2141  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Dank Bank Deposits - dank soul guarantee - New music Nov 30th on: January 04, 2013, 09:18:27 PM
A hundred dollar visa gift card and a hundred dollar lowes gift card will buy me lots of bitcoins.

(re: me calling him out on his bullshit about not covering his current 52+BTC defaulted loan)

Dank is such a typical sucker, intentionally putting himself in debt to buy dumb shit he doesn't need. Using his christmas gifts to pay off his payday loans, and it's not even enough. I know he'll pop in to say he already has some of it, but we all know he's full of it, because he already made a partial payment which was probably all he had left after blowing it all on weed and funyuns.

At least this is a kinder lesson than a credit card would be. If he learns it. Also just wanted to repost this from a long time ago in the beginning of this thread since it's funny, this thread is boring now, and will probably die soon as Dank is forgotten. Until his birthday when he comes back to pay off the loan with his birthday gifts.

Did I say it did?  It doesn't make me a high risk either.  Trust me when I say I will not default on my investors, or not, but don't make claims that I'm at high risk of defaulting based off nothing.

Dank Bank defaulting would mean one of two things happens; I make the egocentric decision to steal everyone's money, which won't happen because I wouldn't allow (nor want) myself to do that.  Or I default by losing all of my money and everything I have built so far this year, which won't happen because I wouldn't let myself make decisions to put me in that situation.

It's really not that complicated, Dank Bank defaulting is bad business for me, so why would I let that happen?  I'm on track to reach my goals now, I have a plan, it's been working out fine, so why would I change what I have going for me?

Nobody wants to default. Just plugging your ears and saying "It can't happen because I won't let it", is naive and shows you have no idea what you're doing. Good entrepreneurs can identify their strengths and weaknesses and use it to their advantage, not just ignore and plunge ahead taking money from anyone who's dumb to give it to you with promises of totally being a millionaire and a rock star. Showing people you are aware of potential problems and have a backup plan is going to get you much more confidence in your abilities than "Can't happen won't let it".

Your family doesn't understand you and won't loan you money, your friends won't loan you money (how"rich" they are shouldn't matter since your stated minimum deposit is ~100 bucks), and you have very minimal success on an anonymous basis on an internet forum. There's one constant among all these situations, you. Might want to evaluate that while you're still young.
You don't understand that my plan is full of back up plans, which is what makes it so good.  That's why a default will not happen.  You also fail to realize the power of belief.  I believe I will become a globally known musician, so it will happen.

My friends would definitely loan me money, however, they don't have money to loan.  I've completed over two dozen transactions, I wouldn't call that minimum success, Dank Bank is still running strong, is it not?

2142  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tecshare lied about me scamming him on: January 04, 2013, 10:08:36 AM
So Matthew and TECSHARE had this agreement that Matthew would pay for the contract and TECSHARE would give Matthew the files? And TECSHARE offered the files to Matthew? Do I have that right?

I'm still trying to clarify with Matthew whether that was a specific agreement.  Matthew's forum post outright states that he was going to tell Tecshare to complete the work and give it to usagi, which is what usagi is relying on here and he's not lying about that - the post still exists.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=103045.msg1131616#msg1131616

I can confirm that the files were offered to Matthew.  Matthew's recollection is that he did not tell Tecshare what to do with the files but merely responded that he didn't need them (rather than telling Tecshare to give them to usagi, as his post indicated he would, or obtaining the files from Tecshare and giving them to usagi himself).

For what it's worth, I think that Matthew saying "I will be instructing Tecshare..." does imply that Matthew believed paying Tecshare entitled him to direct what happened to the files.  usagi certainly didn't object to that at the time.

So if anyone has a claim to the files, it's Matthew (or so it sounds like). At any rate, Usagi can't demand Tecshare to do anything with the files since Usagi didn't pay for them. If Matthew essentially "bought" the files, he and Tecshare need to sort out what to do with them.

Except Matthew never had the right to buy the files - as the work was done for usagi.

The correct way to resolve the situation would probably be (doesn't have to occur in this order):

Usagi pays TECSHARE
TECSHARE gives the files to usagi
TECHSHARE returns payment to Matthew.

Then everyone would have discharged their obligations under the contract.

