okay...okay...i surrender riser haters hehe

in the end we got to do what works for us  Wink  ...got some that still work from 2013 BTW

That is bullsh*t. BTC Cash out should be refunded as BTC, not the other way around. Like for example I have cash out 0.5101 BTC which is equivalent to Php 89,508.27 (got errors) and yes, they immediately refunded it in my peso wallet amounting to Php 89,508.27 which is only 0.48748329 BTC (when you convert it again for trading purposes), your balance is actually missing 0.02261671 BTC.

Aside from that kind of strategy on refunding coins, the slow transfer of cash out thru bank accounts are not good. They should change their service provider, saying you don’t need to wait from long line? Really? Banks can easily transfer your fiat to other banks in seconds, sense of urgency is very important in this fast growing world that we live in. If we want this cryptocurrency revolution to be successful, fast transactions should help us a lot. We are not complaining coins.ph team, it is just our suggestions.

dapat may option sila pag nagcacashout, like choosing a "refund option if things go wrong" -peso or -BTC(hindi bawas na BTC ha!). makes users responsible for their actions  Wink
1303  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: February 02, 2019, 12:21:11 PM

(cashout from btc wallet and refunded in peso)

Nagerror sya e need ko ng funds so ang nangyari nyan I initiated another conversion from btc to php na naman + fees.

problem is..

1.) nagparamdam sila pag magcacashout ka

2.) hindi ito mapagkakatiwalaan "trust and verification" kamo hehe kasi sabi sa akin "we required this form to everyone who have reached a certain cumulative volume to our platform" ....so walang kwenta ang nasa pic kasi gagawin nila ang gusto nila at hindi yung "trust and verification".

3.) something is wrong in the picture

Generally those gamer type motherboards which allow triple SLI ( or triple crossfire) are very expensive and you need a huge tower case if you want it to be enclosed.

Reason why is because the last GPU will need to go in the last slot and that is usually where the PSU sits (newer cases have PSUs sitting at the bottom not top like the 90s)

Its basically cheaper to just buy a regular motherboard, use risers and just buy a server chassis and you can easily run 5 or 6 GPUs without issue.

server chassis or any case...nope, just zip tie those cards in the rack and you have all the space you want to be able to put your two hands where you need it when troubleshooting or maintaining.

a 300w (max) gpu is a perfect fit for a 3 gpu rig config..like a 900w for 3x card plus system power consumption......a perfect fit for a 1200w psu (1200w is a sweet spot for power-price-density-power efficiency ratio)

Exactly! Three cards, one motherboard, one psu, no crappy risers. Powerful and fail proof setup.

i use risers, boards that can handle those  3 to 4 gpus are too expensive or rare etc..

3 risers will be a lot easier to troubleshoot than finding the bad riser in a 8 card riser rig..shuffling by trial and error, testing your spares phew! haha

no the 8 slot boards using 4 cards  never break  and just run with the four cards doing 200 watts each the whole setup pulls

900 watts against the cheap good deal priced corsair 1500 watts atx psu.

My up time has been 99% since sept 2017

with zero psu or gpu  or board fails.

i was referring to risers not board hehe...anyway that is a one fine setup and to add to that if a socket got problematic you still have 4 more available.

yung bpi cash out inapprove which is almost 2x the amount of union bank cash out..

my cash out is more than level 2 but not more than level 3...they simply do what they want to do and this limits info is a lie.

and you are going to release this exchange? https://pro.coins.asia/ hehe good luck to future users..they will mess with your account in the future i bet  Tongue

Nice, I may have to get some 2070s.

It seems like the rtx series is better at some of the newer algos power / hash wise.  My 2080 gets over 7 on grin and 25 on progpow.

I pointed up thread that the latest, biggest and bad ass cards of their time, like hbm fury, 1080ti-gddr5x, 2080ti-gddr6 seems like having extra features or technology that is not that useful to mining, and then new crypto coins and tech will harness that new tech from latest cards..

the bad ass cards are excellent in density, very nice for smaller farms or micro, mini or whatever...more like home/shed based mining..these people who are recommending 470s 4gb and 1060s to newbs...how did it go? hehe, got to spend more money to earn more. imagine a mining room filled to the brim like around 50 of them(470 and 1060) compared to just 20 2080 ti with ability to scale up to 50 2080ti's...the number of rigs..etc. etc.

i hope nvidia release a 3000$ super baddass card in 2021. notice that monitors are getting bigger and 4k, 8k, new technologies have to get more extreme.

