201  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: BTC Lighting Network on: March 18, 2024, 04:31:22 AM
I want to transfer my BTC from electrum wallet to Binance wallet through Lighting Network. Is it possible? If yes, How ?
Also if I transfer it back from Binance to my wallet, is it possible? How much binance charge fee?

Also is lighting network transaction traceable on blockchian ? If yes, link where i can trace it.

Lightning network transactions are not traceable on the blockchain. All the information necessary to prove a payment happened will be stored in your wallet. I am not too familiar with Electrum’s implementation of Lightning but I imagine it’s very similar to other wallets. There is an old guide published here by another member Electrum Lightning Network walkthrough. The image links are broken but you can still get the relevant information from the text alone.

To transfer to Binance you need to create an invoice on Binance for the amount you want to deposit. It would be possible to transfer back to your wallet by creating an invoice on Electrum. The fee you will be charged for withdrawing is only 100 satoshis.
202  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is entry into the signature campaign due to luck, achievement, or something else on: March 18, 2024, 04:11:20 AM
I won’t really question a campaign manager’s motives for accepting me. I’m just grateful for the opportunity. All of the reasons you mentioned probably play a factor to some degree. It just depends on the manager and the type of campaign they are running.

If they are looking for quality then merit alone can’t be why somebody is accepted. Many users are able to rank up quickly by “farming” merits in specific threads and older members have airdropped merits.

Sometimes it could even just be dumb luck. If you stumble across a new campaign right as they’ve just created the application thread and you meet all the criteria then there is a higher likelihood of being accepted.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your opinion on this on: March 18, 2024, 03:07:25 AM
If you search Google for a cached version of the Pepecoin profile on Binance Square, which is a curated newsfeed on Binance, it does show that they were offering an airdrop to people who tip them. However, the live version shows a 404 error. Maybe the Pepecoin team’s account was compromised or maybe Binance accidentally gave the profile to one of the other tokens also called Pepecoin and they turned out to be a scammer.
204  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 18, 2024, 01:24:59 AM
Guys, have you noticed that these days some of us can exchange our RPs for five tickets of WoF daily?

I don't know whether it concerns all users and for how long it will last, but since several days ago it's possible for me and I'm glad to do that exchange almost every day.

I think it might have something to do with wagering volume, measured in USD. Previously, I used to only be able to exchange for 1 WOF ticket now it is up to 3 for me. I have not been gambling more but the price of BTC has gone up so technically my bets are worth more now.

I don't know is it just for me or it's for everyone - yesterday I got 3 different email messages from Freebitco.in with free WoF spins. And same thing happened today. Previously it sometimes happened that they send 2 emails per day, but 3, I don't remember such thing. Quite cool to get some extra sats/RP's or tickets.

It is somewhat uncommon but I do receive 3 emails sometime. If I’m offered the 6 hour flash promo, it can sometimes be 4 in a day. Also, there is a deposit bonus which I’ve been offered twice that gave me an additional 3 emails for a total of 5 within 24 hours.
205  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bit.store card on: March 18, 2024, 12:21:22 AM
This service is definitely not reliable. They were doing a promotion for their new card BIN that supports Apple Pay so I applied for a new card. After I made my payment the card never appeared in my account. I only risked the minimum top up amount of $15 plus a $5 application fee so it is not a big loss but it's certainly a disappointing experience.
206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 17, 2024, 01:48:56 AM
They said this is a video of Manny Pacquiao shadow box in preparation for a Conor Benn fight?

https://twitter.com/boxingscene/status/1769063564768149545?s=20

Again, it's too early to say and for now it's still a rumor. But in boxing, we all know that if there is this kind of indication and there are noises around, it could be true though. But then again, everything should still be official, so as boxing fans, hope this is true as we want to see Manny again in the ring with a pro boxer and not just exhibition match to bring out the best in him and not holding back any power.

