...
It is allowed from our side  Wink But the question is whether it's worth it for 1 week, it's more for website/blog owners.
Who already have many website visitors and advertise Coinomize in the long run.
...

You never know, there's always a chance some whale will use our ref link, so could be worth it Smiley
It also provides an extra incentive to keep posting after hitting max 25 posts or to wear the signature even after the campaign ends.

But will this campaign go only for 1 week?

All of you guys are officially accepted into Coinomize Signature campaign.
...

Thanks julerz12.

Quick one - are we allowed to put referral links in our signatures?

@Royse777 - I accepted a spot in another campaign since they offered me a full-paid Legendary position, whereas here I was on a Senior pay-rate.

But thanks again for the opportunity and you can now release my spot.

Merit earned in the last 120 days: 14 (that was earned only in the last 3 weeks as I was inactive for a while).

I was previously accepted to the YoMix campaign which was meant to be managed by you but that didn't happen, so would be great to be accepted to this one (as I only managed to get the Senior spot in the campaign I'm currently enrolled in).

However, if you have contacted their representative named: DuckDice.io, there is no solution and vice versa, maybe we can't help you much, ...

I wouldn't be so pessimistic. Looking at some of the feedback in the trust summary of DuckDice.io it sounds like the community pressure paid off a few times.

OP - you should exhaust all available contact options first, i.e. send PM to DuckDice.io and post in their thread. If no luck, open a Scam Accusation as advised above.
2006  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: January 15, 2023, 02:16:44 PM
Strategies are just the calculated outcome...

Not really? Are you just playing around with changing definitions?
Strategy - a plan of action designed to achieve a long-term or overall aim.
e.g. Martingale is one of the most popular betting strategies but doesn't have much to do with calculating outcomes.

...
In such situation I'll go with the minimum bet value for the maximum outcome, ...

So if in the set-out scenario there's no defined minimum bet, would you just bet 1 satoshi hoping to earn 11 sats? Why even bother?

...
because few people in the world have that ability to spare money, ...

You're exaggerating a bit. No one in the developed world would go bankrupt or starve if they happened to lose $50 or $100. It could cause some inconvenience but everyone could manage. That's probably also true even for poor countries.

Average people tend to spend beyond their means (i.e. getting expensive cars on finance, buying low-nutrition junk food, paying for subscriptions they don't use etc), but that's a different story.
2007  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] | Best Bitcoin Mixer | Low fees | Fully automated on: January 15, 2023, 01:46:09 PM
...
Yomix max 3 days for delay transfer which I think is good for privacy, but how affect it with Service fee?. because when I try to maximum service fee mixing level increase to max, I don't know what is the connection between Transfer delay and service fee, if very crucial what is the better setting?. is we have to max?, like delay for 3 days and fee for 5%?

To be honest, I'm not quite sure how the service fee affects the mixing level. If you click "boost" to get the mixing level to the max, changing the fee on the slide bar doesn't seem to have any effect at all. Whereas changing it on the default starting Mixer page increases/decreases the level of mixing.

I've submitted a contact form on the FAQ page asking YoMix to add an explanation regarding service fees in case this thread is not actively monitored.
2008  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] | Best Bitcoin Mixer | Low fees | Fully automated on: January 14, 2023, 11:32:31 PM
4. Yes. The greater the delay, the greater the layer of privacy. It'd probably be worth it to put that in FAQs as well.
Am still having difficulty in understanding how this is an advantage.
...

It's actually simple. Imagine you want to mix say 7.2344 bitcoin. When you do that instantly, the same (or very similar) amount will appear in your other address. So even though there's no direct link between those 2 addresses, anyone analysing blockchain transactions in that period could assume that there could be a connection between the address that just sent out 7.2344 btc and the address that received the same amount a moment later.
So although they won't have any solid proof of that 2 addresses being linked, it would be hard to believe that those 2 transactions with the same, unusual amount are just a coincidence.

The more time passes, the harder it will be to make such connection. And, in this case, it'd be even better to split it between multiple receiving addresses.

So I wouldn't necessarily bother with setting any time delays for commonly occurring amounts such as 0.001 or 0.01 etc. but it's probably useful for any larger or less-common quantities.

It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of potentially winning big, ...

That's true but I bet that what really puts people in trouble is the desire to "win back" what they lost. Usually happens when losing more than you're comfortable with. That's some weird psychological reaction that can switch you to a "degenerate" mode.

...
It's always best to consult with a financial advisor and/or professional help if you have any concerns about your gambling habits.

You got carried away a bit here lad. Financial advisers will not be much of a help for gambling problems.
2010  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is there restriction in purchase of bitcoin? on: January 14, 2023, 10:53:07 PM
Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies has a limit of their total volume supply in the market. Like bitcoin, according to Bitcoin Supply - YCharts is at current level of 19.26million total bitcoin supply.

I’m inquisitive to know if there’s any possibility that a person can’t purchase bitcoin anywhere because all the people holding the total supply of bitcoin are not willing to sell but hold them, maybe for some reasons known to them or possible pump they’re expecting before selling it.

For that to happen, it would have to be poorly distributed among only a handful of holders, because they'd have to agree with each other to hold and not to sell until a certain price point is reached (or not sell at all).

But if it ever gets to the point that there are only a small number of holders - that would mean that there was no demand and people, in general, decided to get rid of their bitcoins, meaning the price would rather be at very low levels. Plus, as mentioned above, if there's no active market - there's no value. And if people can't buy it, they'll shift their interest to something else.