What happen to my GTX 1080ti I'm getting around 3.53 fixed mining almost 8 hours but I got huge hashrate drop almost 50%?

What happen? The gtx 1080ti is in GPU 0?

this happened to one of my 3 card (1080ti) rig, using gminer 1.23, other 3 card rigs works fine..

i put the card in 2 card rig, the card now mines at ~6.9, maybe due to cooler area i placed it in...i noticed that although the gpu core is lower in temps compared to the other 2 1080 ti it simply throttles down from ~6.9 to 3.6 after a few hours...leaving it for now since it is doing ~6.9 in the 2 card rig, will investigate in the future..

i'm suspecting it maybe is throttling down due to heating of the VRMs...happend to one of my 390s back then, don't know if 1080 ti do this too...notice the power is ~240+ watts, that's heavy on the VRMs

edit: it still go down to ~3.7 in the 2 card rig..i think it is a card issue
Celeron? You may be CPU bound. Otherwise lower your power level to 70% or so.

socket 775 xeon x3220 rig where i found it, i have same rig with no issues and i have even a lesser q8400 without issue...currently it is in a phenom x6 1055t where the issue reoccurred (but not persistent as in the previous rig), lesser athon x3 don't have issues too..it is not a cpu triggered issue based from comparisons.

it works at ~6.9 now, after i restarted it and it is running for hours now, something triggered it to run at ~3.6..thinking of heat still(since it is in a cooler location now), will clean it and investigate thermal paste and pads in the future..

here is another weird shit hehe(different rig), a 1080ti card don't want to mine with other 2 1080ti i thought it is defective (replaced it with another card rig works), and then i let it mine as a single gpu on a separate rig and it worked  and i added another one (the ~3.6 one when issue appears)after i find it stable..so far they are stable mining as a 2 card rig..from what i observed in msi afterburner, although all cards are set at default and at 80 PL, that particular card clocks a little bit higher..

note: all cards are of the same brand and model.

f2pool has a 5 Grin minimum withdraw...

not an issue if I run 12x 1080ti's

but for now I am on spark pool with a single rtx 2070 mining to an email of my choice

and a bit lost

from spark pool

Notice: The Grin mining address is your email account. Format: email/rigid

(for example:123456@gmail.com/rig-1)

Please ensure the safety of your Email, you may lose your coins if your email being hacked, recommend you to turn on two-factor authentication in your email.

so how do I track the coins?
do I get  email notice?

okay found out I enter email on spark pool website.

scroll down, there is a "minerPage.tab.income" and there is a "minerPage.income.transaction" there, it is the reference tx id (amount and other info is also there).

i think sparkpool payout option is only choosing through an exchange deposit address, that is why it is binded through your email to verify the "binding process".

mine is a bitmesh binded deposit address.

so  if I setup 12x 1080ti  I would be around 82.8 + the 6 from the 2070 that is 88 or 89 gh.

what is that in grin a day

I have been doing the 2070 for 3 hours and got  0.02 so x 8 = 0.16 grin for 6 gh  x 15 = 2.4 grin x 13.50 =  32 a day hey that is really good.

Seems too good.

Does 90gh do 32 USD a day in grin?

1000 a month is pretty good if it is right and lasts.

here is a useful mining calculator

https://grin-pool.org/what-to-mine/

seems accurate..

Thanks for the answers.

My birthday is monday  I made a commitment to mine BCI until my birthday.

so  from sept 2018 to jan 27 2019

I mined  2600+ coins and purchased 2600+ coins

I think I have 3406 + 1170 + 654 + 92 = 5322 coins  most is staked weekly

So  I may move to grin next  Mine it till  June 14 2019  flag day.

Happy Birthday Phil - many happy returns.

Tested c29 at f2pool with 4 x 1080ti but soon abandoned this testing because power consumption can peak above 200w with this cuckcoo algo.

Would you know if it hits 200w even if PL is set lower? I get massive instability with my 7x 1080ti rigs at 70% PL and went back to another coin, which is 3x less profitable.

