Patrollers (at one point, the majority of mods were patrollers -- moderators of newbies) can ban Brand New and Newbie accounts. Regular mods can ban Newbies if they haven't been whitelisted by another mod, don't have Copper membership (IIRC), and have less than 150 posts or less than 30 posts if they have earned at least 1 merit. |

The amount of money chipmixer pulls in from hackers, drug money and other criminals is very high... This marketing budget is just a drop in the bucket for them.
With current mining fees they're probably making less money, users mixing smaller amounts are also probably more hesitant to mix, or only doing it in periods when mining fees are lower. |

What I was trying to say earlier in my post, that LBC should do something for all buyers & sellers so that there is no need for extra ID verification. If a solution introduced then both the buyer & seller will be safe imo.
After that incident, both the seller and I (buyer) had to stop trading in LBC due to the poor rating on our profiles. But both of us hadn't traded nor we scammed each other, still left a negative rating in both of the profiles.
There's no other way other than LBC closely cooperating with every payment service provider (Neteller, and dozens more). It's best just to use LBC for in person cash trades. If you make your own ads you can also buy/sell below/above market rates. |

Once I had a problem with one Neteller trader, and he asked my passport or ID for verification and I didn't give him as I don't trust anyone with my personal docs.
Later we didn't make any trade, but the trader left a negative rating on my profile saying that I didn't provide ID for verification.
Why do buyers need to provide personal docs to some unknown person while the buyers who already have a verified account on LBC? In my opinion it's totally unnecessary and I think LBC need to put some changes on their terms.
Were you the one to who were supposed to pay him via Neteller? If so, he didn't want to risk dealing with the risk of accepting a payment from someone with a hacked or stolen account. Verified LBC accounts can also be hacked or sold. |

No właśnie - czy jeśli napiszę posta - którego większość będzie stanowiła treść tweeta (powiedzmy 15słów z tweeta) a ja dopiszę do tego krótszy (5-10słów) komentarz to również powinienem się spodziewać rychłego bana? Mam na myśli wrzucanie newsów - tutaj przecież liczy się szybkość, a nie forma - trochę uważam że bez sensu, żebym takiego newsa przeredagowywał swoimi słowami, skoro jest już to ładnie ułożone, lepiej niż ja kiedykolwiek bym napisał - a jednak ludziom ze społeczności np. danego coina dużo jednak czasem szybki news jest w stanie pomoć...

It's a very good decision in my opinion and Paxful should follow them because It doesn't matter how careful you are, you could fall for these scams one way or another. I remember buying some cards from someone on Paxful, and he used to have +1000 positive reviews while only a couple negative and then, his cards were carded. I managed to do some digging to find out that he's involved in some carding forums.
I had a very similar experience, except I started with the digging and so didn't send the guy any money. Not buying this excuse, credit card fraud happens with every commerce sector. If stores stopped accepting credit cards and only took cash because of a small percent of stolen cards they would be idiots. Its just the cost of doing business. It is something you factor into your costs. Only a small percentage of people are scammers, the bulk of your transactions will come from people with good intentions.
Things change when we're dealing with a pseudonymous currency, where it's too easy for someone to get paid for stolen stuff and disappear. This means you're attracting tons of scammers, and you're faced with a choice to either stop accepting risky payment methods, or introduce stringent KYC measures. |

W sumie tutaj kwestia się w zasadzie sprowadza do tego, czy mamy forum "na dany temat" czy forum "społeczności danego tematu", bo jednak w w tym drugim przypadku oczekiwałbym aby użytkownicy mieli wpływ na kształtowanie takiego forum - również jeśli chodzi o politykę wobec użytkowników i tutaj sobie trochę pofantazjuje i np. o ile plagiaryzm powinien być bezwzględnie zwalczany to już forma tej walki myślę, że mogłaby być skonsultowana z użytkownikami - no i co w zasadzie najważniejsze:

Oj jednak czekam z utęsknieniem, aż się pojawi zdecentralizowane forum z prawdziwego zdarzenia  Bo jak cieszy to, że w końcu zaczynają się porządki na forum tak jednak potencjalne ryzyko niesłusznego ukarania robi się coraz bardziej niepokojące.  Jest Usenet czy coś bardziej współczensego jak NNTPChan, Mastodon, Zeronet... ale nie bez powodu ludzie lgną do scentralizowanych stron, gdzie nie ma (dużego) problemu ze spamem, CP i innymi nielegalnymi zależnie od jurysdykcji treściami. |

