much expectation and became a standard knowing that these children's parent is a pastors. But then, how young are these children we're talking about? I've known children of pastors that really were rebelling against their parents at a young age up to their teenage.
And then when they've grown up and experienced the bitter truth about this life, they go back to their calling and continue the path of what their parents have started, which is to address the ministry that's been set on their shoulders. That's why I think, age is a big factor and also too much expectation from these children. Nobody's perfect but we compare and try to comprehend because they've got good parents that should lead them as an example.
1980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 26, 2023, 10:55:12 PM
First, congratulations to TNT.
Too many controversies and issues are happening to Philippine Basketball. This one that I'll mention is also related to PBA because it includes PBA players. Our very own Gilas seem to have not in condition and they even lack players. Some players already stated their beg-off.

They can't force players who aren't going to play. We have a huge number of players on our roster, so I think the coach should know how to utilize them and give them the opportunity to represent our country. Surely, they are hungry for this kind of opportunity.
Yes, they can't force players and that's why many don't seem to be interested as they've got other reasons to beg off. I think the whole thing started when it was all about its coach and the management, SBP. Many Filipinos are disappointed on how these lead are managing the country's team.

We need players with heart, players who are willing to sacrifice just to fight for our country through this particular sport. Just like what happened to Abando, he was only benched by Coach Chot, but in reality, he is a great player. So, maybe they can start finding someone like him and give that player his moment to shine.
All of them wanted to represent the country but if most of them are declining, there goes the problem comes from the coach itself. They don't want to be humiliated in front of many basketball Filipino fans. Thus, they're now having a lesser pool of players. I guess we're still in the "learning phase" just as what has been said by Chot. The pity team has got a lot of great talents with heart but only uses those he likes and favors and I hope this is an eye opener to the PSC and SBP.
