......

yeah keep dreaming with your 17 $ total 24 h volume your coin is just confusing so many people about the name, and i understand how you see it beeing popular, 2 days ago the volume was a whole 3 $ so yeah 600% volume rise in 2 days ... i like your writings, everytime im smiling when i read them Cheesy

So who is shorting DASH right now ? - Big cojones Smiley

Just for the protocol i'm waiting for bitcoin to touch that chinese lucky number 8 - we are almost there - 800 dollar - my gut tells me it could takes some nice dumps there, and im ready when it happens, and im also ready to buy out some of that DASH shorters if bitcoin looses some stream Smiley

So lets see how predictable these chinese numbers are - and how small those DASH shorters cojones will be then  Wink - i'm ready for it

i'm smiling too when you and your buddies say things like "your coin" like it has no name HAHA ... besides it's not my coin, just holding a bag of it that i mined Cheesy ..and keep pointing at its price like its about to die, fake ass DASH proponents failed to kill it, poloniex delisting failed to kill it and it is outliving Bytecoin [BCN] at the moment  Wink

I'm confused. There appears to be two Dash coins in the coinmarketcap top ten???

That's because Darkcoin stole the name from the Dashcoin community.

The ironic thing is Dashcoin, which is based on the superior Cryptonote protocol, offers much better privacy/fungibility/anonymity than anything Darkcoin ever implemented.

Dash uses a bastardized, broken, cargo-cult's "bad crypto" bamboo version of CoinJoin.

Dashcoin uses proven/working/legit crypto in the form of stealth addresses and ring signatures.

Dash's off-chain, online DarkSend takes forever as participants are at the mercy of current conditions (ie how many others want to mix at the moment) and trusted 3rd party Masternodes' security.

Dashcoin's on-chain, offline mixing is instant, as it uses the entire set of all previous transactions for mixing, and so does not require trusted 3rd parties nor liquidity providers.

Of course the DashHoles around here will shoot the messenger and attack me for stating those facts, rather than attempt to refute them.

Perhaps they'll start to listen when Dashcoin's market cap exceeds Dash's (which at this rate won't be long from now).   Grin

More info here: http://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/943/is-dash-based-on-cryptonote-or-coinjoin

Bytecoin [BCN] seems like its dying now, blockchain sync issues to some users, offline forum and website, its 100% no premine clone, the original DASH, the true DASH, Dashcoin, DSH ... might take BCN's seat and continue the development.

my copycat fake ass DASH buddies here might get into some friendly discussions with me again  Grin specially if there are two Dashcoins in coinmarketcap first page  Grin
1984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin. Secure, private, untraceable since 2012 on: December 17, 2016, 01:49:11 AM
Dash is a shitcoin with a premine as well.. Monero is the only fair and good clone to come from bytecoin forks. BCN is close to dead if not already and it's almost mined out with no devs left either. Good riddance, it was always a scam anyhow.

i agree DSH is a shitcoin, depends on how we look at it, i for one look at it as BCN continuation, i have speculated BCN might die due to 82% premine so a 100% clone of it might be a good shit/shot  Cheesy

mining Dash had given me a few more XMR btw, it was more profitable mining DSH and exchanging it to XMR at poloniex back then for quite some time...decided i'll keep a few DSH too

there is no premine, i'll qoute this from the old Dash thread. (anyone can read the old Dash thread for any investigation btw  Wink)

I, for one, have been submitting requests to exchanges to get it listed. So we can finaly have some decent controversy and drama. Mining alone gets pretty boring.

It seems this is the only Cryptonote coin without controversy and drama..can it be true, a troll free Cryptonote coin?

I will mine  Grin

That's because it's not on an exchange.

Dash the Darkcoin/Xcoin do have a premine/instamine  Grin
1985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v9.1 on: December 17, 2016, 12:44:41 AM
wow nvidia catching up.. i think AMD can still squeeze more H/s..i played civilization 6 with my fury, still with 260 H/s  Cool and if i'm doing web browsing and multitasking it feels like there is no mining happening in the background (no lags with 330-340 H/s).

Same here but with Nvidia :-D.
So its nothing AMD exclusive.

maybe it's all about the algo, hashing it tends to use other parts of the gpu that's not that critical to playing games, watching videos, browsing etc.. maybe there's quite a few more room for extra hashes for both amd and nvidia out there.

BCN Community Website: http://bytecoiner.org/
Bytecoin Forum: https://bytecointalk.org

DEAD??

both sites are down? blockchain don't sync anymore?

people here is a 100% clone of bytecoin with 0% premine, was released July 2014 when nvidia(gpu), amd(gpu), cpu mining were optimized...also when linux, windows and mac were all capable to mine cryptonote..botnets didn't infest this coin. blockchain syncs, network works...coin distribution is of course better than bytecoin..

Dashcoin [DSH] https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1020627.0...maybe people/the community will continue bytecoin development using Dashcoin

i hope further optimizations will push botnets profits lower on cryptonote mining.

Hello all

I was referred to this coin as it needs a dev and a revival.

I cannot full time work on this, but if anyone is still interested, can you please provide me with link to the source code and upload a compressed copy of the blockchain.

~BM

uploading the compressed blockchain with wallet "Fantom.exe" file...i don't have the source, maybe the linux users here still have a copy

will update this post with the link once upload completes..

glad i forgot to delete this on my PC haha, lets see if the blockchain mechanic fixes this stuck blockchain

Can you post the full link ?

sorry i had to create mega account first..

Great , thank you.

