2161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: History will repeat itself but not with bitcoin but it would be on ether. on: April 12, 2018, 12:54:38 PM
seems like a possibility but not that probable

btc will remain king for quite some time

comparing market caps means nothing really.

Eth did have a good POW phase which makes it more of a comparison than most pure ico issued tokens.
2162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is crypto industry dangerous ? on: April 12, 2018, 12:47:57 PM
terrifying stay well away!!

2163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] New Crypto Currency FRANKO [w/ OPENSOURCE FRK ATM!][NEW WEBSITE Design] on: April 12, 2018, 11:30:51 AM
Can someone tell me which is the most current wallet. I'm using the "franko-qt-v1.0.0" version.
Google translator.

The one in the OP is the most recent and that is still dreadful. Last block was like 20 hrs ago.

Unusable crap that has not been updated from years. Dev is unable to update it but is able to mess around and try to adapt eth code base. Sounds likely doesnt it.

Thats right I am able to work on Expanse and I do it about 12 hours a day every single day. Feels good man. Maybe you should come over to expanse, we have cookies and icecream sometimes and a less toxic community that actually helps instead of wanting me to do everything for everyone.

Don't worry expanse will get some of my attention soon just been busy.

I don't think updating this ancient copy and paste dog shit to something usable was too much to ask considering you let people to believe it was worth buying and mining for years.

Same will happen with expanse will be left to die with no consideration for the investors there.

I mean if updating to a suitable diff adjust is beyond you in 3 yrs then who would even consider being part of a project you are leading.

When you say people here did nothing they actually contributed to mining and investing obviously you consider that to be nothing so I will make sure expanse investors understand that.
2164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forbes: Bitcoin to $35000 Bitcoin: The Harder The Fall, The Higher The Rise on: April 11, 2018, 09:41:10 PM
once people realise these bullshit ico erc20 crap tokens are all the rest of the dreams and talk alts are done the flight back to btc will be quite huge.

you could see btc dominace levels back to 80 percent plus.
2165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best privacy currency on: April 11, 2018, 09:03:47 PM
PIVX - actually is missing here

 - I would add that to your poll since i would say that ranks rather highly against those you have listed if not better than most of them
2166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: April 11, 2018, 05:24:48 PM
is David away at the moment?
2167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All cryptocurrencies are worthless alphanumeric characters dressed up and sold.. on: April 11, 2018, 05:18:21 PM
90% of alts will perish

only a handful of proven long term projects with real use cases will flourish

btc will be the leader for quite some time as yet though
2168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With Governments Banning Bitcoins. Its Going To be Dead By 2020 on: April 11, 2018, 11:35:15 AM
another zero post noob trash talking shit
noob jail is sorely missed on this board.

how to demerit these annoying turds

this board is riddled with such fools

2169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Increased bitcoin users will increase internet usage affecting health of all on: April 10, 2018, 10:38:51 AM
bitcoin will increase internet usage??

this is unlikely

most bitcoin users are already using the internet for music, films, social media

btc will add practically nothing to that.

the other points you make about the internet could be valid but as to bitcoin adding to this "usage" is not significant.
2170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Professional and Institutional money are flowing in. What does that mean for us? on: April 10, 2018, 10:35:16 AM
some cryptos have a real use case and area already almost completely developed.

those are the cryptos that i would be looking at if i was a professional investment firm.

the top cryptos by MC mean nothing really.
2171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $500 million Coincheck hack: Full story + Unique pictures of darknet on: April 10, 2018, 10:32:11 AM
Hey, I've just posted this on DeepDotWeb. https://www.deepdotweb.com/2018/04/09/coincheck-hackers-have-laundered-all-of-their-nem/

Wondering what you guys think? The picture of the hacker replying to a support ticket was quite surprising to me.
Sad that they have got away with it as well.

How do you think these hacks should be avoided?
Do we need more government regulation of exchanges or should we avoid this at all costs?

Thanks for your opinions.

hack will be avoided by better decentralization of the trading and exchanges, such as atomic swaps technology for example. You can take a look at bitcoin atom, they're launching atomic swaps through their nodes this month.

Interesting, I will have a look. Right now all the DEXs are either very low liquidity or very hard to use. Atomic swaps will need the Lightning Network, which we have been waiting for a long time. Hopefully we see the technology develop soon. Personally, the KYC/AML regulations everywhere should be worrying for crypto users.

