Roger Ver earned the name Bitcoin Jesus because he is known for being a Bitcoin supporter and promoter, his company memorydealers is also one of the first company to accept Bitcoin as payment method. For me, at first he really deserves that moniker because he did a lot of things for people to know about Bitcoin and its development but when Bitcoin started to experience scaling problem, he started to promote a hard fork coin "Bitcoin Cash" and saying that it is the real Bitcoin, and allegedly sold all of his Bitcoin, he doesn't deserve to call by that name anymore. A lot of people refer now as a Bitcoin Judas, Bitcoin Antichrist because he is a traitor.
Bitcoin Judas really is a more fitting title after all the stuff he pulled with Bitcoin Cash, but I still don't think he deserved the name Bitcoin Jesus. You can't say that he was the only one who did a lot for Bitcoin in the beginning, there were many more people that did the same, if not more.

Payment received and confirmed! Thank you!

It would be really hard for you, as a new member, to get started with signature campaigns. You should expect to need at least a year or more, to get your account on a level that would earn you a decent amount.
I would focus on joining other campaigns that allow you to use different forms of social media and in the meantime you can always still post here.

Yeah it's pretty disturbing that FUD like this keeps getting published or repeated on social media. It still is a pretty shitty situation though, even if it isn't a ban on crypto. Now that the central bank has banned purchasing of crypto, a lot of Indians will need to find different ways of sending money to exchanges.
Hope this doesn't spread to other countries.

I really do hope that other European countries will follow suit eventually and create an open environment for crypto related industry. Also, not on this list but I've read that Belarus is also quite friendly towards cryptocurrency.
I am pretty sceptical however that the EU will pass regulations any time soon.

I don't think it's ever a good idea to suggest to friends and family to start investing in crypto, or just give out investment advice in general. This will just save you so much trouble in the future, as you cannot be held responsible for their actions.
I don't even answer questions like: 'Do you think the price of Bitcoin is going to go up'.

Why wouldnt you want to be licensed? Are you going to scam people?
Aint it going to be better if the players know they are safer at your side? Heck that is going to pull more investors rather than them having doubts and fear whenever they play at your casino. Check your country rules.
Running a casino with a license isn't always a guarantee that the casino isn't going to scam people. There are also enough examples of Bitcoin casino's that are operating without a license without scamming people. Stuff like this should really be reviewed by an actual lawyer.

Well they're not really lying when they say that. It's perfectly possible for a single person to win big at a casino, it's not even a rare occurrence. Now, altogether the casino makes a profit, so investors should be guaranteed a profit as well.
Gambling websites also do not outright state that you are guaranteed to win as a player.

From the governments perspective it actually is a pretty good idea to create their own crypto, even if it's centralized. I'm just thinking that there are tons of possible applications that would reduce the costs in certain areas.
I'm wondering how Petro will perform in the future, not that I'm a fan of this currency.

Thanks for the quick replies. Good that it's a non-issue then and that it isn't something that mods have to worry about too much.

As you all know, you can only join one signature campaign at a time. I was wondering what's preventing people from creating campaigns that incentivise forum members to display an additional footer in their posts at the bottom? You can probably already see that this could potentially become pretty messed up. Once someone catches on to the idea that you could basically pay someone to manually add an additional footer to every post, we could be seeing signature ads getting stacked up. Of course, this is a purely hypothetical scenario, but I'm actually surprised that this hasn't been attempted yet. I would argue that there is still certain value in an additional footer advertisement, obviously with lower rates than a dedicated spot in the signature. Is it currently not a thing because existing campaigns have a rule to prevent someone running multiple campaigns or is it just something no-one has thought about? The title 'Opening Pandora's Box' was chosen because I think that, once we start allowing campaigns like that, it would probably never end. You'd have 5 tiers of ads under every post and the forum would go to ****. It wasn't my intent to give anyone ideas I was just wondering why anyone hadn't thought of this before. You can give me reasons why!

