Well this is just my opinion, I think it's not against the rule directly but the thought that you're encouraging someone to post on your thread and leave a message and rewarding them a merit is like saying "give a great review to my thread and I will give you merit" It's like your paying persons to give good review to your thread after all it's just my own perception and that how I see it.
I'm actually more interested in the bad reviews, I need the feedback to make my thread more informative But I've locked my thread in the services section already. I did get one really good piece of feedback from it that I will be using to improve my post.

Take a look at this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2559282.0Just because this is in the altcoin section and is primarily directed at thread announcements offering bonus coins for commenting on their thread you are doing the same as a merit bonus and I would think that the same rule would apply to this case. Obviously, a moderator would be able to tell you for certain, but I can't see why this is any different as it has the same outcome (bumping the thread even if that's not the intention) You've got an informative thread there and I'm sure people will naturally add to it without the incentive. You're absolutely right, I'm locking my thread (in the services section) right away. Should have asked first, hope I don't get my overview thread locked because of my mistake.

With all due respect, I would like a start to this thread with a brief definition and description of UBI projects in laymen terms for people to understand coupled with dynamics of such projects and how people can benefit from it. This is an awesome compilation for those who understand but for people still new (which most of us are as crypto itself is new), this shall act as starter. Also, the theme is based on redistribution of wealth. However, generally new tokens are created every year which are further redistributed to new members. But this increased supply shall fuel inflation and wont do much good in terms of wealth redistribution. You may like to add Grant Coin ( http://www.grantcoin.org/) and Circles ( https://joincircles.net/). PS: please review both of them independently. Great feedback, I will update the thread with a better explanation. Both the coins you've mentioned were already on the list, grantcoin = manna Neo doesn't seem to have basic income as it's goal, so that one I'll not include. Enumivo was already on the list I'm kinda amazed, I can honestly say I never even considered this as an application for blockchain technology. If these projects can show the benefit to their platform, there's a chance more progressive governments might adopt this. Either way in the end someone does have the burden of funding the basic income; but using a blockchain style ledger would greatly reduce the behind the scenes costs and potential errors involved in current social assistance programs. I'm going to have to do some more reading on each but it's nice to see several developments out there focusing on distribution of wealth and not just decentralization. Thanks for putting this out there I definitely see the benefit to these platforms especially when dealing with less privileged members of society. EDIT: I just did a quick search and turned up this project as well. http://www.grantcoin.org/Grantcoin is the same as manna, check out their recent posts on that website ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) I'm personally really passionate about projects like these, because it's something that society will need sooner rather than later. This could be a great implementation of Basic income at relatively low cost. Thanks for the comment!

I hope this service isn't against the forum's rules, if it is I will lock this thread as soon as I'm notified.
1. It seems you are misusing your Smerits for bumping your own topic. 2. Why not you take some time to review constructive posts everywhere in this forum rather than only one topic, that too yours. 1. bumping the topic isn't the point, I can already do that myself every 48 hours or so. I just want some quality feedback that I can actually work with to improve the post. You can see that I've asked for feedback multiple times in my replies, but that clearly isn't doing much. 2. I'm already doing that, look at my merit history. I don't plan to spend more than 50 merits or so on this. Your explanations are sounding reasonable enough. Still, I like to suggest you to PM @Lauda (or any other veteran member) about this services. Because you should not be a beginning point of narrowing down the spirit of Merits by using it for incentivizing to get feedback. I still feel you must get feedback by natural not due to the rewards of Smerits. I've created a thread in the meta section ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Thanks for your concerns though, I do appreciate the criticism!

I've recently created a thread in the services section where I'm giving out merit for leaving a constructive comment on my thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3309769.msg34548271#msg34548271I just want to make sure if this is allowed or if it's frowned upon. The direct consequence is that my thread is getting bumped, but this is not my actual goal for providing this service. My goals is to get some quality feedback and incentivize that with a small reward in merit. If this is against the rules, I'll lock this thread immediately. Would be happy to hear from a moderator about this Edit: Forgot to mention that I have read the FAQ about the merit system, just not sure if this falls under 'selling merit' (which is not allowed of course).