Had Matthew simply said in his post that he was paying on behalf of usagi (and nothing more) then it would be slightly different.  But Matthew clearly laid claim to the images - by stating that he was going to give instruction about their disposition (which he apparently never did).  So either:

A.  He HAD the right to dispose of the images (I'd disagree with this - you can't buy the right to product already subject to a contract with someone else) in which case he had the right to change his mind and NOT send such instructions.
B.  He had NO right to dispose of the images - in which case, given his claim to HAVE such rights, his payment can reasonably be viewed as a gift/bribe to drop the scammer accusation.

What I'm not clear on is whether the payment made was equal to the entire payment that would be due under the contract.  If it was full payment then, despite the above, it would seem reasonable and fair (though not obligatory) to provide the files to usagi.  If, on the other hand, it was only a part payment (and there was more work and further payments involved) then the lack of instructions to proceed or further payment would indicate termination of the contract - and TECSHARE has absolutely no obligation or even moral duty to do anything at all.

This is what I was thinking as well. If Usagi now wants to enforce the original  contract (that he originally broke), then he can't make any demands until he fulfills his end of the bargain. It's not proper to only enforce part of a contract, especially when it's the only part that benefits Usagi.

Of course that would mean tecshare now has a good case for a scammer tag if that's the way Usagi wants to go.

This thread is hilarious. Also reminded me I should change the passwords on my usenet indexer accounts, didn't realize how many had closed down.

2144  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MemoryDealers.com founder Roger Ver abuses admin access at Blockchain.info on: December 23, 2012, 07:25:31 AM
Roger did a silly move, I'm sure he understands it by now. I also think he's done a lot for bitcoin, something we all should be grateful about.

It's a bit telling that you can do 99.9% good, and then do 0.01% bad (even though you didn't intend for it to be bad), and because of that 0.01% you get dismissed and/or attacked.

Try to see the big picture.

If he understood that, I don't think he'd be threatening to do it again.

1. He proved to be an asshole, before any thread here.
2. I didnt scam, BUT i have been scammed. Yes im bitbitman, which the bear found after another mistake i did. See "his" thread for more. SO that is another additional reason i found those bitcoins as a gift.
3. It was his fault

After reading those, i want EVERYONE here to reply to:

If someone did a mistake and added to your real bank account even 1$, i say it again BY MISTAKE, would you give it back? Tell the truth here.

Thanks for confirming that, it was pretty shitty of you to lie about that after I helped you out by whitelisting you so you could defend yourself.

And yes, I would have given it back, mistake or not it's not yours. You shouldn't stop respecting other people's property just because you don't have to.  Stealing from assholes is still stealing. And in the end it isn't about the person you're stealing from, it's about you and who you are as a person, and what you can live with. Good for you for giving it back though, everybody makes mistakes, only way to learn.

2150  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MemoryDealers.com founder Roger Ver abuses admin access at Blockchain.info on: December 20, 2012, 01:48:39 PM

I'm all for going after the guy

The whole Blockchain.info thing aside, don't you think it's completely unprofessional for Roger to publish the guy's address on a forum? I'm not saying it's morally wrong, I'm saying it's inappropriate. After all, this guy didn't scam Roger. He just kept the wrong change. To me it amounts to a customer service dispute, really.

What kind of company solves a customer service dispute by posting the customer's address on a forum for the sake of fifty bucks? One run by completely immature amateurs, in my opinion.

Probably not appropriate for a business to post that about a customer on a forum. I would've dealt with it privately without bringing the forum into it, and probably would've eventually dropped it and considered the money lost as the price of learning from my mistakes.

IMO it is unethical and dishonest to keep the money in that situation, assuming it all went down as Roger said (I don't know if it did).
2151  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MemoryDealers.com founder Roger Ver abuses admin access at Blockchain.info on: December 20, 2012, 12:47:17 PM
I wonder how many whiners wouldn't have done the exact same thing if it happened to themselves.. this thread would be fkn dead. Its alright to bitch and whine about it, then it happens to them and suddenly the shoe is on the other foot! Right charlie? EH? ..l0l..
I agree. blockchain.info should never have given Roger admin access to their database. There was a clear conflict of interest and as you so elegantly point out the temptation to violate the terms of service is to high.  Fortunately they have rectified the situation.
I dont know i think the openess and transparency is totally needed to disolve the problem of scammers. And i think in this situation roger v had every right  to get that information any body in the same situation has in my oponion protecting criminal likenened people is a project that wil collapse on itself. How can bitcoin succeed when scammers and criminals are protected by anonimity.