What we will see though, are situations where demand exceeds supply forcing the price up. So you'll most likely always be able to buy 'some' bitcoins but not necessarily at the desired price.

2011  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Crypto should be banned or soon to be. on: January 14, 2023, 02:07:53 PM
Nice rant OP, but can you be a bit clearer on what you mean specifically? Have you fallen a victim to the fake Ian Coleman Bip 39 generator scam, discussed here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5425314.0

Bitcoin is and never was a safe space. If you don't like the risk just stick to regulated centralised exchanges with client deposits insurance (they won't be insured with FDIC or FSCS though afaik).

And yes, we've been hearing about the crypto being banned "soon" since the beginning. Still waiting...
2012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: huge difference in the price of BTCST on different exchanges on: January 14, 2023, 01:54:14 PM
Hi everyone,

Why is the price of BTC on poloniex around $12 but on other exchanges it is $0.89?

Thanks

"BTCST has undergone a 1:10 token redenomination on March 15th 2021 following the STP-4 Proposal. For more information: please refer to https://btcst.medium.com/btcst-to-implement-results-of-stp-4-1-10-redenomination-the-week-of-march-15-872c9ea3d5b7"
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/btc-standard-hashrate-token/markets/

So its possible that one exchange already switched to new tokens at a rate 1:10. So the spread is 8.9$ to 12$ not 89 cents to 12$. So much lower but still a lot which can be caused by locked withdrawals on one of exchanges.

Could be it, but it could also likely be a result of an extremely low volume. According to CMC, the daily volume on Poloniex is a whopping $20.63, meaning anyone can manipulate the price anywhere they want at almost no cost at all.

Anyhow, this belongs to Altcoin discussion.
2013  Local / Polski / Re: Pospekulujmy o aktualnej i przyszłej cenie BTC. on: January 14, 2023, 01:32:23 PM

2014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: January 14, 2023, 01:12:04 PM

Indeed, it's a different thing for different people. For me personally it's around the amount of money I can earn in one day. Yes, it is still painful, losing the money you were working for for the whole day, but it's acceptable, it's not the end of the world, you know.

But that's about the money I can afford to lose without bad consequences. Talking about the money that I can easily afford to lose, than it's about a quarter of what I make per day, and that's what I would bet on the single die roll, you are asking in the OP.

That's a sensible approach that can work for you but is not universal. Obviously, for someone with a low income and a tight budget, who struggles to pay the bills (aka half of the UK right now after massive electricity rates hikes lol), a daily pay (or even just 25% of it) is probably too much.

Personally, for the sake of regular gambling, I'd define the "amount I can afford to lose" as excess (or leftover) money at the end of the month, after paying all bills and usual living expenses and also after making a regular contributions to saving/investment accounts.

But that definition and my risk tolerance would change for things like say investment opportunities with lower risk and positive expected returns. In such case I'd be potentially willing to risk any amount that won't cause a massive disruption to my life.

I don't use yet but I will do it asap when I got the salary.

I have the question?

1. Can I use YoMix with VPN on clearnet browser?.
2. what is Mixing code?, Can I mix without use the code?

[snip]

3. I've used mixer, I usually did on chipmixer, I don't know how possible if Yomix any feature we can use for free without a fee like chipmixer?

4. is transfer delay will affect our anonymity? the longer the delay, the more anonym we can get?.

1. Can't see why not.
2. Explained in FAQs:
Quote
After first mixing at [banned mixer] you will receive a unique code. With help of this code, we guarantee that you will never receive your own coins from previous transactions. Simply use this code for all your future mixing orders.
3. Mixing comes at a cost. There must be some fees, otherwise the business is not viable. If you ever see a mixing service that it's 100% free - steer clear, they're probably will take your coins or are some sort of honey pot. Maybe with exception of some promotional periods etc.
4. Yes. The greater the delay, the greater the layer of privacy. It'd probably be worth it to put that in FAQs as well.

UPDATE 12 Jan 2023

Finally Kroll made it possible to file a claim form electronically. Direct link to online file claim: https://restructuring.ra.kroll.com/blockfi/EPOC-Index

Looking at the form, it looks like it's possible to use it to amend any previously filed hardcopy forms, which could be good if you want to correct any errors or update the claim value (i.e. to reflect the ongoing Bitcoin price upward movement).

There are quite a few entities listed in "Debtor selection" section, but I reckon, for the regular users this would be:
  • BlockFi Inc. (Case No. 22-19361) - for US residents
  • BlockFi International Ltd. (Case No. 22-19368) - for non-US residents

This is based on BlockFi T&Cs:

https://blockfi.com/terms

Quote
In the Terms, users of this Online Platform and holders of BlockFi Accounts, including owners, employees, agents and affiliates of any business, corporation, partnership or other entity that is a user, borrower or investor, are sometimes referred to in the Terms as “you” or “your.” The applicable operator of the Online Platform, BlockFi, Inc., a Delaware corporation, if you are a resident in the United States of America or a partnership or corporation organized or incorporated under the laws of the United States of America (“US client”) and BlockFi International Ltd., a Bermuda exempted company which holds a Class F (full) license from the Bermuda Monetary Authority to conduct digital assets business, if you are a resident outside of the United States of America or a partnership or corporation that is not organized or incorporated under the laws of the United States of America (“Non-US client”) is referred toas “BlockFi,” “we,” “us” or “our” in the Terms. Together, you and we may be collectively referred to as “Parties.”