Pacquiao has been in attendance at these Saudi Arabia fights recently so I think there is genuine interest from matchmakers to see him back in the ring. Connor Benn, as long as he’s not eating “contaminated” eggs, is a perfectly suitable opponent for Pacquiao to make his comeback against and gauge what level he can still compete at.

Terence Crawford will eventually vacate or be stripped of his belts so Pacquiao might see this as an opportunity to make one last run at a championship. I don’t expect Pacquiao to fight a high risk, low reward fighter like Jaron Ennis but there are other boxers such as Mario Barrios and Giovani Santillan that he could fight for a vacant title if he beats Benn.
207  Economy / Economics / Re: Boycott of Chinese products and economic relations - when ? on: March 17, 2024, 01:16:14 AM
That's not gonna happen and what Chinese government is doing to Uygur Muslims is worst than the plight of Palestinians

This is an incredibly mentally unhinged thing to say. Israel is mercilessly slaughtering civilians, an overwhelming majority being women and children. How many bombs and chemical weapons has China dropped on Uyghurs?

The reason Muslim countries don’t boycott China is because the Uyghur genocide is a debunked hoax propagated cynically by the same war mongers in Washington D.C. who lied about WMDs in Iraq, which led to an invasion that resulted in over a million Muslim deaths. It’s completely perverse for the US government to be feigning concern for Uyghurs in China when they are actively assisting Israel ethnically cleanse Palestine.
208  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I have some testnet3 bitcoin in coinomi but can not withdraw on: March 16, 2024, 06:26:39 AM
There have been many complaints against Coinomi recently. The wallet is not fully functional and the project may have been abandoned.

I tried to recover a Coinomi testnet wallet in UniSat, but it required modifying the derivation path and it only generated the first address. It might be easier to restore it in Sparrow Wallet.

To recover your coins you can install Sparrow Wallet and go to Tools > Restart In Network > Testnet

Once you’ve relaunched in Testnet go to File > Import Wallet and then insert your backup phrase. Then click the “Discover Wallet” button to see if your coins are detected. I tested this and was able to generate the same addresses in both wallets.
209  Other / Meta / Re: Reasons of be inactive on: March 16, 2024, 04:59:22 AM
People have a life outside of the forum and may find it necessary to take a break for personal reasons. It’s not an obligation to continue posting once you’ve found another interest and the financial incentives are not enough to keep you motivated to stay. It is natural for people to come and go over the years.

There are also some campaign that encourage a high activity count. For users trying to maximize their earnings it can lead to feeling burned out if they are only posting to meet a quota and they will want to take a break from that.

If you have any reason for wanting to be less active, the ending of a campaign might feel like the right time to take that opportunity.
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 16, 2024, 01:28:00 AM
UFC superstars have better contracts now especially to demanding fighters. But still far from boxers' PPV revenue share and their purse guarantees. But maybe boxing superstars are overpaid or their purse guarantees are just too high which is why networks like HBO and Showtime left.

Purse inflation has certainly been detrimental to the sport of boxing. Fighters are less active than ever and less willing to take risks. It is why Canelo is fighting Munguia instead of Benavidez. Why face a bigger and more dangerous fighter when you can still make tens of millions against an inferior opponent. Let’s keep in mind that to even agree to fight Munguia was a difficult ordeal because Canelo’s preference was the less active and presumably easier Jermall Charlo. Fighters like Gervonta Davis have taken cherry picking to an even more extreme level by entirely avoiding any credible threat and trying to gaslight the public into believing his secondary titles are meaningful accomplishments.
211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Michael Saylor and MicroStrategy sell BTC? on: March 16, 2024, 12:32:20 AM
The success of the MicroStrategy stock is heavily dependent on Bitcoin performing well. Their holdings are large enough that if they decided to start cashing out it could have a significant impact on Bitcoin’s price which would also negatively affect their stock. MicroStrategy has made a bet on Bitcoin and if they were to sell it would be a signal that they have begun to lose faith in it.

