2041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How future applications would be !? on: March 19, 2021, 10:06:45 AM
What do you think about the future? What do you think about the most successful blockchain applications? What ideas might be formed?
How is it possible to make entertainment - social application with help of blockchain? i need some example.
There are more than 100+ applications that would go off in the future but I do think that for me the most important would be :
The usage of blockchain in the governmental sector.
Which would mean that :
All the transactions would become transparent , they would not be able to hide it from the public, ofc they are the ones who ask to do KYC right ? They would also have to do it and therefore the corruption might dissolve slowly and finally we might have a Corruption free society for real and that would be one step closer towards a better future for everyone. I do believe that corruption in the root of all evil in the governmental society and therefore the public would be at peace with each other and we can finally see some improvement......

The Transparency will really reduce corruption, but I suspect the crafty ones would begin to change the meaning of corruption and decieve people they control into accepting them as good, then corruption/evil would become open and acceptable. This is where Immutablity will play an important role.. . every past changes/records have to be preserved and easily accessible to the public.  Maybe they will use fear tactics to prevent people from going through the past records, in this case anonymity becomes also important for people who will be looking for truths.
2042  Economy / Economics / Re: New Concept on: March 19, 2021, 09:22:05 AM
Better the businesses exist as Decentralized Applications on Cryptocurrency Networks, and create their own tokens for such things.
A cryptocurrency should be the currency of Decentralized Network/System, more like how fiat currencies are to Nations.
2043  Other / Off-topic / Re: How is Anonymity seen in your culture? on: March 19, 2021, 09:02:25 AM
...
you are a devout person, I like that...
your sentence makes me remember 'Matthew 6: 3: But if you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right-hand does'. if you want to get recognition from others surely you will let others know how much your alms. *anonymity is important for those who are devout Christians

Ofcourse.
But our activities don't have to be in secret because we are required to do what is good and good deeds ought to be done in the open. The only thing we or the church could try to keep secret is the the person doing do good deeds, so that the Glory goes to GOD alone and not mere mortals like us.
2044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin anonymous? on: March 18, 2021, 04:18:12 PM
I think the right question concerning Bitcoin anonymity should be, can Bitcoin users be anonymous?  Ofcourse they can. Anonymity is meant for people(or maybe living things?), by the way, not really Bitcoin. So people who run full nodes are anonymous by default. That's is basically part of Bitcoin feature.
2045  Economy / Economics / Re: Your economic competitor is at the other side of the globe on: March 18, 2021, 03:43:40 PM
It is true that economic competition occurs all over the world, not just between nearby countries. Therefore, to become a winning country,
the young generation must be given the right education. Most third world country education lacks practice and only focuses on theory.
Therefore, third world countries must change their education system, by imitating developed countries. In my opinion, a country that is
successful with its young generation must be able to have good economic and technological knowledge. Because these two factors can make
a difference, if a country is superior in the economic and technological sectors,  I am sure that the welfare of its citizens is more secure.

That is what is called the purpose of education in general. but we cannot forget developed countries and developing countries as one of the things that makes this look different. Copying other countries in terms of science, technology and science is very important. but not to the point of eliminating the identity and distinctiveness of being a citizen himself. not necessarily all imitate, all cultural and social aspects are characteristic because all countries have different cultural values based on their geographic location.

Ofcourse. That's one of the problems I had observed about developments amongst people with different cultures, weather, environments etc. I believe people/society should develop along the line of their strengths rather than trying to be like other people/countries. However, every culture or society has to stick to or revolve around the Biblical Golden Commandments of "Love the CREATOR(GOD) and people" while developing.   That should guide us to develop in the right direction.
2046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking is not for Muslims on: March 18, 2021, 03:07:33 PM
Staking in crypto is like interest in Fiat.
You lend (stake) your crypto and get reward (interest) for it.
I suggest all my Muslim brother to stay away from this new kind usury.

I thought only lending money to people for interest isn't permitted by Islam?