Tak ale nie zabezpieczasz danych karty, a jak wiemy mogą one wypłynąć i nie powinno się ich dostarczać razem (numer karty i CVV). Co jest oczywiście niemożliwe płacąc samą kartą w sklepie online bez Paypala. A tak Paypal chroni za nas dane karty i mamy 2 razy buyer protection, raz z Paypala, a dwa z samej karty. Same plusy i muszę dodać, że korzystam z Paypala od lat i nigdy nie miałem żadnych problemów.
W przypadku sklepu online zazwyczaj nie jest to problem, bo przetwarzaniem płatności zajmuje się zaufany pośrednik jak np. payu. Z PP jest też taki problem, że w wielu miejscach się nim nie zapłaci, podejrzewam że jest to efekt dużej ilości oszustw. W Polsce jest jeszcze trudniej znaleźć sklepy akceptujące płatności przez PP, morele.net przykładowo parę lat temu przyjmowało, ale się wycofali. |

Oczywiście za grosz nie ufam tym tłumaczeniom, że kasę da się odzyskać, ale z wyrokami powinniśmy się wstrzymać do końca sprawy sądowej.
Zawsze, to może okazać się prawdą, że szukając jakiegoś banku, który chciałby z nimi współpracować, co w tamtych czasach (szczególnie na taką skalę) graniczyło z cudem i może faktycznie, to ta spółka (bank) jest winna całej aferze, bo sprzeniewierzyła powierzone na transfery fundusze, albo tak jak mówią: zostały zamrożone przez władze różnych państw i teraz są dowodem w dochodzeniach co utrudnia odzyskanie. Jak by nie było bardzo logiczne wytłumaczenie.

Powiem szczerze, że dlatego używam PayPala, bo zabezpiecza mi kartę i jestem pewien, że moje dane zostaną anonimowe podczas płatności w sklepach online.
Dodatkowe "buyer protection", z którego już korzystałem kilka razy podczas nieudanych czy nieuczciwych transakcji i zawsze dostawałem zwrot pieniędzy.
Płacąc kartą kredytową też masz ochronę kupującego i można zrobić chargeback, aby uzyskać zwrot pieniędzy. |

Why is a recurring fee even necessary? Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't turn a fee down if someone offered me it but it doesn't seem like it's essential for doing something that requires no effort once it's been set up. Is OG still being paid 0.5 a month? I know many people like to do things in bitcoin around here but this is why paying things fixed in fiat often makes much more sense, especially if it's a long-term arrangement. It's obviously worked out great for OG but not for the forum and could get much worse. Forum bug bounties are already denominated in XAU but... So you're perfectly fine to do long-term deals in fixed in bitcoin? 0.5 a month was probably mere hundreds when it was initially given. Now it's literally thousands. ... the BTC held by OgNasty has also increased in value. In a scheme involving multiple people, more than one person might start caring less about being available if something takes away their interest from the forum for some time, in the belief that other treasurers are all going to be available. So it is not about the "trust" it is about the "what if" inherent to us living in a world that is safe but not empty of tragedies.
In that case, why not a 1-out-of-2 multisig option with Theymos and OG having a key.
OG is still in charge of the coins as treasurer, the back-up being Theymos also having a key.
Both could spend the coins if needed.

Multisig can safeguard the money against the treasurer getting hit by a bus, and 1-of-2 multisig is fine for that (bus factor x2 compared to no multisig), but it can also be used to keep money safe in the event that one or more treasurer decides to retire earlier and with more money. The 1-of-2 scheme doubles this risk, so obviously a different one should be employed. Same goes for the unlikely but possible event that a treasurer gets kidnapped/tortured/extorted. In the cryptoland there have been more than a few instances of violence employed against cryptocurrency owners to get to their money. Also, on this very forum even some of the most trustworthy people have become scammers (or otherwise contributed to the misappropriation of other peoples' money, but if there's a loss, the distinction hardly matters to the victim(s)), and theymos like no one else should be well aware of this fact. Given the sums involved, a potential for criminal conspiracy between some treasurers is also something to be taken into consideration. All in all, there aren't many highly trusted individuals fit for this long-term arrangement of a job. And among those who are qualified not everyone might be willing to participate. Theymos/the Bitcoin Forum is already out of 250 BTC after paraipan died without leaving a reliable dead-man's switch, so it makes sense to be more cautious when deciding how and to whom the BTC should be sent to for gatekeeping. e: typo |

For example id shy away from ANY and ALL soviet bloc countries such as Uzbekistan based on the current political climate and the issues we have in the US with Russia right now. I would also stay away from South America as a general rule because of the massive amounts of corruption, struggle, and strife South America seems to constantly have. The US border crisis is in no small part due to the mass exodus of people in South America trying to come up this way through Mexico.
Ex-Eastern bloc countries which joined the EU are safe to do business in. You should still hire law firm if you don't know the local language though. Russia and those countries which are Russia-aligned aren't the safest places to outsiders (and to locals often, too) when it comes to doing business. Ukraine is no longer Russia-aligned but the business climate is still a little rough around the edges. |