The diamond hands approach is at this point their best strategy. If investors are anxious about losing out on profits then perhaps they should sell their own shares which have been pumped because of Bitcoin, rather than expecting MicroStrategy to sell their BTC holdings.
212  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Operation of Bitcoin Fog Mixer, convicted for laundering $400 Million on: March 15, 2024, 04:14:43 AM
I have only 1 comment on such criminal cases: “Blockchain is the worst place for crimes, because all traces of transactions are protected” (C)
In the United States, there are no statutes of limitations for such crimes, and blockchain analysis technologies are becoming more advanced every year.

Blockchain analysis isn’t an exact science. There will be many false positives if you just rely on heuristics. Just from looking at basic analysis tools which are publicly accessible I often find many mistakes and incomplete data. Premium tools like Chainalysis Reactor might be more reliable but they are not infallible. Even Coinbase admits that it is more of an art than science.

I don’t know the full details of this case but from what I have read there was not enough evidence to assert that Sterlingov was actually running Bitcoin Fog. The accusation against him is based in part on BTC withdrawn from his Mt. Gox account which eventually made its way through a series of transactions to a domain purchase for a website which gave users instructions on how to access Bitcoin Fog. This is hardly a smoking gun. There might have been some loose affiliation or Sterlingov might have transacted with an affiliate of theirs, blockchain data doesn’t provide a definitive answer.

No matter how inconclusive the data may be, the state only cares about destroying our right to privacy and is willing to go to great lengths to accomplish this. Sterlingov is the most recent example but who knows what their next target will be. Any one of us can be locked away if enough pseudoscience is able to find some indirect link to a service they see as unfavorable.
213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 Years ago people laughed at me bcz of THIS on: March 15, 2024, 01:41:23 AM
An economic downturn would of course be beneficial to whales because being well off means they are in a better position to increase the size of their holdings when everybody else is looking to sell to try and make ends meet. This doesn’t prove that the pandemic was created specifically so people could acquire cheap Bitcoin. That was just a side effect caused by uncertainty about the economy. In a capitalist system where the wealthy hold the most power, it is natural that they would see the greatest benefit in most situations because that’s how they’ve designed it to work.
214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 15, 2024, 01:20:58 AM
I saw this fight,

https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/109506-valdez-vs-wilson

Specially Oscar Valdez vs Liam Wilson, although Wilson is 3:1 underdog in this fight, but I think this is going to be a war. Both fighters are bangers and doesn't hold up anything. I think this is going to be a war. Both are on a comeback trail and they know that their careers are on the line and whoever losses this fight might have to take a break in my opinion. Valdez is coming from a lost to Emmanuel Navarette, both of them actually lost to the champion.

Wilson was also underestimated when he faced Emanuel Navarrete but he almost pulled off the upset. If the referee hadn’t given Navarrete extra time to recover after he was knocked down the fight could’ve had a different result. Once again Wilson has been handpicked to try and make the A-side fighter look good. With the amount of wear and tear on Valdez it might turn out to be a more difficult fight than expected.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reddit has invested in crypto: the beginning of a new crypto wave? on: March 14, 2024, 05:23:39 AM
I doubt Reddit will create its own crypto/token since they are just a forum where the crypto community participates enthusiastically. Reddit is not a crypto company even though they have their own NFTs. I just hope that Reddit will become an example for private companies to boldly accept and invest in crypto, especially BTC, to increase buying pressure in the market, while helping BTC become more widely accepted. I would not be surprised if in the near future we will know more companies that have been allocating a portion of their reserve assets to crypto.