Wonder what Muslims think about "Holding" to earn from increase in price of coin in the future. That feels more moral than typical staking.
2047  Other / Off-topic / Re: philosophy of life on: March 18, 2021, 02:47:13 PM
Everyone at their own level of understanding, this is normal.
For one - life is just eating, sleeping, copulating. And the other person understands life much deeper. But he will not be able to explain this to someone who has not yet reached his level.

It's impossible to understand life and its purpose by ourselves. It's the CREATOR of Heaven and Earth that gives understanding, and everything HE tells you/us about life can be trusted 100% unlike what humans who are under the influence of the evil/deceptive force that controls the world teach or tell you.

Listen to the audiobook Bible below to have better idea of the purpose of life and why the world was created by our CREATOR. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EiXQmeuHTOY&list=PLIxhnx0kb33ORn8RQgHH54rdJMmqaRfmd&index=1

2048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Scams in Google and Apple App Stores on: March 18, 2021, 10:47:38 AM
Before using any cryptocurrency wallet, it's mandatory to verify its authenticity and status.

On Feb. 24, an app called “Trezor” was quietly uploaded to the Apple App Store. It appeared to be a crypto app from the popular bitcoin hardware wallet, it linked to the legitimate trezor.io website and privacy policy.
The developers labelled it “Data Not Collected” with Apple’s “nutrition labels,” which are meant to let users of the app store easily identify what information apps will gather about them and make decisions accordingly.

The app was leveraging the Trezor brand to execute one goal – steal users’ Trezor passphrases and private keys via phishing

The app was small and simple, consisting of three screens, but did nothing other than steal your Trezor passphrase or seed phrase.

Be careful of what you download on Google and Apple app store they ate not safe anymore.

I wonder what the "Nutrition Labels" show that are being collected by the app, or is it "Data Not Collected”.   And how are such apps able to pass through app security check to list on established stores. No verification done?
2049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake bets on: March 18, 2021, 09:56:29 AM
.

I'm curious to hear what the Bitcointalk community thinks about this topic;
Casinos using fake bets to attract new players.
I was surprised to learn that the vast majority of videos and streams on Roobet.com are actually fake.
Here are a couple of examples of different deal formats that casinos are making with the influencers:

A)..  ..

B) Infinite refills; The casino makes an agreement with the streamer. Let's say they want to pay the streamer $50,000 for a sponsorship contract. They start giving the streamer endless $1000 refills, which the streamer is supposed to gamble with. They will repeat this process until they "win" $50,000. The streamer will pretend to be shocked and highlight this big win in all of their social media channels. However, the truth is that there were zero risks involved for the streamer, and the final outcome was already known -- It was just a matter of time.

What do you think?

Stopped at B and I think it's the most interesting one for me so far .
I see number problems with such method of marketing. I will just list two in summary:
1. the casino probably trying to send a message to customers that they have to keep betting in order to be lucky.  But this doesn't guarantee winning to a bettor, who is gambling in this case (depending on financial status of the bettor) before he goes into financial ruin

2. The streamer did not take any financial risk whereas he/she is encouraging viewers to take big risk (gamble) to be able to win, and there is no guarantee the viewers will win if they take such risk the streamer is encouraging them to take.

Both likely qualify as marketing deception or scam.

2050  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: March 18, 2021, 09:23:57 AM
Corruption is inevitable in life. It basically covers every sphere and sports isn't going to be an option. I hear there are fixed  bets and I wonder how does this happen? Because actually,  some assured draws comes off that way and I you wonder how did it happen. Its only because of the corrupt officials and stake holders in the sports system. Sports is entertainment as much as it is business and as such, it would always be exploited for some profit by stakeholders when they aren't closely monitored.
All your questions are answerable because of money, the greed of money coming from those corrupt individuals who are encircling this indusdtry. Sports gambling is to wide so expect that there are people who have a huge amount of investment, they are throwing huge amount of money just to control everything without any trace.

Though it's not exactly no traced but because again of money, they can work in front of those blind officials with the eyes that fully covered of huge amount of bribe money.

It is true that money and greed are the main causes of corruption, especially since the circulation of money in sports gambling is enormous. Make
some people in the world of sports become involved in corruption, because they want large amounts of money, so do whatever it takes to earn money.
Even though they know that corruption is wrong, those who are involved in corruption only focus on money. This is a human being who cannot control
his greed, will inevitably be involved in corruption.

