I don’t think discriminating people based on nationality is a good idea. This kind of attitude promotes xenophobia. I am glad the CEO of Kraken took a stand and said they wouldn’t ban Russian users from their platform and also said Americans would have to be banned if they applied the same standard.
1042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I the only one who loves BTC but hates the Metaverse idea and the NFTs? on: February 10, 2022, 07:25:15 AM
It's annoying that there is so much attention on NFT's and people who are uneducated about crypto automatically associate them with Bitcoin. People see millions of dollars being thrown around at some hideous monkey pictures and assume that anything having to do with cryptocurrency is scammy. I don't have the same visceral hatred towards NFTs as some other people, but I think the trend has gotten way out of hand and it would make me happy to see it come crashing down to some reasonable levels. I would rather see the money being put into NFTs be invested in something more worthwhile.
1043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think BSC token with rewards in BNB are sustainable in the long term? on: February 05, 2022, 09:49:46 AM
There are a few Safemoon clones I’ve seen which offer rewards in BNB. They have a transfer tax which basically makes them a pump and dump. There are some more serious coins but the rates are only high at the beginning, like a lot of DeFi projects.

Why do people have a need to connect themselves to a show or anything popular? I mean it is games, and we can play games and we could win something from playing those games, why do we need to connect the name to a netflix show? Can't we do an original one? Name it "first of annual biswap games!" or something and people would still play there, at the end of the day people care about how much they will win and not what they are going to win.
I support this proposal!  A lot of people hate netflix and being associated with this company can negatively affect your marketing strategy and promotion of your new games and contests.  For example, when I hear or see netflix, I immediately spit, I understand that this is something serial and second-rate, with a nasty smell, so to speak, and bypass any of their products.  So yes, don't use this label also because I think there are more people in the world who don't like netflix than those who love and respect it.

Netflix is one of the most visited websites and one of the most downloaded apps in the world. Squid Game was their most popular show ever with billions of hours in watch time. There is no reason to change their marketing strategy because a tiny amount of people care enough to be offended by this.

It is not really about the amount you save, at the end of the day it is the same amount when you do it sparingly or whenever you get it. I mean imagine this, you get let's say 10 tickets per day, what is the difference between doing 10 a day, versus doing 100 after waiting 10 days? It is still the same 100 tickets and you are not saving them up to grow in numbers due to interest or something.

Not like you are getting extra when you wait up, it is the same. So, 24 or 200 doesn't matter, the results are the same, one does it daily or weekly, while other waits even longer. That is how this one works and I do not think that anyone will get a huge reward that frequently, it is a very rare sight as it should be based on the odds as well.

If you want to maximize your earnings then it does make a significant difference to wait until a bear market to redeem those spins. At the beginning of the year the base reward was more than 20% lower than it is right now. Saving up those spins is a wise choice because it means you have an opportunity to get some extra sats and RPs.

I believe the same now that I have seen how the SHIB price has gone really low.I bought like 15.500.000 SHIB with about 900 USD and I thought since in crypto 1 cent is nothing if this coin goes to 1 cent I get 155.000 USD and that is one hack of investment.

I was soon disappointed though when I saw how this is going, nevertheless hope die last they say so I am waiting.

15.5 million SHIB is still nearly $600 so your investment has only lost a third of it’s value during a bear market. Based on the price you bought I’m guessing you bought in early November. By comparison FUN has lost half it’s value in the same period and BTC is down only 20%.

I just don’t see where all this optimism with regards to FUN is coming from. There is nothing aside from blind faith to indicate it will perform well in the future. It can’t even outperform memecoins and their quarterly burn was for an insignificant amount which is evidence of low adoption.

That's absolutely correct. Although the price of FUN token has fallen more than 50% it is still a valuable coin to hold.
I have put all my 2500 coins to the 365 days lock in period and it's quite thrilling to see what the price of FUN will be after a year.
I just hope it pumps up and crosses 50 - 75 sats per coin but even it doesn't I won't be sad for it because of the premium benefits I would have availed by then.
It is a solid token and will have more sustainable price when we have to face with bear market. You can love SHIBA and many meme coins but they won't perform good in bear market.

If you see a token has 100, 1000x growth, and if you participate in, you might be rekted in any day by any bad news. FUN does not have such growth so if in bad days, bad period of market, it won't be divided 10 or 100 times. It safer and we have better chance to see its growth.

Shiba might be volatile but that doesn’t mean it is worse than FUN. In it’s short existence it’s already developed it’s own DeFi ecosystem, launched an NFT collection, and is working on a new layer 2 solution. From an investment perspective Shiba is looking much stronger than FUN. FUN is only useful on a centralized platform and I have my doubts whether it can gain mass adoption as a gambling token.
1049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning interest on bitcoin without giving up your keys on: December 23, 2021, 05:39:11 PM
I have never heard of Atomic Financial. There are some altcoin projects where you can stake wrapped BTC, but these options are not entirely safe since you have to give them approval to spend your money, and whoever controls the smart contract is able to drain everything from your wallet.
1050  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Can't NFTs work on Bitcoin? on: December 19, 2021, 04:50:38 AM
NFTs already existed in Bitcoin well before they became such a popular trend. Rare Pepes are probably the most well-known one. Bitcoin NFTs never had as much hype and marketing as other blockchains and the Counterparty protocol didn't have much development along with the high fee issues never allowed NFTs to gain significant traction on Bitcoin.