As long as others are willing to trade for these coins they should be interesting ones to keep an eye on. Simply to see where are they heading. I myself like the idea of basic income, because in future machines will take most of our jobs and then people will have to have basic income, this is really good to see in crypto space, first time I am exposed to such thing and that I personally hear about it in crypto world. Thanks for sharing! Will go through these projects, sound interesting now.
Yeah I personally believe that this idea will definitely gain more traction in the future and that crypto is the perfect way to make it happen. One main argument against Universal Basic Income is that it would be way too expensive to implement, through these projects society does not have to burden the costs for this through taxes. The amounts you receive with Manna for example are pretty low atm, at least for people who live in first world countries, but I hope it will scale in the future. It might be worth it for people in poorer countries, for them every extra dollar they can receive per day/week counts.

These are all excellent initiatives, but it may be difficult to put them into practice as the coin or token economics need an incentive for the developers of the system and that is more difficult in these cases.
I think that most of these projects have other uses than just being a basic income. Most of these projects are run by philanthropists, so they have some form of investment to pay developers, I would assume. Only 2 of all these projects are actually listed on Coinmarketcap, so it's kinda difficult to say how most of these initiatives will get valued in the future.

I've added Purpose/Dubi to the list and also added a link to the whitepaper/equivalent. Coinmarketcap page was added where applicable. This is an excellent resource people. UBI in my opinion is what the world needs, there is a lot of disdain on the subject but you've really got nothing to lose here by giving it a shot and learning about it. Essentially it will help a huge problem with low income third world countries the most, in my opinion. Some people work for very little and even if they get x amount of dollars (usd value) each time they receive their UBI, 5 usd goes a LONG way in some countries.
As for all the resources I haven't even heard of like over half of these and I've been with manna (grantcoin) for a long time now. And I've had swift since almost release. I appreciate you showing us all of these.
Yeah I really believe that UBI is something that the world is going to need very soon, but I agree that it's quite a heated topic with lots of opponents. Manna is also my most favourite project, since they are the furthest along IMO. Most of these other projects don't even have a coin listed on exchanges.

I don't know how I'd feel about that, since it's pretty close to spamming in most cases. You basically leave spam comments under other people's content in the hopes that you get a few clicks in return.
Practically, you'd have to spend day and night contacting influencers to promote your ICO, hoping that it will go viral. All without any budget to convince them to do so.
I guess it's possible, but it's going to be difficult going up against projects that have a marketing budget.

I do not think everybody is pretty negative about the forum. Shitposters are, of course, but I think the good members of this community are fairly happy with the merit system, and their criticism only looks to improve it.
merit will improve the forum, its starting already. Once all managers of campaigns and bounties start using merit as an entry requirement then the shitposters will have no way of earning. Or normal users for that matter. I'm really afraid that merit is not going to scale well, and that only 0.1% is going to be able to rank up, which means this forum will see a lot less activity. I'm still unsure whether i think that's a good thing, or a bad thing. 17800 merit a month, or 26700 if everything is distributed twice, (or 31200 if you distribute it thrice) Is roughly what, 30/60 Hero ranks each month? On a forum with over 3 million registered members? We're really scaling down here. And that's just theorethical. Over the last few months we've seen how many users exactly rank up? 10? 30? I just want to give another counter-argument to that. You don't need to level up to make use of the forum's basic features. Not everybody is looking to get into a signature campaign, there are plenty of other opportunities on the forum. It's not that difficult to get to member status and once you have that, you can already join a low-tier campaign.

That Ethereum jackpot you've won is pretty nice, too bad the prices are still pretty low compared to last year. I haven't won any large jackpots in the last 1 - 2 years, but around 3 years ago I did win a rather large progressive jackpot on a roulette game. In total it was a little bit over 10 BTC, if I remember correctly. I don't see taht happening any time soon again

It's sad if this story is really true, but it's also a bit her own fault of trusting someone with her Bitcoins, even if that person is her own sister. She also should have made a written contract and have her sister sign it that she gave that 'loan' of 300 Bitcoins.
I'm sorry but, it's basically her own fault that this situation has happened. Just common sense really. Don't give people money unless you are prepared to never see it again.

Since the poll showed us Stellar and Bitcoin Cash are on top of the list, we'll add both! Firstly we'll add Bitcoin Cash and then Stellar. Should take less then a month to have both listed BTW: Investments are again open! Great that Stellar will get added, I think it would be a really great addition to Crypto-Games. The more coins, the better I would say! Couldn't care less about BCH, but I guess it's not a bad thing for the people that want it... Might still be a good idea to invest in that bankroll