I don't think they will require lightning

already komodo and blocknet are able to conduct atomic swaps. Those two should come on strong in the next few months.

dex are the next natural steps in this arena and it is a shame it has taken this long

move somewhere better
2173  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Pakistan Central Bank Bans Banks from Cryptocurrency, ICO Transactions on: April 09, 2018, 12:29:56 PM
it doesn't matter crypto world is here to stay. Sooner or later SBP will be trading in cryptos because it is the future as far as i know.
Not only Pakistan, some major countries have also banned the virtual currency. Virtual or cryptocurrency currencies are also banned in Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Russia, Colombia, China and Nigeria.

thailand and SK and Russia are regulating now not banning
2174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin News on: April 09, 2018, 12:26:00 PM
That's a lot more than I expected. Seems a little high to me.

I would have expected way more than 2 to 1 males to females too especially considering this board is mostly men.
2175  Economy / Speculation / Re: Short term investors dump market on: April 09, 2018, 11:42:07 AM
I agree with you. Bitcoin was a little bit above $7100 dollars when it started to decline again. Sell walls were enormous.

whales obviously dont want it to go up just yet.
2176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [COVAL] Circuits Of Value - Tokenize everything [LOYYAL] on: April 08, 2018, 01:34:26 PM
this project will have us all waiting on anything substantial in 2025

how many developers does coval even have and what are their proven and tested skillsets?
2177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEW XBY ANN] XTRABYTES - Proof of Signature on: April 08, 2018, 01:32:08 PM
locking an ann thread always looks bad

needs to be reopened

most projects that die lock their ann before they gradually vanish for good

the main ann needs to be unlocked

2178  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit $50,000 this year?? on: April 08, 2018, 01:08:54 PM
I think it will reach critical mass soon and start to snowball forward at rate we still have not seen before, once the big players start panic buying 20k will look laughable to own an entire btc

alts are diluting to shit i think many alt fans will soon jump ship back to btc ...alts are becoming far too risky and the chances of picking a real winner are reducing daily.

most huge MC alts are icos and those caps are bullshit there is no investment or infastructure behind them to compare to btc.

there are a handful of alts with long term dev teams plugging away that are specialised enough in their use case for them to hold off btc encroaching on them for a while

2179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do in this bearish market? on: April 07, 2018, 05:58:18 PM
the obvious answer is consolidate all holdings to proven long term dev teams with a product and real use case

there are about 10 of them.

people are starting to wise up about whitepaper promises
2180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ALTS are the NEXT BIG THING? Add your Valid suggestion here now >>>>> POLL on: April 07, 2018, 02:32:26 PM
OptiToken has released the details regarding the airdrop on Bay holders:

Optitokens will be airdropped to BAY holders in the following format.

1:300 meaning 1 OptiToken for every 300 BAY the top 500 addresses hold in their BAY cold wallet  at time of snapshot at roughly 3pm UTC on May 1st, 2018.

The amount is set to be roughly 3.9 million OptiToken which is in ICO value nearly €500,000 value at current ICO rate of €0.12 per OptiToken. The value can grow as well as we are extending a way for others to participate. OptiToken is a strong believer in BAY and looks forward to its growth as it nears its pegging to the USD.

What if my BAY are stuck on UpBit? Please speak with Seungjin in the Korean BitBay TG group as he’s coordinating the solution and we will most certainly include those individuals.

What if I’m not a top 500 address but still active in community?
Simply shoot us an email at airdrop@optitoken.io with your Slack name or TG name and an ERC20 compatible ETH wallet address we will drop you 30 OPTI as well Smiley

Here’s an added bonus we’ve decided to add in as we try to innovate demand in this bearishly depressing market:

Airdrop doubles for BAY holders who buy 2 ETH+, triples for people who buy 5 ETH+ of OPTI. So what this means is if someone is set to receive 4,000 OPTI’s from Airdrop their allocation will raise to 8,000 or even 12,000 additional tokens

If someone from the BAY community doesn’t have enough BAY to be a top 500 address then they can still participate and receive 2,500 additional OPTI if they purchase 2 ETH+ of opti and hold at least 1000 BAY, 5,000 additional opti if they buy 5 ETH+ and hold at least 1000 BAY.

To receive this discount email info@optitoken.io with your BAY deposit address so we can explore the balance along with your email you used to sign up and purchase OptiToken. We’ll examine both address on or within a few days of the timestamp date for Airdrop which is May 1st.

Did you know?
OptiToken recently switched its ICO pegged price from the EURO to ETH=€385 (22% added value) and BTC=€6480 (20% roughly added value) whyd we do this? This gives HODL’ers and true believers in crypto a chance to rewind time a bit and peg their crypto’s value a bit higher while bad actors continue to try to drive market prices down!
OptiToken.io is where you go if you wish to participate. We hope this brings a lot of new buys to OptiToken as we have people who are now learning about BAY for the first time in our social outlets and we hope the same happens for OptiToken.

This is actually quite a nice deal for bay holders. Not that getting to buy bitbay at such low rates as these is not a great deal anyway but this is just a nice additional bonus for bit bayers.