I have recently created a Basic Income Overview thread in the altcoin section, but I've not received much feedback on it. If you want to earn some merit, you can do so by leaving a constructive comment on my thread. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3242065I will not give you merit if you leave spam comments. Only comments that are adding value to the thread will be rewarded! If you can find another project that I can add to the thread, you will get 7 merits. Constructive comments will receive 1 - 5 merits, depending on how much effort you put into it. I hope this service isn't against the forum's rules, if it is I will lock this thread as soon as I'm notified.

Update:
I've added 'Steem Basic Income' to the list, while it's not really a standalone project, I still think it might be useful for people who are already a member of Steemit. Let me know if someone wants certain information added to the overview or if you know of other basic income projects!

Both, Because that's two that takes you to business success. because if you do not have one then there are so many things you can do to your business.
The most important for me is to have a big capital so that what ever your business is it can turn into reality.Let us be practical this time, how can build a business without capital? You must see to it that before you plan on your idea of having a business you can secure a capital first before thinking on what business you are going to build. I don't think that it's needed in all circumstances, I mean if you're a developer than you can easily build something that doesn't require a huge upfront investment. It all depends on what kind of business you want to start. I know people who've started a successful business with just a couple of hundred dollars in their bank accounts, without any external investment. You just have to have the skills to build something yourself or learn those skills.

I have to admit that it's pretty funny to see people trying to beg for merit by writing these long posts, which basically just repeats stuff that has been said hundreds of times before. Just gave you a pity vote on your poll, even though I don't have a mom. The forum could use some more troll posts

Do people actually use Dash? Seems like it's the least talked about coin when it comes to privacy oriented altcoins. It does seem like it is the one that's most used out of all the privacy oriented coins, so it's more popular than I originally thought. http://blocktivity.info/Doing better than both Monero and Zcash.

Very interesting read regarding the 500 binary bet with odd 2 and trying Martingale, fixed or proportional betting. Unfortunately I have tried all these methods before and I can tell that this article is not correct, it is never possible to have a 87% chance of winning after 500 bets with this strategy. I think you should remove this article from your website, so far no betting strategy is proven to be perfect or to have more than 66% chance which only remains a double chance bet.
This article is good to provide you with a general idea about betting and how to manage your bankroll but it cannot have a 87% chance of winning.
Betting strategies are useless, you are just trying to decide how much money you are giving to the casino, the best strategy is the more simple bet the same amount in each bet, the only problem is that gamblers are looking for fun and for a way to beat the casino and flat betting implies you are accepting you are never going to beat the casino. Have you even read the article that OP posted? I wouldn't call it totally useless, most of the strategies are for sports betting and some are just explanations for odds calculations. There are some really good tutorials on that website and they're not all pseudoscience. Sports betting and other +EV games are one of the few instances where it could actually pay to use a decent strategy.

I would always suggest Crypto-Games, especially when you're playing with such a small balance. The minimum bets are pretty low for most of their games and you can just exchange it for a lower value altcoin if you want to have really small bets. (peercoin is good for that)
100k sats you can even get through their faucet in no time, just saying...

I think Bitcoin should be classified as a currency instead of an asset, at least in the USA this is something that needs to be changed. Now the IRS is demanding taxes between each trade, because cryptocurrencies are seen as an asset, so each trade between cryptos is seen as a taxable instance.
I really hope that all cryptocurrencies would be exempt from taxes on each trade, just like with Forex.
It's better in my country, Belgium, as crypto is only taxed when it's exchanged for fiat. You pay a flat rate of 33% on taxes on your profit.

edit: We're removing Gridcoin from website on April 11th 2018. All users with balance higher than minimum withdraw were notified on their email
Oh dang still going through with that? So I take it that there are still problems with the wallet? Well at least there are two new coins to replace it, so it doesn't sting too bad. Gridcoin team had wallet issues for over a month, so we and exchanges were waiting for GRC team to fix it. We already replaced grc with bcash and soon we'll add stellar lumens ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Stellar will be a great addition, it's the most interesting coin from that entire poll IMO. Also, since it's got a pretty low value, I reckon that it would be great to play roulette with. If the minimum bets aren't too high

Update: I've added UBIT to the list, a project I've found here on Bitcointalk. The project seems to be pretty new, but their Github seems active so I've added it. Also added Bitcointalk thread to some of the other entries and scam warning for the Purpose/dubi project. Again, let me know if you know something else that I could add