Reddit experimented with a special Community Points feature that allowed subreddits like r/Cryptocurrency to have their own token called Moons. These tokens could be stored in your vault that also holds your profile avatar NFTs. Reddit decided to remove the feature and the Moon token lost most of its value. One of the reasons why the feature wasn’t popular might be because it led to an increase in spam from people who were engagement farming to earn more tokens rather than making organic contributions.
216  Other / Archival / Re: Are investors investing in Bitcoin at ATH now are fools ? on: March 14, 2024, 05:11:08 AM
People who invest at such a high price are not foolish unless they are going all in without considering that there might be a big correction. Intelligent investors will only use a small portion of their available funds and wait for a dip before they put a more significant amount of money into their investment. Bitcoin has been more volatile recently so it doesn’t hurt to have some buy orders at lower prices so you can get the most value out of your money.
217  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 14, 2024, 04:24:49 AM

I forgot there was people earning less than the standard base amount if they haven’t wagered enough or made a deposit. They will have to come up with a solution really soon because the people with reduced rewards are about to hit the threshold of earning less than 1 satoshi per roll.

The solution should be pretty simple actually. Just reduce the claim intervals to like twice a day or every 6 hours.

The problem I see with this is that if they increase the interval they would also have to increase the prizes to compensate for fewer possible rolls per day and this would just make multi-accounting more rampant. Up to $400 per 2 hours, or $600 per 3 hours, is a lot more attractive to cheaters compared to $200 per 1 hour. They could choose not to adjust the higher rewards but this would make users very unhappy and would be a worse alternative than just increasing decimal places so that they can maintain hourly rolls.
218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: March 13, 2024, 07:04:00 AM
But not as impressive against boxers who are trying to challenge themselves by aiming to become a pound-for-pound champion. At this stage, Haney and Lopez are considered better than Loma. It's just that Loma gained popularity first because he is an exciting boxer, but not much has happened in his career. He became a champion, but it seems he will stay within his limits, so we can't compare him to champions who are risk takers.

As for the latest pound for pound ranking, he is not anymore at the top 10.

https://www.espn.ph/boxing/story/_/id/39192661/boxing-pound-pound-rankings-naoya-inoue-dmitry-bivol-jesse-rodriguez-pick-votes

Not everybody has to have a career like Pacquiao or Mayweather to be considered an all time great. Lomachenko is more than just an exciting boxer, he has an impressive résumé to back up his legacy. Every single one of Lomachenko’s opponents from his debut has either been a highly rated contender or a world champion. The only other fighter I can think of who has followed a similar path is Naoya Inoue, but even Inoue fought somebody with a losing record in his second fight.

A pound for pound list doesn’t tell the entire story. ESPN and The Ring have Tank Davis in their top 10. The Ring also has Errol Spence on theirs. These are fighters who could only ever dream of having the career Loma has had, because there is a 0% chance they will even come close to Loma’s accomplishments.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which of the Wallet is the Best For Ethereum? on: March 13, 2024, 06:34:04 AM
You might not find many wallets like Electrum in the sense that they are for 1 coin only because there are so many EVM compatible networks. An Ethereum wallet can also function as a wallet for BNB Smart Chain, Polygon, etc. It is not much of an issue because they have nearly identical functionality so supporting additional EVM blockchains is trivial.

Metamask is probably the wallet which you will see recommended the most. It is the wallet that is most compatible with web3 apps. For additional security you might want to use a hardware wallet in conjunction with Metamask.

I have a family member that created an account to receive some small payments in BTC but the free rolls are totally not worth it with just 1 sat per hour.

I forgot there was people earning less than the standard base amount if they haven’t wagered enough or made a deposit. They will have to come up with a solution really soon because the people with reduced rewards are about to hit the threshold of earning less than 1 satoshi per roll.

There is something wrong with the leadership and members of this platform. The Quin was online less than an hour ago, did not respond to any of the complaints or my messages. No problems at all, I will now go ahead to create a scam accusation. This is a shitty way to run business, I've waited over 6 months, they do not seem to have the intention to even look into my complaint not to talk of resolving it. I will create a scam accusation thread and I hope I get a quicker solution.

Creating a formal accusation is usually the quickest way to resolve these sort of issues when everything else has failed. I don’t know how much contact their campaign manager has with the team but in the past he has been helpful in helping people recover their funds when there was an accusation brought up against a casino that had hired him.