This is why  guys like charlie C start crying like big fat babies when their anonimity becomes exposed when theres a threat they start crying like babies "wwhhhhaaaaaaa whhHHWAAAaa"

Who's allowed to acces block chain then any way.
Well, there's a good bit of truth to this statement. It's true that the blockchain.info's TOS was violated in this case, but protecting dishonest people from prosecution is bad for the health of the community too. I'm kind of disheartened here as the dishonest guy gets away scot free while the original victim is blamed. I doubt that many will not go Roger's way if presented with the exact circumstances.

I'm all for going after the guy, that's why I posted his alternate account in that thread even though I disagree with Roger's actions. Also note the information I shared, I found out using publicly available information, if I had any information which wasn't publicly available I would not have shared it unless his guilt had been proven (which would also require trusting a third party which I'm not very inclined to do). Everything just got drowned out by the backlash against Roger unfortunately.

I don't buy Rob E's argument though, sounds like the age old argument of "Only criminals need privacy".
2152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Business TOS question regarding regarding privacy (need opinions) on: December 20, 2012, 08:42:18 AM
A warrant would bypass any TOS already, so that doesn't mean much. A little different than random business deciding someone's guilt.
2153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Business TOS question regarding regarding privacy (need opinions) on: December 20, 2012, 08:27:37 AM
I probably wouldn't trust a business that did that, nor frequent them. Just because some random other business decides someone did something wrong doesn't make it true.

2155  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Get The Humble THQ Bundle with Bitcoin on: December 19, 2012, 04:28:50 PM
Humble Bundle is pretty awesome. Pay what you want, with extra games/soundtracks/etc if you pay more than the minimum (which is usually 5-8 bucks). Also has an area to choose where your money goes to, split between the devs, a couple charities, humble bundle guys. Usually they are indie games, some good, some not so much. But pretty much every bundle has at least 2 games worth it. This one was a THQ bundle, had games like Saints Row the Third (which is awesome in every way), Dawn of War Gold, Red Faction, some others. There are some others doing the same thing now, I forget the names of them now though.

Most of the games (well the indie ones at least) have DRM free downloadable versions, all with a few exceptions have Steam keys.

I saw it just before he deleted it, nethead posted using this account then immediately deleted it. Was a typical nethead post, mentioned it was an anon account and he never got the money, then asked roger to end it as he had to leave in a few mins.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=75200

I am sorry BadBear, but I did not got it. You mean that nethead is bitbitman?

Yes, he accidentally posted using the wrong account that I linked. I'd recommend saving any information there, there are addresses and other info that could be helpful.

I don't know if Alanis Morissette ruined my definition of irony or not, but someone running a 0% interest "karma bank" who wrecks his car, has his phone stolen, and is constantly asking for donations all while complaining about the greed of others sure sounds ironic to me.

Lying can't be good for the karma.

Quoted from another thread, for context.

Small bump in the road, I crashed my car and my phone, along with the contacts, was stolen.  This is what happens when we live in a greed driven society.  People steal from eachother and don't realize they're stealing from their self by doing so.  People notice how you treat others, it can be hard to regain trust with yourself and others if you don't display trustworthiness and unity in your actions.

Some people cannot see the bigger picture, that one may gain a material object today, but one must also live with their actions, the consequences they cast upon other people and the divsion they impose on themselves.

I'm still working full time to make sure this happens.  I looked at bikes today, tomorrow I will be getting a bike and taking off the following day.  I will update this forum with a date and location.

I'm relying on people to realize there's much more to life than endlessly working while simultaneously depleting the earth's resources, that life can be experienced fully without death or destruction.  We make the choice to kill everyday, we can make the choice to love, together.

If you have anything positive you can contribute towards the music festival, you're welcome to bring it.

Everyone is invited, if you doubt the legitacy of the festival, you'll miss the best experience this life can offer, for now.