Wondering if it's unstable because it's exceeding my 1500w psu limit. I can never exceed 5.8gps with 7x 1080ti rigs too despite only 40% cpu usage (G4560), but a rig with only 3 does 6.3-6.4 easily at 70% PL.

do you have a better cpu like an i5

it looks to be worth  testing with an i5 cpu

okay here is another question about mining grin.

In my house I have 1 rig with an:
 amd 1800x cpu
1 rtx 2070

win 10

I also have a rig with
an:
amd 2700x cpu
1 sapphire rx 580 8gb

win 10

A rig with a thread ripper 1920
4 vega 56

win 10

I can not access the simple mining gear until monday or tues

so do i try the rig with the rtx 2070 on f2pool?

if so do I download win 10 software.

gminer  says it works for win 10 only cuda/nvidia
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5034735.0

using gminer on win 7 .. the latest v1.23 beats bminer in my opinion, observed the lower cpus like q8400 to more powerful like i7 3770, fx 6300 doesn't make much difference in G/s ..can hit ~6.9 G/s at 80 power limit (1080ti).

can run at 4GB system ram, and 30-40GB pagefile.

made my rigs from a 4 gpu rigs to a 3 gpu rigs, there was an issue that reduce hashrate in 4 or more cards in a rig like cutting almost half of the G/s. don't know if the issue was resolved but i'm sticking to 3 gpus per rig for now.

thinking that a 3 gpu rig is a sweet spot because any psu that goes beyond 1200w is priced heavily for the extra 300 or 400w, also using the biggest and baddest the 1080ti or 2080ti will not max out your psu and running them at 70% or 80% will run the psu at a good spot in the "efficiency curve" of the psu, most 1200w have 6 pcie connectors (you can connect 2 per card for cable/socket overloading protection), you can run your gpu at 100 PL if needed..
1315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8th Alt coin thread. Or what to do now that asics are all over the place. on: January 24, 2019, 09:06:40 AM

We need $400 eth + ProgPow to revive gpu mining.

I think the ProgPOW alone would be enough to revive GPU mining. The price right now sets break-even for people with 10 cent power costs which is the average. I remember when ETH temporarily was at $160 last week and the profits were already looking a little better.

If we get ProgPOW actually and soon then it would level the playing field with ASICs and we might see some decent profits again. And then if you HODL the ETH coins you might finish the year at a great profit level.

However the way that the ETH dev team takes their time with all the updates and delays, we might not see ProgPOW until the end of the year.

ETH AT 500 WOULD BE HELPFUL

Let it stay down another couple of months while I build my stack  Wink

I moved away from grin mining. 24 hours later, still no payouts (it takes 1 day to mature though), and price crashed 60%.

Wasted couple of hours, but at any time I can switch my 1080tis back to grin if needed.

for me..get/mine some grin...wait for big exchanges listing, that's where the action is

this works at spark pool, i only used the email address. the rest are default and blank

you will only have 1 worker, but the G/s will combine if you have multiple rigs.

gold mining may decrease or increase but unlike GRIN we know that it will decrease..

since there are many unexplored areas and still undiscovered technologies for gold mining, we don't know if we are sitting on top of undiscovered vast deposits of gold that will turn your gold investments into copper valuation, remember aluminium was once a precious metal.

I'm struggling to understand the compatibility of the MimbleWimble backbone + unlimited supply:

For a potential "everyday use" cryptocurrency that dominates the global economy, I think some rate of inflation/emission is 100% necessary.

But I don't think Grin is trying to be that with the way everything else is situated. The elimination of denominations and addresses makes this currency fundamentally difficult to interact with. I also think an inherently private coin would be incompatible with the role of worldwide day-to-day use.

I don't see any other situation for Grin or any crypto where unlimited supply is a good thing to have. What's the justification?

regarding being unlimited...

compare it to gold, technically you can claim gold is limited but thousands of years back and today we are still mining it, in the future we still are going to mine it, although limited it feels like it is unlimited. we may even mine it outside the earth in the future if we go inter stellar/inter planetary.

if we say that we will mine gold in the whole universe, or just say in our galaxy..what would we say? "that's unlimited"

well we haven't even explored the earth's crust or the earth's mantle and scour the ocean floors for gold mining.

1080ti from 5.x to 6.x  more like ~1.3 G/s increase whooohoo  Cheesy  can reach up to 7.x G/s on a high end rig (i7 cpu and stuff)

looks good, support windows 7 for grin mining.