Unfortunately , to fix it, i still need the source. If you know any users who have it, i can get to work.

i guess we have to wait for someone who have the source to read this thread..hope they didn't deleted their copies

i PM this elbandi guy, he mentioned he always build from the source from this post.

My wallet is connected to this nodes, and they all have this blockheight: 754848 (current)
Code:
91.218.245.239:31000
158.255.1.8:31000
82.200.205.30:31000
141.105.66.136:31000

Can you please post link to download your wallet version?
Own build (no changes) from github url, i always build the wallet from source.

what's up with this dummy plugs? ... since i started mining in 2013 i didn't have to use one.

the only time i used a dummy dvi plug when i was trying to change the clocks in amd catalyst per card, when i plug the dummy to second card it will become the default display and then i can change clocks in that card (using amd catalyst).....that was waaaay back in the past until i figured out that i can change clocks using mining software and apps like msi afterburner and sapphire trixx..

i'm suspecting radmin (remote access software i'm using)...i don't know...you guys can take a look and test it, this might be the one that saved me from dummy plugs..maybe because it installed "radmin mirror driver" in display adapters in device manager..

this desktop pc i'm using (with fury card as my primary gpu), i tested plugging a rx 480 with usb riser (as a second card) and it hashes with 84 H/s (ZEC) or something, i forgot the exact numbers but it is really low hash....one difference i can point out to my mining rigs is this desktop pc has no "radmin mirror driver" installed because it is a client not a server (it is the pc i am using to access the mining rigs in my LAN)

test it guys and share here if it worked.

1994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v9.0 on: December 09, 2016, 12:15:50 PM
ZEC has complex PoW which consists of many steps, they are different and therefore have different power usage.
If your PSU cannot handle power usage peaks, it's not a problem of the miner.
Also note that I try to achieve maximal speed, it always causes more power usage and more GPU usage, so if you have OCed GPUs or weak PSU it may work for v8 but may fail for v9.
BTW, I added a couple of additional range checks for better stability (these checks are non-critical, just for sure), I will release an update in a few hours. Note this update will not change power usage.

i'm quoting this..

i guess a lot of miners today didn't start mining during scrypt mining era (ex. litecoin) ... most likely they started mining during ETH era where GPUs don't draw their max rated power.

my rigs are all stable btw, i just reduced the core clocks of some of my overclocked GPUs and all is good again.
1995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin mining on super computers on: December 09, 2016, 07:11:52 AM
Try monero..i think cpu mining has a chance there, specially a supercomputer
Okay thanks. Do you by any chance, vaguely know how much Monero coin or USD will it generate in 24 hours?

i don't know the capability of your supercomputer when it hashes the cryptonight algorithm since i didn't mine monero with my cpu, but from what i've read back then cpu can do better at monero compared to zcash and ethereum.

The only way to know is to test it...even vaguely know how much is still too vague for me to make even a rough estimate LOL.

You can also google monero mining calculator..find how much an i7 cpu hashes and then multiply its hash/income in relation to the supercomputer hash rate...by doing that you can now have an estimated income

my other rigs are fine even with -i 8 maybe because my PSUs have allowance in power draw even if i switch to scrypt mining (notorious for maxing out cards power draw).

Arielbit.... you use your GPU to mine Scrypt?  Shocked

no, i'm only mentioning scrypt here because i like to point out that scrypt mining (as i experienced back in 2013-2014) is my standard in budgeting PSU power to GPUs today.

Even 480s are budgeted to me at 2x card per 750w..i know it uses less power than 280x's but it just made my psu more efficient..(if you look at the efficiency curve of a psu) anyway if claymore updates his miner for more power and more hash, my psu's are ready

update:

my 280x rig stabilized when i downclock my 390 in there to 1110 core from 1130 at -i 8, funny while my 4x 390 rig is fine at 1130 core -i 8 since v9 was launched...my other 280x rig is fine at -i 7

 What area are you in?

i'm in south east asia.

I'm supprised it's dry enough where you're at for evaporative effects to be noticeable at all.

I'm mostly all-in on ETH now - my dual 280x rig is still ZEC 'cause it's a tossup either way, and the older HD7750/HD78x0 cards with 2GB or less are ZEC 'cause they can't mine ETH.

XMR is WAY far down on profitability on every comparison I'v ever done. THe only thing I have running XMR is my older XP-based gaming machines 'cause it's the only thing I CAN run on the GTX 750 Ti in that machine - but the pools I've tried seem to only like giving me about half of my hashrate no matter what I try, and the payout thresholds are crazy high.

Claymore v9 seems to be VERY iffy - everything I've tried it on is NOTHING BUT REJECTS when it runs at all, and quite a few other folks reporting it don't work well if at all.

well not all countries are uniform in their respective climates, there are locations where there could be different temp, humidity etc..being near a forest, a river, the winds blows from the east, the altitude etc... Evap cooler fans are being sold here btw.

My rigs are stable at claymore v9, after the release of v9 i was able to mine with -i 8 and -i 7 but the miner experienced restarts after 24 hrs or less of mining (using -r 1)..so today i lowered it to -i 6 ......but that's only for my 280x rigs, the rest are fine

there is also this power spiking issue that Claymore needs to fix - I have reverted back to v8 for some rigs but most rigs are OK with i=5 and i=6

I will be posting some pix soon as soon as I get the blower re-positioned, etc.

one of my 280x rig is not happy even with -i 6 ... i'm lowering clocks and returned to -i 8.. will share my results later.

my other rigs are fine even with -i 8 maybe because my PSUs have allowance in power draw even if i switch to scrypt mining (notorious for maxing out cards power draw).