I guess you are blaming the corruption partly on gambling in Sport betting? Well, that wouldn't surprise me too much if morality isn't enforced in Sport Betting/Prediction Market. Prediction/Betting Market and other businesses must be safe for society and people. If you don't promote safety and enforce it, people will do whatever they want.
Match fixing should never be encouraged or tolerated. It will likely encourage the kind of corruption Mr.right85, Fredomago & you described.
2051  Economy / Economics / Re: Your economic competitor is at the other side of the globe on: March 17, 2021, 08:26:11 PM
Ofcourse. Children should be taught to make/invent good things and be usefu tol society. And they must be taught only  good/right things, and you don't mold them to become what they are not designed to be. By the way, there are lots of kids who go through apprenticeship and learn how to make very useful things...People tend to ignore that important aspect of education. If you could just modernise the apprenticeship without  changing the setting too much (just upgrade the master's equipment and teach him how to use it), it could compete really  well both Internationally and locally.
The children  will  also need be taught to read and write, plus other good basic subjects that won't bore them or make them dumb.

2052  Economy / Economics / Re: How to plan and operate the economy in mining. on: March 17, 2021, 07:34:23 PM
Unfortunately i'm not into mining, and i wish i know about the factors that could  affect your mining business where you are operating  it.
By the way,  was wondering if this section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.40 is the right place to move your post in order the get answers to your questions from experienced miners who may even know  how things work where you operate , advise you on the profitability of mining there , and also advise you on how to plan your mining business.
2053  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are we in a Simulation? on: March 17, 2021, 04:32:57 PM
Our world contains a lot of hidden complexity. For example, we can calculate the properties of protons according to basic laws, but these calculation formulas are extremely complicated. It is really a bad strategy to build a simulated world with such difficult-to-calculate components.
Could this not be explained by AI, giving AI a set of basic instructions to generate a universe, and the way the AI interprets and execute those laws turn out far more complicated than "necessary"?

An Uncreated CREATOR created everything. And HE is a Perfect BEING  that can't be quantified in terms of perfection, size, intelligence, powers, etc.
HE is the source of everything good like  life, knowledge, wisdom, understanding, etc. I wouldn't trust any so called knowledge if it doesn't come directly from the SOURCE.

2054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best way to get the best gas fees for eth tokens on: March 17, 2021, 03:06:46 PM
Does it really cost that much to send $10 worth of token, or is exaggerated?
The current fees as archived here(Wed, 17 Mar 2021 14:52:40 UTC): https://archive.fo/EVqKj is  higher than what is represented on the image, I guess it increased again. And fees was quite low in Aug 19th 2020 19:08:36 UTC:  https://archive.fo/Aq7lG

The increase in Ethereum price also contributed to the high fee. Hope they also factor this while planning for better way of calculation in the future.

2055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have concluded that all governments together can't stop bitcoin on: March 17, 2021, 10:24:55 AM
Well, that will only be possible with a very decentralized Bitcoin with good & safe ideals/principles the whole world can't find fault in.
One of the strongest point that is currently helping Bitcoin is it being a more moral network/system than fiat currencies system. If you remove the good aspects , I doubt most people will be able to handle the guilt when it's exposed to thorough scrutiny.
2056  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: We should build a seastead on: March 17, 2021, 10:00:08 AM
Don't put the cart before the horse.

Hmm, quite the infidel  Grin How would a crypto nation be anything other than prosperous?

At that stage some sort diplomatic manoeuvring and/or buying protection or starting a professional army would probably become necessary.

Buying your freedom and not really be free at all does not sound too good from my point of view.
It's like living as an expat in a foreign country, all is nice and well until that nation decides you're not welcomed anymore there since your former country wants you back for god knows what legal matter or cuts your pension. As for a professional army, times have changed, a real army that would have the capabilities of defending against one superior in numbers by factors of 5 or 10 would cost you more than bribing the entire congress.