Actually FUN is one of the most useful altcoins I've found so far. The premium benefits totally worth the investment for bitcoin holders and considering how cheap they are, it's even more interesting than tokens which offer similar benefits for investors such as Crypto.com, Nexo and Celsius ones.

A VIP program where you earn a few cents per day isn’t much of a use.

^Those metaverse or NFT or memecoin type of shitcoins started to gain a lot more attention because they have a "utility" but at what point people will say that it is not really enough and not used a lot. Like yeah I got a "plot of land" with it lets say, how the hell do you really imagine that it would keep being valuable forever? These type of utility tokens that doesn't really have that much of a utility will end up being in the ditch with all the other shitcoins that died. Same can't be said about fun token, fun token is the token for here and it will always have a proper reason to be bought, it has a long term reason to be hold as well and that is the main reason why I trust it and bought it and hodling it.

FUN is barely staying in the top 400 on CoinMarketCap and it’s trading volume is not much at all. It might not be dead in a ditch but it is on life support. There is not much difference between this shitcoin and all the other gambling shitcoins which paid much better dividends and made big promises until they eventually became irrelevant and forgotten.

The tokens that do well ...are the tokens with utility ..and having only 2 or 3 casinos accepting FUN as a deposit option ..does not really help it's cause. It is a bonus that it is still listed, but it needs a lot of trading volume to stay on there.  Roll Eyes

Also, we know all Alt coins take a knock when the Bitcoin price goes down... so it does not come as a huge surprise that the FUN token will also take a knock ...seeing that the Bitcoin price has dropped this much.  Wink

FUN is lagging well behind most of the market. All the hype is with NFT, play-to-earn, and metaverse projects right now. Those are areas worth exploring for the FUN developers if they want to add some more utility to the token.

I know the odds were changed a while ago but now it appears the reward amount is also reduced. The base reward should be 41 sats based on the price of BTC but it is 40 sats instead.

What exchange are you using for the BTCUSD price?

I’m going by the same exchange rate used for the faucet. If I remember correctly, the base WOF prize was 2 cents worth of BTC rounded down to the nearest sat. Now it’s 2 cents in BTC rounded down and then another sat is subtracted. The difference is negligible but I still found this change kind of odd.

Did the wheel of fortune prizes get reduced? It seems like the rewards are 1, 10 and 100 sats/rp/lt lower than what they should be based on how they were previously calculated.

The higher prize odds remained the same but getting a Satoshi prize or equal value of RP or Lottery in the thousands is much rarer now, hundreds I sometimes get but yep most often it will be the base prize so that much has changed.   It was because price has more then doubled in the last year since Wheel spins were launched and its very possible it can keep rising as such a pace over longer term.    I would only be doing 1 spin a day if I dint think BTC rose over some years anyhow.

I know the odds were changed a while ago but now it appears the reward amount is also reduced. The base reward should be 41 sats based on the price of BTC but it is 40 sats instead.

1056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gervonta Davis vs. Isaac Cruz - December 5 on: December 06, 2021, 04:06:30 PM
Much like Devin Hany, Tank Davis failed to impress. I would rather see Loma get the opportunity to fight Kambosos next since he is the only one who has really put in the work and is always challenging the best available fighters.

Out of Davis against any of the top lightweights would be great. I could see him potentially losing to Haney and Garcia but I can also see him knocking them out. None of them really stands out from the rest. It's time for Floyd to take off Tank's training wheels and put him in a fight where he isn't so heavily favored.

Hi,
As per the FUN promise I deposited FUN worth 5000.
Now when I tried to withdraw they need  2817 as fees.
what kind of joke is this ?

Thanks for the warning though, as I had initially thought of depositing 10000 more FUN.

But they will snatch completely away , when you try to withdraw,

Let me know , if you have any explanation

Gas fees are really high for erc20 transfers. They've been saying that XFUN would be integrated soon for the last few months, but nothing has come of that so far. They are supposed to be launching a new XFUN casino by the end of the year but their timelines are not reliable at all. It is impossible to predict when they will launch the token with lower fees.
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PancakeSwap on: December 01, 2021, 06:24:59 PM
what are you talking about? the fees on bsc are still extremely cheap something like .13 to send or interact with a contract. If you're talking about the liquiditiy provider fees then those can fluctuate a bit but not much. but that is the price you pay for security and not having to send your coins to a cex.

Fees have not been $0.13 for contract interactions in a long time. If you are trading on a DEX it can be close to $1. If you are staking on a DEX it is over $1. The most I've paid recently was over $3 for doing transactions on Alpaca Finance.

I guess withdrawals to Taproot addresses is not supported yet. I tried to make a withdrawal and my address was accepted and I was given a block explorer link but then the transaction was cancelled a few hours later and I got an email saying the address was invalid.
1060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Lopez vs Kambosos - November 27 on: November 28, 2021, 05:11:51 AM
Kambosos fought a great fight but it was the mistakes of Lopez that were the determining factor. Lopez came out trying to go for the first-round knockout and tired himself out early. Teofimo needs to change weight class and also get a new trainer who isn't just there to feed his ego.