Plus I don't know why but I can't picture a lot of the guys here would agree with paying taxes for a private army and even a lot less of them actually joining one, I've done my military service, no way in hell I'm going to a battlefield. Having an 417 under the bed in case some somali pirate thinks he's Long John Silver is one thing, open war is different.

A community near a somewhat stable and peaceful country is one thing, building and running a country in a hostile location is something else, but who knows, maybe I'm just growing to old for it.

Better to invest in non-lethal weapons and a decentralized city that can be easily moved anywhere really fast to avoid destructive/violent war or conflict. Besides, I think such City/Nation will need to guarantee strong transparency in order to be allowed to operate. In my opinion, that should be part of her contract with host/neighboring nations.
2057  Other / Off-topic / Re: How is Anonymity seen in your culture? on: March 17, 2021, 09:22:13 AM
for my culture, it means introvert or selflessness or the protection of personal information. when in school, we need to vote to decide who'll be monitor or who can get some title of honor. then anonymity is needed to aviod offending others...or when you grow unsatisfied with someone, especially someone in office or with reputation, you can write to his superior anonymously.

Interesting.
Anonymity is indeed very important in society. It's very useful during election, it can be use by people to report crimes/evil without fear,  vulnerable people could use it to stay safe under tyranny/evil, and ofcourse certain people prefer/enjoy being anonymous while doing good etc

Anonymity could be abused aswell. But we can't deny innocent people their right to be anonymous because of evil people who abuse the right.
It's important to encourage Safe Anonymity. The Right to be anonymous should be guaranteed and can be taken away from people use it to commit serious crimes.
It should be possible to track people who are anonymous in public space, but you still guarantee their anonymity. This can work really well on a decentralized, transparent, immutable, system/network.
2058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? on: March 16, 2021, 05:01:10 PM
Satoshi Nakamoto is the name used by the person or group known as the creator of Bitcoin. Since he/she/they use an anonymous name, no one knows who Satoshi Nakamoto is. But even if we don't know who / who he is, we do know that he is the Bitcoin inventor. Satoshi Nakamoto scientifically revealed how cryptocurrencies would work in his Bitcoin whitepaper. You can find full detailed information about this anonymous creator on our blog.

https://coinsfera.com/blog/satoshi-nakamoto-the-mysterious-name-behind-the-bitcoin

The name of the creator is actually known, which Satoshi Nakamoto... the debate is whether that's the real name or not.
I think lots of matured, intelligent, serious & cautious adult wouldn't use other people names as theirs. Children would make such mistakes more.
2059  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is skipping meal a bad habit? on: March 16, 2021, 04:02:18 PM
Researchers say we should as much as possible avoid skipping meals especially breakfast, this is because food is an essential requirement for the bsody to produce energy needed for work. Skipping meals is a bad habit that if not checked, can cause stomach ulcer.

I believe fasting or skipping meal works well for certain people. I try not to do it for too long though.. I sometimes feed on only very light healthy natural foods like really good oil/fat, fruits, vegetables,, herbs/tea, lots of warm water etc while fasting. I actually recommend the latter for those who are worried about skipping meal. It feels like your body produces gentle blue flame while using those kind of foods
I think a lot of doctors are not actually trained in nutrition and a lot of nutritionists were trained many years ago, anecdotes dont equal science but when you have thousands of succcess stories you have to start thinking that perhaps theres something to it.

Ofcourse.
I think doctors should have basic knowledge on foods and nutrition. I usually wonder why they don't recommend healthy foods to their patients and I did assume some probably want their customers to get sick often so they don't lose them.
Healthy foods and eating them properly can actually solve lots of the health problems people spend alot of money to treat in hospitals
2060  Other / Off-topic / How is Anonymity seen in your culture? on: March 16, 2021, 03:22:10 PM
Does your culture tolerate or abhor it?

Do you think it's OK to be anonymous in physical world?

Here is one very important aspect where anonymity is allowed and an important practice in my religion...
*Alms giving or donation in public

It's actually a fact that when you want GOD to bless you, you need to donate or give your alms anonymously/secretly rather than to be seen. This aspect is why I find it hard giving things online. I prefer to do such things anonymously. It actually more fulfilling to me.
